Pretty good venue. It is surprisingly smaller than you would expect, but a good number of people can still fit into the space before the band. The space before the band is basically dedicated to moshing if it gets crazy, and the sides are where everyone else spills out. I saw Melt Banana, and it got to basically full capacity. Since the venue is so small, it's pretty easy to get to a spot where you can see the artist if you're a big fan. It got really hot in the room, wish the ac was on higher but they probably don't want to risk it being overworked. After the show, the artist was nice enough to give autographs and take selfies with people while packing up! There's an outdoor patio, too, where you can still listen to the music from afar while taking a breather. However, it's mostly for smoking, so it starts to reek further into the night, which can be unpleasant if you're sensitive to smells. At the height of the night the place starts to lack on seating too, though many people don't mind sitting on the wooden planked ground outside.

This review is going to be an outlier. This is to document our horrible experience. It's going to be long. A small gripe: the mixed drinks sucked. It may not have been due to the fault of the workers, but the alcohol was disgusting. I asked for a rum and coke, and the entire drink tasted like a dirty tequila. "That sounds like you got a lot of alcohol." Yeah, it sounds that way, but it didn't give me any intoxication feeling, so it wasn't that much. I'm really not sure what I was given. Whatever it was tasted a few months expired. My girlfriend had the same experience with an entirely different mixed drink. Also, I got a notification that I was double charged for my tab the following day. I have seen a few other low-rated reviews that also mention overcharging/double charging. The real issue. We meet a woman in her 50s here. During the performance, she fainted and was unconscious on the ground for 4 minutes before a single worker came up to help us with her. Finally, an older man who worked here came to help us move her. From the second that man arrived, it went downhill. My brother and a stranger were helping move this lady to a safer spot where she could sit and get some air to recover. The employee couldn't have cared less about this lady. All he cared about was getting her off the property, and he was actually repeating "she's a liability" over and over and over. He also kept telling my brother to go away. While all he was doing was trying to make sure she was going to get taken care of, since we have been with her since she lost consciousness. He got so annoyed that he looked like he was on the verge of fighting my brother. He even told me to get my brother to walk away, all because we didn't want to leave the woman until we knew she was okay. Once she was outside the venue, not a single employee tried to make sure she was okay. We had to tell one of them to give her a chair to sit on. After this point, we stayed outside the venue with this woman because it was clear the workers were not going to help her and were not trained to either. No one was called to check on her. The older man cared more to argue with us after this point than anything and had to be told to walk away by his manager. Even the younger manager cared more about arguing with us than checking on this woman. He definitely got upset as well and didn't let us go back in after this point. After about 20 minutes of being outside, I helped move the lady's chair farther from the exit door, but at an angle where she could still see the performance. This caused a third lady who worked there to start telling me how she couldn't be there; it's in the way of the exit. It was further out of the way than where the employee originally put the chair. As a note, there were 2 different employees sitting in chairs, way more in the way of the exit than we ever were. It was just another person going on a power trip trying to argue with us. Once the older lady was out, they didn't even want her to be able to see inside. I'm sure both employees did exactly what they had been trained to do, other than argue, obviously lol. But it was the most business HR-trained BS I have ever seen from a venue. Every other venue I have been to where something similar happened, there is always someone trained to help people in need and deescalate the situation. I would not come back. I'm also sure they couldn't care less about it. I guess some pros? There was a nice outdoor seating area, so that's good. Some people were allowed to bring in their own food as well.

Google
Very disappointing. No stage lights and weak sound system. Zombie staff. I couldn’t see most of the stage/performers because there weren’t any lights besides what the band provided. Sound had clarity but no volume. I could hear other people sing and have conversations during the headliner set, and I was in the pit. What sound I did hear was mostly bass and vocals. Bartenders are always dead-eyed jerks, but this place might take the cake. There was a bartender that was ugly, blatantly rude and bad mouthing a co-worker to me and my wife. Like who cares? The situation made everyone uncomfortable, so we just avoided the bar. But the crowd was awesome and saved the show for us. I’d really have to love the band to go back here, and if I did I’d consider bringing a hip flask to invigorate myself because this place is a total energy drain.

Google
First time here at for a show and it was such a fun experience. We saw Adan Diaz and Good Kid on a Friday night. The atmosphere was on point and the energy was so great. Looking forward to other shows here in the future

Google
It was a little pricey but it's Austin, Just went out to see the Alisha Sheffield and Iniko concert last night. Fell in love all over again. Bathroom was clean and most of the area was covered. A+ on keeping this a family friendly event. Got 2 shirts, couldn't be happier.

Google
I definitely did not expect this venue to be like this. Attended the inspire promotion 'Rule in Hell' pro wrestling event & in the words of any true wrestling fanatic. It was awesome!!!. It's your typical whole in the wall dive. Outside, hot, and hard. The perfect condition for great wrestling. The Venue was large enough to accommodate maybe 100 folks. Drinks and merchandise were available for purchase at the venue.

Jesan Sanchez

Google
Nice outdoor location for concerts. No sitting area except for ledge by trees. Drinks are good. Restroom was kept clean. Accessibility was a bit challenging since restroom is small.

Sanette Bermudez

Google
This place is an outdoor shaded venue so if your favorite band is playing here and it's summer make sure to wear outside clothes and get ready to sweat.

Jackie K.

Yelp
It was a great venue to see a show. Came in from Dallas to see the Knower show and had a great time. The sound was good and it was comfortable while being outside. The doorman Sam was so cool and helped me out with some water when he saw I was getting a bit warm while waiting in line. All the staff that we interacted with were really great. I would definitely see another show here.

Ashley W.

Yelp
I went to a Doublecamp and Alt Bloom concert here! The stage is located in a medium sized room that holds probably 80 or so people. I appreciate that they have iced water freely available!

Greg H.

Yelp
Lets start this off with I am not a downtown person. Honestly I never had been but when I choose to go I usually have fun but it is with a single focus in mind. Hit up a few bars, see a show, comedy. Something specific, never been the lets stay all night bar hopping type. So take that with the upfront factor that most downtown places are just not my thing. This was my first time here, Inspire AD had found a new home here for their monthly shows. This was our first time back since Covid started and I missed it. This place was pretty good, it is outdoors but has a huge cover/tent. The back part where the wrestlers were and some seats and restrooms did have A/C though as the seat part is still out in the open I am guessing that the A/C struggles. The place was open yet could feel intimate, they had a bar with frozen drinks which should be a requirement at least in the summer in Texas. The staff was friendly and even handed out random prizes such as t-shirts and sunglasses at times to random people in the crowd. They had a huge jug of water you could just refill. I didn't do enough of that and ended up in a pretty bad way the next day. I am older and don't do heat as well as I used to, the long outdoors shows of anything wipe me out pretty good but as places go this one was one of the better ones.

Athena H.

Yelp
I have been here twice, once in 2021 and most recently this year, 2023 to see one of my favorite bands. The music gets 5 stars but the venue isn't the most roomy or cohesive. To get from the entrance to the stage is a little confusing and is very hot because it is half indoor half outdoor. The restrooms are decently clean for this type of venue. The staff is pretty stand-offish. The location is near one of the worst parts of Austin safety wise, but security is good. Overall it's okay, I personally wouldn't just come to grab some drinks and hang out. If you're a music lover or are dying to see an artist it is absolutely worth it.

Chantel G.

Yelp
Fun fun fun!!! Definitely the place to go for abba night !! You will feel like dancing queenn!!! Fun to go with friends dressed up Themed drinks Friendly staff Bar inside is ok haha it's a bar but the outside Bartenders have a great pour n are so friendly

Natasha R.

Yelp
It's an interesting little venue. The staff is friendly. If you're not fortunate enough to get a spot inside the garage, you can't really see anything. Especially if you're only 5'3. Drinks are pricey af but that's Austin for you. Location is convenient to parking and there's lots of food options around. Sound quality was fantastic.

Z B.

Yelp
Loved hearing tunes in the garage! Musicians ( Jake Lloyd and Co. and Deezie Brown and his band) were tight! The live sound folks did a good job! Drinks wete spendy, but its a bar on downtown Austin.

Brian O.

Yelp
Great outdoor venue. My friends and I saw the sold out Roosevelt show last Saturday. Staff seemed very no nonsense and straightforward and followed Covid protocols without being nazis about it. Bar staff was friendly and plenty of choices. The sound system was great as well as the acoustics. There also was easy in/out access of the restrooms no huge line. I had a great time looking forward to seeing another concert on a future Austin visit.

Crystle A.

Yelp
Poor description of the venue on the website with incomplete information about performance time slots. I blew $120 on Os Mutantes tickets only to find they took the stage at 10:40pm (on a Thursday). Doors opened at 6:30, but at 7 pm, nobody was playing on either stage that was set up for performances. FOUR HOURS from gates opening to the headliner taking the stage, absolutely insane! This place is just a bar with music on the side. I emailed the company to inquire about venue details and never heard anything back. Not family friendly as described, it's in fact far from anywhere that kids of any age belong. Hard pass for any future concerts!!

Carrie M.

Yelp
I've been to three shows at Empire Garage, and I really like how intimate this venue feels. When I came here in fall 2021 and spring 2022, I did not see any water available, and when my friend asked for water at the bar, they said they didn't have any. But this time when I went in October 2022, they had water coolers and cups sitting outside. I think free water is really important at concerts, so I appreciate that. I usually come early to get a good spot. I would assume the view isn't great if you're not near the front because the stage is so low. The sound is deafening from the front row even with earplugs. The restrooms are good. My friend got a mixed drink for $10, so it is expensive but pretty normally priced. There are paid private parking lots nearby and some street parking.

Becca P.

Yelp
Venue is fine. Bathroom graffiti is top notch. Random 35 year old bartender that everyone can smell from across the room: no one thinks ur cool anymore. You're a washed up, uptight buzzkill. Do you like working there so can be around a bunch of high school and possibly middle school kids drinking? Cuz that's what Empire is.

Elisa G.

Yelp
Just a shout out to the crew working on our complex right now and a huge thank you to Roberto! Not only professional, but also extremely kind. He always has a great attitude and a kind word. He has also been so helpful to my husband who is slightly disabled. An ideal employee and human being!

Lisa G.

Yelp
First time to this place for the Penelope Scott concert with my kiddo. It was such a nice venue! It has a smaller concert area and a larger one. I am assuming the garage. They had a lot of great music playing all around. I love the garage vibe with the huge stage. The outside patio is a great hang out too. If I lived in Austin, I would frequent this place.

Lauren R.

Yelp
I've been to a handful of shows here, outside. The sound's good, it's a decent sized space but not too large (like Stubbs for example) so you're able to see the stage from anywhere. The drinks are priced like most bars/ venues on red river. Second to last time we were there they didn't have any free water coolers out and we said something because that didn't seem right, and when we were there last night water coolers were out! No parking, either take public transit, bike, walk, Lyft, or pay to park a couple blocks away. Women's restroom is usually decently clean and well stocked. I'd recommend a show here, overall good experience every-time I've come!

Sara S.

Yelp
We were here in the typical Austin summer weather, and wondered how enjoyable an outdoor event would be. It was a daytime concert and they did have accommodations to make it less steamy. Fans, coolers of water, definitely helped cool things down under the tent. My big complaint, which I guess came as more of a surprise to me than it might to others, was ALL the SMOKE. Bad bad air everywhere. My favorite law ever was the law passed banning indoor smoking, my lungs have been so happy! Now I have to beware of outdoor venues. Cigarettes and worse were just polluting all the air.

Keay A.

Yelp
Empire is in my top 5 list of favorite venues! They have tons of space, and and a pack patio area that I love. The drinks are always great but what I like most is the staff, whether I'm there as a customer, or working with a band during a show, they are always super helpful and kind and that's something I really appreciate. If you come to Empire, you're definitely going to have a good time!

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Killer sound. Killer bands. Get there early and wait in line, worth the wait to get to the front of the stage.

Brenda F.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and I've enjoyed the performances. The one reoccurring thing is the bartenders have a horrible attitude. They treat you like you're an inconvenience. Last time I was there, the bartender was yelling at me because I kindly asked him for a simple change to my drink. I would get it if they were crazy packed but there was no one else trying to order. I will no longer be ordering drinks at this place but would go if there is a performer I absolutely love.

AJ B.

Yelp
Came for a Kendrick Lamar night and it was amazing! Great DJ, energy, vibe, and ppl! Love the bathrooms here as well as the layout with about 3 outdoor areas and an inside bar it's perfect for any weather! Cant wait to return

Scott F.

Yelp
DON'T GET IT TWISTED... THIS IS NOT A GOOD REVIEW. The 5 stars are for Ricky Duran, Keith Sanders, and the vibe of the physical space .. but the staff, with the exception of Adam, is underwhelming.. and this particular person is EXTRA "special" .. arguably the least informed person I have ever met . Just clueless, and out of touch with social skills and reality.. Earth calling "Karen" . Just an awful, awful individual. Super rude to paying customers.

Albert G.

Yelp
First went here a few weeks back and the concept is bad ass! Former auto shop turned venue? I'm there! Very fast service at the bar and very friendly bar tenders. I didn't get to go into the actual garage because I had some friends with me who weren't to big on being in the pit. Even standing under where the garage door closes, the view was still great. Sound kind of drowned out during the set, but there are a number of factors for that. Sound was still great, overall. Keep on rockin'! Shows Seen Here: The Menzingers/Oso Oso/Sincere Engineer (First Show)

Samantha W.

Yelp
It was a really fun spot and the owner is cool. We had a good time and would definitely go back.

Dan K.

Yelp
The outside venue sucks as far as being able to see the stage for the crowd. The stage is not high enough and if you're not in the front row, you might as well not even be there in person.

Madelyn D.

Yelp
I really liked this place. The outside and inside vibe was really cool and unlike a lot of other venues, the drinks were actually affordable.

Brian T.

Yelp
Bought tickets for an ALL AGE event had my ID and VACCINATION card.Wouldn't let me in said I had to be 18. Terrible lady kept ranting to co workers saying we were annoying and that she wanted to quit her job.

Danielle M.

Yelp
Entire building is card only. Nowhere on the website, or social media does it say that. I live in in Cedar Park and haven't been to a show since before the pandemic. So all I can drink is water. Awesome. It wouldn't been cool if they posted they don't take cash.

A G.

Yelp
Bar staff is lacking In all the ways. Do better. Please. Have some personality or be human if that's feasible? It doesn't make me desire to stay or spend my money. I guess I shouldn't expect anything anymore destination Austin. Big thumbs down. One extra star for nostalgia.

Rob P.

Yelp
Saw Chromeo play a DJ set tonight at Empire. Wasn't too impressed at the venue. But I've lived in Las Vegas, so any DJ set will be in a pretty swanky club. Empire couldn't be further from that, though. It was a dirt/concrete half indoor/half outdoor lot. Not super easy to get up front but I eventually managed, and points for having a $5 Lonestar tallboy. Crowd wasn't so into it and a 12am curfew... I dunno, was just an average venue experience for me.

River D.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff and manager. They will do anything to cheat you and screw you over. Tried talking to a manager about the bouncer screwing me over and she literally laughed in my face. I get it that you probably have to deal with complaints a lot being the manager of a shitty music venue but the least you can do is keep it professional and not laugh in the face of an unhappy customer.

Chase H.

Yelp
I have to say... as far as a music venue Empire is one of my preferred venues, and I go here a lot. HOWEVER, the Bar tenders and management BLOW! They basically steal from their customers by adding 20% gratuity to your bill without telling you (no, just on 'walked' tabs either) Then I'm guess they Hope your tipsy ass doesn't look too closely at the fine print of your tab and tip on top of that! In one weekend I tipped 40%, 3 nights in a row, 20% that they added without telling me then 20% that I normally tip. I've been trying to resolve this with management for weeks. Good luck getting in contact with anyone at this place. They list no phone number and do not return emails about billing disputes (which to me, means they condone they act).

Ariel J.

Yelp
My friends and I bought a table to go see "All out boy" and we were doing our best to abide by COVID guidelines but they kept telling me I needed to wear my mask even outside In the line. I get that but they overcharged for beer and the liquor and I'm not too pleased by that. Everything was 1 hour late and the guy was very rude to us. Not pleased!

Tyler S.

Yelp
Venue suuuucks.... Got tix in advance and couldn't get in til after the opener because they couldn't check people in fast enough

Carmela S.

Yelp
This review is well overdue since I have been seeing shows here for two years. I have been to public shows, SXSW, New Year's Eve and a private event at this music venue. The location is great because you can grab a bite to eat very close and the parking under the highway makes for a short walk which is hard to say about a place downtown normally. The control room inside was where the private event that I went to for BlackFret. It was pretty full but, the bartenders are always quick with a drink and keeping your tab straight with two bars servicing this area. The inside stage lended itself well to the overall event and the visuals were impressive. There wasn't a bad view of the stage and everyone was dancing and having a good time. The line for the bathroom can get a bit long but, it usually moves pretty quickly. There are also video games in this area if that is your thing. If you need a break from all the action inside the patio is cozy with picnic tables and a foe grass covering. There is also a small stage out there that I have seen a band playing on once and an art market going on during SXSW. The garage area has a covering over the huge stage and an uncovered outdoor space. The sound is always perfect and there are bathrooms located in this area as well. Also, there is a food truck that has been open a few times since I have been coming here. You can easily grab a drink out here as well from their pop up bars. The New Year's eve event that I attended the year before last was one of the better parties that I have been to. Definitely an authentic Austin type experience away from all the glitzy overpriced events. I went to their crawfish boil, music tech mashup, day parties and the 2 short concert during SXSW. The daytime crawfish boil and day parties were a nice break from all the overrun touristy options that run rampant during this time of the year. The music tech mashup and 2 short concert were the highlights of my SXSW. During normal times of the year (not festival or private events) the music varies from hip hop to heavy metal and they also have Stand Up Empire (which I need to check out). I saw Badfish the Sublime tribute band here and it was one of the concert highlights of my year. One of my favorite things about this place is that their events are creative and unlike anything else happening in town. The staff is always extremely friendly and you can tell they care about their jobs and making sure everyone has a positive experience. If you are going to a ticketed show make sure you get them in advance because I have seen more well known acts sell out. It's also nice that the ticket pricing is very reasonable. The clientele that hangs out here is always friendly and pretty diverse in age. A solid place to spend a night and see a great band that you may or may not have heard of.

Angela M.

Yelp
*update - I emailed Groupon the situation and they refunded me my entire purchase so clearly there was false advertising going on here. Save your money next time folks and go to Stubbs instead* I wish I looked at other reviews before getting tickets here. We got a Groupon to see Ginuwine and on the Groupon as well as on their website it said show started at 8pm....no mention of anyone else going on before him. They had another show listed at 10pm for Jimmy eat world after party. Assumption made the Ginuwine show would be 2 hours...we showed up waited in the first line and then went to the second line to go to the outside area and saw a tiny flyer posted on the bar that Ginuwine wasn't playing until 11:45. There were multiple people very upset about this as we saw the realization hitting everyone's faces - this hot ass dusty outside venue with overpriced drinks was not somewhere we were going to stay for 2.5 hours so we were told we can leave and come back if our hand was stamped. We left and wandered around and got something to eat but...we swung by at 11:30 and it still looked sad in there so we just left, plus I was planning on us being done with the concert by this time so we could get our baby. The promoter sucked and it's almost false advertising and very shitty business practice to misrepresent your headliner like that. I am going to file a complaint with Groupon to not offer vouchers with this venue anymore. From other reviews it seems like this is a common practice for this establishment. I hope another business can open up here that is better soon!

Nikki M.

Yelp
Cool smaller venue where we had the pleasure of seeing Fleetmac Wood. Bar had lots of options and decent prices. Staff was friendly and we were able to get right up front for the show. Definitely not the coolest place temperature-wise on a hot day, but at least you'll sweat out anything you drink.

Alissa P.

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE! When I purchased my $120 table I knew it was an outdoor enclosed (tent) event. When I arrived I did not see any heaters out in 45 degree weather. 3 hours later it got even colder so I tried to go get another jacket from my car 1 block away but when I was about to leave they said they would not let me back in if I left. The cocktails had very little alcohol in them but charged as if it was a good drink. One of them tastes like sprite with extra lime. I recommend to drink before you come or get a Can of beer. Drinks are watered down.

James L.

Yelp
Sweet venue. Total Austin go to for EDM great national acts and up and coming. Great atmosphere and always cool people.

Jillian C.

Yelp
Pre-paid for tickets to a concert here and they forced us to pay $5 extra per person under 21. If I pay for a ticket to get into a concert that is labeled as "All Ages" then I should NOT be expected to pay even more at the door. Never going back. Inconsiderate and unnecessary. Doesn't matter if you're close to Sixth street or not.

Katie D.

Yelp
I've seen many concerts here and this place is one of my favourite smaller venues downtown. I love the two-stage setup, and most of the time when I've been here for a show, they take full advantage of that and will have one band playing indoors, and another playing outdoors. It's great to have the option of going to check out the other stage, maybe the vibe sucks outdoors or it's too hot to stay inside. The employees are also very friendly, even when they're super busy. They've got a sweet bar with tons of options. As someone who isn't really a big drinker anymore, the vape option they have (had? last time I went, it was out of order) is a nice alternative. And it's not overpriced and you definitely feel a buzz.

Yelp
This review is for the Govinda/ Rattle Tree concert on October 21 The good: great group of people. Staff, Bartenders and. Govinda/ Rattle Tree crowd in general. The Bad: The show time on the door stated 10pm for Rattle Tree. They didn't start until after 10:30. The Ugly: Just when Govinda took stage, the other concert on the stage next door let out and people came streaming out into our concert. Without paying for it either! The noise level rose so high you couldn't' hear Govinda. Apparently open hard drug use is allowed as well as a very young (underage) female walked up to me asking if her nose was dripping anything admitting she had just snorted cocaine! Needless to say, after what started out as an outstanding and relaxing night Out turned into a disaster leaving me pissed off to high heaven. Not even seeing my favorite Bands is worth going back here!

Cole D.

Yelp
Easily one of the most unprofessional, poorly-managed venues in the Austin area. Don't support them and don't waste your time and money, because they obviously don't know how to put together an event. The first show I attended here, security was nonexistent, and the entire crowd bum-rushed the stage, and it got much too rowdy with people being knocked over and such. Nobody could tell when the set was ending either, and the house lights just came on and they cut off the sound during the show. The second show I attended, the sound kept cutting out, and the soundbooth was LITERALLY empty. The artist (Woolymammoth) was only able to play about five songs before exiting the stage in frustration. Seriously, there was nobody around to help at all. I bought tickets to a show in September that was going to be rescheduled, and they ignored my emails, Instagram comments, and direct messages asking about a rescheduling for a few weeks before officially canceling the show. Now I've been waiting for over a week to hear back from Heard Entertainment for my refund.

Kyle M.

Yelp
Absolutely ZERO stars if I could! Showed up for a concert last night (VIP) and none of the staff had any idea where to tell us to go in at. 1 told us 1 gate and the other another. Just went in the regular line, still having no clue how to get up there so just started walking towards the front and following others. GA concert goer at the front would not let me through therefore I got frustrated and shoved my way through. Before I knew it security was throwing ME out for getting frustrated and did nothing to anyone else!! Security was a total asshole about everything and would not let me explain the situation. So basically lost my money I spent on VIP and my girlfriend didnt want to go by herself. Terrible ending to the night DO NOT go to this place for any kind of show!! Terrible staff, have no clue what they are doing or how to properly setup for a concert.

Yelp
Such a crappy set up. Paid a lot extra for a VIP ticket and what did it get me ? A cramped area which was drastically oversold and a worse view than the normal general admission. An understocked bar. What kind of bar has no tonic ? I have a better selection of drinks at home. Waste of money. Won't be back here. Nasty bathrooms. No AC. How on Earth does this absolute dump survive ? There's no parking. My recommendation is to park downtown and Uber. It's a very unsavoury area and as we were about to park nearby we saw multiple homeless checking out the cars. Not a safe area. Oh and last but not least, website, ticket and communication with the venue said doors at 7 show at 8. Well doors opened at 8, and it's currently 8.30 and no idea when the show is. Update: the show started just after 9. Only an hour late.

Yelp
I've been told that there are a lot of music artists in Austin. Thus, there are also a ton of live shows. I came here during my trip, not really knowing what to expect. If I recall correctly, there were two stage areas. One was smaller, had a more intimate vibe. The garage stage area was pretty cool and way bigger. I don't remember who performed the night I went, but it was definitely a good time. I also liked all the wall art all around the buildings. They also had some local vendors who were showing their wares and handmade items. I thought that was pretty cool, too.

Yelp
I have seen many bands in many venues in the middle of the summer in Austin. I have suffocated, suffered, gone thirsty, waited in long bathroom lines just to be completely disgusted by the facilities... I could go on and on. This place was a breath of fresh air....literally. It was really well ventilated for how many people were crammed in there that night. I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a drink and the bathrooms remained sanitary through out the night. The only gripe I could think of was that the door guys weren't very organized so it was a good wait to get in. But they were as sweet as they could be.

Yelp
Went to the Magic Giant concert this past weekend. Concert was stated to start at 7 pm. Got there at 6:30pm and then the rain started coming down while everyone was in line, no big deal since the doors are gonna open at 7pm right? Well, that wasn't the case! We stood there getting drenched as the rain came down more and more. No one even came out to acknowledge why there was a delay. At this point some people in line were starting to walk away. It wasn't until 7:20 when a lady came out to and handed out like 3-4 umbrellas to the people in the front of the line. We didn't get into the venue until around 7:40pm. An hour a Of standing in line while raining. Our tickets said concert and doors open at 7pm! The least they could have done was open the doors and at least let people stand in the bar area while they work on whatever delay/issue they had going on. Don't think I'll be coming back here! Concert performances were great tho.

Yelp
Put this review on Empire Control Room and Garage page, but evidently they sensor reviews because it's not showing up. Smh! Bought VIP tickets only to have our entire party of 15+ separated into two per table. The music was so loud we couldn't understand our server. If we leaned in to hear her she would jump back and start yelling rudely. (You could tell by her expressions and actions.) We had to order online and it was a tedious process, by the time we ordered and received our drinks we had already been at the venue 40 minutes! The server was spastic, rude and out of control to multiple people in our party. She jumped back when someone stepped closer to her and she dropped the entire order of drinks. The "manager" replaced most of the drinks however two people in our party never received their drinks. We had already paid for those drinks and explained to the manager that three drinks had not been received and he insisted they were received and would not refund our money. On top of that the only option to order and receive our drinks was to put in a preset gratuity starting at 18%! As if it wasn't a bad enough experience, the women's bathroom toilets were all inoperable. Our party left after only being there an hour.

Yelp
SMH IS RIGHT! If I could rate this venue properly it would be -0 stars! My heel broke off my shoe as soon as we got there. They staff yelled at me to get back to my seat when I tried to get up to leave to fix my shoe. As I tried to exit the venue and take an Uber to a store and purchase some superglue to fix my shoe, the door staff told me if I exited I could not come back in. We were there for my mother's birthday party. Which my mom purchased 16 VIP seats for $120 per seat. Two women in our party wanted to go with me to make sure I was safe walking around downtown. And again the doormen told them they would be able to enter in again either. So, I asked the two doormen "You want me to walk around downtown by myself?" (as I'm holding the bottom of my shoes in my hand) And without hesitation they replied, "Yes." I have never been talked, treated or disrespected more by anyone in my life! You people (the workers at this venue) disgust me!

Yelp
Went to see Symphony X at Empire Garage on June 4th. Let me say from the outset that the show was utterly amazing and the sound/mix was outstanding for a venue which is basically outdoors with a huge canvas looking tarp which covers the "standing room only" crowd. The max capacity is just over 1000 people. Based on that I estimate there were approx 800 in attendance. My only complaint is with regards to the beverage servers. Initially there were two servers working two lines which was good. I opened a tab and went back for round two, no problems. Then about halfway through the 3 hour show, they went down to one line and it was a long line. The female server had stopped serving but was still hanging out behind the counter. I asked her for another round and she told me to get in line. I asked her why she stopped serving and she mumbled something under her breath but grabbed a beer for me but instead of handing it to me and asking it to my tab, she handed it to her co-worker and pointed at me. I asked him for the beer and he told me "no" and told me to get in line.I got in line and eventually got up to the counter. I tried to voice my displeasure about having only one line with so many people waiting. He told me he wasn't going to argue and walked away. Other than that i has a great time.
