Empire Smoke Shop

I've been going to this shop for several years now. I have a couple spots closer to home but I choose this shop. I always feel safe and welcomed here. The parking lot is slightly inconvenient to exit but nothing too annoying. Every staff member I've ever come into contact with has always been excellent. They carry quality screens, candles and my favorite Wildberry incense as well as a wide variety of glassware and other products. Highly recommended

The best disc golf shop and smoke shop around. Great selection and reasonable prices. 6 stars if I could give them that.

empire smoke shop is a great place in the san francisco bay area I've bought a handful of items and stop by usually when I'm driving by or near san leandro. New building has some great art in it also 🀄👍🏾🌉 🦅

Dropped in with my adult son one day, just to check it out. I was extremely impressed with the wide selection of quality products. Whether you smoke or are a disc golf enthusiast (I'm currently disc golf curious myself), you've gotta treat yourself to this spot. Looking forward to my next visit!

The owner of the shop is coo people Fr 🤙🏽 I come here for all my needs, fair prices and good variety of things to pick from. Been my main place I go to for a year at this point. Definitely recommend 💯

Making a little use of the recent law change, I was looking for a smoke shop to purchase some essential equipment. I read the reviews for the Empire Smoke Shop and was not disappointed. The guys were awesome, friendly and informative. The shop and displays hosts a great collection of equipment, all you will ever need and some more! The recommendation of Buddhas Pantry the next day was a finishing touch.

Came here for the first time. The gentleman that greeted me was verry friendly, the shop was nice and clean. I found what I needed quickly with his suggestion and it was a fair price as well. Will be a returning customer

Guy seemed nice enough but wow do they price gouge. Kratom here is twice as much as any other smoke shop around the san leandro/hayward area. I thought he was kidding when he told me the price. Definitely wont be back there.

I wish I can say more regarding Empire Smoke Shop but I was there to purchase incense candles. I was impress with the guy that was helping out the Customer with his questions. A plus for their employee's knowledge of the items. Location is nice and safe. Parking is good. Store is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. Support local business.

Definitely recommend this shop, I've been going here since 2012, the owner is a cool guy and Travis is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! They have a large selection and decent prices for high quality items.

My boyfriend & I stopped by this smoke shop for the first time yesterday. First impression: Nice, Clean store and friendly and welcoming service. I got a vape pen and my boyfriend purchased a bong. I wish I knew the employees name who helped us but he was so nice and very helpful. This will be my new go to spot. I've already told a few of my friends to check it out.

The gentlemen behind the counter was over knowledgeable. By the time I left I think I was prepared to take a test on functions of glass bongs and quarts nails. He was super hot too. Happened to be there when the owner walked in and I felt like I was in a adult movie of some sort like Magic Mike. I'll drive an extra hour jusy to get a pack of zig zags from these guys because they are the best. I'd never shop at another smoke shop ever again after the prices and services I received from these guys..... on top? That have honey that works so well on my 3rd member. It helped me boom boom suckie suckie all night and the Kava helped me get in the mood. If the guy with the long blonde hair reads this.... Call me. Oh I just left there too, and man the Disc Golf selection is the best selection I've ever seen and so close to the course I love to get super high and chuck frisbees at. I came in super baked today too and there were snacks there as well.

Appreciate the owner getting back to me but nobody was having a meal when I went in. The owner had no mask on and was talking with a customer who had his mask around his neck. It's just irresponsible. I was looking forward to buying some supplies from a local business, in my neighborhood, too.

This will always be my go-to smoke shop. Ya'll really have such a genuine & helpful dude behind the counter, he always answers all of my questions & gives great tips to make my PuffCo last as long as possible. I don't usually write reviews but it's well deserved, 10/10

These guys kick ass. Best smoke shop in the East Bay in my opinion. Friendly staff and great pricing. The shop itself is on the modest side in terms of size, but they make up for it by having a killer selection of choice glass pieces from respected companies. Joe will make sure you get a good price and I've never seen him in a bad mood:) 5 well-earned stars for Empire

WORST SMOKE SHOP. They sold me the wrong product, and when I went back 1 hour later to tell them -they said that they did not have the size that was requested nor could they give me a refund or another item of the same price. With all the options in this neighborhood why would anyone practice such shitty business etiquette?The manager also refused to speak with me, even though I had been a loyal customer for several months. Disgusting

So glad I discovered this shop so close to home. I was in dire need of an E-cig battery (recently lost two and had no backup). Travis and Fred were friendly, helpful and provided me with a replacement at a reasonable price. I especially appreciated that Travis carefully explained how to charge the new device and encouraged me to return if I needed further assistance.

The best smoke shop I have visited. I stopped by on a whim as I needed a new battery and was blown away by the service. If I could give a higher score I would. We all know that most smoke shops are very similar and the vibe comers fro the service. The was the best customer service I have experienced in any smoke shop. Patient, kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful are just a few of the adjectives to describe the service. While it is not the closest shop to my house, I will go out of the way for this type of service.

The first time I came to this smoke shop was about 3 months ago to buy a new pen battery and the guy was very nice and showed me options on what to buy. So I bought a battery and honestly I would give the shop a 5 star rating. But today I went to the shop again because I had issues with my battery and to see if a person could help me or I should buy a new one. But the person who was there was a 20 year old bearded man with two earrings. He was very rude claiming that he owned the shop and he told "I don't make these batteries, I only sell them" If has been the "owner" he would have answered in a humble and polite manner.

Just a great shop. Owner is extremely helpful and honest. The "go to" smoke shop. Blows away those larger shops in Berkeley and the city.

Just found this shop! Can't believe I passed by this place so many times and didn't realize it was there. They have the best glass in the area and the guy behind the counter is cool too.

Oh man! This place has some of the best & legit glass around. They had some super heady pieces there! They have a original pre-raid Signed Chong Bong which was cool. Everything was fair priced in my experience with other head smoke shops and the dude working was knowledgable. Overall this is my spot from now on!

I went here to pick up a bong and the guy who worked there (Joe I think) was helpful, friendly and funny. He worked with me about my price point and smoking needs and didn't try to upsell me. They're expanding to the store front next store soon, so they'll have even more inventory.

This is the best smoke shop i've been too, a great alternative to orbitz. His prices are the best, the pipes are all amazing, it's great being able to ask about almost ALL the products. I take all my friends into this shop. Stop by ask some questions, buy a pipe. Empire is here to stay. He regularly attends convetions with new pieces and if you catch him before he goes, he'll bring back anything you ask for at really good prices. Theres always sales and events and if your strapped for cash tell him and he'll hook you up with a good deal.

Went here today, met the owner Joe. Awesome guy, bought the G PRO 2.0 can't wait to test it out. He really cares and is extremely knowledgeable.

Been here a few times, probably dropped about $150+ at this place total on some overpriced pieces and various other things. The dude running the place is pretty standoffish/serious, kinda hostile vibe tbh. Last time I went I bought a vape pen and the dude sold it to me with no box or packaging or charger (I asked, he said it came like that), and it broke just a couple days later. Done giving this place my business. Products are overpriced, dude running it is lightweight hostile, electrics are shoddy and the guy clearly doesn't care about quality control. Think I'll drive the extra distance to another shop next time

So if you made it to my review, congratulations this is a rare Yelp moment for me as Im not really in the consumer conversation world much. However, I felt not only moved but impressed as much to do something that I rarely do-Internet commenting. With that being said -if you're on a quest for a variety of high quality paraphernalia goods, crafted by professional artisan vendors in the Bay Area and pieces all within the domestic footprint... STOP BY HERE ASAP. Or if you're just casually looking for a new cool, well made piece-Swing by here. I can't stress this enough by the way... this is not a paid testimonial. So, Just sampled two of the pieces so far and I love them!!!; my favorite is my new wooden pocket pinky pipe (sorry forgot the actual name,just go buy one)... anyway, it's the best thing ever; its wooden, size of a pinky, has a copper screen and folds open like a Swiss Army knife- going with me everywhere period! Second piece is a nice ceramic pipe a little longer with just beautiful deep blue and gold accents. Smooth pull... Last but not least is the glass water pipe which I'll enjoy over Netflix or cards or whatever later tonight... the makers of this piece are like Berkeley or SF, local. Badass design, strong glass, quality, quality, quality. I'm damn impressed, I'll never buy anywhere else again for any reason. Time for me to use the gear and get to work. By the way.... if you...Yes, YOU purchase top shelf product of any type leaf- you are wasting your experience using-probably cheap glass (Which I'm assuming because you're looking up reviews on yelp to find "that place that has that primo shit")... Stop by and talk with the owner he's cool, knowledgeable and laid back (not pushy at all). Oh and the prices are totally and relatively equivalent to any other cheap import glass store yet all his products are made Artisan. Make your next purchase here, you won't regret it and when your pleased buy me a beer down the road "symbolically" don't actually contact me. Peace

I am an older guy, and just wanted to get some pipe cleaner and screens for my little pipe I have had since the 60s. I know it's not that much money that I was spending, but they were very nice and helpful about it. The gentlemen with the beard is very rowdy and funny when you see him helping people who seem to know the lay of the land. It is an excellent smoke shop to keep your old pipe working, or to buy other smoking products. I would recommend this place to anyone

This is the best smoke shop in the area, and way better than the "big" smoke shops in Berkeley. This place has everything you need at great prices for the quality. It has so many items that not all smoke shops have and all of their products are quality made, not cheap glass bs. The staff is chill and they have a Facebook page which is constantly updated with specials and valuable info. Cannot find a bad thing about this place. HIGHLY recommended.
