6 Best NYC Christmas Markets Worth a Holiday Visit | Condé Nast Traveler

"Set in the lobby of Empire Stores in Dumbo—also home to Time Out Market and the Soho House outpost Dumbo House—this is FAD Market’s largest holiday outing this season, where on Saturdays and Sundays we browse 30-plus vendors for everything from bath and body care to home decor, alongside small-batch snacks like vegan chocolate and miso soup mix. Weekdays shift to a more low-key mini-market with a rotating group of 12 makers, making it easy to pop in for thoughtful gifts throughout the month." - Juliet Izon

Eat (and Shop) Your Way Through New York City’s Holiday Markets

"Each December weekend through the 21st, a rotating lineup of over 60 makers and creators gather at St. Paul in Cobble Hill (and also Boerum Hill and Dumbo) for the FADMarket, showcasing the best in fashion, art, and design. It’s nothing short of artisanal, with ceramics, skincare, and candles galore. But, the real gift is that shoppers can avoid the food-court core frenzy at the FADMarkets. Instead, guests can get their hands on interesting, off-the-beaten-path food products, like sesame-dusted Arabic cookies from Zeena Bakery or the Vermont-based health tonic, Wolfpeach." - Kayleigh Ruller

A Massive Food Hall With a Rooftop Is Coming to Dumbo Waterfront | Eater NY

"Made up of seven renovated 19th-century warehouses, Empire Stores has become a major driver in turning the Dumbo waterfront into a dining destination; I found that the complex currently houses several notable tenants and will host the new Time Out Market New York." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Empire Stores is such a vibrant and scenic spot! There’s a great variety of food options to choose from, whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a sit-down meal. The best part? The stunning view of the Brooklyn Bridge and the river—it’s the perfect place to grab a meal, relax, and take in the beauty of the city. A must-visit when in Brooklyn!

I ordered a sandwich, and it took 15-20 minutes! I looked into the kitchen and saw three women, who looked like students, preparing a sandwich. I waited on the street in the over 100-degree heat. The food wasn't bad! However, I wish the staff were more friendly and experienced.

A wonderful urban escape with tons of arts and style with cuisines from all over the globe. The views from the food court are amazing. Prices are decent and you get a 20% discount if you use Apple pay to pay on Saturday. Indoor dining space did seem a bit packed when I went (Sunday afternoon). My favorite exhibit was the Multiply 2019, which using a camera could move the tiles on the board as you moved. If in DUMBO, this is definitely a place to visit to grab food and enjoy amazing views. The architecture inside was also quite enjoyable.

A Dumbo Gem: Empire Stores Has It All! Empire Stores in Dumbo is hands down my favorite place in NYC, and I'm a lifelong New Yorker! This isn't just a shopping center; it's an experience. They've done an incredible job transforming a 19th-century brick warehouse into a vibrant, hip destination. You could easily spend hours here just wandering around and discovering hidden gems. The shops are fantastic, offering a great variety, and the restaurants are top-notch. But what truly sets Empire Stores apart is the rooftop beer garden with some of the most incredible views of the Manhattan skyline and bridges. It's the perfect spot to decompress from the city's hustle and bustle. I bring all my friends here when they visit – it's an amazing place to shop, eat, and just soak in the unique Dumbo atmosphere. If you're looking for a quintessential New York experience that blends history, great food, unique shopping, and breathtaking views, Empire Stores is a must-visit!

Came here today especially to see the new Tom Fruin glass house (available through May, 2019). The place offers great view of the city and the two bridges from the third and forth floors. I was only looking, didn’t buy anything so I can’t recommend any of the stores or restaurants. So my experience was completely free and wonderful, I highly recommend visiting.
