How Two Queer-Owned Restaurant Groups Are Thriving in Oklahoma | Eater

"Started in 2013 as a garage-like, hipster pizzeria decked with Freddie Mercury posters and vintage movie art, this New York–style slice shop became a buzzy local staple that expanded across the city (and later to Tulsa), cultivated loyal regulars, and even supported activist efforts by delivering free pizzas to demonstrators." - Matt Kirouac

Here visiting as a Tulsa Remote Guest (from Houston). Good pizza, chill vibe. Nothing to run back to though. Had the "roasted garlic" sauce which they told me was like their Alfredo sauce but could barely taste it. Lack of made the pizza taste dry.

Nice place, feels like in a New York pizza house. The pizza is very tasty, although the crust was a little bit soggy. We ordered the 20 inch. It is a lot of pizza for 2 people.

Just steps from the legendary Cain’s Ballroom, this pizza joint is the perfect companion to Tulsa’s thriving music scene. It’s funky, fresh, and full of personality—just like the neighborhood it calls home. The staff here is electric—welcoming every customer like a regular, whether you're a local or just passing through. There's no ego, no attitude—just good vibes and a clear passion for great food and happy customers. Got a custom order or an off-menu idea? They're down to make it happen with a smile. The pizza itself is a knockout—bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and crust that hits that perfect balance of crisp and chewy. Whether you're rolling in for lunch or grabbing a late-night bite after a show, this spot delivers every time. If you're in Tulsa, especially near Cain’s, skip the chains. Grab a slice (or a whole pie) here and enjoy a little taste of local flavor done right.

We went to Empire Pizza after the drillers ball game, and luckily there were really busy that night, yet the hostess some how managed to get us sat within 10-15minutes of waiting. We were sat in a corner by a friendly Soul named George, from Virginia, in Tulsa visiting a friend and going to the river the next day. We shared this amazing, friendly waitress named, Bailey, who took extra special care of Us, despite being SO BUSY. She really needs a raise for the service she provided. 10/10 her response to our question of what type of pizza would she be was perfect. Will definitely be back!! If you're looking for the atmosphere and a great pie, try this amazing Spot downtown!

Amazing service and great food. Went to Empire ahead of a show next door and the Empire team was short-staffed. Staff were upbeat and kind and within minutes had extra staff show up. Service was awesome and quick, despite the circumstances. I think they might be magical 😉 Special shout out to Bailey who is easily the best server we've ever had. This is our new go-to every time we're in Tulsa.
