This place is so good! Go for the baked version they are so much better than the fried! The spicy beef is the best.

Google
Oh man, great empanadas. This place is located on the 3rd floor. First time here and well worth it. I tried the beef, bbq pork and chicken pineapple. All three were spectacular. I strongly recommend. 👍🏻

Google
Look it’s a bit expensive but tasting and trying out different foods it’s worth it at least once and for my wife to enjoy it it speaks for itself plus you have to have an idea and open mind for new foods

Nice upscale looking place and food is nice. Flavors and spices make the meal nice. Some places don’t fry empanadas and some do. Don’t serve food with so much oil. At least let it sit on paper towel to absorb the oil before serving. Churros were good. I’ve traveled to Mendoza several times for personal travel and many beautiful places in South America and other continents. Some cultures fry and don’t fry empanadas.

Had to push many buttons (custom tip, 0.00, next, etc) to not tip on a togo order. Well this restaurant is togo only anyway.

Google
Bought $15 worth of food but the taste was okayish! Later we realized that they fry halal and non-halal food together. Even the fries. So please be careful if you only eat halal food.

Tray Coles

Google
Cool for a quick bite during an outing at the Galleria. Pay at the kiosk. You must purchase more than one empanada so that’s an inconvenience for me. Otherwise great place with good food

Google
The fried empendas were pretty good and tasty but the portion sizes were way too small. The french fries were over-cooked and did not have enough body, so not my favorite. Overall, very pricey for the amount of food received and the fries were sub-par. 2.5 stars.

Yelp
Awesome empenadas, really well seasoned fillings, excellent pastry and sauces. Definitely worth checking out in Tysons mall and I'm sure the Lorton locations kills it as well.

Yelp
I was in the area and grabbed some seasoned fries and they were crispy, hot and fresh tasting. They have halal options and I need to come back to try other menu options.

Terri D.

Yelp
Didn't quite fill up at Andy's so decided to mosey over and try the empanadas. Wonderful crispy dough and packed yummy filling - but boy were they small! More app portions, which was perfect as we already had pizza. Otherwise would have been disappointed by the size.

Yelp
The empanadas are delicious. The crust is flaky. The service was good. The atmosphere is expected as it's in the mall.

Yelp
This place was just okay. My favorite empanada was the dessert one. It took a really long time to get my order. I'm glad it was being fried fresh for me but it took like 15 minutes for some reason. The empanadas were good but nothing amazing.

Yelp
Very friendly service! This truck was parked at the Kennedy Center for International Dance Day at The Reach. They had four types of empanadas and it was $9.81 for just two empanadas. I opted to share two pineapple chicken empanadas as it sounded unique. The empanadas came out in less than 5 minutes, the approximate time given, and were hot and crispy. The filling had chicken, peas, and carrots and a slight hint of pineapple. You don't really need the sauces, but the green sauce was citrusy and really accentuated the flavor of the pineapple chicken filling. The creamer sauce was also good but the green sauce was better suited for the pineapple chicken.

Yelp
Picked up some Empanadas De Mendoza yesterday and we dove into them today! They held up beautifully and were delicious reheated, I can only imagine what they would have been like fresh. I will absolutely be seeking this amazing food truck out so I can find out. We had Cheese, Traditional Beef, Spicy Beef and Honey BBQ Pork. They were all great but the Spicy Beef was my favorite (oh and yes they are Spicy ). Chimichurri and Cream Sauce were delicious! We also got Bourbon Apple Cranberry dessert empanada too which was also yummy! Her dough is so light and fluffy on all of her empanadas. Wait time wasn't bad and everything was cooked to order. Her truck was adorable and clean. If you get a chance to be where she is definitely grab some of her Empanadas!

Yelp
What a great spot to grab a bite! I was visiting the mall and stopped by here because of the good reviews. I chose to go with the 2 empanadas with a side salad. The empanadas are on the smaller side but they are packed with flavor. I enjoyed them both equally. The side salad was great. The vegetables were nice and crisp and I enjoyed the vinaigrette it came with. The ordering process was seamless. There's a kiosk on which you place your order and the employees get to work frying up the empanadas. It didn't take long at all for my order to be ready and the customer service was good. The sauces that the entrees come with are amazing. My favorite was the aioli. I'd drive back to the galleria just to eat here again!

Yelp
As someone who grew up in Argentina, I was so happy when I saw the name of this place. Finally an Argentine empanada!! But... Unfortunately their empanadas didn't bring me back to the memories of mates and Maradona (yes, I am old). It's just decent empanada that didn't stand out as Argentine o from Mendoza. Just your average empanada.

Yelp
Located in the upper levels of Tyson's Galleria! Fairly quiet and had plenty of seating and sunlight ! Service is really easy as they have a pretty set and simple menu. You order through the kiosk and the order came out within minutes! The Citrus Vinaigrette Salad was a bit too sour for my taste but loved the fresh greens and veggies! Def needed it for eating it with fried foods. I tried 3 different empanada options: the Pineapple chicken was yummy bc I love pineapples and the sweetness from the food went well with the chicken flavoring. The traditional beef is a total recommend! Absolutely juicy and bursting with flavor. I also tried the humita - which was filled with corn and cheese - loved it!! Sweet corn and cheesy cheese! Overall, would recommend 8/10 to try their empanadas! The sizes are pretty big and fair on pricing!

Justine T.

Yelp
Their empanadas are devine and I can't wait to come back for more! Each empanada was fried to perfection and had the perfect amount of crispiness. My favorite was the honey bbq pork - the empanada was packed with tender, succulent pulled pork in a sweet bbq sauce. I'm obsessed! The chimi fries were crispy and tasty, but the salad was pretty plain. I didn't enjoy the dessert empanada, bourbon apple, that much - the apple pieces had skins on them that made the texture too chewy. We also got alfajores but the cookies were too dry and chalky. Their service was just okay - it was kind of slow as it took awhile for our orders to come out after ordering on the kiosk. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend their exceptional empanadas!

Monique J.

Yelp
We did a pick up order. As for service, the food was ready on time and we had no issues with picking up. The order was neatly packaged, The empanadas were huge and super tasty! Very juicy and well seasoned. The had indoor and outdoor seating,

Yelp
Crispy gigantic empanadas and love to support this family owned business! One couple runs the food truck, while the sister-in-law with her husband run the Galleria location. So glad I skipped the swarming line for the empanada food truck at the Vienna food festival, and headed straight over to the Galleria at the Urbanspace food court to try out the empanadas! The 2 empanada with side is a great deal! The empanadas are quite large and filling. While I wish the Cheese Empanada would be more stuffed with cheese, the Spinach and Ricotta Empanada was more flavorful. The empanadas were a bit bland. There's a creamy corn Humita empanada that I'm curious to try - next time! Would love to see more vegetarian options on the menu like a hearty roasted veggie or mushroom with caramelized onions. The Chimi Fries were really well seasoned and the creamy garlic aioli sauce had a spicy kick! Excited to back for more empanadas!

Joshua P.

Yelp
Empanadas are fantastic. I ordered the spicy beef and honey bbq pork. Both very flavorful with a beautiful crispy texture. My only gripe is the size of the empanada and pricing (value). $15 for two empanadas and fries (no beverage and before tip). I know rent and labor is expensive in Tyson's but I would recommend lowering your prices to $3.75 for a single empanada and $15 for 3 empanadas fries and a drink. You'll see more volume over time and more recognition through word of mouth (organic growth).

Yelp
I love empanadas, I really do, but these empanadas were a (2.5 Star) mixed bag for me. We got 4 Empanadas: -Traditional Beef - It had egg and an olive in it. -Spicy Beef - Was def spicy, didn't see any egg thankfully (I actually enjoy egg but would like to be warned its in there) -Honey BBQ Pork - The BBQ meat was on the sweeter side. It wasn't bad, but just didn't feel right having bbq-style meat in an empanada. -Humita- I love food. I always finish my food, but this? No. It was mushy corn, onions, I saw something green, had a sweet taste, just no, sorry. I get that empanadas are generally made in advance and these were, and deep fried, but it just tasted all wrong (too much oily pastry and fillings were mushy). The ladies were nice, but seemed too busy doing other things. For the price we paid, it did not feel worth it, unfortunately.

Beth C.

Yelp
Lately I've noticed portions have changed. There has been a drop off in the amount of filling in my empanadas. I expect them to be filled, not half filled. More than happy to pay in order to not just taste dough.

Judy N.

Yelp
I had 6 empanadas for takeout and was able to try a variety of flavors - traditional, spicy beef, humita (sweet corn and basil), pineapple chicken, cheese, and honey bbq pork. Firstly, the spicy beef was actually spicy! I was somehow expecting something similar to the Jamaican beef patty from 7-Eleven (haha!) but it was much more spicy! I had the hiccups and runny nose while eating it. Sadly, I couldn't finish it. My toddler loved the cheese! The honey bbq pork and traditional were also very good. But my favorite was the humita. There's something so tasty about sweet corn and the basil was very light. Welcome to Urbanspace! So excited for all the existing and new vendors at this amazing food hall!

Yelp
The food truck was by our place so we decided to give them a try even though we were a bit hesitant at seeing only 3 empanadas being $16.95. However, when we tasted the empanadas they were delicious and worth the price. The empanadas clearly tasted far more fresh and flavorful than any other cheap empanadas from the many food trucks we have tried previously which tasted reheated. We tried the spicy beef, bbq pork, and pineapple chicken. Spicy beef was my favorite but the spiciness packs a punch. The sauces and fries were all very good as well. Dipped fries in the chimi sauce and empanadas in the other. Highly recommend stopping by if their food truck is ever in your neighborhood!

Tishona W.

Yelp
Best empanada food truck in town!! Hands down. The crispy, light dough. The honey BBQ pork, or three cheese, or..... I haven't tried them all but i don't think you can go wrong with any.

Patina C.

Yelp
Cute little place in the food court of Tyson's Galleria (urban space). I got the 3 empanadas with a side salad! The ordering process was quick with the virtual kiosk and easy to use. I loved the wide variety of options. I ended up going with spicy beef, spinach ricotta, and honey bbq pork. All three were great, but the honey bbq pork was my favorite! It tasted just like slow roasted pulled pork. These empanadas were crispy and heavily stuffed. I was full after two, but forced myself to eat the third. It's nice that they give you two free sauces. The citrus vinaigrette they use on their salad is homemade. It's a zesty light dressing which was a nice balance with the fried/baked empanadas. Will definitely be back again soon to grab some to go!

Yelp
Before I make this review, I was never the biggest Fan of empanadas until I discovered this place. I originally stopped by to get a slice of Andy's pizza but my spontaneous self decided to stop by and give this place a try. I ordered the 2 empanada combo I believe and got the two most popular ones (beef and spicy beef). Empanadas were fried to order, but FAIR WARNING wait for these to cool down cause ya girl burned her entire mouth taking a bite out of one of these. Spicy beef is actually spicy so another warning on that too, but wow the pastry was so flaky, buttery, & most importantly, not TOO dense. I love how they add the chimichurri sauce on the side, it definitely cuts the strong savory flavor of the filling. Overall, I'm definitely coming back to this place bc y'all sparked a newfound appreciation for empanadas

Mysel O.

Yelp
Located in the 3rd floor in Tyson's Mall. They fry them fresh to order. You can pick a side of fries or a side salad. It was delicious!

Mitch S.

Yelp
Wow, talk about a punch of flavor. Empanadas de Mendoza hit the mark. I ordered the three empanadas and 1 side for $15.50. Not a bad deal in my book considering the portion was huge. I selected the spicy beef, honey bbq pork, and three cheese. The beef and pork were exploding with flavor and extremely well seasoned and packed with tender meat. The three cheese empanadas was good but lacked the dense full bite the other two had. The salad was really fresh and I felt the perfect combination with the crispy empanadas. I would get some extra sauce on the side it was really good but could use a bit more to dip in the empanadas. The wait wasn't too bad but it did take about 12-15 minutes if you're in a rush just be aware. Definitely a great place for empanadas I would recommend trying these kinds and others !

Mel T.

Yelp
Incredible empanadas! Fried fresh, flavors are so tasty. I got the traditional beef and spicy beef with 1 side (fries). Friendly staff and clean.

S E.

Yelp
You force me to use my card because you don't take cash, but you charge me a credit card fee??????? Are you kidding me???????? Order cancelled!!! How much money have you lost because of this foolishness????

Kiley Q.

Yelp
Delicious empanadas with traditional flavors as well as some vegetarian unique flavors! I surprisingly really liked the ham and cheese one. The sauces were delicious as well. I will be back here to get my fix of empanadas.

N D.

Yelp
Pricey, but great empanadas that are fried upon order. Wish there was a less expensive combo for 2-3 empanadas. Perhaps remove the fries and cut the price.

L M.

Yelp
This the the first time we got the empanadas from this location. We usually get it from the Lorton location. Seeing we live right "around the corner" When we crave empanadas this is the place to be! We love the cheese empanadas and the really spicy beef empanadas. We also get the churros which are so delicious too! But huh would you guys maybe consider making a not so medium spicy beef empanadas for the ppl that only can handle the mediocre heat ( not me lol) ?

Valeria L.

Yelp
Empanadas de queso are amazing !!! Just a casual place to eat very good empanadas and fries! Very quick service

Brian H.

Yelp
On a recent Sunday evening I stopped by to get some empanadas to go for my family for dinner. Got a dozen of many different varieties and staff was friendly and recommended some favorites. We all enjoyed them and would return next time we find ourselves in Tysons.

Claudia C.

Yelp
Visited the food truck and oh my goodness... the empanadas were amazing! I cannot wait for their return.

Dochi D.

Yelp
best argentinian food ever! i really don't understand the bad reviews, i guess any business can have a bad day. but thankfully every time i've gone i've never been disappointed

Vu P.

Yelp
employees have really bad attitude when they handed customer food. No wonder they don't have a lot of customers .

Eric C.

Yelp
The empanadas here are amazing! Spicy beef is delicious, but the real sleeper hit here is the sweet corn and basil empanada, with a hit of the ancho chili aioli. If you're at Galleria, go now!

Brian K.

Yelp
Got traditional and spicy beef empanadas. They were both filled generously with flavorful fillings. Spicy beef actually was spicy which I appreciate. Didn't realize they gave me fries too so fries were soggy by the time I tried it but they tasted pretty good with their chimichurri seasoning. Would've been better if I tried them fresh.

Andrea B.

Yelp
Spicy beef and cheese empanadas of GOOD! We ordered the churros as well and they were very tasty. And staff is very helpful

Michael R.

Yelp
Hidden gem in the food court at Tyson's Galleria - these are hands down the best empanadas I've ever had! The family that runs it are also very nice.

Daisy N.

Yelp
I picked up a variety of empanadas for a picnic at Wolftrap and the gang loved them. They were hot and fresh. Interesting flavors too.

Justin T.

Yelp
Always my go-to for empanadas. Their Traditional beef and pineapple chicken are my staple items to order. Noticed they have self order screens now which is great to use which speeds up the order/pickup process.

Carlos C.

Yelp
Empanadas are very tasty, the real Argentinian taste! We had the traditional beef empanadas and churros!

Jay F.

Yelp
Just a perfect trio of empanadas. The honey BBQ pork was on a different level though. You know the owners take their trade very seriously.

Brian M.

Yelp
Really good empanadas! The breading is soft and flakey. The filling is generous. Different than Julia's Empanadas but just as good. Will definitely be back.
