"Emmy’s Vege House is a solid Vietnamese takeout operation. Their menu happens to be vegan and has noodles, rice, and stir fry. Some things are better than others here, but we’re fans of anything with tofu and crispy golden rolls. It’s perfect for when you’re craving something salty but are also feeling salty about the long wait time at Bruciato." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

We stopped by Emmy’s Vege House with high hopes, but unfortunately, we left a bit underwhelmed. While the presentation of the food looked great—colorful and neatly plated—the flavors didn’t quite live up to the visuals. The sauce on the tofu was runny and oddly textured, and the overall taste leaned heavily on salt rather than depth or seasoning. The veggies were fresh, but the dish just lacked the vibrant flavor we were expecting from a spot that focuses on plant-based meals. That said, it’s not a bad place, and maybe we just didn’t order the right dishes. The outdoor seating was a nice touch. We might give it another try in the future, but this visit didn’t wow us.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday day trip to Bainbridge Island. Emmy's had a variety of vegan noodles or rice dishes or salads to choose from, and the owner was super nice and patient in explaining the different ingredients that went into each dish. I'm not a huge fan of rice nor vegan meat, so the owner recommended me to get the ginger tofu with extra vegetables instead of rice. It turned out to be the perfect meal that I needed at that moment - the ginger sauce went well with the lightly sauteed broccoli and cabbage, and the tofu was slightly crispy and delicious.

Got the golden tofu noodle and I loved it. The tofu was yummy, it was pretty simple but still good. Good price and the place is super cute. They just operate in a little gazebo thing but the food is great quality. My mom got the rice with spring rolls and I also liked the rice. Pretty quick for the food to be ready, super friendly and nice staff, great food, good amount of seating too. Great that it is all vegetarian. This place is great and everyone should visit and try their food at least once!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was shockingly poor on every front. The customer service was third class—from the moment we entered, the host acted like we were doing them a favor by showing up. Rude, unwelcoming, and clearly uninterested in helping anyone. The wait time for food was painfully long, and even after waiting far more than reasonable, what finally arrived at the table was bland, cold, and honestly not worth the money. The taste was nowhere near restaurant quality—more like badly made home food on an off day. Absolutely no flavor !! Would definitely not recommend—plenty of better places around where your time, money, and mood won't be ruined.

We ordered the stir fry glass noodles, vermicelli, lotus salad, and chicken kebab dishes. They were all quite tasty. I really like that they offer a fully vegetarian menu and the fried vegetarian protein was not greasy at all. I would agree with some of the other reviews that some of these dishes seem a bit plain and relatively simple. They used soy instead of fish sauce to keep it vegetarian, but that definitely reduces the flavors of Vietnamese food quite a bit. Overall, the food and service was good and above expectations.

Great to see a vegan place in this area. They have 36 choices and all vegan. We found the staff welcoming but pretty in accommodating. We asked for fresh instead of fried tofu and they were not okay with that. Food was served on plastic plates, and sort of middle in portion (based on the price 12-15 for everything) . Taste was lacking and mostly salty. Sitting is outside (covered). Great to see so many options though, we will still try more.

Nice vegan find on Bainbridge island. It’s an outdoor stand with some seating for guests. Fully vegan, and offers great tasting menu and affordable. It’s a husband and wife team, from central Vietnam and always had a smile on their faces while greeting guests and taking orders. We got the #5 chicken kabob (texture and taste were right on, could be confused with real chicken), #16 tofu noddle, and #35 beef pickled veggie and rice (rice dishes usually served with brown rice but I asked for white rice instead since I like my white jasmine rice). They happily switched out for me. We overheard some guests asking are you sure it’s vegan? The cook keeps having to response “no meat! No egg! No milk!”. It was quite funny people were confused how realistically close the foods tasted.
