Best poke bowl in Charleston. I have been many times since they opened last summer. Restaurant is very clean and the owners/operators are always working and fantastic. Great reward program and for fresh healthy food....Emoji Poke can't be beat. See you soon!

The most delicious poke spot in the Charleston area! I’ve never had PURPLE RICE with poke before and it’s amazing!! I am obsessed. All the ingredients are so fresh and the sauces are delicious! Staff is also nice too! Please open another location in North Charleston so I can go more often. 🤣❤️

Absolutely the best Poke we have found! The selection was fresh and plentiful. The employees were super kind and even understood when I said "it needs cream cheese".. we come from California and poke there is always satisfying. Emoji Poke hit thr spot and then some. Will definitely be back!!

SO. GOOD. I got their salmon poke bowl and it was amazing. (Sushi rice, salmon, cucumbers, pineapple, avacado, poke sauce, spicy mayo, and tempura flakes) I am not from Charleston and was nervous I wasn’t going to find something similar to my place from home. This was so fresh, tasty, and the restaurant was very clean. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Emoji Poke enough. The bowls are enormous and just packed with quality, fresh ingredients. Not to mention that the staff is delightful. I recommend the double scoop!

Greeted upon entry. Gentleman working behind the counter was very friendly and informative. I asked what bases they had and he quickly showed me black rice (a.k.a. Forbidden rice). I've never been a fan of brown rice, and white rice is fine, but this is perfectly in between. Other items: pineapple, edamame, avocado, radish, onion, Japanese pickle (another game changer), corn, ponzu sauce, and spicy tuna. Inside the unassuming building is a simple yet very clean restaurant with 4 tables for up to 4 people each, and 8 window seats stools. They stated there is a location in Mount Pleasant too . . . So go get you some really good poké!

Used to really enjoy going Here however they been kinda stingy on the meat lately.. lol they short u especially on tuna / salmon. Starting to go elsewhere

Emoji Poke quickly became my favorite poke spot in Charleston. Their bowls are large with hearty portions of protein, and they offer some ingredients I haven't seen in other poke restaurants. One unique ingredient is Ao-Kappa, a Japanese pickled cucumber, and if you like pickled veggies, you absolutely must get it on your bowl. The online ordering system is wonderful. I can place a lunch order from home, pay and tip online, and drive to Emoji Poke to pick it up. The pick up spot is by the door, so you don't come in contact with anyone. You can also leave a cash tip in the jar by the door or pick up condiments, silverware, or napkins. There's even a phone number rewards program to earn free items after so many purchases/points. My usual order is a build-your-own bowl with salmon and yum-yum and poke sauces on the side. My online order has always been correct and ready at the promised time. All employees are masked and COVID-conscious, and right now, the restaurant is to-go only. Even if it's a drive for you to West Ashley, take a road trip to Emoji Poke- you won't be disappointed.

Amazing build your own poke. Adorable wall painting designs. I didn't like any of the preselected menu options, but it's fun to build your own anyway- they have all the great fixins for it and most don't cost extra. Didn't try the "purple rice" but sounds fun! All protein comes in regular or spicy. Good authentic Asian drinks in the cooler like at H&L. Boyfriend got the chicken and rice since he has allergies and it was the "safest" option and he still enjoyed it!

I was about to grab lunch at somewhere nearby here and saw this place instead, looked at reviews and they were all really good so figured I'd give it a try. The reviews were right! The two guys working were really friendly and patient with a first time visitor here as there's a lot of toppings and I had to make sure I built the best poke bowl possible. All of the food was super fresh and delicious, I got the spicy tuna and highly recommend. A lot of options and endless possibilities for building your own bowl. A little pricey, but seems poke usually is so I won't knock them for that. Try it out!

My husband knows I love poke so while in town, he found this place and my goodness, it was the best poke bowl I have had in years! The ingredients were fresh and the chunks of tuna and salmon were the perfect size and oh so flavorful (the spice tuna was actually marinated instead of just slathered with spicy mayo!). We used to have a similar place here in our hometown, but they closed a few years ago. If you're looking for a place for another location, please consider VA Beach! THANK YOU for a fabulous meal!

Love that they have an easy to use online platform to order your food. I had a custom bowl made with double portions of protein. The bowl itself had generous portions and overall had a great quality to them. Everything was fresh and tasted GREAT! They have also have a great way of enforcing social distancing with the use of tables and they do not allow people to dine in at this time. They are also willing to deliver if you have a min order of 10 bowls. You just have to call a day before to place your order. Lastly, the staff was super amazing and friendly. My bowl was ready for pickup the moment I walked in. And they informed me why they don't use a delivery service is because they often handle a lot of raw fish and they want to ensure no one get sick if the fish is left out for to long.

The portion size for the cost is pretty tough to beat for something that actually has good ingredients, they really load you up. I know that was the premade Sysco seaweed salad on top because I can spot that a mile off, but that shit is delicious so who cares. I got the spicy tuna bowl and despite having partaken in adult activities was unable to finish it, but it was quite good. They'll get my money again.

I am all aboard the Poke trend and I am super excited to see the various poke places that are opening in Charleston. This weekend I decided to try Emoji poke in West Ashley. The restaurant is inside of a strip mall and therefore parking is easy and plentiful. The venue is all new, modern and really appealing. The various menu options are exciting and you can also build your own bowl. I went for the Tuna bowl and I asked for a mix of the brown/ quinoa and the black grain rice. I must admit that the mix was weird and it made my bowl feel extra starchy, will probably not make that mistake again because it ended up being a bit too dry as the sauce only stayed on the top. The rest of the ingredients are "all you want" except for a couple items that charge extra and that made the experience extra fun. The owners were there and were really talkative and friendly which makes the experience really personable. One weird thing was that they do not offer cups for tap water and you have to either buy a bottled drink or be parched.

So I came in when they were about to close. I didn't know that they were closing. But they said they were. But they told me that I can order. I asked, "Are you sure?" They said yes. But when I ordered, they said that I can't eat there. And I had to bring it home. Okay? Why didn't they tell me first? When I left, I realized that their salmon bowl was $12.95, but I was charged $17.15. With taxes (9%), it should be $14.12. So where is this additional $3.03 coming from? Most others places are $12.50 to $13 plus tax. Don't think I will be coming back. And I do want my $3.03 back. It's not the money. It's the principle.

Good poke place! Variety of options to choose from and they also have purple rice ! Food was tasty and I love the Siracha Mayo as an addition. Would return again for a different variation . They have lots of pre made bowls . Social distance is enforced with space between glass ordering and customer.

I am so glad I didn't have to drive across town to get poke. This was yummy and flavorful. I had chicken with crab sticks. A very nice staff as well.

Okay, I love that I can buy an extra scoop of fish here--it's weird how that's not standard because I want that. Love this spot, would 100% stop by next time I'm in the area.

We wanted something fast casual for lunch, so this seemed like the perfect time to try Emoji Poké. This is the perfect takeout meal, so you can be in and out in less than 5-10 minutes. One downside for some may be the refreshments situation. Free water is not offered, as they only have drinks for sale. This is a great addition to the West Ashley area! Clean space, friendly service, decent portions, and good poké! This is a place we intend to frequent.

Wish I could give this place 10 stars!!! Every time I order, everything is PERFECT!! Food is always fresh and delicious, always ready exactly on time! Staff is nice and knowledgeable!! Highly highly recommend!!! Definitely worth it!!

So bomb. I and my co-workers at Hendrick Honda eat there multiple times a week. Our angry shuttle driver comes and gets it. All the flavors, and their reliability on getting tHe orders right and on time is just the appetizer, the main course is the terrific food. Generous portions, and the fresh taste are their game. I've literally eaten there 10 times and it was awesome every time. Get the double scoop... you will be sad you didn't get more!!!!

Why does this place have to be a ten minute walk from me? It's so amazing. Don't be a slow poke and get there ASAP. You can even order online and it will be ready to go. I have decided that I will eat here once a week until I die. My salmon bowl was so fresh and tasty. The bowls are all inventive and fun, but you fake create your own bowl, too.

I adore poké!!!! So glad there's more poké places popping up in Charleston. The bowls are nice and filling so you'll get the most out of a meal here. I went with a build-your-own bowl: half and half on the bamboo and forbidden rice, edamame, masago, seaweed, sesame seeds, ginger, and tuna with a drizzle of the yum yum sauce and original poké sauce. There's a unique drink selection so tried the peach soda and unsweetened green tea. The inside is nice and spacious plus the wall art is quite cute. (**) They have a rewards program too! I can't wait to return!!

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill since they opened--been going here since they opened. The quality of ingredients is still good, but they have gotten real stingy with their portions. As I was calling out ingredients it was pretty pathetic how little of each they added. Their bowls arent even that big and when the bowl is finished even with both salmon and tuna the ingredients dont even touch the lid. I added three sauces yet it was all really dry. For $19 and all those ingredients for it to only fill up 2/3 of a small bowl is a rip off. People who say their portions are great obviously havent been to all the other poke places in the area. If you want great portions, I suggest checking out Sweet Bowl downtown. Probably wont be going to Emoji anymore despite it being near my house.

Updated Review 8*18*19 I work next door to this place so I was ecstatic to have a new restaurant in the plaza. As you can see from the first review I was not pleased. I gave them a second chance and I'm glad it did. They had plenty of fresh ingredients to choose from if you didn't want to choose from the pre-made bowls listed. I got the "Do Not Care" bowl with added shrimp and spicy tuna. They had more staff this time and I was served in a timely fashion. There was this weird lingering smell inside I couldn't quite place. All in all I'm glad to have them in our plaza. They need way more staff than they have now! I walked in and the line was to the door and with only 1 person behind the counter. The one person I saw seemed completely oblivious to the line and was moving painfully slow. After waiting in line for a while with no movement I called it a bust and left. They should of waited a little longer to open until they got a better staff. I'll give them a few weeks before I go back and see if it's any better

Fresh poke with some new twists. I've been to a few poke spots in Hawaii, California, and here in South Carolina and I can say this one is up there with the best for quality, options, and price. They mix it up with the bases available with "forbidden rice" and brown rice mixed with quinoa along with the standards you'd expect. But with these come a ton of veggies to choose from, I was pretty surprised they didn't come with a surcharge. The protein options are the usual with spicy versions of your favorite fish and a second scoop for an extra 2$. I went with a mix of my favorite stuff trying out the forbidden rice with spicy tuna, edamame, masago, crab stick, and two sauces. Awesome flavor. Gonna be a staple in my post workout foods from now on.

Very yummy poke bowls, they give you a very generous amount of rice and they have fresh fish and veggies. Workers are nice and bowl are delicious!

I recently ordered online which was a total breeze. The bowl and all ingredients were fresh. I made my own bowl which was easy to customize online. Pickup was a breeze. The store is clean and still has distancing protocols in place which I appreciate. Will definitely order again soon.

When I moved to Charleston, I was disappointed by the Poké options. There was either not enough variety in toppings, the portions were too small or you could only pick a certain number of toppings. Emoji is the best poké in Charleston in my opinion. They have a large variety of toppings, including some that are unique. Definitely try the kimchi and Japanese pickled cucumber! Their sauces are delicious and the portion size is more than sizable for the price. This could easily be two meals if you can control yourself (I can't). They don't even charge extra for seaweed salad! I can't speak for the quality of the meat options as I don't eat meat, but I have heard good things about the spicy salmon and spicy tuna. All around YUM.

My first time here! I'm a huge Poke girl! I love anything Poké. I found this place on google and had to give it a try! I chose the Build your own Poké Bowl: Spring Mix, Brown Rice, Edamame, carrots, cucumber, onions, green onions, sesame seeds, tempura puffs, salmon and spicy mayo. It was delicious! The right amount of food and spice in the spicy mayo. The employees were super friendly and helpful! The restaurant was clean and they took awesome precautions during Covid.

Couldn't wait for this spot to open in WA -- we were due for a good poke place. I prefer to build my own bowl with a lettuce/forbidden rice mix as the base. Toppings are standard, and they have a variety of sauces. Staff is friendly and the food is fresh and tasty!!

Amazing food with amazing customer service! The decor is adorable, and the people were super nice. Covid safety precautions were top notch. I'm so happy that I'm literally typing on my phone between bites. Reasonable prices for the size of the dishes too!

Yum and more yum. Make your own poke bowl using the freshest ingredients and tastiest sauces and toppings. I love that I can use fresh salad greens instead of rice and get masago. The owners are so kind and great help if you're in need of help deciding. The only thing missing on a cold day like today was hot tea! (But they had cold drinks).

We're really happy with this place. So glad to have it in West Ashley! Have ordered take away 4 times now and it's been consistently delicious! Fairly priced too. Start with one of their signature bowls then move on to making your own. I like the Japanese dressing and the pickled cucumber.

My daughter had the LOL salmon bowl and I customized a tuna bowl. Our food was fresh and incredibly tasty. The mango in the bowl was legit the best mango I've ever had and the tuna was superb. The staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

I love this place so much! First off, the food is DELICIOUS. Always fresh, great variety and value, and a wonderful healthy option for a fast meal. Second, the staff here is SO NICE. I'm always greeted warmly, online orders are prepared perfectly every time, and each visit is just a delight. What a great addition to West Ashley. Get here and try it if you haven't!

I had the OMG tuna bowl and it wasn't anything special. I actually didn't eat the tuna because it did not taste fresh. So I paid $15 for a bowl of rice, avocado, scallions, jalapenos, and sauce. I don't think I'll be back.

We had dinner here recently and were very surprised how good it was. There are several options for protein and each comes with a slightly spicy version or plain. There are many options for toppings and they were all generously applied, very fresh and delicious. They also have many options for sauces catering to every taste. In the end we each ended up with a heaping bowl of very tasty healthy food. The restaurant and bathrooms were immaculately kept. Friendly staff who were very engaging. We will definitely be repeat customers.

I never make reviews. But for Emoji Poke, I just had to! This was literally the best poke bowl I have ever had in my life! Great flavor, fresh ingredients, amazing choices and wonderful portion size. It's the real deal people! And trust me, I know. I'm pretty much a poke bowl snob. I've lived all over the US/world eating thousands of them. So go here, will not be dissapointed!

This is my go-to place for poké! I have never had a bad experience. It is super easy to order online, and your bowl will be waiting for you just inside the door by the time you get there. They have an amazing array of rice, proteins, and toppings, and they definitely don't skimp! Don't hesitate to give it a try!!!

Not a bad little spot. I prefer Poke Bros to this mainly because of portion size (Poke Bros is larger), price point (Emoji is more expensive), and the fact that Poke Bros has more gluten free options in terms of sauces and marinades.

I had a great experience at Emoji Poke. I was excited when they opened as I love a good poke bowl. They have all your basics with salmon, shrimp and tuna. I think they have chicken too for those who don't like sushi. I ended up with spicy tuna and all the veggies. They also have a few different options for rice. I did half spring mix and half sushi rice. They sauces were pretty good. Have them mix you up something and add some spice! I can't wait until I go back.

This was my first time eating here and eating a poke bowl and it did not disappoint. The bowl was piled so high with fresh, delicious vegetables. I went two days in a row because it tasted so great! Try this place first to experience Poke!!
