What an incredible island of culinary delight in the cold, cold, meat filled spot kf Seattle! I'd come back to BI just for the Curry soup again and again. Flavorful and filled with faux meat Emmy's has a plethora of choices to make you feel like you're dining at a star restaurant. On a cold winter evening, when the sun has sunk, and you're craving for warmth in the universe the curry soup is your salvation. No rest rooms. No heat. This is purely existence for the sake of eating the best there is. If this place doesn't make it to a Jiron Dreams of Suahi documentary or Chef's Table I would be sad.

Great vegan spot on Bainbridge Island! All of our food tasted really fresh, with lots of veggies. The weather was lovely, so we enjoyed the outdoor seating - it's a great spot for people watching.

Pretty average food. Got the ginger chicken with rice and the potstickers (the photo looks like it’s steamed but it was actually deep fried and very doughy. Not good) Ginger chicken was avg. as well. Good takes about it time as it’s only one person making it.

I have been visiting Emma's Vege House since going vegan back in 2014. I have brought non-vegan friends, and everyone agrees. The food is fresh and delicious, always, and the staff is friendly. Worth a visit even if you aren't vegan, but want something delicious and veggie forward.

Such a great experience! We got the sesame chicken and the noodle/rice combo that came with a delicious roll and kabobs that was truly amazing!! Very well cooked and seasoned. Even if you’re not vegan, you would enjoy this place. We felt so good after eating, no heaviness after. The owners were such kind individuals! I would 100% recommend :)

Wow AMAZING vegan food. Just so delicious and very well cooked. I was vegan for years and still enjoy vegan food every so often even though I’m not and from the 4 years I was vegan, this has been by far THE BESTTTT cooked protein I’ve ever had. It’s truly amazing. I got #21 the rice and noodle combo and it was perfect, it came with a golden roll and the kabob was delicious together with the veggies. The prices are great AND you get a lot of food! I had left overs for later and the owners are so so sweet and kind. A great place to support :)

Emmy’s Vege House has the best vegan meat I’ve ever eaten in my life!!! Big meals for a very good price, the service was great and I can highly recommend this place☺️

Emmy's Veggie house is a darling little window with a wall menu displaying a dizzying array of dishes that LOOK meaty but are not. The gal taking the order and cooking the food (Emmy?) was very friendly. The outdoor seating area is very cute, though a bit chilly for November. The food was very pretty meh, but not awful. The curry soup was made with too much thickener so the mouth feel was oddly gelatinous. It lacked subtle flavors, overall not very good, but not horrible. I was glad I sharing it as a whole bowl might have been inedible. The sweet sour "chicken" was pretty good. The sauce was your run of the mill sweet sour sauce...I am guessing not homemade. It had fresh broccoli. The "chicken" was kind of novel for a long-long-long time vegetarian like myself. No idea if it tastes like real chicken. Cannot remember the third dish, probably equally okay but not great. Prices pretty good. Anyhow, if you are passing through and it is a nice night, it would be a fine choice. Just don't expect to be wowed by the food.

Yum! Cute little place with delicious food. My friend and I had the pot stickers, stir fry noodles, and the curry noodles. All were good! And really liked that the noodles dishes came with crispy rolls and kabobs so we had a really nice variety of textures. The potstickers filling felt a little bit too wet, but that happens sometimes with veg fillings so not a big deal and still good. The space is cute, but outdoor seating only! We had nice weather when we went so that was lucky and a cozy experience. Service was kind and helpful, a little busy so the food was a bit of wait, but that's preferable as it was cooked fresh and came out steaming hot. Portions are big so plenty of leftovers. Great spot!

The food here is amazing, it's my favorite Vegan place so far!! I'm usually skeptical of plant based meats but I was pleasantly surprised with my Kabob Vermicelli salad. We got a vermicelli salad (5/5) & teriyaki strips (4/5). The vermicelli salad came with the perfect portions of every veggies, a side bottle of sauce so I could add as much as I'd like and was topped with two egg rolls. The teriyaki strips were good but not as great as the kabob vermicelli. Came with a good amount of veggies & rice. Service was amazing, the lady did a great job of reminding us the menu is all Vegan. The food also came out pretty quickly, which is perfect because we were very hungry after getting off the ferry.

Such creative and yummy vegan fare! Outdoor seating, can opt to eat on real plates or have compostable boxes to go. The kebab salad was delicious. The duck was yummy too, the veggies and all are very simple and steamed, but really all you need. Just one person (presumably Emmy) crushin it in the lil kitchen. Food was quick and easy. At the end of the busy part of town, a nice and easy stop.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday day trip to Bainbridge Island. This place only had outdoor seating, but luckily we were able to pick a table that stayed cool in the shade. Emmy's had a variety of vegan noodles or rice dishes or salads to choose from, and the owner was super nice and patient in explaining the different ingredients that went into each dish. I'm not a huge fan of rice nor vegan meat, so the owner recommended me to get the ginger tofu with extra vegetables instead of rice. It turned out to be the perfect meal that I needed at that moment - the ginger sauce went well with the lightly sauteed broccoli and cabbage, and the tofu was slightly crispy and delicious.

This was the perfect place for lunch on a day trip from Seattle. We were an omnivore, vegetarian, and vegan, and all happy with the dishes we ordered. Filling, fresh, and friendly service. The outdoor seating right next to cool shops, has a great view of the busy intersection but wasn't too noisy. I'll definitely be eating there again when I get back to Bainbridge.

We found this place when we were desperate to find something we could eat - and we'll definitely be back! Fresh ingredients everything is vegan and I hearing the omnivores around me talk about how much they enjoy their food.

My family and I dined here on New Years Eve. We appreciated the outdoor seating and its location near the heart of Bainbridge main street. The menu is extensive and ALL vegan! Many of the dishes are made with vital wheat gluten which is the main ingredient in seitan. The food took about an hour to cook since there were so many people ordering. We took advantage of that time to walk around some of the shops nearby. Once our food was ready, we enjoyed everything we were served. They served us some tasty dishes and the texture of the "meat" was spot on! Seating is strictly outdoors so plan accordingly. Also, plan to wait as it is a small kitchen with only one or two cooks at any given time.

This place is fantastic!! My only regret was forgetting to take pictures before digging in! We had a group of 7 people including small children. Everyone loved their food and we definitely shared with each other to try as many dishes as possible., They definitely except card payments now as well as cash. They were super friendly and the place was really clean! I live over 7 hours away and would be willing to make the drive back here for this place. The Thai iced tea was wonderful as well. We ordered the noodles, sesame chicken, and teriyaki chicken, I don't remember what everyone else ordered. But it was all worth the drive and parking lol The area is truly a busy area. Thank you Emmy's Vege House for a great meal and your kindness!

Dear Craig, If you head to Bainbridge, your hungry and your hungry ice is vegan then this is the place to go! I couldn't believe the food was vegan. Flavors were great. I really liked the chicken kabob with fried rice. Eggplant was fresh and aldente. Give it a try for sure.

Great food and it was quickly made too! The portions are large. Definitely recommend the kabob, it was so yummy!

What a great find just a short walk from the ferry in downtown Bainbridge. Seating is strictly outside, which is under cover from the rain but lacking heaters, so you may have to bundle up. They have a great menu with so many creative vegetarian options. Portions are generous too.

Ordered #36 and #19 the food is too salty not even edible. Returned the food after one bite. Cook and server didn't say anything. Not even offered refund or just a free drinks. Spent $40 for nothing.... Don't waste your money

Some of the best vegan food we ever had. Try the curry noodles with kabob, dip I the chili sauce, perfect texture and flavor. Light and tasty, good price for portion.

Really great food! I got the curry noodle with kebab. The kebab "meat" was perfect texture and was seasoned well. Great vegan food that hit the spot on a cold, fall day.

By far my favorite restaurant on the Island. Always tastes amazing and so many options. I could eat here everyday, it's a small family business with great hard working owners. 12/10

I've never had vegan Asian food before that had meat substitutes for bbq duck, curry chicken, etc. It's cash only, but so affordable and a big meal! I got the bbq duck for $15, and it comes with brown rice and vegetables. The sauce was a bit salty but good overall!

save your self! this food was so so bad no taste and horrible service they screamed at you and treated bad bc of race and harrasment and there were maybe 2 other people in the resteraunt and they took 2 hours maybe even more to give our food. if i could i would give them a negative rating but i cant so i am giving a one which is quite generous bc of how bad the food and especially the service!!!

Beware of this place! The food advertised is not what's served.. We ordered potstickers, spring rolls, & chicken kabobs... flavorless & gross. There was a long hair in the springs rolls as well. The food is definitely not sitting well in our stomachs.. yuck!

Nice vegan find on Bainbridge island. It's an outdoor stand with some seating for guests. Fully vegan, and offers great tasting menu and affordable. It's a husband and wife team, from central Vietnam and always had a smile on their faces while greeting guests and taking orders. We got the #5 chicken kabob (texture and taste were right on, could be confused with real chicken), #16 tofu noddle, and #35 beef pickled veggie and rice (rice dishes usually served with brown rice but I asked for white rice instead since I like my white jasmine rice). They happily switched out for me. We overheard some guests asking are you sure it's vegan? The cook keeps having to response "no meat! No egg! No milk!". It was quite funny people were confused how realistically close the foods tasted.

This food-stand is located at the West end of downtown Bainbridge as you get off the dock. They offer decent vegan food at a moderate price. Most entrees are between $10-$15 and the wait is usually under 20 minutes. They are cash only so come prepared. The kabobs taste like fried firm tofu, which doesn't quite have the meat flavor. However, the seasoning for their vegetable dishes are wonderful.

First time visiting the island and found this cute outdoor eating area. Fresh, fast, and delicious! Friendly service.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon, decided to stop by because we walked by and something smelled delicious. Decided to get a kabob and rice noodle dish with the eggrolls. Tasted exactly like home since my dad has made something similar to this! The man at the front was very friendly and when he brought out our food, he asked if we needed anything else. Was very helpful with all our restaurant experience. The place was small and quaint, but we were able to find space to sit down. If anyone stops by Bainbridge Island, I'd definitely recommend this place for a light lunch.

A literal hole in the wall at the end of Bainbridge's main tourist street, Winslow Way, this place may be the least well-known highlight of the island's culinary offerings. I was first introduced to them by a vegetarian friend who swore by their kebab and orange noodles combo - at $9 it's probably one of the cheapest plates of food on the island, and while it's a little greasy, I was pretty impressed, especially with their kebab. Their imitation meats are pretty solid. They may not fool anyone into thinking they're the real thing, but they have a satisfying texture, solid savory flavor and are cooked nicely. The kebab has a nice little bit of char on it. Tried the duck on a whim after seeing someone else comment on it in a review and it was as crispy as some real Peking duck I've had, and honestly more satisfying. Their spring roll tastes super fresh, very filling, with a simple sesame/soy sauce that goes great with it, maybe the best spring roll I've ever had. Their "golden rolls" not quite as memorable, kind of an interesting starchy filling (yam?? plantain??) together with carrot and what seems to be their house seasoning. Still, it's nice to have as a crispy side to contrast their noodle plates. Altogether I just think this place is really cool. It can be a little tricky to order but I've never been disappointed, the people behind the business seem to be pretty nice. It just feels like they really care about making good vegetarian food and I have a lot of respect for that - I haven't been to another place that feels quite like it, not that I've been looking. If you're vegan (or otherwise) looking for lunch at a reasonable price in the area I'd highly recommend giving it a try. You may not be impressed, depending on your standards for this kind of food, but at $10 a plate, I'm willing to bet you won't regret it.

Got to try 3 different dishes. Loved ALL of them. Not just liked, loved. This place is legit so good! Don't miss the curry noodles. I never had anything like this and couldn't get enough! Cash only, ample portions, nice setting. By the time our food was ready; there was space to sit and eat. I would say keep it secret, but I want this business to continue to thrive so it will be there when I next visit Bb Isle.

Fresh and tasty vegan food on Bainbridge. The mock duck was DELICIOUS and incredibly realistic; the other mock meats were just good. Many of the menu items are very veggie-forward which is a good way to get your veggies in for the day, if that's what you need!

Wonderful surprise to find a plant based restaurant on Bainbridge! Only wish I could transplant this place in my back yard. Great service as well. Excellent flavors.

Emmy's Vege House is so good! The menu is straightforward, with pictures of how it is presented. Sometimes, you need to find out if dishes will be just an entree and starch, but the pictures of all the colorful veggies piled on helped. We ordered ginger chicken and kabob noodles. They brought out a vegan fish sauce, and with a little of the hot sauce they had at the table, it was a perfect meal. I loved this place and would return. The seating area was so cute, and the food was delivered quickly, fresh, and with a smile. We had such a great experience here and will recommend it to our friends.

We had a few vegetarian guests with us while visiting Bain Bridge island, and the other restaurants around had a long wait time. Found this cute little shop run by a couple with their cute kids running around , everything on the menu was vegetarian. Found the roll and tofu a bit bland and boring. Ginger chicken and kebab were good, they forgot to add in spice for us which was a special request. Food was ready really quick . There are also tables outside to dine , so all in all a fast food - vegetarian - dine in experience

My mother who is 89 yrs old was sitting for a few minutes on one of the chairs in the outdoor seating area for this restaurant to rest her feet. There was no one else in the outdoor seating area. The woman who works at this restaurant was extremely rude to her and my son and said she needed them to move. Again there was no one in the seating area nor waiting. Zero...zilch. I complained to her and she argued with me. Incredibly rude. I would not spend a penny at this place!

loveddd the food. we were so hungry by the time we got onto bainbridge island and was so happy to find this gem. the two people working were so helpful and kind. would love to come back next time i make my way out there :)

If you're on bainbridge, try this out!! Great location in downtown, we got our food and then walked to the park and ate it at the benches by the water. This restaurant is completely vegan, so you don't have to worry about looking at every single ingredient like most restaurants. I got the thai tea and the vegan sesame chicken and they were both delicious! The thai tea was so refreshing and only $3. The prices are very reasonable and the food was amazing, I would definitely go if you're in the area! The only downside is that they only accept cash :/ and I don't really carry much cash around anymore. Other than that, 10/10.

I don't understand the good reviews. I ordered 3 dishes, they were all bad, horrible taste, over deep fried, the only sauce is soy sauce. Gross and bad tasting. There was nothing spring about the spring rolls, only maybe they have been sitting on the shelf since spring? - dry with some "aging" smell. I ate about 1/3 because I was starving. 7/11 food would have been safer and better tasting.

I was so happy to see a proper vegan fast food restaurant when we moved to Bainbridge Island earlier this year. I have tried about half the menu and my favorite is the "duck" which is amazing. The one thing I would change about Emmy's is I wish they would take credit cards as I never carry cash. The pot stickers and chicken are also highly recommended.

Great fresh rolls with dipping sauce. Reasonably priced. Reasonable wait time for food.

Cafe closed until 6/20/22 according to a sign hanging on their kiosk. Couldn't find this info anywhere else online so I thought I'd post it here for others. Menu looks awesome, hope they open back up as planned. 4 stars for offering Vegan options in a small town. Maybe 5 stars when we get to eat the food!

I went here for lunch today for the first time today and we were in and out in 5 minutes and didn't even call ahead, my grandma usually doesn't even want to try vegan food but she loves it too. I saw some reviews saying it was cash only but I paid credit and the service and recommendations were great

Meh, and they only take cash. Outdoors and spendy, for essentially, a kiosk...demanding dollar bills.

There's a lot of fancy expensive restaurants on the island but don't overlook this little hole in the wall at the end of the main street. The Golden Rose came up piping hot and delicious! I ordered the golden tofu which is as good as I've had. Also the hot sauce they have available is legit!

This place is great! It's a charming, small restaurant run by a very nice husband and wife team, with a yummy vegan menu. The food is delicious, and even our non-vegan friends enjoyed eating it. It's also in a killer location, right near the ferry terminal. I'd definitely come here again!

I used to live on the island, and I don't know how I didn't try this place before I left. Now, every time I come back, it's on my list of places to eat. This place is 100% vegan and so yummy! I always get number 21: the fried rice and noodle combo. The noodles are so yummy, fried rice has great flavor, and the kabobs are delicious. I took my boyfriend there for the first time, and his mind was blown by the kabob. "This is chicken. There's no way it's not chicken." They nail the texture and flavor. The only thing lacking for me a bit are the egg rolls, which seem a bit mushy to me. Still good flavor though. Outdoor seating only. It's a small little stand and does get busy. Cash only.

Cash only, limited seating, no bathroom or water fountain. But great food and all vegan! :) The menu has so many options and the photos are helpful. The prices are reasonable and the service was friendly and quick. I would definitely go back the next time I'm on Bainbridge.

We love the kabobs, and the iced tea! Other amazing dishes including stir fried noodles, curry soup, tofu, and I have a thing for the grain rice! Add the spicy source, it's yum.

Easy quick, cute and inexpensive place to get some vegan food. I tried the golden tofu which was really well done. Super crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. Shout out to Lynn for helping me with my phone the other day when it was lost. Nice food and people.
