"The earliest mention of St. Peter Stiftskulinarium was in an 803 AD letter to Charlemagne, emperor to the Holy Roman Empire (maybe someone ought to call Guinness World Records). The spot has purportedly served the likes of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Christopher Columbus. The kitchen, though, has kept up with the times, unafraid of transforming the menu to please modern palettes. Today the restaurant serves refined Austrian classics and nouveau European dishes using locally grown ingredients. And when guests head to sit down and enjoy your meal, they have have 11 rooms of a former monastery to choose from, including vaulted chambers of exposed brick."

Great restaurant atmosphere. The host and waiter were exceptional. Loved that they had a dress code, but it wasn’t enforced- several people were wearing baseball hats and hoodies. Bartender was not super bubbly but made a good drink. Food presentation was superb, but the food itself was not incredibly flavorful (we aren’t crazy spice people, but the spicy avocado salad had almost no detectable heat, to the point where we were spooning extra chili sauce into it and the wontons for flavor). Teriyaki steak noodles were the best of the dishes we tried. Overall good experience.

Google
The food was good but the flavours could have been more punchy. The price was high for what the food is. Our waitress was so kind, we really liked her. Go for the atmosphere.

Google
Great food, great ambience and great service. T Didn't know this place was such a vibe from inside and served so many veg items. We had their avocado rice rolls, crispy cauliflower which was delicious, mapo tofu which was great as well, scallian pancakes, and noodles. I would definitely recommend this place. The portion size is good and the service is also great.

Google
First time coming here and I have to say the service and food was top tier. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure my BF bday was extra special. We will be back and and we're bring friends!!! But get there early to find parking.

Google
Loved it.. food is great. Avocado rice bite is my favorite.. Portions are large more of shareable size. Parking garages are near by or street paid parking.

Google
The atmosphere had a great vibe, with a perfect balance of dark intimacy and lively, upbeat music. The service was quick and efficient. While the menu is extensive, I opted for sushi. It was good, though I’ve had better elsewhere.

Google
Empire is a Pan Asian, high-end restaurant. Ambiance is very welcoming. The vegetarian choices were right-on The black pepper wide noodles had the right level of sting (black pepper). Loved the food. Certainly a place to go celebrate!!!

Google
I had a great time out with my coworkers at this beautiful place. The service is great even for big groups of people. We had multiple servers that were assisting us. I really liked my Red Dragon Roll and Lobster Miso Soup. But the highlight of the evening was their Black Cherry Cube Dessert!!! Highly recommend 👏

Jo B.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food. I loved the blackened tuna rice bites (that was really good). Hong Kong Spicy chicken was really good. We also had - Red Dragon Maki - Seaweed salad - lobster and crab Rangoon - Singapore noodles - Wagyu Truffle gyoza Honestly everything was pretty good!

Yelp
My recent visit to Empire Boston was mostly enjoyable, but there were a few aspects that could have been improved. We ordered a Sapporo, the Shanghai Sangria, the edamame, avocado rice bites, and beef lo mein. My boyfriend enjoyed his Sapporo and the sangria was average - pretty sweet. The edamame was fresh and lightly salted, making for a simple yet satisfying appetizer. However, the timing of the dishes was a bit off, as the beef lo mein arrived just a couple of minutes after the edamame, which didn't give us any time to enjoy the appetizer fully before the entrée hit the table. It felt a bit rushed and had us questioning the freshness of the lo mein. That being said, the beef lo mein is a big enough serving to share. The beef was tender and the noodles were well-cooked, but it lacked a wow factor to make it stand out for other similar dishes we've had. The Pad Thai is definitely better. The avocado rice bites were the highlight of this meal - crispy on the outside with fresh and flavorful avocado on top. Overall, Empire has a nice ambiance, great music and good service. However, the pacing and attention to detail could use a little refinement. It's a decent spot if you're in the Seaport area, especially if you're just stopping by for apps and drinks.

Yelp
Unfortunately what I ate was not memorable. I lived in Boston for three years and didn't have the desire to return. IT WASNT BAD! ...The food was ok. Empire is the case of lots of fan fare that just doesn't hold through the menu. I think it is probably great for a little ambience & drinks maybe? Or maybe we didn't order the right items from the menu - I've had that happen before - the things that taste the worse...who knew all items on a menu are not created equal. Either way, proceed with caution, especially if you're seeking great Chinese-Asian-fusion food.

Yelp
I loved this restaurant, even though it wasn't on my list, we got here by accident but I'm glad it work out well. The service was really good, the waiter was fantastic very friendly. The food was amazing, everything that we had was good, the portions were huge so it's worth your money. The restaurant is big, but feels comfortable. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Overall next time I'm in Boston I should be back indeed.

Pia B.

Yelp
Good food - small bites and GF. Good for an after show nosh. Excellent service. Couldn't make either cocktail I asked for due to lack of ingredients. (Mexican Last Word & can't remember now). Loud music aimed at a younger crowd, but fun for a while!

Demeka F.

Yelp
Invited a colleague/mentor out to dinner here and we enjoyed ourselves! Our server was great. She was kind and prompt. I was excited to try the miso lobster soup, which I've never seen on a menu before. It was good, not spectacular. I appreciated that there was lots of lobster meat, but there was nothing else special about it. I got the gluten Free fried chicken, which was good, but it was missing the sauce that's typically on the wings. The veggie fried rice was good but not amazing. It was missing something, maybe a sauce, but still good. I will come back, even if it's only for the GF fried chicken. The music also got good as it got close to 9. Loved having even a little music in the background to casually dance to at the table.

Yelp
Visited Empire last night to celebrate two of my friends' birthdays and the food is extremely mid. Don't get me wrong, none of the food we ordered was terrible but the food was nothing spectacular either. We ordered a couple apps to start, including the "spicy" avocado salad, salt and pepper wings, and fried calamari. The apps I would all rate 5/10. We also ordered a bunch of rolls which honestly were not bad, just nothing special. For the price of each roll, I would say they are not worth it at all and you could get the same rolls (& probably better quality & ingredients) for half the price from your local neighborhood sushi joint. 5/10 for their sushi rolls. I honestly was content with only having a bite of each dish we ordered because I did not want to waste space in my stomach. The only thing I would probably come back for is the lychee martini. Please do not make the mistake of ordering the pad thai. The pad thai they served was absolutely terrible. The noodles were soggy, bland, and too wet. We ended the dinner with two desserts, one triple chocolate cake and the coconut mango baked alaska. The coconut mango baked alaska tasted like passion fruit with no hints of mango or coconut, so it was super disappointing. The triple chocolate cake was mostly just fudge and no actual cake. Overall, Empire is a nice looking restaurant. I know that it does turn into a night club at night except on Sundays... but come on. The food should be a high priority and unfortunately is not great & is overpriced. Would not come back again.

Joie T.

Yelp
Expensive but I would recommend coming here for drinks, appetizers and sushi only. None of the mains/entrees were worth ordering. Would recommend: Blackened tuna/spicy salmon rice bites Wagyu sliders Lobster rangoons Jonah crab rangoons Chili pork wontons Tuna truffle sashimi Tataki belly flight

Chris R.

Yelp
Food was amazing, my party was pescatarian but they had plenty of options to choose from. The waitress was super helpful and patient. Ambiance was trendy and turned into a club later at night.

Vivian L.

Yelp
Ambiance was nice, but the service wasn't the best, which is weird considering that I was sitting at the bar and I could've sworn the bartender was ignoring me. Other than being ignored, it is a good place for drinks though. Cocktails were good. I recommend the Royal Akuma. I did enjoy the variety from the torched belly flight, and from the two way rangoons.

Abby F.

Yelp
I walked in and was able to sit at a nice table for one. The service was a little slow but the food was amazing. Very great ambience super trendy. The black and tuna was one of the best crispy rices 9.5/10. The side of Ginger was also really good. I highly recommend getting the seaweed salad to start.

David F.

Yelp
I am a longtime and frequent customer, especially 2-3 years ago. I went back again tonight and it has serious problems. They used to have valet parking which I always used ; it was a gem that they have now eliminated . The food was nothing special alwith outrageously high prices. I can't see why I would go again ...

Gennie L.

Yelp
i enjoyed the vibes of the restaurant more than the food. the food was pretty pricey, but expected, since the restaurant is located in seaport. my boyfriend and i ordered the singapore street noodles ($32), crispy salmon roll ($28), shrimp appetizer and hot and sour soup ($10). the hot and sour soup was disgusting. everything else tasted pretty good. empire is more suitable for date nights or birthday celebrations. it's definitely more for young adults. customer service was ok. they are extremely strict on the 15 minute grace period. if you're 16 minutes late, you need to re-reserve. their dresscode is stylish nightlife attire. it's a pretty boujee restaurant overall. overall rating: 6/10

Ben K.

Yelp
This is literally the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. Not even the worst Asian food, the worst food period. I thought nothing would top the "Asian" food they serve in Memphis, TN but here I am sadly mistaken. We went there with a group of friends and everyone commented their entree is terrible. My friends were LITERALLY adding salt to their fried rice and adding water to their pad thai because the seasoning/texture was so off. This place is now jokingly referred to in our group chat and has become a meme. The decor/ambiance might be a 5/5 but I can cook better food at home and not charge over $30 an entree.

Ruhi S.

Yelp
This place deserves a one star for the amazing ambience - beautiful carpets and white linen tables. Theoretically, this would be the place to take people to wow them. Unfortunately, I had a wow experience for the wrong reasons. This place is a downgrade of food quality from Panda Express. The hot and sour soup was highly oily and tasted like dishwasher soap. The soup was gloopy and unappetizing. The black pepper chow fun was also highly oily and lacked any vegetables, tofu, or flavor. Unfortunately, this was one of few vegetarian entree options. At $10 for that small bowl and ~$25 for the chow fun, and super slow service even for an early dinner at 5, I expect a lot more.

Yelp
I'm a Boston native now living in L.A. I return to Boston often and ALWAYS try to make a point of returning to Empire for a meal. It's busy and can get loud, and is definitely a hot spot for nearby businesses to hold their corporate meals, but its popularity makes complete sense to me - the food is always consistently delicious, drinks expertly made. In my dozens of visits here I've probably tried everything on the menu and have never received a dish that wasn't absolutely delicious. Over the last 12+ years, I've brought family, friends, and coworkers here - from groups of 2 to 12 - and everyone always leaves with a smile on their face, and a "wow, what a place" review. During a recent visit, the Manager approached me, having seen that I'm a repeat customer, and made me feel so special and appreciated. Just another nice touch! In a word: FLAVORFUL. You can't go wrong eating at Empire.

Darshan P.

Yelp
Vibes 10/10 great music and the staff is always smiling. The food.... 2/10 the food came out very quickly. We ordered the chicken and dumplings. Those were really bad and they tasted burnt. We ordered the avocado rice bites, those were actually really good and very flavorful. The vegetable spring rolls the two sauces that came with it were absolutely horrible. We ended up just leaving because we knew if we ate the dinner. It was just gonna keep getting worse and we really didn't wanna waste our time. The place is actually really nice on the inside, but it is very overpriced for both food and drinks.

Chithra V.

Yelp
Such a classic restaurant with its own bar that turns into a club just on Saturday night. Needs a reservation to get in though. Loved the place in so many ways. The food was rich; we ordered Singapore noodles, shrimp sushi, Chicken Appetizers, strawberry Margherita moctail and the white chocolate dessert. The best part is Kitchen is open until 2 AM on Saturdays. Never came across any place that has the kitchen open until late hours. So definitely recommend this place. The bar/club and the restaurant space is pretty spacious. So imagine the crowd coming for Saturday night.

Emily N.

Yelp
Very cool huge restaraunt! Super loud! Have to yell to hear eachother. Definitely on the more expensive side, but the portions are huge! Our waitress was so nice. We got our food so quick! I think they mistakenly gave us another tables food so we got our food two minutes after we ordered. The pad thai was pretty dry. The fried rice was tasty. The egg rolls were very good!

Eric J.

Yelp
I recommend you stop looking for somewhere to eat and head straight over to Empire. I could stop the review there, but there's a bit more to divulge. We were able to book a reservation the night before as a "just in case" measure, I think we would've been okay just popping in though. Inside the restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Partly because I was hungry, partly because I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and probably mostly because it was freaking cold outside!lol The entire experience was....pleasant. I say that in the most melodramatic possible way. Thinking about the experience it was almost like I'd eaten there 1000 times, even though it was my first. It was far above ordinary, but with extreme relaxation and comfortable pleasantness. Enough, you want to know about the food, I get it. Well, do I really need to go past the 5 Star rating above? Okay, you've twisted my arm. The food was everything you would expect from such an establishment. Preparation was super timely, presentation was appealing, and the taste delighted the palate. Check them out next time you're in the area!

Yelp
I base this review on the Monday AYCE Sushi menu. They do not advertise it, nor do they provide a paper menu. Only by checking the website would you know it exists. AYCE is typically suitable for folks who eat sushi like a vacuum cleaner, yet this is not an excuse for lackluster pieces of substandard quality. The Salmon Mango, while not phenomenal, is one of the rolls we ordered again. While fine the first time, the following iterations had some unwelcome funk. Not the kind that gets you sick, but that indicates the fish isn't fresh. Yikes. The rest of the rolls were uninteresting. I would have loved to provide my usual exhaustive, meticulous review if there was something to write about. While to be fair, some, like the Salmon Mango and Hamachi Tartare, were topped with fish, inside each was a minute amount. The exception is the Spicy Tuna, yet the filling is ground tuna mixed with tempura and alleged spice. The service left something to be desired. At the start of the night, 5pm, the restaurant was almost dead. Yet, the service was surprisingly inattentive, and we had to wait longer than I had expected. This did get better towards the end of the meal, and the sushi came out fast. Still, the initial experience left an unpleasant first impression. It comes down to a question of value. At a rate of $49/pp, I expect both a higher caliber of food and service. The name, the vibe, the big doors, and the handles... it is a façade. Something is seriously wrong when I can get much better sushi at Market Basket. Finally, some minor details that, while don't make or break a restaurant, matter nonetheless. The wonton chips were light, crisp, and not overly greasy, yet lacked even a flake of salt. Also, we were initially provided one tiny 'plate' with wasabi and ginger. Less than you'd get in a takeaway container for one portion, and this was for three people getting AYCE. We could ask for more, but it speaks to execution and attention to detail. While I haven't tried their other offerings, nor am I a partier, this experience left me without any desire for making a return visit.

Yelp
Food was good overall, portions were filling and drinks were strong. Service was subpar considering the rejection of my friends ID due to an issue with ID validation. We managed to work it out, but after the issue was resolved our waitress only talked to one person of our group (group of 3) for practically the rest of the night. Despite me and my friend requesting dessert, she talked to the one person in the group who expressed no interest in dessert? Very strange. Overall we had a good time, not great service though. At least for us this particular night.

Isabella C.

Yelp
Me and my best friend dined here to celebrate grad school acceptances. Our server was TIERRA and she was INCREDIBLE. As someone who has worked in the service industry for a few years I have never received such attentive service like this. The hosts read the note I left about it being a special occasion and they brought us an amazing desert with great presentation. The food was a 20/10!!! Tierra was kind and patient with us, we were there for 2 hours and she was amazing with us the entire time. We didn't feel rushed once. The manger who came to check on us was extremely kind and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back again. AMBIANCE AMAZING TOO!! Thank you so much for an amazing night !!

Yelp
What a find in the Seaport area! This was my 2nd visit in as many weeks. First time was a group dinner and last night was just my wife and me. We were lucky enough to have David as our server. He is TERRIFIC! Food quality and serving size is beyond impressive. The atmosphere of both the dining room and the kitchen bar is inviting and offers any level of preferred intimacy which lends itself to any type of dining experience that you may be seeking. We will DEFINITELY make Empire a "go-to" for business or personal meals! Thanks!

Christopher S.

Yelp
Trendy spot in the Seaport that came highly recommended, but left with mixed feelings on my experience. - Drinks were solid. I got a cocktail special Spice Spice Baby which was honestly more of a dessert, but good nonetheless. - Appetizers were mediocre. This was a weak point for Empire- none of the sauces were really anything to write home about, which was disappointing, and the accompanying items (dumplings, calamari, scallion pancakes) were very meh. - Main course was actually delicious. My Street Noodles saved this spot from an altogether negative review. Really tasty dish with generous portion size and fine presentation as well. Up and down review but definitely some high points!

Dee C.

Yelp
So I've been here before during the night time but never for dining so it was shocking to find out that they do serve food. Not only do they serve food but that food is very good, I had the sea bass and oh my God the first bite was so delicious I had it with the white rice which was also very good. The person I was with had this fried rice and chicken and that was really really good. They have this sauvignon blanc that is to die for. The service could be a little better it was a lot slow with so very few people in the restaurant however after ordering the food came out pretty quickly it was just getting the order out that was the tough part all in all it was a great experience

EnXync A.

Yelp
Overhyped! Food is bland, blegh. I ordered a starter, main and sushi and they were all bleghhhhh. Service wasn't welcoming. I was rushed off my table 40mim before our reservation time was due. I was told the next reservation is coming in 5min. 30min later still no one. I refused to tip due to this, and the waitress was visibly upset of course, she was surprised, she mentioned paying out her pocket ,they don't get paid much etc, I didn't wanna argue, so I gave her 10bucks. I didn't have a good experience here, I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't return. I didn't like being forced to tip for an experience I didn't enjoy. I sympathized anyway. The ambiance is the only thing going for this place. That's about it.

Ethan O.

Yelp
Empire exceeded my expectations with their delicious steak frites. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the frites were just the right amount of crispy. What surprised me even more was their sushi - it was absolutely delicious! A unique combination that left my taste buds satisfied. Great experience overall!

Amber M.

Yelp
Though the food was amazing, I still wouldn't step foot in this restaurant ever again. The service was horrible. At the end of our dinner, as we were looking at our check, the waiter came up to me and my dining companions and said, "Start wrapping up." How disrespectful! The wait staff didn't even give me time to finish my food; they seemed intent on kicking me out as soon as I was served. Oh a separate note, the bathroom was an absolute mess, especially for such an expensive restaurant. I could go on and on about this restaurant's issue, but don't want to waste anyone's time. See for yourself, but you were warned.

Katherine H.

Yelp
I really liked empire! The best food is the potstickers and the sushi is pretty good too. The lo mein and fried rice is good but not the best. The vibes are really good though - very spacious and good popular music playing. Would definitely recommend for birthday dinners, as we did, or large parties celebrating occasions.

Chirag M.

Yelp
Food is sub par, cocktails and service are average. Only saving grace is the ambience if you're looking for a vibey spot in the seaport with late night dining. Overall not great, but not terrible either

Amina R.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance. I got to the dinner late so I don't have an opinion on anything other than the Singapore noodles. Definitely want to visit this spot in the near future. The Singapore noodles were really good, packing lots of flavor. I have never had them with scallops so that was definitely surprise to my taste buds that I have to thumbs up.

Alexis M.

Yelp
The lychee martinis here are so darn good 10/10 would highly recommend! The ambiance here is also really chic and dark I love it.

Steven W.

Yelp
Went to the club on a Friday night, the club side of Empire. The bouncers were friendly but it was hard to get a drink on how busy it was. The vibe was okay but for me, I was not feeling the energy or the music, which threw the mood out. Not too large of a space for dancing. They do have TV screens playing sports games throughout the night. Floors were sticky and the restaurant was still open on the other side.

Joanna C.

Yelp
When one of my friends suggested we check out Empire for dinner since it's right around the corner from my office, I immediately was skeptical. In general, trendy vibe Asian fusion spots have been a letdown, but decided to give it a shot. We get there at 7:15 PM on a Thursday night, our reservation time, and let one of the hostesses know. She asks us to wait. It seems a bit disorganized, but we patiently wait. 20 minutes go by and while some people who got in after us are seated, we're still not seated or acknowledged so we go ask again. The first hostess says to keep waiting. Then one of the hostesses says to follow her, but she also says it to another couple so we all walk over and she seats the first couple and then forgets about us. It was SO WEIRD and kind of uncomfortable. So we go back to the front and ask the last remaining hostess. She then immediately seats us. There were plenty of open tables so I'm confused about why we had the wait and why we had to keep asking when we had a reservation. Once we're seated there's quite a bit of a wait before our server stops by, but she's friendly. We decide to share a few dishes: -Two Way Rangoons: quintessential fusion food that I secretly have always enjoyed. The ones here were tasty! -Mapo Tofu: definitely not authentic (which isn't their brand anyways), but not bad. Wasn't something I felt like I had to keep eating, but enjoyed the bites that I had -Chicken and Broccoli: gave me Panda Express vibes...which is meant as a neutral statement. Whether you like it or not depends on your own preferences.. -Singapore Street Noodles: these were solid. Like the amount of toppings in there and the flavors were on point! Wish I had been hungrier because I would've eaten more of this one Decor is nice and despite the hiccups with getting seated, we had a nice time. Not rushing to come back, but could be persuaded again.

Rocky W.

Yelp
The food here is fine. I would recommend their sushi rolls or noodle dishes. Yes, the menu prices are expensive, but that's expected in seaport and this is a more upscale restaurant. I'm taking a star off because our server made us pay before we received our food which I thought was strange. At night, Empire turns into a club that does not charge cover even on major holidays. The music they play is hip hop and it has a pretty cool vibe. The interior design inside is amazing and it's pretty spacious inside. They also have big party rooms available from private events.

Joseph S.

Yelp
A massive space with an equally large menu. Service quite good. Party of 4. Ordered 4 appetizers and shared - potstickers, torched belly flight (a bit overpriced), scallion pancakes, and dumplings. Good variety and more than enough to share. Entrees were for some reason 3 chicken dishes - tik tok, srirachi buttermlk, and Hong Kong spicy - and Singapore Street noodles. All tasty and a few on the spicy side. With cocktails, a couple of glasses of wine, and tip - not an inexpensive night.

Holly K.

Yelp
Not sure how to quite describe the "vibe" of this place, as it changed throughout the night. We sat on the lounge side of the restaurant; it reminds me of a speakeasy with dim lighting, funky wallpaper and carpet, with plenty of seating (both low tables and big chairs, as well as tons of seats around the bar). Went on a Thursday night- it was quiet at first, but by the time I left it was packed. Quickly went from feeling like I was in a relaxed environment, to feeling like I was in a club. Didn't sample too many appetizers with my wine, but I did try the spicy tuna roll, the lobster/crab rangoons, and the spicy edamame. I thought the lobster and crab rangoons were reallyyyy good (my favorite), and the other apps were just average. A little pricey, but expected for Seaport area.

Morgan L.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here a few nights ago for dinner via Uber Eats and it was most likely the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. We waited an hr and a half for it, then I couldn't even eat it. This dish was just completely and totally inedible, everything about it. I *very* rarely throw out food, and I felt even worse tossing this one since it was also probably the most expensive Pad Thai I've had... I wouldn't have minded paying $26 (before tax and delivery fees) for a Pad Thai if it was good enough to at least satiate my hunger, but this was unacceptable. Why would you even put an item on the menu if it's this bad? Total disappointment. My boyfriend took pity on me and gave me some of his scallion pancakes, which were good, but certainly did not make up for the Pad Thai. A couple of scallion pancakes is not dinner.

Vanessa A.

Yelp
Came to check this place out as it has now been at the Seaport for 11Years. The food is ok, the slickly chicken wings were too salty and too much crisp, the salmon sushi was suggested by the server-bartender as I do not eat sushi- it was really good! I loved the crispy rice as it helped with the texture thing that I do not like, the avocado went well on top of the rice. I'd you are new to sushi this so mild you don't really taste that fishy flavor that people claim salmon has. The drinks were creative and small glasses. To go here is for the experience, the crowd, and for celebrations- I would be surprised to hear if they had regulars that frequent the lounge UNLESS it is for the weekend when they clear out the furniture in the bar area and they have a DJ. The customers seemed to be professionals at the time we visited which was Thursday at 6 pm- I bet it gets busy here in the winter. What I loved about the Empire is the entire establishment had only one tv!

Husain V.

Yelp
Came here for a holiday work event so I can't speak much on the service or the ambiance as we were put in an area where we could walk around, but other people were passing through. From the little interaction I did get from the waiters, it was... meh. The food was mediocre, very far from my first choice, but again, it was a work event so I can't be too harsh, but when I took a look at the menu to see what else they had, I guess I probably can. The worst part of it all was the drinks.... Oh the drinks... I ordered an old fashion first. It was incredibly sweet and instead of a cherry, they put a lime in it... I was so baffled. I confirmed with the waiter that it was their version of an old fashioned. I can't even think of a name for that drink, but it definitely wasn't an old fashioned. I then ordered an espresso martini which straight up I think was just baileys. At least they put the 3 coffee beans because even that surprised me. Or maybe they thought if they added baileys to a glass, which wasn't even a real martini glass, and put 3 coffee beans on it, you could call it an espresso martini. Thought about maybe coming back for a personal experience, but I most likely won't be. There's tons of other great options in seaport.

Yelp
Empire has the worst managers I have ever encountered. I have been working at the restaurant industry since I was 14 years old, I'm very knowledgeable of how the restaurants supposed to work. On Friday 6/21/2021 we came to this establishment to have a good night. The system went down, and a lot of people walked out without paying their bill. They asked my friends for their credit card information, my friends said no, and is there another way we can pay. My friends left the waitress a tip, and said when the system comes back up lets us know. We waited till about 1am. My friend got stopped by a manager when we was trying to leave, and the manager grab my friend by her arm, and said she didn't pay her tab, and started to point her figure in my friend's face, and embarrassed her in front of security and other guest. This was very unprofessional and uncalled for . I went to the manager and told them I will pay for the tab, she took me to the back, and it took her 15 mins to look up for the check, she said thank you sweetheart and I walked away. Empire please do better. You loss a loyal customer with this unprofessional behavior.

Yelp
whoever called this place a fusion restaurant should be in jail you are better off ordering Chinese food from doordash, im sure youd get more flavor. fancy looking not fancy at all... other than the scamming prices. wish i could go back in time and not come here.

Yelp
Highly recommend the appetizers, however, the mains fell flat for me. The scallion pancakes, lobster Rangoon, potstickers, and wings along with their dips were great. The noodles were a bit dry and sesame beef a bit overcooked. The vibe and ambience is also great and they have fun cocktails. The servers are very attentive. The mains are a bit overpriced for the quality.

Yelp
Not great...! It's like a factory, very automated. The food was stale with no definitive flair, service is ok but still robotic... the ambience is loud without purpose because it's not a happening atmosphere but more like a lot is going on. Ut elsewhere, people just come and go. Expensive too..$$$$ very!!!

Yelp
Where to begin : still or sparkling? Let me start with the good... our server was nice and the food was actually really good. Ok now to the real issues. Our back server asked us if we wanted water. Sure still and sparkling for everyone. We ordered knowing each bottle was like $600 but we didn't care. Lol ... I'm any case some got still and others got sparkling. After tell him who wanted what he poured everything wrong. Not only that he poured someone a cup of still and was wrong, he took the whole cup away ?!?! Umm excuse me ??? We are paying for that ... then I'm half way done with my still when he comes over and pours sparkling... another cup of still gone! It was a nightmare ... It was pretty obvious Peggy had a huge section and it was too much ... not for her but for any server . We had long periods of not seeing someone ... drinks took forever ... you know it's bad when the manager is running drinks. Wait, did I mention when i was speaking with host the manager interrupted me and didn't say excuse me or anything !?!?!? It was great! Then at the end we get a whole mix up with the checks ... they said my business card was declined ???? Bottom line is my bank tells me when a transaction is declined ... i checked and it seemed like my card was never ran. Then we used another persons card and it was only approved for some of the check??? It was very "strange" ... we ended up paying in cash. Oh wait, we ordered apps ... a lot of them and then the empty plates sat there. Main dishes came out and asked the person can we have the dirty dishes cleared first "oh yes" as they put the main dishes ON TOP OF OUR DIRTY ONES!!!! Yikes ... either way music was really good thank you Spotify

Yelp
The service was extraordinary. It was easy to make a reservation online. My party got to the restaurant late due to work running over, and the staff was super accommodating in getting us a table and adding one to the party too. They offer luggage check if you're coming to / from the airport. The food came out pretty quickly once we ordered. The food portions were really quite big, especially given that this is such a nice and fancy place. The shareables is just as big as a regular entree anywhere else. The food was pretty good, lacked seasoning in some places but the sauces that came with the dishes made up for it. Would definitely recommend and would come back again

Yelp
We booked a private room with Rebecca, who was extremely knowledgeable and gracious. Upon arrival our server David, greeted us by name at the door, showed us our room and was available throughout. We never had to wait or look for him. The timing given to each course was perfect. The menu we selected had plenty of food and was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I was too busy to entertaining to remember to take pictures. I did however get a picture of the dessert platter and each one was divine. Every single person at the table enjoyed their meal and attentive service. The restaurant pleasantly accommodated allergies and a guest who was vegetarian with ease. If we lived in Boston I would entertain here more frequently, a huge thank you to the team for making our celebration extraordinary.

Yelp
If you ever wanted to eat with live animals this is the place to go! We went to eat there and the food was very bland, not to mention the Chicken Lo Mein we ordered was cold and there was barely any chicken in it. The music in the restaurant was louder than necessary. The place was very empty and though we are aware it turns into more of a lounge at night, the 15-ish people at the bar were not there to party. It was very hard to hear anything across the table. The worst part though was the MICE running back and forth past our table during dinner. When we asked to speak the manager regarding the mice he sent the very nice waitress out to let us know that he was "too busy dealing with a staff meeting" to come out and speak to paying customers and that if we wanted to we could wait but that they weren't sure how long he would take. We spent a lot of money between just 5 people, not to mention my office frequents that place often but it's safe to say that after what we saw and the way the manager acted last night we will never be returning and I will be telling everyone i know. Dining with mice is not an experience I ever want to have again. If i could leave 0 stars I would.
