"Fish on Friday is a must at Emmet’s, where you’ll get a nice-sized hunk of beer-battered whitefish, deep-fried and served with fries and coleslaw. Pairs perfectly with a pint and some live music." - Tanya Edwards

We were in Boston for the first time and did not find Emmets until the last night of our 4 day visit. It was a Tuesday night and was packed which is usually a good sign. I am glad we made a reservation online because we were quickly seated. They seemed to be accommodating everyone who walked in relatively quickly but I could see how on a weekend the wait could possibly be more substantial. It definitely has a pub feel to it. Our server was also the same person who greeted and sat us. She was doing 10 things at once and doing a nice job of it. We ordered the Taste of Ireland for our meal because it was too hard to choose and we like all 3 dishes. It was absolutely delicious. My favorite was probably the Guinness stew but the Pot Pie was close second. My husband’s favorite was the Shepherds pie. It was also delicious. The veggies were still a little crisp and the flavor was amazing. We decided that this was hands down our favorite meal during our 4 day visit. We will definitely be back.

Small pub with great food & live traditional Irish music on weekends! This place was hopping when we came in on a Saturday late afternoon, so I was glad we had reservations. It can be tough to get near the bar when it's really busy. Service was a little slow, but we didn't feel rushed, so we appreciated that. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the reuben spring rolls & taste of Ireland!

Truly excellent Irish food. The Irish Sampler had three items, all of which were served hot and made you believe you were in Ireland when combined with the atmosphere of a truly old Pub in Boston. The only let down was dismissive staff. This could have been just our server. Overall, I’ll visit again and suggest you do as well—one of the better Irish Pubs in Boston. Certainly a value as well.

Good pints of Guinness here. Emmets is quite popular and I’ve always been here when it’s been busy. I may have gotten some food here but not so much to write about. They also do some really good classic cocktails. I tried the Scofflaw and it really did blow my mind. If you’re heading to Emmets as a group then I’m certain that you’ll have a good time.

Emmets Pub. Nice place to get a quick, delicious Shepherd’s Pie and a pint of G of course. Great menu. Cozy interior. Lots of pictures to marvel at on the walls. Service is quick and polite. A variety of soups, salads, starters, sandwiches and of course that Shepherd’s Pie not to mention the adult beverages.

This has been our go-to Irish pub during our first trip to Boston with live traditional music, great food and friendly staff! We really enjoyed their clam chowder and the Irish trio with chicken pub pie, Guinness stew and shepherd's pie.

Emmet’s Pub in Boston is the kind of place that makes you believe in comfort food again. I came for the corned beef and cabbage and let me tell you something I have never in my life had anything like it. I don’t know what kind of sorcery they’re working in that kitchen but that corned beef was so tender it practically apologized before melting in my mouth. The cabbage was perfectly cooked not too mushy not too crunchy just living its best life alongside that glorious beef. If my Irish ancestors had been served this back in the day maybe they wouldn’t have left. Now the service It was fine Not exactly warm and fuzzy but they got the job done I wasn’t expecting a hug but a little enthusiasm wouldn’t have hurt. They take your order they bring your food they occasionally acknowledge your existence and honestly that’s good enough when the food is this solid However, if you value your dignity your appetite and your sense of smell…do not and I repeat DO NOT sit at the table next to the bathroom I don’t know who designed the seating arrangement but whoever thought putting a table that close to the land of no return should be questioned by authorities One minute you’re enjoying the best corned beef of your life the next minute you’re catching shit. Go. Enjoy but don’t sit in the back.
