Emo's Austin

Overall a good venue to see concerts and events. Very spacious and it's an open plan. They have an outdoor patio area as well. Downsides are the bathrooms are kind of rough, and the AC is only on a decent level. By the time the headliner is on, it's kind of hot and musty in there. Please excuse my poverty phone's sound quality in the video, it was more of a video to show the effects and layout, and the sound is far better in person.

Great venue to see live acts. The space is set up so everyone can see the stage. Fantastic sound. Good AC blowing on the crowd during the show. Bars serve people quickly, crowd is cool and the bathrooms are well maintained. The only issue is the limited parking which is easily solved with ride share services.

First time actually making it to Emo's. It is a little bit out of the way, but that helps with street parking up the hill (free parking!), easy to see the venue from the main road. Nice, open venue with good sight lines from nearly anywhere and the sound was pretty damn good, too. Sets were timely and the staff was easy going. Luckily, I do but drink because prices seemed crazy, but that is everywhere now, I think.

I've been to Emo's twice and had a bad experience both times. The first time I had a boot put on my car and had to pay $100 to get it taken off. This second time I went with my daughter and had to pay $50 parking for 5 hours, the most I've ever had to pay for parking. I had just purchased a drink, and before the concert even started I was approached by a staff member in regards to me letting my daughter take a drink. Yes, she is a minor, but under the assumption that Texas law does allow minors to drink if they are with their parent, I didn't think it would be an issue. Instead of telling me it was against their policies and letting us enjoy the show, they made me throw out my full drink I just paid $30 for, and threatened to have the police escort us out even though I was just calmly asking why I was being kicked out. (Also my first time ever being kicked out of somewhere.) So no concert, and I wasted money on tix, parking, and a drink. I drove from out of town for these events, but will never go again. It's a great place if you want to waste your money and be treated like a criminal. They are just too greedy and uncaring.

We have seen a few shows here. Jinjer and Beartooth most recently. Free parking,but get there early for it. Once inside, you will be pleased with the great sound and cool art provided by this small venue. We look forward to seeing more bands here.

One of my favorite venues in Austin! Great wide open indoor space. The staff is always super nice. The back of the room is usually where merch is and it's not too crowded. The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars is I've had 1 or 2 experiences where the band was just too loud for the size of the venue and it made me miserable.

I honestly love Emos because it's a smaller venue, it feels more intimate. I've been here many times and have enjoyed my time each time. It's a venue so yes drinks are going to be inflated, there are going to be LONG lines for the rest room, and there are a lot of people. I do appreciate the outdoor area when you need to catch a breath. The back of the venue is usually more spacious, I always gravitate towards this area when I need a break from the crowd. For a small venue they have two bars on opposite ends with a lot of bartenders. I've never waited a long time to be served. A HUGE plus, they give out free water. Every venue should do this...thank you Emos for keeping us hydrated!!! Cons: parking sucks I reccomend Uber or Lyft if you can.

Definitely one of my favorite venues in Austin. It gives such a up close and personal feel. However, there is basically no parking so I definitely recommend to Uber. There are a few bars so there's not too much of a wait for drinks. The drinks are pricy but they give you the giant beer cans. The merch lines can get pretty long. We went here for a concert recently and it was so hot, that's the reason for the 3 stars With everyone all pressed together and no breeze at all, and the summer heat outside - it was a little rough. Everyone was sweating lol. But I'll still be back!

(A solid 3.5 star experience) This location of Emo's is a no frills, no wow moments. It's large enough to host a decent size of an audience. It's a large box concept with plenty of standing room. Bathrooms are pretty large and can accommodate a few folks at a time. The outdoor patio space was quiet on the night I went but it wasn't bad. I will say thought everyone gets complimentary sub-shows with the people who get kicked out. Pretty entertaining to say none the less. A few things that were a bit annoying included the parking lot situation (I just recommend doing street parking), the security line is pretty chaotic, and the flow of process was a bit confusing to say the least. Overall- just keep an open mind and focus on the show itself.

Saw Y'all Out Boy here during their 5yr anniversary in July 2023. It was a sold out show so it was packed and it was another 100+ degree weather day. Not the most comfortable situation but what a fun show! Came out here with a group of friends and we were all drenched in sweat, probably some alcohol, too, since a lot of people were raging! I've also come to realize how small Austin is when you've been involved in enough outdoor sports leagues. Ran into so many familiar faces here, which made the experience so much more fun! They have a pretty decent selection of drinks, snacks, and there's a hotdog vendor in the back if you're hungry.

Loved the small venue. Went to see Thievery Corporation there. Love the outside patio area. Bathrooms are easily accessible. Went to get a drink, guy bartender wasn't the friendliest but got drinks fast. Would go back to this venue.

Emo is exactly what it is which is a Venue and to me it's amazing. I always have a good time when I go to Emo's. The drinks are pricy so I recommend to pregame before hand. Also to Uber or Lyft here because parking isn't the best.

The parking here is terrible; the lot is old and the lines are faded so people park atrociously. This part of town is very unsafe so if you drive, be very careful where you park. The best part of this venue is that they book indie artists, I just wish they were in a better location and maintained their lot.

My second music venue I've been to on my visits to Austin. This was for the Elderbrook concert. Large open venue, I liked not feeling crammed together. Staff was well organized, drinks were reasonably priced. I thought sound system and acoustics were great. I'd love to see another concert there.

Awesome venue!! This live music venue has some incredible performers that visit. The venue was clean and had multiple restroom facilities as well as bar serving. As for the common complaints that parking is difficult, I suggest arriving early since there will always be an expected line of people waiting at the door.

Came to see Kenny Hoopla! The venue changed due to weather and I really enjoyed the space! Nice outside seating and seats to the side of the stage. It was perfect for an aging emo adult!!

Not the best area. Parking is basically non existent, which is surprising for a place that can called 1500 people. I feel bad for nearby businesses. Line to get in was wrapped around the strip center. It was pretty efficient, just very long. The night we went there was no a/c on. Or very little. I don't care that it's 60 outside, you need air turned on with that many people inside the building. I ended up walking on their back porch to cool down. Someone said the staff was passing out water; so they knew it was warm/hot and still didn't turn the air on. The sound was interesting. If you were past the stage light and sound board you were within the speakers and could hear fine. If you were behind that, there were no speakers. You can hear but it's very muffled and hard to hear the people on stage when they talk. There was a ton of staff constantly circling around which was nice. They will kick you out for breaking the rules. They don't play. It's fun to watch. Lol! We only came here like everyone else; to see a band, but otherwise I'd suggest going somewhere else if you are just wanting to chill out. The area and parking is very sketch.

I had an awesome time here seeing St. Lucia. It's very spacious and it wasn't cramped at all. The temperature inside was comfortable, but it is October! The staff was really friendly during check in, which can be rare for concert venues. The bathrooms were also super clean. Great sound in the venue. I considered driving here but ultimately decided against it. On their website, they do warn about not parking at other businesses even though they may be closed. I didn't risk it. The ride share pickup was easy to find. This was an awesome experience and I'd for sure come back here!

It's a decent Venue, parking sucks but there is street parking. Booze is stupid expensive like a lot of venues, I got a love street tall boy and a shot of jammie and it was like 35$. Sound is decent and they have an outside area if you need to get out for a min. It's not the old Emo's and never will be but it's fine.

I've been to Emo's twice now, once for an R&B concert and recently for this 2000s themed party. Emos had a great energy, the security was kind to us. MAJOR PLUS IS PARKING!!! We didn't buy drinks there after hearing it was pricey, but didn't stop us from having a great time. Going to any event in Austin is hard, but Emo's is one of my favorite venues by far

I had such a good time at this vendor and the sound quality was amazing for PJ Morton! Can't wait to see more of my favorites.

Parking is horrible!! Plan on getting ripped off from the boot parking if you don't get lucky and actually find a spot that is appropriately labeled to park at. Signs for where to park are miss leading. Then park then have a good time them to come out to a boot, rude people who handle the scam, and even the police where called as it's a giant cluster F. Gone down hill!!! I've been going to this area since the 80s and never has it gotten this bad for a venue to have such a horrible vibe to it. Used to be fun to go to. NOW I'll not go back unless it's a once in a lifetime band, and most bands playing here will move on to bigger a Dan better things than this bad side of venue events. Even come and take it is a better situation. There parking probably is just as bad now too. Sad when all I remember about seeing a bad ass show is the parking. I would not be surprised if the Emo's people are in on it too.

I attended my first show here and wasn't sure what to expect. There is free parking but come early to secure it. The lot is relatively small. The proximity to restaurants makes it easy to swing through for takeout and enjoy in your car ahead of time allowing you to get early parking and dinner in at the same time. I went to a show during December. I didn't realize how cold it would be inside. If you're easily chilled like me, bring a jacket. Drinks are not any more overpriced than other venues I've been to. Two sets of restrooms is nice, especially for ladies rooms which are notorious for long lines. Even as a short person, I was able to see the performers pretty well. I think the stage might be a little shorter than some other venues, making it easier to see. There was standing room only at the show I went to. I saw a small set of risers toward the entrance so if you need a seat, consider coming earlier to get a spot there. I didn't notice any food for sale inside but the area boasts plenty of places to eat before or after.

I did not enjoy the show or experience because it was overwhelmingly crowded, hot, and dangerous. Despite spending a lot more money on vip, waiting over an hour to enter first, and entering waiting near the front of the stage I was almost immediately surrounded by hundreds of people in this very small space. I became ill after waiting almost another 3 hours for the main performer. I could not breathe, I was getting pushed from all sides, sweating and began to panic when all the air left from behind me. There are no seats or places to rest and no in and out. I had to stand at the outskirts of the crowd and had the worst obstructed view. At least set the stage up for all sides to see if you are going to sell and and pack as many people as possible inside. They also sold food which gave me food poisoning. The water at the bar was free at least. I would not return for another concert and don't recommend.

I saw Jidenna in concert on 11/10/2019 and it was my 1st time at this venue. I give it a good 3 1/2 stars venue wise. Since sharing is caring here are a few of my "FYI's".. -parking: we were able to get a parking spot in the same lot at the venue so we had no issues with parking BUT we did attend an event at this venue on a Sunday so I'm not sure if that is why we were lucky w/ finding a parking spot. -drink prices were kinda high so do expect to shell out some moolah if you plan to get tipsy. ;) -The inside of the venue is very open but it is standing room only & this can be an issue for us short folks! I had to wiggle my way to the front so that I could see because I swear on the night I was there only the tall people came out!! -They do have a metal detector you have to go through so please leave your illegal weapons at home folks! -Helpful tip: Even though this is an indoor venue with so many bodies huddled together be prepared to get HOT! My girl Tisha was super smart and brought her personal paper fan to help her stay cool. You should have seen the other concert folks eyeing her fan!! ;)) Hope this info helps.. -Rebecca out

Didn't even get to see Sullivan King perform because there was ZERO parking. On top of that, a lot of people that were trying to find any sort of parking close to the venue had a parking boot on their car. Maybe find a way to get event parking instead of making people take a risk.

The didn't have the air conditioner on very much, after waiting outside for over hour in 100 degree weather no shade, not offering to sell water then when they finally opened the doors they stopped processing people for what ever reason we weren't given. Some guy in front of us was obliviously way too drunk get running into people because he was trying to "dance". Stepped on my foot, this guy was complained on 10 times at least, 3 times by us alone and others around us. All they did was tell him to settled down. We had a really great spot next to the stage so why in hell should I move. The only reason I rated this place a 3 because of the band. Very pricing on the drinks. But you did get water for free, not that it would help with hardly any air conditioning.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Emo's Austin has really lost touch with people and the fans that attend the shows that keep them in business. I've been going to shows at Emo's before it was even located on Riverside. Just alone in the last three months I have been to three shows here, buying two tickets at a time and spending hundreds in bar sales over the years. I finally decide to be selfish and purchase a solo meet and greet ticket for an artist that I love and have seen before. More importantly, though I was more excited to see the opener, so for months I have been checking my email daily waiting to see when the meet and greet was, because I didn't want to miss the opener. I contacted Emo's multiple times through Twitter (now deleted), Instagram and their Contact Us form on their website, since they do not have a phone number available to call them. Every bit of information lead me to an 800 number that was not accepting calls at this time. I only wanted to know what time the meet and greet was and nobody was available to help me. Someone finally replied to an Instagram message and said, "check your email" as if I hadn't been checking my email every day from the day I bought the ticket (which was the first day they went on sale). I had received one email from Emo's saying doors open at 7 and that was it. I arrived at 7 and the girl at will call told me that I had missed the meet and greet. She moved me down the line to talk to someone else and that person said "Talk to the people at the merch table, they handle the meet and greets". There was one teenager working the merch booth that I approached. Unfortunately for Pink Sweat$, she was very rude and before I could explain what had happened, she interrupted me and said, "For one or two?" and then handed me a poster and a VIP badge. She said, "I just work the merch booth." Whether Pink Sweat$ team dropped the ball on the meet and greet email is beside the point. Emo's has made it nearly impossible to offer any sort of customer service available to the people who've been supporting them for over a decade. Nobody offered a refund, a discount, a coupon, an actual apology! They stood there matter of factly as if it was my fault. I could have bought 3 tickets for the cost of the one ticket I bought, brought 2 friends, and would have spent A LOT more money on bar sales for the three of us as opposed to just me. Instead I paid triple the cost of a GA ticket for the same (if not worse) experience that I had. At least then, I wouldn't have spent an hour of the night crying in their back patio. This is not my first time at a show or dealing with music venues. I've worked concerts, festivals and events as a coordinator, customer service rep, and security before, and expect more from a seasoned venue such as Emo's. Shout out to W3 Security team for being the only professionals at the show last night. Super disappointed and happy that Austin is opening up new venues that hopefully have a little more tact.

Great sound/view from anywhere in the venue. The venue is very spacious, which I loved. Very easy to take your own space if necessary, but still get good views. The bathrooms were also really nice! Unfortunately the AC just doesn't seem to ventilate properly. It was so so so hot. Two people passed out. I would 100% recommended bringing a hand held fan/mister to avoid getting sick. Another problem was that they don't reach back out about disability accommodations, which was a bummer. Also, if you want to find decent parking, arrive as early as you can! Parking is super limited. The ticket check in was well organized, though. Drinks were good too! Loved hiatus kaiyote!! :)

If I could put no stars I would - terrible establishment. Nowhere in emails about an upcoming event or even in the ticket email did it mention booting and towing cars. They barely have parking yet expect people to come for shows here. They boot everyone's car in the parking lots surrounding and charge $100 right there to remove the boots. They think by putting a disclaimer in their Instagram captions which mind you NO ONE looks at is enough. Shame on you for targeting and stealing money from people. Leaves a bad taste after watching a concert! Just pray your artist doesn't come here!

I bought Doja Cat tickets back in 2020 for a concert in Spring. This was "postponed" because of COVID, but now it's obviously cancelled. Not only have other venues announced a cancellation in order to issue refunds, but Doja herself has announced a completely new tour for her new album. Their website still says "POSTPONED" but when you got to share the event it says "CANCELLED". Why not update the website EMOS?? Could it be that when you do you would have to refund everyone?? When you try and get help they do not respond to the google forms (I've tried for a month now) and front gate tickets don't have help over the phone, when I tried to email all they told me was to refer to emos...who is not answering. I've lived in Atx my entire life, and used to like emos for being local and treating their patrons nicely. Turns out it's just a money game for them too. I'm so disappointed because if I couldn't count of the scalpers like StubHub to do the right thing I thought emos would. I was wrong.

Emo's is great for the concerts I go to see (SCARYPOOLPARTY aka Alejandro Aranda) the inside is nice and the staff inside seems know what they're doing. My only issue was standing in line for hours and the security made us form into 2 long lines, essentially having the group of people in the middle of the original line move right up to the people who waited for hours to be first in another line. They didn't understand how that was messed up. But overall, 4/5 stars since they only did that one time

I've been to several shows here and they've all been great; the latest being the NYE bash with Ghostland Observatory, great night!! Multiple reviews site bad parking, I will say we always Uber, but there is plenty of signage indicating where you can or cannot park. I like that they require proof of vaccination and do a thorough security check. Three bars and two set of restrooms make for short waits in line. Drinks are pricey, but that's expected. The venue isn't very big, so anywhere you stand is a good spot.

I saw Immortal Technique here when I was a shrimp and he was like "THIS HERE IS THE LAST MF WHO'S GETTIN A PICTURE WITH ME" and I was like damn, my fault Technique. Pretty sick. 10/10 Edit: Lil B also so 17/17

Taking off one star because the management REALLY needs to warn people about parking in their emails, in entry signage, and via personnel. If you park across the street or in any number of hotspots nearby, you'll 100% get booted and eat a $100 ticket. Really despicable. There's a map of good parking on their website but you have to dig for it. Enjoyed the Psychedelic Furs show last night -- great sound, comfortable climate, good security, friendly service, AND COVID safety checks. Would prefer if masks were mandatory (especially when people started to sing along) but I can live with it.

Alan Walker and K-391 gig Place was perfect bcs there are several bars and even that the show was sold out and that being said the place was full, it wasn't packed. We got there about 30 min before doors opened. There was plenty of parking. They were checking lines for ID's and tickets so entrance was fast and smooth. Bathrooms were clean very good venue.

This is not your mom's Emo's. That Emo's was a drafty, beer and spit-spattered club off 6th Street where alt-rock/punk bands of the 80s and 90s drew fans wearing mohawks, studs and chains, and stage diving and mosh pits were a nightly occurrence. You just didn't know your mom was that cool. This Emo's has risen from the ashes of The Back Room, sharing the same address as the once-storied rock and roll club, along with the painted black walls and ceiling (though it's much higher), and a more varied roster of modern bands, from EDM to tamer alt-rock acts. They work with the local radio stations to co-host shows, which is very cool. I saw Local Natives there this week as part of the 101X Indie Christmas show. Even though it's a big room, the show had an intimate feel because the stage is raised and the room isn't as big as Moody or Cedar Park Center, for instance. It's much nicer and a little larger than the Austin Music Hall. Sound and lighting are fit for a touring act, not an afterthought. Upcoming shows include NYE with Ghostland Observatory, Mutemath, a KUTX show with Margo Price, and a freaking Chippendale's show. No pushing, ladies. Note that there is no seating. You will stand for the whole show, so wear comfortable shoes. They don't serve anything in glass, so beer comes in a can and mixed drinks come in a plastic cup. The crowd's behavior will depend on who the performers draw. Local Natives fans, mostly 20 to 30-somethings with real jobs, were polite and respectful and stood quietly watching and singing along; EDM crowds will be younger, wilder, and doing anything but standing still. It's an all-ages venue, and minors are marked and tagged accordingly. Security is careful, so you'll likely get a pat-down and purse check out front. There are various lines for that, for ticket scanning, and for will-call. Get there early for dealing with all of that. Check the email they send before each show or their website for free parking in the area. They say it changes for each show. Be careful not to park in someones forbidden lot, or you will be towed. Thanks for hanging around Austin, Emo's. I guess you could say we grew up together.

TERRIBLE PARKING!!! There only parking available is the few spots surrounding the venue. We drove around trying to find parking for a good while. We parked nearby in a parking lot where the lot was empty and all The surrounding businesses were closed. After the show we find a boot strapped to our car with a $100 fee to get it off. We asked the towing company about it and they said Emos turned down deals to help out with parking nearby, thus getting a lot of the attendees (30+cars) stuck in our same situation. Hope no bands I intend to see play again at this awful venue.

My boyfriend and I saw Angels and Airwaves here and it was AMAZING. This venue is great in my opinion (granted this is the only show we've seen here...so far). It's not too small. They have 3 bars I believe and AC (we happened to be towards the back right under an AC vent which was even more amazing lol). The band sounded great! Even one of the opening bands sounded really good. The lighting was awesome for Angels' show and this was all around a fun atmosphere. I would gladly come back to this venue if any one of our favorite bands ever plays here.

Emo's is a quality venue. Good sound, decently priced drinks, and bathrooms on both ends. You now have to go through a metal detector and have your bags checked. Hey, safety first! Very small lot so plan to park on the street. Great Mexican restaurant next door to grab a bit before the show.

Went for the BLXST concert on August 23rd. Paid for VIP meet & greet only to arrive there at the said time of 4:30PM and be standing outside in the blazing Texas sun for a hour. Everybody was outside sweating their hair, make-up, and clothes out when we paid for early access. Like what was the point of paying for a VIP package if we were going to be standing in the hot ass sun when we arrived at the given time??? Needless to say, folks starting walking back to their cars to cool down in the A/C and didn't even get to meet BLXST and Buddy. Staff didn't give us a set time of when we would be let into the venue to meet the celebs or nothing; just told us we can go back to our cars to drop our VIP merch off and cool down a bit because we weren't going in right away. A mess.

Decent amount of parking when they don't block of huge sections. The parking lot is shared by a few other businesses. Basic external security. Metal detectors and bag searches. They kept the lines moving pretty well. Promo chicks outside aren't overly pushy. The ticket scanning took ridiculously longer than it should have. Not sure how much was the person being scanned and how much was the scanner machine. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean. The bars have a good selection. The bartenders are pretty quick so the lines are horrendous. Sound quality is decent. The bass for the show we saw was so crazy strong my jeans and nostrils were vibrating... Yes, it was a very weird feeling.

The last time I went to Emo's it was at 6th & Red River. Oh how I miss that great venue. I've lived in Austin 4 months now and finally got to see a show at the new Emo's. Putting aside my animosity that it's no longer this awesome venue in Downtown, the "new" Emo's isn't bad. It's a totally generic box inside, but they did try to put some artwork towards the front near the stage to set it apart. Sound was decent enough, and I had a $7 16 ounce beer which isn't awful. I would have just put them at a 3* rating but I found parking in their lot on a Friday night at a sold out show, so that was a nice surprise. I figured I'd have to find street parking and brave walking a few blocks!

Great stage and sound was 8/10. Drinks were very overpriced, 12$ for miller lite and 19$ for a crown and coke. Worse than a sporting event. Line to get in took a very long time and missed half the first act despite getting there at 7:30 when the doors opened.

First and last time I'll ever go to an Emo's event. I attended the Matt & Kim concert tonight and had the unpleasant experience of being booted because we parked in the OPEN LOT across the street when we couldn't find open parking at the venue. Emo's lack of parking and forewarning about the issue is unacceptable. A predatory company called Capital Towing and Booting will tow or boot your car right before the show is over and then start making a cash grab. The staff of CT&B said the lot is monitored 24/7 yet we didn't get a boot until 30 mins before the show ended. The wonderful show was completely ruined by the unexpected $100 fee to remove the boot. This must happen all the time because they had several employees out there collecting money and removing boots. Signage was only posted at the entrances but nothing around the actual lot/businesses.

I am NEVER going to Emo's ever again. I grew up in Austin and have been going to shows at Emo's for over 18 years, old and new location. As someone else mentioned in their post, there is now an extensive booting and towing operation taking place in the parking lot across the street. They will boot your car and charge $100 to get the boot off or have your car towed. Emo's has a map of parking options on their website - it says not to park in this lot on the weekend but does not indicate that you can't park in the lot during Tues-Thurs. The booting and towing operation is happening weekdays and weekends. It's impossible to call Emo's directly and complain, their number goes to C3 concerts. DO NOT GO HERE. The shows are overpriced and they don't respect their customers. It's honestly beyond me how they could treat people like this.

We saw BucketHead during a fantastic show that coincided with ACLs first Friday. There is plenty of parking either at the venue or in the lots around it. Security is pretty tight, so right when the doors open there is usually a long line, but once it starts moving it goes pretty fast, they know how to move people through. Once inside, it's.a big open central room, virtually all standing room only, it has several bars scattered around the periphery. One pleasant surprise was that the bathrooms were clean both at the start of the concert and at the end (another thing they do well). The acoustics are fair - it's a warehouse basically, not Radio City Music hall, but BucketHead made it all worthwhile! I would be VERY happy to see several more shows here!

I came here last night for a MMA fight event. I had pre purchased my tickets online prior to the event. Did that matter? Nope. I still had to wait in line. While in line they had security search. It was quick and painless but odd going into a fight. We waited in line for about 20 minutes before we got to the ticket area. I gave my name and she gave me two wrist bands and proceeded inside. It was honestly a weird venue for an MMA fight but it worked. The octagon was near the stage area. The had two bar locations on either side of the room. The restrooms were clean and decent. The event also had booths to check out that help support the event. I learned of a veterans Brazilian Jiu Jitsu organization that offers free class to vets. One thing I will note is I had two drinks while here. The one bartender was a very unpleasant person who hated life. We (husband and I ) had both purchased a beer. Seriously not hard and didn't make your life horrible by asking to open a can and pour into a plastic cup. Now, The second bartender did an awesome job in pouring a double shot of titos with Diet Coke. He was also a lot friendly and nicer to talk to. Such is life in the customer service industry I suppose.

I've worked here since 2018 meeting various artists and bands. It's my favorite venue in Austin and allows you to have a more intimate setting with your favorite band and artists. I love everyone I work with and everyone above me. We have a pretty dope crew and I actually look forward to going to work. I've never felt that way lol but I will always recommend my home to others bc I always have the time of my life here. Thanks dudes

The Eels concert tonight was a total flop do to your audio. The band made a joke of you. As they should Do you realize this is Austin? You can bet the band will never come back to your venue, and neither will we.

The door people are horrific. As if one didn't pay to attend the show? Such snobbery is an embarrassment to Austin

Amazing Band. Check. Liquor Check. 4 feet from Stage. Check. A/C. Check. Bouncers that kick obnoxious concert goers out. Check Check. Had just an awesome time here seeing the All American Rejects with my smoking hot arm candy of a boyfriend. Saw the stage perfect no matter how many crazies tried to elbow their way in front of me. Great sound, good a/c. Didn't sweat our balls off. There were three totally obnoxious guys who were drunk and pushing everyone (mostly women) and the bouncers took care of them after eyeing them for a while. Gotta respect that. Kudos Emo's!!

I love Emo's East! What a great indoor venue to see your shows. We saw "Slyvan Esso" and "Foals" here and the sound is amazing. The venue is spacious. The outdoor area is tiny and smoke filled. There are several bars around so you never have to wait very long to get a drink. Parking can be a bit hectic, but generally there is enough room on the surrounding streets to park. This venue will send you out a reminder before the event, to bring your tickets, where you can and can't park and other useful information. GO SEE A SHOW AT EMO'S!

Nice event. Saw alkaline trio. High ceilings and very open space. There are 2 bars , 1 on either side. The sound was good but Skiba was sick so it's hard to give a full opinion. Dan sounded great tho. Would def go back.

Was a big lover of Emos on 6th. Went all the time. Dealt with all the hot mess it lovingly was. Went to this location before it was Emos. It sucked badly then. Oh my goodness it hasn't changed. Terrible place to see bands. Its an embarrassment to the notion of ' Live music capital'. Which means nothing now. Really wish the owners cared even a little. I never go here to see bands. Learn that lessons a few times. Acoustics area absolutely terrible. Seeing the stage, unless you're 5'8" and over you'll have a hard time. Terrible layout. Hot as hell if there's a lot of people even in the back. Go outside to cool off and you'll wish you hadn't. Never been worth all the disappointment and frustration. I'm now wishing this goes the way of the Music Hall. Out and down.
