June, 2025: Empire Provisions loaded us up with a beautiful charcuterie board and a variety of delicious canapés for my husband's 60th backyard birthday bash! Your exceptional, professional AND friendly service made our gathering a hit - everyone commented on how tasty and "pretty" the snacks were. Great little shop with tasty sandwiches. Good variety, service was quick, and pricing was reasonable. Enjoyed our lunch here, we ate outside at the tables out front. Great if you want a quick lunch or grab&go. They also have a deli section.

We recently worked with Empire Provisions for an event and couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the very beginning, Karen was an absolute dream to work with. Quick to respond, collaborative, and incredibly accommodating with our custom menu. Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better. Our guests raved about the food! We can’t recommend them highly enough and are already looking forward to working with them again.

Absolutely delicious! The grilled cheese was to die for, and the iced mocha was great (they have Alternative milks like oat milk)! Great little place to grab a bite and get some work done, they have so many different things to buy and gift options. They also have some GF/DF options as well which is awesome! Highly recommend to anyone that’s look for a quick and delicious place to eat and hang out at while getting a coffee or a tea!

We used Empire Provisions now a few times and have meant to review sooner. The food and service is always amazing. This past party we used for the full meal and everyone had the most kind words about how great everything was. The charcuterie is always a classic, I have ordered several from them. We especially love how they label everything. But shrimp scampi appetizers was shocking delicious. The shrimp were not over cooked and the butter garlic sauce was amazing (we even soaked it up with bread). We had the chicken parm and lasagne for the mains with two salads. Everything offered satisfied everyone. The kale salad was finished completely had a hint of spice (in the panko croutons) and the beet salad and vinaigrette was light and delicious. The chicken parm was also deliciously seasoned and still quite juicy. Thanks so much to the team at Empire for making our evening so flawless and delicious.

The Cubano is amazing, fantastic ciabatta that's very soft. The meat is incredible, full of flavour. I had a side kale salad that honestly was a bit too small for $5. I would recommend the sandwiches here as it made up for the small side. Can't wait to try the others. Great selection of meats as well and very friendly staff.

If you’re looking for a great caterer for events, Empire Provisions is the one! Had Empire Provisions cater for a school club event and all the attendees loved the sandwiches, the boards, and the gluten-free crackers! Event planning is always a headache, especially when trying to find the right caterer that fits all your needs and fits your budget, but Karen really helped me out a ton. This place has a range of hand-picked foods suitable for social events. Very quick responses regarding inquiries and requests. Delivery also came on time! I would choose this place again! (Wish I had pictures to show)

An oasis of good food in the middle of suburbs I feel are badly in need of exactly what they're offering: lots of tasty, hard-to-find artisanal meats & cheeses, sausage, bacon, custom made sandwiches, and fantastic espresso bar. My single shot was perfect down to the exact amount of crema and smooth finish. Plenty more to boot, like a great selection of wines and various sauces, more than possible to take in on a single visit. I stopped by thinking it was simply a coffee/espresso bar but found much more. In talking to my family who are new to the area and are great cooks, I found they were already well aware and are making use of their services, including special orders for their work. This is a destination to seek out, not simply a neighborhood spot. I'd drive across the city to get what they're offering here. That good. Very highly recommended.

had the chicken parm and a cubano sandwiches for lunch. Parm was a little soggy, premade sandwich with sauce, sigh. The cubano had too much mustard but the fresh bun and other toppings took the sandwiches to a 4/5 They don't have a menu just the premade sandwiches and breakfast wraps etc.

Best lunch place in town hands down. This is exactly what I have been looking for, great variety of sandwiches, some soups, a daily feature that always looks super tasty, good coffee. Haven't tried brunch yet, but trust that I will! Oh and it's actually decently priced. Oh and they have a small deli section with some charcut, cheese and pastries. Places like this one are far too few in Calgary. I actually am trying to think of another one but none comes to mind. Sidewalk Citizen in Eau Claire has some good lunch options but it is usually very busy and hard to park. I come from Montreal where bistros and delis are in about every neighborhood. I moved here five years ago and finding a good spot to have lunch that is not a pub or a bar or an overpriced generic restaurant owned by a big group is really not that easy. Now please come open one in Mission!

The BEST chilli I have ever eaten. My fifth visit but first for chilli. Food and Service has always been AMAZING.

The best brunch!!! My first experience at Empire was so great that I dragged my boyfriend back the following weekend for more Eggs Benedict. The potatoes are scrumptious, the hollandaise is lemony and creamy, and their eggs are cooked to perfection. I also brought my boyfriend a piece of their homemade country pate. He was kind enough to share a little piece with me, but otherwise he devoured it in one sitting and asked for more. Karen and her team are awesome, and we're so happy to see a brunch spot further away from the core!

An amazing experience from a quaint little spot. Wonderful staff, open and cozy atmosphere, and amazing sandwiches. A must for weekend late lunchers.

I crave their beet sandwich, it's sooooo good. And the Turkey sandwich cannot be beat! And they have beer!

Great tasting reuben and the soup was very nice today. I will definitely be back when I need a sandwich and soup fix. The service was also very good.

Let me just start by saying I wish this place was in Edmonton. Their Brunch and sandwiches are great! I highly reccomend the muffaleta. The deli counter is great as well especially the house made salamis. Please go here, you wont regret it.

Craving a real deli sandwich now for a few days, I tried to find a good spot to get one in the Southwest. Not to be whiny, but we don't have much deli selection around here, but I checked the Google, and up popped Empire Deli, at Heritage and Elbow. Used to a German store a long time ago, but apparently I was missing something amazing that came as it's replacement. Empire has a wonderful selection of what we used to call cold cuts. They have beautiful selections of fresh meat, gorgeous cheeses and pastries. I also saw frozen broth of various kinds and frozen meat, sausages, and ready to pop in the oven dishes. This is all locally sourced meat and ingredients, home made condiments, etc. this is becoming increasingly important to me, and lots of my friends. I ordered a couple amazing Mufflettas to bring home. Truly spectacular! Empire has ample seating, and serves breakfast, brunch and lunch. I know it's a couple years since they set up in that funky old plaza, but I hope they keep doing what they are doing for a long time.

Muffuletta ...... that was the best sandwich I've had in a long time..... Definitely worth the stop.

What a gem! Tucked in the Haysboro Center. Had the mrs.crunch (their version of a Croque Madame), everything was delicious!

I found this wonderful little gem hidden away off Elbow Dr for brunch. It is a bit hard to find as their sign is hard to read and really doesn't tell you what it is. We had the weekend eggs benny, which was made with real hollandaise sauce and they were outstanding. We also shared the special waffle and it was amazing as well. Treat your self to a wonderful little hole in the wall for an amazing meal.

First impressions: cozy, nice and friendly place for a coffee or some food. We came here by recommendation of friends for brunch. We all ordered the "Stay Classy" breakfast dish. The homemade jam that came with it was amazing, I hope they start selling it soon. Food was very good, must order the bacon. Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

If you are looking for a hearty flavorful sandwich this eatery should be on the top of your list. There aren't many tables, but they do takeaway if that's an option for you. We were a party of three, all had different sandwiches and were satisfied! Sharing a cookie at the end was the perfect topper. Next time going to check out the sausage & deli counter. I think it would be a great place for charcuterie too. Staff was pleasant and service was speedy as well, definitely a new favorite!

Ask and ye shall receive... I was lamenting the lack of good sandwich options in yyc. Now I live a couple of blocks from this place and life is good. My favourite so far is the torta. Soooooo yum. Not just sandwiches though. Other tasty options for breakfast, lunch/dinner, also cured meats, cuts, excellent baked goods and delicious coffee!

What a great find! A must for those who love brunch and breakfast foods. Their bennies are wonderful, homemade hollandaise sauce is so delicious. We also tried their special waffle, with orange blueberry compote, it was fantastic. My only wish was that they had fresh squeezed OJ to complement the wonderful food for those of us who don't drink coffee.

Best sandwiches in the city by FAR!!! The features are ridiculous. You never know what you're in for. I've had not only the best burgers in my life here, but possibly the best ramen, definitely the best pho, dumplings, gnocchi, the list goes on. Worth checking their instagram to see what's featured that day. It never disappoints! Incredible food.

In addition to having delicious in-house meals, Empire does amazing catering. We have used their catering service for family birthdays and more recently, a funeral reception for over 50 guests. They delivered and set up everything beautifully, quickly and professionally (they also rent glasses, plates, etc) and the amount of food recommended was perfect. Totally low-maintenance process with very high quality food (really amazing charcuterie boards, etc). Absolutely would recommend them to anyone who has high standards but limited time! Truly helped make our events better!
