Get the pineapple glazed chicken. Very flavorful and the chicken was still crispy. Also really enjoyed the pizza and mozzarella sticks. The chopped cheese was good but not my favorite. Will definitely come back for the pizza.

Regarding food- food was great. Fresh and appealing. However our server was dry, barely smiled, yet was professional so overall service was "blah". We will not return to this location but may try out South sides location 😊.

In this area with so many choices- this is a winner!!! I'm from Detroit and they have great Detroit (thick/crust) pizza at a reasonable price served by wonderful people in a really great space. It's worth looking for and it's also way bigger inside so nice place to hang and watch people. Lots of parking in back or around either corner- check it out!

I like Emmy’s overall. The pizza was good and if you look deep dish definitely the right place to go. Was very filling and not overpriced at all. The main issue for me was the desserts. They seemed very good based off the menu but ended up being underwhelming. The brownie tasted old and the apple cobbler had very little taste. Would definitely come back but not order the dessert.

A friend and I came here on a Tuesday night to grab a pizza and some beers. I had no expectations going in, and I was very impressed by the end of the night! We sat at the bar, and the bartender, JoDee, was fantastic. She recommended one of the beers on tap, and it is now one of my favorite (unfortunately seasonal) beers. For food, we ordered the MVP pizza and caesar salad with chicken. The pizza was unique and crispy. The salad was refreshing and had the perfect level of dressing. This is one of those places that could be a really nice date night or a nice spot to catch up friends. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I always have detailed conversations with my server before I order anything, even if my friends are eating still. I've also eaten at other locations of this restaurant before with no issues, which is why I felt comfortable ordering here. I ordered the same thing I always do, the MVP gluten free pizza. I spoke with my waitress about celiac and cross-contamination risks. She actually seemed knowledgeable, she even pointed out another menu item that wouldn't be safe for me due to cross contamination, so I felt reassured. However, something clearly went wrong between the ordering and the kitchen. The pizza looked normal, and I ate half of it. Within 30 minutes of eating and getting home, I began having a severe reaction. It is now 3am as I write this, and I've had an extremely dangerous night. I experienced hypothermia (my temperature dropped to 94), needed heated blankets, lost muscle control, vomited up my medication and had to have it administered through IV, experienced incontinence, shaking, disorientation, and dangerously low blood pressure. I'm very lucky I did not go into one of my typical seizures. My friend and boyfriend had to assisting me through the entire episode, even helping me get dressed, one of whom luckily is an ER nurse. I want to be clear: this was not just an upset stomach, this was a medical emergency. My boyfriend and I genuinely liked this restaurant and have had good experiences at other locations. This was one of our go to places. But this experience has completely shattered my trust. I'm deeply disappointed and honestly just shaken. I need the restaurant to understand how serious this was and ensure that this doesn't happen to someone else. And just to note, my boyfriend paid $80+ for all three of us, no drinks, each got a pizza, and he got an appetizer.

We ordered pick up for the first time. Order was prepared efficiently and timely. The pizza was great. However, the Caesar salad that was supposed to server 2-3 people barely served one. It was literally the left over lettuce that was not refilled in the kitchen (at least that’s what it looked like)! The serving didn’t even cover the bottom of the box and a thing of dressing. I laugh out loud at the serving when I opened it. Please do better especially for the prices.

Stumbled in here late on a Thursday night because other stuff was closed. They were open for about another 40 minutes but were very accomodating! I had no idea this place was tucked away on Central. Got a large Margherita to spit between two people, and not only was it incredible (probably some of the tastiest pizza I've ever had), it was insanely reasonably priced for the amount of pizza it was. Will absolutely be back!

Excellent pizza, atmosphere, and service. Never nearly busy enough for the quality they put out. Has quickly become a new favorite for us!

Fresh Detroit style pizza. It was really good came out fresh. Our server was really nice and it was a romantic setting inside so it was nice and quiet. I enjoyed my pizza it was full of veggies and cheesy

The atmosphere, the service, and everything very good. The food was great good as well and I would really recommend this place for a nice chill place to eat. the atmosphere felt really good and comfortable to be in. And the server we had her name is Emily, she checked in on us and made this a good experience! 10/10 would come again!

Good Paulie Pizza (4/5): Very good flavors, but I would've preferred a crispier crust (it was also too doughy inside). The smoked Gouda was fantastic, and I liked the sausage as well. I liked that there wasn't much sauce. I'm honestly not sure if it even had any sauce. Big Ang Pizza (2/5): Not a fan of the ricotta at all. I also didn't love the vodka sauce. The sausage was good though. Same issues with the crust that the Good Paulie had. (I added my own hot honey and that made it a lot better). *Pretty small pizzas for the price... RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

This time around I asked for a to go. It took a bit longer than expected and as it was communicated. Originally I was told 10-15 minutes and it took at least 40 mins. The pizza however as it was in my first visit to the south east location- worth every minute of the way. The dough of Emmys pizza is delicious and I'm always a happy satisfied costumer afterwards. Price tag goes along with the quality of this pizza so price range is similar to most however pizza is smaller. Still pretty good deal. If you haven't tried their pizza or visited this location I'd recommend coming to this one due to space and it's very very charming I dare say a romantic elegant cool chick vibe at night, I'd be happy if a date brought me here, just saying :)

This place was excellent and I'm only sad we didn't know of it before accidentally venturing into this part of town. They have a lot of Gluten Free options and everything we had was amazing, including the margaritas! Our service was exceptionally friendly even though they were dealing with being understaffed on a holiday weekend. The mozzarella sticks are massive and amazing, get them.

Today was a FIRST... I loved Emmy Squared Pizza since it first opened in Plaza Midwood. My husband and I raved about it! But our experience for dinner today was something we will never forget. While we were seated inside a booth drinking and eating, something caught our eye and it was a mouse on the floor crossing over from one booth to another. I immediately dropped what I was eating and my husband ran up to the host to notify him a mouse was in the restaurant. The host alerted our waiter, and the waiter alerted his manager. However, it seems like none of them were as shocked or disturbed as we were. We thought this must have happened before. The manager came to our table to let us know she heard of the mouse, but she also lied to us that she never knew they were behind the walls (we later found another Yelp review that mentioned the mouse a year ago!). Nothing was done about our situation, like moving us to another table or taking care of our bill for the dining inconvenience (I WAS GROSSED OUT!!!). I honestly felt a little sick after I left the restaurant, constantly thinking back about the situation...just traumatizing!!!!! We even saw the host seat another party that came in to dine-in right where the mouse was...UGH!!! Anyhow, I thought the manager should have handle the situation a little better after our dinner was disrupted, we were disgusted sitting there, and me wanting to leave right away to go home and take a shower. Also, the HEALTH DEPARTMENT needs to come out immediately for inspection (not on just this restaurant, but probably for the entire building). Needless to say we won't be returning. I was very sad this situation occurred, and hope the restaurant really does hire a proper exterminator this time around to take care of the rat infestation.

Went for a mid week dinner. Not too busy. This was our first time. Pizza, service and drinks were great. The kind of place you can be a regular at

My mother, sister, and I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. My mom and I had previously tried Emmy's takeout in Athens and were impressed. My sister was looking forward to trying it for the first time! We arrived for an early dinner and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. There is a parking lot near by that offers free, but limited parking. The ambiance has an industrial feel to it. We were slightly disappointed with the service, as it was slow. We started with the shaved brussel sprout salad and the cheesy garlic sticks. These took a while to come out. The garlic sticks included six large cheesy garlic breadsticks with parsley pesto, and spicy tomato dipping sauce. The pesto is very strong, my sister didn't enjoy them as much because of that. The shaved brussel sprout salad included Pickled red onion, cashew, blue cheese, dried cherries, and a miso dressing. My mother and I love this salad! It has so much unique flavor and all the various components of the salad compliments each other nicely. For our pizzas we opted for the Big Hawaiian, Big Ang, and MVP. The pizza took a very long time to come out. When it did arrive, they explained to us that one of the pizzas was undercooked and that was the cause of the long wait. The Big Hawaiian included ezzo pepperoni, crispy bacon, pineapple, and chile glaze. The sweetness of the pineapples and heat of the chile glaze work so well together! All of us really enjoyed this pizza! The Big Ang included house made vodka sauce, ricotta, double pecorino, italian sausage, and banana peppers. This was a really unique pizza, but was our favorite. The ricotta is very creamy and plentiful, the vodka sauce is subtle, the sausage adds a smokiness, and the banana peppers are the perfect addition. The MVP is a bold pizza including house made vodka sauce, red sauce, garlic parsley pesto, and a sesame seed crust. The flavors are all very strong, but in the best the way. The pizza was served very hot and the edges of the crusts were crispy to perfection! Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Emmy's. The service was slow, but they did take off a charge for one of our pizzas due to the delay! The pizzas were all quite tasty and the starters were satisfactory. This was a very filling meal and we definitely took home leftovers. Always will look forward to eating at an Emmy's and will probably return to a location at some point.

No service. One man show on a Sunday. Waited 10 minutes before the manager came to make a drink at which I declined. Music system is nice though

I tried this spot using Uber Eats for dinner after a late night with work. I ordered the kids pizza sticks (came with sauce), brussels sprouts salad, and a can of grapefruit soda (not pictured). The meal was filling. I need to stop by to try some pizza. The sticks were hot, and the salad & soda were cold on delivery.

The pizza was amazing! We don't go out for pizza often because we have a pizza oven and make our own pizza most of the time. We did the margarita and made our own custom pizza. We also had the Cesar salad - also delicious. The service was just okay. At first, we asked the sit outside. All of the tables were covered in pollen and we had to ask to have them wiped. None of the umbrellas were up and it was super sunny so we ended up switching to be inside. The service was fine but didn't go out of their way to help you.

Nice bar and pizza shop. The MVP is very good! The sangria is individually made, not a pitcher. Kids pizza sticks were great, kiddo really enjoyed! Service was great, we got to speak to the staff and had plenty of time to ask any questions we wanted.

We have visited Emmy's quite a few times and we have loved the experience and the food. We always receive great customer service, I just wish the pizza wasn't always deep dish and there were more options.

Emmy Squared Pizza was amazing. We visited this place after a couple drinks in Plaza Midwood and got there around 830pm on a Saturday night, we were greeted with a warm welcome and our server was super nice. The pizza and the salad were so crunchy and delicious and would definitely order the same combination again! They also have a full bar and a good drinking selection. Can't wait for warmer days and hang out on their "hidden" back patio.

Emmy Emmy Emmy. I didn't even finish eating one full piece before I started writing this. The presentation to begin with was glorious. The 7 minutes it took to get the pizza home was too long! We ordered a make your own with Detroit style crust, red sauce, mozzarella, bell peppers, mushrooms, caramelized onions, pickled jalapenos, and honey! This pizza was fantastic! I appreciated the amount of sauce added! Nothing worst than a dry pizza! The honey really set this whole thing off! We didn't have words after the first bite, just a mutual nod meaning "this is AMAZING!" We also got a Caesar salad. I wouldn't say this serves 2-3 people. More like 1.5. The caesar dressing shocked me because it was green so I had to have a little taste before putting it all over the salad. Definitely taste homemade and has a pungent fishy, anchovy flavor which settled when ate with the salad. Overall I enjoyed it! We got the pizza to go and I'm assuming that's why the pizza was a bit soggy on the bottom and lacking the crunch I like. Hot food and boxes just don't mix well. Regardless we will definitely be adding this to our top pizza spots

Stopped by one evening and was able to be seated almost immediately without a reservation. But I would recommend booking ahead as this place can get busy fast! My husband and I both got pizzas, which were more of a Chicago/ deep dish pizza style. Very good!

Waiter MIA, pizza... gross, also added pepperoni when we do not eat meat. Overall bad dining experience. Spent 4 hours here for mid pizza and mid service. Pizza had gross gray sauce on top.

This Emmy Squared Pizza location in Plaza Midwood in Charlotte was my first time at any Emmy Squared Pizza location. My wife and I loved it. In fact, I'm pretty sure everyone at our table of eight enjoyed it. I hadn't heard of this chain until we visited and I left very impressed. The pizza here was outstanding. Emmy Squared specializes in Detroit-style or a hybrid Detroit-New York-style pizza: square/rectangular-cut and deep-dish. The first Emmy Squared opened in Brooklyn in 2016. Now, there are several locations up and down the East Coast. They include two in Atlanta, two in Charlotte, and one in Durham. This Plaza Midwood location opened in September 2021. The second location in Charlotte opened in South End in November 2021: https://bit.ly/3uYK8UD. Our party of eight visited this location on a Saturday around 7:30pm. We were bar-hopping in the neighborhood and checked in with the restaurant in-person around 6:45-7:00pm or so. At that time, we were told the wait was going to be about an hour. We waited across the street at The Workman's Friend gastropub (https://bit.ly/3rX2aVf) for our table to open up. Our large group, in multiple cars, ended up parking in a couple different spots, both free: (1) the Thomas Avenue Public Lot on Thomas Ave, just south of Central Ave and (2) on Thomas Ave (street parking), just north of Central Ave and just up the block from The Workman's Friend. In Plaza Midwood, Emmy Squared has a new, modern, and beautiful space separated into two rooms: the main dining room in front and the bar/lounge room in the back. It's a good-looking restaurant with a casual vibe. During our visit, we were one of two birthday party groups. Most, if not all, tables were taken for the duration of our stay, from about 7:30pm to 9:30pm. This place is popular and for good reason. Not only was the food great, but service from our server, Kristen K, was excellent as well. The pizzas were the standouts, as they should be. All of Emmy Squared's pizzas are made with King Arthur Baking Company organic flour. What does that mean? I don't know. What I do know is the crust on these pizzas was consistently delicious. It had perfect flavor and consistency/chew -- just the right amount of crispiness on the outside and ideally warm, soft, and springy on the inside. Truly delectable. My favorite pizzas were the Big Al (red) and the Bad Paulie (white). There was also a Good Paulie on the menu. The Good Paulie was the same as the Bad Paulie except it didn't come with Calabrian chilies and banana peppers. The peppers did indeed bring the heat to all of the dishes they were in, so if you like spicy food, you should be satisfied with the spice level here. The spice was noticeable in the Eggplant Parm. If you're a fan of Eggplant Parm, I highly recommend trying Emmy Squared's version. It's unique in that it's served in a skillet and fried on the sides for a distinctly crisp texture on the outside. Overall, I thought all of the ingredients were good quality and all of the dishes were well-executed. The only ordinary dish was the Waffle Fries. They were pretty standard, similar to the ones you'd get at Chick-fil-A. One "downside" to Emmy Squared is I found the food to be generally greasy/oily and heavy. However, this is a pizza joint after all, so it's par for the course there.

I enjoyed Emmy Squared in Charlotte. I have been to an NYC location, which I thought was amazing and had great atmosphere (you can't beat pizza in NY, even if it is Detroit style). The Charlotte location was a little "cold" feeling. We ordered a Caesar salad, the VIP pizza and I had a passionfruit cocktail. The salad was a little dry and heavy on the anchovy but a very nice portion. The pizza was very good. My cocktail was great as well. I was not sure how their cocktails were but I thought it was well balanced. We did have to wait a bit for the cocktails to come out and the restaurant was pretty dead on a Wednesday night. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the pizza!

Great Detroit style pizza! Delicious crisp. Service was good, friendly. Lighting was a little dark which made it hard to see, but otherwise nice.

Tasty, but a little on the spendy side. We came on a Sun night and were immediately seated in a booth. The place seemed very large for Plaza Midwood area - as it seemed to go back forever. For starters, we tried the Kale Italian Salad ($13) and it was flavorful. My bride went with the Margherita Pizza ($21) and said it was okay....frankly, she had never ordered burrata on a pizza before and turns out it's not her thing. I ordered the Roni Supreme ($18) and it was tasty and was pretty spicy - which I liked. The pizza is a thicker pan style pizza. We both commented that the price of the pizza seemed high considering the amount of toppings. Service from Alison was great.

Fantastic Experience from the GM Teresa down to the food! The red sauce is fantastic so fresh tasting with a great garlic flavor that doesn't overpower the taste of the fresh tomatoes! No tons of seasoning which is a pet peeve of mine since GOOD TOMATO SAUCE should be very simple tomatoes, salt and maybe one more ingredient. The crust was so crunchy light and airy but on the thicker side. I loved they use a mix of mozzarella and provolone gives the pie more flavor! Mozzarella sticks were delicious light batter with a whole mozzarella stick with gooey cheese. $15 very pricey for mozzarella sticks though. Ok we are no where near vegetarian but the MEATBALLS ARE SLAMMING! Besides the texture you can't tell they are not meat! This place is a MUST TRY! Can't wait to go back and try the vodka sauce and the mushroom pie! Oh ONE THING that we didn't like.... THE RANCH DRESSING HAS MINT IN IT!!!! Wasn't a fan!!!!! Very different but different not good to us! Mint lovers this is only for you!!!! I like mint in tea or dessert only, my husband only likes it to brush his teeth

Food is lovely and the staff is helpful. The decor is a little severe but is comfortable enough. The salads are very strongly flavored. Not huge portions.

Didn't realize they had locations all over as I had only been to the ones in Nashville. That being said, some of the best pizza I've had. Faintly reminiscent of pizza made in a cast iron pan. Has such incredible flavor to the crust and I don't ever eat the crust of pizza. I ordered the build your own. Had pepperoni with ranch drizzle and the wife had the big Ang. One of the first times I've seen her obsessed over a pizza. I mean we love pizza but she doesn't usually pick leftover pizza to eat and she did with this. Service and ambiance are top tier.

Detroit style pizza is not for everyone (which I'm glad because it leaves more for me!!!). As this "new" style pizza crashes the Carolina's, I always find is curious to see how exactly it plays out. Two locations currently in Charlotte: Plaza and Southend. Since I found myself in the plaza area I went ahead and placed an online order for pickup. The website/ordering was pretty easy to navigate. There was about a 40-45 min wait time. Understandable due to staffing and I think the physical time it takes for thicker pizza to cook. I found a spot off of the Thomas Street parking area to wait it out and it wasn't long because they totally smashed their time estimate!!! It's nice because they send you and email and text alerts. The interior of the restaurant is super nice and there were folks enjoying the eat-in experience with booths. The hostess was on the phone taking orders when I walked in, but she got to me pretty quickly and I was in and out in less than a min. Tried their cheesy garlic sticks and deluxe pizza. They were super tasty and held up well even after the 20min drive for me to get home. Overall the prices tend to lean on the higher end, but I think it makes up in quality ingredients. Their pizzas all ahead gluten free alternatives and I'm surprised at the depth of their menu: burgers, sandwiches, and shareables. Will definitely be trying the other location and maybe their other signature pizzas (red and/or white)

Great location in Plaza Midwood. We walked in and without a reservation we were able to be seated immediately. There are a couple of drinks that are on the menu that they do not serve at this location since they actually don't have the alcohol to make it. Outside of this issue, the drinks were good and they kept bringing water out consistently. The Roni supreme is spicy and good! We asked to add sausage to it and were told they could but the pizza didn't come out with sausage. We didn't make a big deal out of it and just ate it as is even though I believe we were still charged for it. The size of the pizza was big enough for two people to share but if you like large portions you should be able to finish it all alone. They do offer to-go boxes if needed. I do want to come back and try some of the other pizzas and a few more drinks.

After ordering Emmy Squared through Goldbelly several times we were so excited to finally go in person and it did not disappoint! We've been twice now and both times service was great. I also love the atmosphere, not too fancy but still classy. We've had the garlic bread appetizer and Brussels sprout salad as starters and both were delicious. Definitely recommend being careful about how many bread sticks you eat if you plan on having pizza as your meal because it ends up being a lot of dough haha Pizza wise we have had the good paulie , angel pie, Nashville hot chicken, le burger and the Timothy. Detroit style pizza has become my new favorite and Emmy squared executes all these flavors perfectly! If you like pizza and good quality food you HAVE to check this place out!

First visit to Emmy Squared and it definitely won't be my last. There is a comfortable dining room at the front and a large bar at the back with a couple of sofas surrounding a tv. It was a quiet Sunday which gave us an opportunity to chat with the staff and receive great service. The pizza was excellent! I've had grandma slices and I've had Detroit style but never thought to combine them. Great flavor with a crust that had a good balance between soft and firm. The chiles added a hint of spice to a pizza that already had a lot of balanced flavors. It was filling and one pie was enough for 2 people. The kids pizza was around half the size of a full pizza - enough for my little guy. They have a full bar, appetizers and desserts, salads, burgers, and of course pizza. This is a great spot in Plaza Midwood to grab a meal or some shareables with a drink.

Fire pizza! The crispy, cheesey edges is just *chefs kiss* marvelous! We came with kids and adults and everyone loved the food. Great cocktails also. The atmosphere was great. Just know that parking will be scarce in the area

HUGE FAN -- I've been waiting for something besides Jets in the Detroit Style Pizza realm in Charlotte... and Emmy has delivered! Located off Central, almost at the corner of Pecan, you'll find this classy pizza joint. It looks fairly small, but when you walk in you can see it goes pretty far back and is larger than expected. Some booths, some tables and then a back bar area that had bar and couch seating. It's dimly lit with a killer playlist playing (or at least when I was there it was late 90s/early 2000s)! As far as the food goes, I tried the salad to two pizzas. First I started with the Caesar salad, and this salad was legit with flavor -- anchovies and all. Easily picked off or made without if that's not your jam. Not to mention it's not pre-cut or tossed and is easy for sharing! They have quite the selection of red and white pizzas so my plan was to do one white and one red, but we heard too many rave reviews about two of the reds that we just went with those. The COLONY was my favorite -- pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, & honey. The flavor was out of this world... That honey really just tied the flavor together. The I also tried the VODKA -- house made vodka sauce, basil, pecorino, essentially a non-traditional spin on the margarita pizza. If you like vodka sauce, it's a must try and this is probably the pizza for you! Now for the drinks... they had some decent wine and beer selections, but I want to talk about the cocktails. HOLY COW they were good! First of all, the Moscow mule comes in a regular glass so of course I tend to be very skeptical, but it was delicious and right on point with taste. But, let's talk about their Old Fashion... that's where I was blown away! So I'm not a huge OF fan, but I do enjoy a good bourbon here and there. Well this one knocked me off my feet as it had a hint of sweetness that balanced out the bourbon for my tastebuds. Well it's because they put a splash of Aperol in it. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of cocktail making here and will probably be back for a cocktail before hitting up the wine and beer. All in all, if you like Detroit style pizza, get your butt over to Plaza and get you some Emmy Squared! (Make a reservation though, their walk-ins can be quite a lengthy wait)

New restaurant in the Plaza Midwood area. I finally was able to try their delicious pizza. The crust was so delicious and the toppings were just as great as well. Although the price of their pizza is a little more than I'm used to paying I can say it was worth it. If you are a pizza lover like myself this is a great place to try!

I like this restaurant but didn't love my experience here. Came on a Sunday evening with no reservation. We were told the tables were full but we were welcome to find seating in the back at the bar or on the couches so we did. While waiting for service we overheard the reserved table next to us get a proper greeting, they were offered sparkling or stilled water, got a run down of the menu, was told food was made to share, etc etc. It took a little bit for someone to acknowledge us on the couches and when she did she asked if we were waiting for a to go order. We said no, she brought menus and then about 5 min later another waitress came over to take our order. We wanted to split the pizza and order some apps to compliment but when we asked for all mushroom 1/2 pepperoni we were informed you can't do halves. She then said it's only 6 pieces kind of annoyed they we were asking for 1/2 & 1/2. It's not stated on the menu so I didn't know. I thought 6 slices would make it easy to customize but I guess it's not policy. This interaction kind of annoyed me and we decided not to order apps and just get a mushroom pizza with pepperoni on the side. The pepperoni was super cold , I think the concept was missed here so my bf didn't even bother eating it. It took about 20 min to come out and in that time no one ever checked on us again. Someone else delivered the pizza. The pizza was good but all of the sauce was in the middle so the end pieces were kind of dry. Not something worth $19 to me. I'd like to come back here one day to try the chicken parm sandwich, cheesy garlic sticks, waffle fries and banana pudding and I'll be sure to make a reservation to potentially have a better experience.

I normally don't try out a new restaurant right after they open but I haven't had Detroit style pizza since I moved here from Austin 3 years ago (shout out to Via 313!!!). I ordered a Deluxe and added pepperoni through UberEATS and the whole process went smoothly. The packaging and logo are super cute! The pizza was good but the crust was undercooked. The crust should be super airy and light with lots of air holes. I hope the restaurant is able to correct this issue soon! I also ordered a side of red sauce (recommend!) and a side of ranch (meh) I definitely want to dine in and try other pizza flavors and the burger.

To say that I've been EXCITED for months about the addition of Emmy's to Charlotte's food landscape would be an understatement. Being a bit of a pizza aficionado, their combination of a deep dish-style crust, interesting topping combos, and the mouthwatering pics of the cheesy garlic sticks have had me captivated for quite some time. I finally got to order for delivery & they did not disappoint. The Colony pie w/ added bacon was delicious--savory & spicy flavors with the perfect touch of honey made this one a winner. I never thought of banana pudding as a pizza menu option, but am very glad that Emmy's did. Their rendition is the banana pudding that dreams are made of. It's what others have aimed for and didn't quite meet. Perfectly flavored & decadent pudding, all the crumbled vanilla wafers one could want, & yummy whipped cream? Yup, I'll be saving room for it every time.

So many people have suggested we come here and we were finally able to do so. We had to make a reservation like weeks in advance to get a good time. We were seated right away and our server was very friendly. We decided to come here because we'll come on, who does love pizza but they have GF options. We ordered GF cheesy garlic sticks, GF good paulie, and a colony. Everything was incredibly excellent. Many many good flavors and our server was knowledgeable and made good suggestions. The pizza was so good. We each had our own pizza which was necessary. The crust was unbelievably thick and crunchy like we wanted even for the GF options. 100% worth many trips here just to try the pizza. We will definitely be back

The wait is worth it for Emmy Squared. A recently new (mid-Covid) addition to the Plaza scene serving a classic pub-style menu of sandwiches and pizzas with a modern twist. The prices for pizza may have an initial sticker shock, but grab a couple and split them amongst your group and you can't go wrong! The crust was so crisp without sacrificing the integrity of the fluffy underlying dough. Detroit style square pizzas made with quality ingredients and ample toppings. Make sure to add yourself to the waitlist or make a reservation because it will get crowded on the weekends. I can't wait to go again!

Great pizza. Maybe not as many toppings as preferred, but still good. Had to dip the crust in ranch since there wasn't a ton of toppings, I didn't feel like eating just bread. Their other items look really good, so will need to try the fries next. My only quip is that I didn't feel the value was there. For $20+, I didn't feel it was enough. If this was a $15 pizza I'd give it 5/5 stars.

Not the best, not the worst. Emmy Squared Pizza is a cute restaurant with perfectly mediocre food. Besides the pimento fries and mozzarella sticks, nothing else we ordered was worth ordering again. Aside from the food, the silverware, glassware, and bathrooms were dirty, despite our group coming before the dinner rush. I would recommend trying Emmy once, but for me it was a one-and-done.

. So Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Small, large, circle, square, thin crust, thick crust, stuffed crust, extra toppings...you see what I did there ... well I went to go see what beauty Emmy had to offer with their Detroit style pizzas. The Plaza Midwood location offers a super cute and cozy atmosphere. Parking is tough in that area so please be mindful. The value price of the food is okay but seems to be more on the pricey side. The pizza in itself is thick and even though I'm not much a crust girl the crust/edges was well baked and just enough crunch. We ordered their classic style pizza because you can never can go wrong with classic and was satisfied. (s/n : you have to add pepperoni as an additional charge to the classic as the classic is basically a cheese pizza) Honest tip : ... yes their pizza is good but it's not something I personally would go back out of my way to eat at. If you're in one of the areas it is a good place so meet up with friends (spacious and accommodating to larger groups).

This place is understaffed, disorganized, and we waited for three pizzas for over 1.5 hours and what worse is there was only 3 other tables full. It was NOT busy at all. They brought out the wrong pizza, forgot one of our other pizzas and the whole experience was a mess. They compensated us with free meals but I would've rather paid for the right pizzas, on time, than wait up to 2 hours for some free pizza. We will not be coming back, especially with the pizza competition in Charlotte, this place can't keep up. I am only giving 2 stars vs 1 because the manager handled the situation as best as she could-communicative and apologetic.

I am currently obsessed with Detroit-style pizza. The crispy caramelized cheese around the edges and the focaccia-like crust gets me every time -- best of both worlds Emmy Squared's pizzas are the latest Detroit-style pizzas to hit the Queen City. Eight & Sand is my go-to but unfortunately they're not selling their pizzas anymore...sad

How disappointed was I today it wasn't anything about the food, the service was just horrendous. It was quiet, nobody was there. waited 45 minutes to get my order in, by then it was 9:50. The hostess had to take my order. Waitress was very nonchalant about anything, wanted to get a second drink and she was like sorry I think the bar is closed didn't even bother checking. Today was supposed to be half price "wine down Wednesday" and she charged me full price for the drink then had the excuse of "oh I didn't take your order." My table was infested with ants so I had to move to another table not even an apology or hey let me comp something. I understand times are hard and staff is strained, but there is no excuse to treat your customers so shitty. This was the only pizza place that has been decent and thought I found a good eatery. never again smh...
