14 Last-Minute Food and Drink Ideas for Father’s Day in D.C. | Eater DC

"Pops craving pizza? Emmy Squared has the remedy. In collaboration with celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, customers can try The Streetbird, a twist on its traditional Detroit-style pizza invoking Samuelsson’s take on hot and spicy fried chicken at his Streetbird eatery. The Detroit-style pie is topped with julienned collard greens, Calabrian chili, crispy chicken, pecorino cheese and Marcus’ signature Streetbird honey. Order it from Wednesday, June 15 all the way through mid-July at all area locations (Shaw, Old Town, and Navy Yard)." - Vinciane Ngomsi

Where to Order a Wedge Salad in D.C. | Eater DC

"This relatively new addition to D.C. is known for its Detroit-style pizza, but it also has fun with its wedge salad. Described as a huge hot chicken wedge, the $18 salad combines the Nashville favorite with Alabama white sauce, chopped pickles, bleu cheese, olives, tomato and ranch dressing (it’s a $3 charge to add bacon)." - Missy Frederick

I visited on a Wednesday at about noon. No wait at all, and the server was amazing. The decor has a modern vibe do it while maintaining a laid-back feel. It's located in a very pleasant neighborhood and there's parking easily accessible just a block away. Emmy Squared Pizza has a very positive reputation for great tasting pizza and while the pizza was great it didn't particularly stand out when you compare it to other above average pizzas. Finally the price was shockingly low for such a good pizza, drinks, and impeccable service.

Perhaps some of the best pizza you'll ever get while visiting Old Town Alexandria, VA. The service is outstanding, the atmosphere is tranquil and welcoming, and the food is always top-tier. Owen was our waiter while my brother and I had lunch at Emmy Squared over the weekend, and he did an outstanding job accommodating our needs. Five Stars, and I highly recommend it to all who visit Old Town while visiting or on vacation.

I came with family as I had heard the food is delicious. We had the hot buffalo wings and the zia fries for starters. We then got two pizzas, one with grilled chicken and the other with fried chicken. Altogether, the food was okay, quite average in my opinion. What I will say is that the service was fantastic. Our server, Olsen was excellent. Polite, informed and friendly! Don’t know if I’ll go again, but overall we had a nice time.

Google
The zia fries were amazing. The drizzle on them took the 🍟 fries to another level. The pizza is 🔥 fire without question and I had the Le Big Matt 🍔 which did not disappoint. I'll be back when I'm in the DMV again. 👍🏾

Google
Holy Moly! This pizza was phenomenal. I love Detroit Style pizza as I lived in Michigan for 5 years and haven't been able to find it here. But this place did it exactly right! The sweet flavor of the crust and delicious spicy pepperoni were spot on. Even the square cut slices, despite what people think, I believe adds to the flavor somehow. Y'all gotta come down and try this pizza.

Google
Been on my pizza list for a while so glad to have checked it out. Detroit style, thick crust which I like but I go more traditional or thin normally. Good pizza, and good crust, a little doughy. I felt they needed more cheese and toppings, I got a pepperoni only on half my pizza and averaged 2 pieces of pepperoni per piece, see picture. For a $20 personal size pizza, that's pretty slim on toppings. Sausage and Pepperoni and the other half, sausage improves it significantly. Look to have some other good stuff on the menu too for a future trip, skillet pasta, waffle fries, etc. Worth a try if you haven't been. Street parking only, a fair amount of seating, we were greeted right away but it took us a while to get the check.

We went to Emmys while on vacation and it was wonderful all the way around. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive. Additionally, with it being a busy Friday night, the wait for our food was nothing. The staff was apologetic that our food was not out yet, but we really didn't feel like we were waiting very long. We had ordered a salad that came quick and the food wasn't long after. We got a free dessert for "having to wait so long" for our food. However, at no point while we were there did we feel unattended to. A pizza for myself and a burger for my fiance, and both were fantastic!

Google
"Ordered off Uber Eats and the pizza was absolutely delicious and still very fresh." - ordered 5/10/25 I enjoyed my pizza so much that I ordered again a week later. Only this time, my wife almost choked on a broken sauce bottle tip that was covered in the sauce of the pizza. The video is from the first visit. The photo is from the second, as you can see, there was a foreign object on our pizza.

Yelp
Had a really great first experience here today. Came in around 11:30am for lunch with a friend and my kiddos. Service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was cute and felt intimate. Several booths and a few tables with a decent size bar. Bathrooms could use some updating but was clean. The pizza was amazing. Nice deep dish, crispy and gooey pizza. I had the two slices of cheese with a Cesar salad. Both were fantastic and fresh. My little one had pizza sticks which were cheese breadsticks with marinara and a side of pineapple but she could have gotten fries. She devoured it and it came first which was nice since the kiddos are always ready to eat as soon as they sit down. Ha! My friend had a gluten free pie with several toppings and she said it was the best gluten free pizzas she's ever had! This is really saying something. Prices were good and for the 3 of us it was about $60 which is good for the times. Will likely return.

Yelp
WOWWW!!! My group showed up and sat down at 840pm after realizing they close at 9pm. We ordered as quickly as possible and they delivered the BEST Detroit style pizza I've every had. The MVP is an elite pizza, but the staff absolutely crushed it. Crispy crust, fluffy dough, vibrant sauce. Just wow. They delivered an amazing experience even with us showing up and staying past closing time. *The new bartender seated another group at 9:05pm because the host was cleaning in the back, not realizing they were closed. The staff obviously wasn't happy with the bartender but the staff still gave that group excellent service.

Yelp
Hey friends! This is one of my favorite spots. I've been here a few times and it's consistently great! I ordered the Le Big Matt burger($19) with a side of fries. The menu states this was an award winning burger and that award is well deserved! The flavors all came together perfectly. The temperature was cooked perfectly medium. Bonus points for the pretzel bun, it's my favorite kind of bun! The fries were a great addition. Super crispy and flavorful. We also ordered a cocktail pitcher. I can't remember the name, but it's a seasonal item. It was okay taste- wise. We would've preferred less ice. I barely felt a buzz from the cocktail and I had three lol. Customer service is consistently amazing. Very friendly staff! The owner came out to introduce himself and check on us. We sat on the patio which was a great view to people watch and watch the performances outside. I look to being here more regularly for the summer season! Hope you enjoy! With love, The Picky Pescatarian

Yelp
We came during the Alexandria pride event weekend and there was a wait list but as we decided to sit at the bar, we were able to be serviced right away. We came in and ate the Hawaiian pizza and it was SO good. As it was hot and sunny out this particular day, we also enjoyed some beers there- I forgot which, but I appreciated the quick and polite service while grabbing something small to eat.

Yelp
We sat at the bar and enjoyed the attentive service from L.T. we really enjoyed the pizza and cocktails and loved how crispy the dough was and not greasy. We highly recommend the emotional damage cocktail. Top notch and we cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
A family member went here recently for a birthday celebration. She loves the food and appreciatesd the extra effort Emmy staff took for her special day. Thank you for operating such a kind and tasty restaurant!

Yelp
Stopped by earlier today. Over all not a great experience. We were seated immediately but after that our table was forgotten. It was about 20 minutes when I had to go and ask if a server was coming to our table. Then once they came over the young lady gave a hot bottle of water. We had wings and pizza. Wings were very good. Being from NyC and CT its hard to find pizza comparable of that area. Pizza was ok a little too much dough and very oily. But for VA not bad. Probably wont be back too many negative things happened today.

Yelp
Not sure why there's mixed reviews for Emmy Squared Pizza Alx! I ordered priority UberEats and it arrived hot and crispy! I was in the mood for a thick Detroit-style deep dish pizza and Emmy Squared served up exactly what I was craving. Toppings and sauce was the perfect amount and I enjoyed every bite! I've also dined in before at the bar and service was also very friendly. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Return visit; well I've had a couple of visits since my last review. Again, 5* experience because the food is so good, especially the Detroit style pizza and the Le Big Matt burger. The staff are also very pleasant and helpful. It has a great vibe. I had the Roni pizza. I guess the Roni has become my go-to pizza after several visits. The crust, toppings, and flavors are spectacular. I don't remember from last time but this time they drizzled sauce on top (check the pic)...it was awesome. Loved that. Nice to see them add the two "Cast Iron" pasta dishes. I'll have to try them sometime. Great to see they now have YouTube TV for live sports events! Definitely a great option for Old Town residents or visitors.

Yelp
We came in hungry and left truly very happy. This was my first experience with Detroit style pizza and I'd like to call out my own ignorance, it is nothing like deep dish. The Detroit style is its own uniquely wonderful experience, with a perfect crust and just the right amount of depth to add to each bite. We went custom with our pizza design, but the menu was full of excellent prebuilt options. I mentioned we came in hungry, we certainly were not reading properly. Do better than me and recognize that the chicken sandwiches have TWO chicken patties! Not a detriment at all although it was difficult to bite into at first. There was no loss of flavor in the slightest, and while my chicken was slightly overcooked my friend's was absolutely perfect. We sat at the bar and had a lovely conversation with two of the bartenders about books and the surrounding area, stellar conversations abound. The location is prime and comfortable, I'm excited to go back and try more variety in the pies.

Yelp
Table for 4 please. We were seated almost immediately. Service was excellent. Food was really good. This deep dish square pizza was on point. My husband had wings (not pictured). I must've been paying attention to my food and the company of my bonus son and brother in law to take a picture when his food arrived. He enjoyed the wings. I can definitely see myself going back. The atmosphere was very welcoming and our server was very attentive. We actually could have had a large pizza instead of 3 to ourselves. It was an afternoon well spent with my family.

Yelp
Nice bar, lots of children in this restaurant. The espresso martini was extremely sweet to the point I couldn't drink it. Bartender never bothered to ask how the drink was either. So I guess I'll have to come back to try the food next time.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite pizza spots. Thick delicious crust with toppings to the edge! I had the Good Pauline with caramalized onion, sausage and cheese of course. Every bite was delicious. This review lost one star from me though because the bathroom was a bit unkept, and one I was in had no paper towels. In general, could have used a bit of a wipe down... But every time I come here the pizza NEVER disappoints.
google avatar

Yelp
We had the Big Hawaiian pizza and butternut squash Brussels sprouts and everything was really good. I enjoyed the focaccia-style dough they used and the brussel sprouts were also really tasty. They were pretty fast in getting out our order and we had a good waitress who would stop by and ask how the food was.

Yelp
First time visit to Emmy Squared Pizza. The place was pretty empty on a Monday afternoon but that was perfectly fine with me. The hostess immediately sat down and welcomed me with a tall bottle of cold water. I knew I wanted the Cesar salad but not sure on what pizza I wanted to get. I should start asking for recommendations. The salad was pretty big. I was not able to finish it all. I decided on the Miranda for my pizza. The Miranda has 4 cheeses, crispy bacon and hot honey. The pizza was delicious. I would order this pizza again, but I would get it without the ricotta cheese. The crust, the texture and flavor were all phenomenal. I can't wait to come back and try other pies.

Yelp
Yes! This place will be on repeat!! Just stumbled upon this place on King Street, and boy am I glad we did! After hanging out in old town, Alexandria and walking around touring shops, we were starving. Most of the restaurants were crowded with long waits, but Emmy Squared seemed to have had plenty of tables and seats. Not to mention the bar was open and no one was there as well. I was beginning to think this was a bad sign and a red flag, but it was explained later to me that they get a large number of takeout orders instead of folks eating inside on some nights. Good this for us because....At first, we started to walk away, but I am so glad we did not. We enjoyed a relaxing time at the bar over several drinks that were on point .....and strong, might I add. Also, we ordered several pizzas to go. The vibe and atmosphere was very laid back, casual and non-touristy, nor crowded. Just like I like it and something that you will find rare in this section of Old Town Alexandria due to the many visitors, out of towners, and people that flock to this historic area to enjoy the sites and views of the Potomac river. This made for an enjoyable, relaxed experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Both the drinks and food delicious! The pizza is hands down one of the best in this area of VA and I would even go as far to "almost" say....and I do quote.... The DMV! Our to-go items came out in no time and due to the smells and warmth of the pizza box, I must say I couldn't resist. I dived-in on a couple of slices of pizza at the bar and was blown away! The pizza crust had this crispy, chewy buttery edges that were to die for, and the toppings (including the meats and veggies) were plentiful. To top things off I asked for extra sauce and the they did not disappoint. There was sauce and cheese everywhere.... And, oh soooo good! The portion was more than enough to enjoy while in the restaurant and there was plenty to take home. Everything about the visit was awesome and a great experience. I plan to definitely come back when in this part of Old Town Alexandria again and again and again!!

Yelp
Hosted a group lunch at Emmy Squared. It was not very busy which I was surprised about but it was a week day. We had wings, Brussels sprout salad and caesar salad to start. I can tell why people love Emmy Squared. We had a classic and a colony pizza. I am typically a NY greasy style pizza girl and strictly round. Emmy does Squared (duh) and more savory than grease. It was all worth setting outside of my pizza box.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Detroit style pizza ... and this place knows how to do it right. I have been here a few times and the pizza has been very consistent. Fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. And ... my wife says their gluten free is one of the best she has ever had. So extra points for that! And when you add to that good service and a pleasant surrounding, you have got a winner! One word of caution ... their pricing is a little steep for pizza. So be prepared.
google avatar

William K.

Yelp
We came back late from a long walk and were hungry. The restaurant was closing in 5 minutes, but they said I could order a pizza. We had a Detroit style squares pizza. It was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I do revisit places that are at least a three my first time trying (to me that means, I am not a fan of things I ordered, but there were things shared that were not bad and there were things on the menu I'd like to try if I do come back) My second time here , I ordered from the brunch menu and got the [SEC]FAN (Which had the breakfast sausage, fried egg, american cheese on pretzel bun, ketchup + sammy sauce on side) I found this to be a really good sandwich and the breakfast sausage had a great kick of spice. The pretzel bun was fluffy, and all the ingredients worked together. It was a good portion and was filling. I would order this again! Also enjoyed the brussels sprouts salad or 'Brooklyn mozz sticks but those were great appetizers/shareable dishes. My frist time here I kept seeing the sign for Detroit styled pizza and finally decided to try it and got the Colony. I prefer more cheese than sauce on my pizza so that ratio was not the best for me. This gives me pan pizza vibes so just two slices filled me up quickly! The zia fries were a bit much for me. I realized I'm not a fan of loaded fries & pimento cheese (it's a texture thing for me) Cheesy garlic sticks were simple.

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a long time, especially since I learned there was an Old Town location. Honestly, the dinner was a blur because it was so good even though the staff were a little MIA for the first 30 minutes after we sat down. We got the Big Ang pizza and the watermelon salad and all I have to say is oof, I need come back and try everything else. The pizza was so crispy but flavorful, and the banana peppers were exactly what it needed to cut some of the fat. I hate its location since it's in the most dense part of Old Town, but the food totally makes up for it.
google avatar

Yelp
This is probably the best pizza I've had here in the DMV. The VIP Pizza (not on the menu on their website) blew me away - vodka sauce made in house, red sauce, pesto, pepperoni, mozzarella, Calabrian chilis, and a sesame seed crust. It's so good that I'm still thinking about it. The crust was deliciously crispy and the flavors were incredible. My boyfriend also LOVED the Colony Pizza. I forget the name of our waiter but she had a nose ring and was super attentive - I was torn between two beers and ended up choosing the peach tea over the source and she made sure to check in to see if I liked what I ordered. It was a little loud but the ambiance was great. I can't wait to go back and try more!
google avatar

Tanya A.

Yelp
We stopped by this restaurant for the first time today to get an appetizer as we were waiting to pick up family from the airport. I really loved the delicious, crunchy, deep dish pizza. We got the regular size and it was just perfect for my husband and me. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
Great pizza! My sister was in town visiting and we decided to stop here for lunch. We visited on a Friday afternoon before the after work rush so seating was a breeze. I love Detroit style pizza, it was crispy on the outside but still very delectable. I customized my own pizza. I think it's definitely worth visiting.
google avatar

Magdalena S.

Yelp
Before trying this place, I turned my nose up at Detroit-style pizza. I grew up in New York so what can you expect? Emmy Squared really changed my opinion. It's sooooo good! I've only gotten takeout and delivery so far but hope to eat in person sometime. My only negative is it's a bit pricey!

Robert P.

Yelp
Good pizza, very close to Sicilian. Not cheap but worth the price. . I like the extended bar at the restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Went on a Wednesday, Valentine's Day, for dinner at 6:30pm. It's a decent establishment; not fancy, very casual with tables and some booths. Everyone else in the party ordered pizzas, but I ordered a burger (so I could get enough protein). Maybe it's because I ordered mine without cheese or sauce but it was the most basic pitiful burger I've ever had. Two pretty thin patties in my opinion, and a couple of pieces of lettuce (even though I asked for a lot knowing it was all I was having). They didn't have tomatoes slices. I don't know why, but when I read 1/2 lb ground beef I was thinking a big ole patty. So suffice to say, pizza may be their specialty. Since it was Valentine's Day, they gave us some Hershey kisses with the check. I would go again to try Detroit-style pizza, but not for the burgers.
google avatar

Tim A.

Yelp
Prices, portions & customer service all need dramatic improvements, If you buy a pizza and split it with your partner with each getting a different topping, they charge full price for toppings, that should be half the cost
google avatar

Cheryl T.

Yelp
We placed an order for delivery through DoorDash. We ordered the MVP (vodka sauce, red sauce and pesto) and a Make It Your Own (red sauce, vegan cheese, mushrooms, and pepperoni). This was my first time trying Detroit style pizza and I was a huge fan! I liked how the crust was thick and chewy but still crispy on the edges. I thought the vegan cheese was really good and melted nicely onto the crust. They were generous with the toppings so i was a fan. My husband loved the MVP. He said the sauces were really good and he would definitely order here again. Next time, I'd love to try the pizzas at the restaurant when they are fresh.
google avatar

Trisha H.

Yelp
Very tasty food! We came here for dinner for two. Ordered the brussel sprouts salad which was SO GOOD. It had a kind of creamy dressing, but still fresh and what a way to eat your brussel sprouts! We also ordered pizzas - the margherita and the Big Ang pizza. Margherita, of course, was a solid staple, and the Big Ang with italian sausage and banana peppers was excellent. Paired with a glass of red wine and it was a perfectly enjoyable evening. Got the hankering for Detroit-style pizza? Check it out!
google avatar

Christopher W.

Yelp
Great service by Maria. Amazing Detroit-style pizza - mushroom ‍ and carmelized onions , plus pepperoni and mushrooms on the 2d half. Six pieces were plenty for 2. Great location near the Potomac in the heart of Old Town. Reasonably priced. Lots of fun on a hot day in July. Great galleries nearby in Torpedo Factory.
google avatar

Incynthia T.

Yelp
Great square style pizza that isn't too salty. Perfect amount of cheese, pep and sauce. And that touch of honey drizzle is key. Would definitely order again as portions are generous for the price.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
This review starts off pretty badly... but ends on a good note The service wasn't good. Our guy kept forgetting to bring things (drinks, water) and seemed very distracted. He also wasn't very knowledgeable at all about the drink selection (maybe he was new... idk). When someone who looked like the manager went around asking people how everything was, she never came to our table. What about us tho :-( so unfortunately my friend and I did not feel much hospitality at this place. Also their bathroom was dingy and needed to be cleaned. But the pizza and salad were sooooo good!! This was my first time trying Detroit style pizza. I loved it! The kitchen did a great job! This is one of those experiences where the food made up for some negatives. Since I live pretty close by, I would order this delicious food to go in the future to avoid the bad service and the dingy bathroom.

Yelp
We made a reservation for 12 people and were promptly seated. We ordered multiple pizzas including the colony, margherita, roni supreme, and MVP, plus some other appetizers that I did not try. The colony, roni, and MVP came out at the same time. I had a slice of the MVP and was blown away. It had a ton of flavor and was cooked perfectly - nice crunchy outside layer with the sesame seed crust, and doughy/soft center. Oh, so good. All of us finished all the pizzas before the margherita even thought about making an appearance. I'm not sure why that one was so delayed, but I was still excited to try after having the MVP. Unfortunately, this one had good flavor, but was overcooked and dry in comparison. I did not try the other pizzas, but others in my group really enjoyed theirs. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience at Emmy's and will look forward to trying them again as they have locations in Charlotte.

Yelp
Fatima was a great server and took great care of us during our dine. She let us enjoyed our food and made our dine in pleasurable with her great attitude.

Yelp
This is such a great lunch spot! I stopped in on a Saturday with friends who were visiting from out of town. We were able to walk in with no reservation and were seated immediately in a cozy booth. The service was excellent, our server explained Detroit style pizza and brought us water right away. We ordered drinks, a Caesar salad and the vodka pizza to share. They have an extensive brunch menu and lots of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drink options that all looked great, but I stuck with water today. The Caesar was solid but there were a few huge chunks of cheese in it. When the server dropped off the vodka pizza, he also had a second pizza that I figured was going to another table but it turns out he offered it to us on the house! It was a gluten free crust with pepperoni, Calabrian chiles, and pesto dressing. It was so nice of him to bring it to us! That said, 2 pizzas for 3 people was a lot of food and my friends don't like spice, so I had a slice of each and brought the rest home and am very excited to eat it later! The vodka pizza was really good as well, the sauce was creamy without being too rich. I left very comfortably full with a hefty takeaway box.

Yelp
I didn't grab a photo of my Hawaiian pizza but this pizza was thick and delicious. I had a skinny margarita while I waited for my order and it was perfection. Cute atmosphere and great staff. The bartender was the best. I will definitely be bringing my husband on the next visit to try this place. He loves pizza and I know he would enjoy this. It is a must try if you are in the area.

Yelp
Love this place. Vibe is chill and it's located near the water in Old Town Alexandria. Service was tops-great recommendations by the server, and they seem very genuine. Food came out in timely fashion. Food was also great! Had a little bit of pizza, breadsticks, burgers, and the drink was awesome. Definitely a new spot to go to when I have the hankering for some grandma/detroit style pies. The pizza crust is perfectly thick, fluffy, and crispy top and edges. The sauce is also delicious. Oh, and those waffle fries were yummy! Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
That chicken parm sandwich was absolutely fire! It was crispy, the sauce tasted fresh, it's was juicy, and the cheese pull was the icing on the cake. Washed it all down with their weekly special orange and mint lemonade. 5/5 for sure go get that chicken sandwich now.

Yelp
So admittedly I didn't know what "Detroit-style" pizza even was until I tried Emmy Squared, but now I'm a fan. I've primarily done takeout from here and have yet to be disappointed. My favorites so far have been the Angel (mushroom pizza) and the Miranda (four cheese pizza with bacon and a honey drizzle). Recently I dined in for the first time and it was great. I had a build-your-own pizza, though one of my friends had the Colony and I gotta admit I liked that one better. Ambiance was nice and our server Nat was fantastic! Perfect balance of being attentive without being interruptive. One of my friends has some severe food allergies and Nat and the kitchen manager and staff were incredibly accommodating and reassuring. Would come back again!

Yelp
Great pizza , awesome service and drinks what more could you want for a quick lunch and a relaxing atmosphere.

Yelp
Great service, seated as soon as we entered. Our waiter was Brian, please ask for him, he was great, energetic, and helpful. Please don't be alarmed by the size of pizza which is six slices, not only is it delicious, it's also very filling!

Yelp
They take reservations but didn't seem necessary. Plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. Family friendly as well. Food was delicious! Loved the salad and the pizza was amazing. Tons of options and each pizza is the size of a personal pizza that can be shared by 2 people so make sure to order a few. They have a kids menu for the little ones too. Drinks were not impressive at all. Several cocktails were "unavailable" which was disappointing. The service is mediocre. The hostess was unpleasant and didn't even crack a smile. Our waitress was not personable either until it came to pay for the check. It took a while to even get water at our table. Overall food was great but don't expect much from the staff.

Yelp
I love the different sauce options and flavors. We added chicken for three dollars and it was very well seasoned grilled chicken. I love the pesto flavor. We did take out order and easy to navigate on toast app.

Yelp
I really enjoyed having lunch here! If you are pizza lover, give it a try! They serve Detroit style pizza, which I have not had much of in this area. I was easily able to make a reservation a day in advance. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. We sat outside because it was a nice day so I can't comment on the interior of the restaurant. We shared cheese sticks as group and ordered individual pizzas. I had the Colony pizza and it was amazing! I am a pizza connoisseur and was really impressed with the selection of pizzas and topping combinations. Overall, I am definitely coming back to try more menu items! The restaurant is in Old Town so you will have to have patience if you want street parking. There are several garages nearby.

Yelp
There pizza, I mean, what can I say, a big pile of dough to eat, wow. I've never seen so much dough in my life....except when I look down at my stomach. There toppings, (I'm vegan so...at least I thought was when I came here) the toppings....well, on to the next thing. The sauce....I brought a microscope so I could see it. It was tasty, a bit bitter but tasty. I'm guessing canned, yeah, canned tomatoes. Overall I'd rate this place a 10, no I'm kidding I can't do that,(even though I'd love to) this place is an 8, no I'm kidding again. This place should go back to hell, you know, where it came from.

Yelp
Yep! This exceeded my expectations. I stumbled on this place somewhere online and had to give it a try because for me... pizza is life! So, I drove over the bridge from southern MD to see what this Detroit style pizza was talkin bout. I ordered a cheese, a margarita and another one with a sesame seeded crust for take out. The brief customer service was great, and I loved the style of the restaurant. I thought it was so cute when I told the bartender it was my first time and he said "oh, I am so excited for you! You're gonna love it!" He was right. I loved all 3 varieties when I got home! The only thing that I would do different would be to enjoy it hot there at the restaurant. See ya soon!
