"Emporium Arcade Bar, a small chain of Chicago-born arcade bars co-founded by a Tulane grad, is opening a seventh location in New Orleans next month. The locations in Chicago, the Bay Area, and Vegas have drawn steady crowds of 20-somethings for its arcade games, pinball machines, skee-ball, pool tables, and more, in addition to an extensive selection of beer, wine, and cocktails." - Clair Lorell

This place is awesome and has great retro vibes! The games are all maintained and fully functional. They have everything from Skee ball to tons of pinball options, Area 51, Pool Tables, Cruis'n USA and more...! Another atmosphere thing that MUST be pointed out is the music selection, on point and I wish I had that playlist! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This barcade exists in an area of what I consider to be a "holy trifecta" of entertainment - you have this spot, the gothic dive bar Siberia next door, and the Allways Cabaret Lounge across the street for some exotic dancing. In terms of vibe, I really think this place reads like the Foot Clan Hideout from the first 90's live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie, which is exactly my kind of vibe. While the selection of games was really good, more than a few of them didn't work, and some didn't respond when I dropped the coins in to play. However, some of them were also set to free play, so I suppose it balances itself out. Area was also a little dicey, but other than that, it was a really cool spot, and there's great businesses to check out in the immediate area as well!

This past weekend I got married and held my wedding after party at Emporium. The entire night was even better than expected. Throughout the planning process, Thomas and Chandler were very attentive and answered any question I had and they responded to my emails so quickly. For the party they even created a frozen cocktail for us and everyone who attended couldn’t stop talking about how great our drink was. most of the night they played songs from the cure, joy division, and others that made our little group of misfits dance as hard as we could. all of the arcade cabinets were in top shape and everyone had a ball playing games all night. 10/10 experience. emporium is definitely THE place to have any event for geeks who like to party. thank you emporium! my guests keep saying it was the best wedding ever and it’s thanks to you guys!

Great place to chill and have some fun with your partner or with friends. The best part for me was the no smoking inside! The drinks were also pretty good. The bartender was friendly and offered great service.

Gotta be 21, ID ready .Fun place to have a party. Big open space. Pretty good selection of fun games. We went on a Monday for a little party , there was a service industry night special. A shot , a beer and some tokens in a bag . Totally fun night.

Google
Such a cute bar with so many fun retro arcade games and pinball machines. I placed 2 in horror movie trivia and the host was such a good vibe and very funny. Definitely going back when we are back in town.

Really chill place, we came a couple times on our last visit to New Orleans and loved playing some pool, pinball and skeeball. Full bar, lots of space, friendly vibes.

Great vibe in this arcade with a friendly staff. Plenty of classic arcade and pinball machines to enjoy. A fun New Orleans bar to check out.

Yelp
Emporium is a very cool little arcade bar. It's very spacious and has a nice beer list and a few cocktail and frozen daiquiri options. The bartender is a very nice guy, very personable and responsive, who was taking pride in curating a custom playlist for the evening as I came in. They have 4 pool tables, foosball, skee-ball, pinball, and several 80s, 90s, and 00's arcade games to sample, so I was in nostalgia heaven for a little while. I'd love to see them get food, but there's a ton of great options, including St Roch Market, and a few really top notch food trucks right outside their door, and they let you bring it inside, so it's fine. Word of advise for the old folks approaching 50 like myself: young people gather in droves around 10pm on Saturday and it begins to get raucous lol, not that that's a bad thing at all lol, it's just a bit much for me because of my age.

Yelp
This was a request by one of my friends to find a barcade. Lucky for him, we found one just outside downtown, but its a short rideshare to get to it. It used to be a warehouse and when you walk in, there are benches all in the middle and arcade games all along the walls. I was thrilled that they had Galaga available and I kicked ass in the game. Some of my friends played pool, while others played basketball and pinball machines. I was very pleased by what this place offered and cant wait to make another visit back.

Yelp
No food here but the service was great, music is diverse and loud . They have an arcade style setup with benched table tops. The AC works so good!! definitely a fun spot

Yelp
I hosted an event here this past weekend. First off I want to give a big thank you to Chandler for his support getting the event setup right. The next huge thank you goes to our first and best server during the event, Mickey. She was lovely and I enjoyed her talking about the books she is reading. Emporium is awesome. It is a relaxed spot with video games and alcohol. I mean what else do you really need. We had a table for folks to sit, but most people opted to stand around and talk. Although I did not drink beer, the folks at my event did and they were happy with the selection. I opted for some mixed drinks and they were well made by Mickey. They have a lot of classic arcade games like Mortal Kombat, Pac Man, Time Crisis 4, Fead the Dead, and others. Honestly, I would give even more stars if they had Dance Dance Revolution. They don't carry food, but you can bring food in from other spots which is what we did. The bathroom was clean and well kept up with but I was there early so who knows what it looks like later at night. Another positive is location. There are tons of other places around Emporium. I will gladly visit again and I can't wait to host another event here.

Yelp
Great place to play retro games like Ms Pacman, Street Fighter, Joust, Qbert, skeeball, pinball, etc. They also have pool tables there! We went recently to celebrate my nephew's birthday. They allow you to bring your own food (which was plenty). Plenty of tables there to host parties. Cool murals all around. The bar is nice and serves mixed drinks as well as beer. They specialize in craft beer and have quite a few different craft beers for you to try. The bartenders are all super chill and friendly! Come to Emporium for great arcade fun, craft beers, or to enjoy their live DJ's!

Yelp
Emporium is one of the most chill places to go! It's one of my favorite places to go for pre-gaming or have a fun time with friends or boo-thang There are so many wonderful restaurants and food trucks located around this location and you can bring it in! You will need an ID to get and you will need to purchase tokens to play the various arcade games. The bartenders are extremely friendly and encourage you to be a kid again while you engage in a good game of mortal kombat or foosball! I'm glad this place opened up when it did.

Yelp
I've been to the establishments in Chicago where the business originated I knew what to expect. While the expansion to New Orleans was a welcoming especially since it close to where I live, the implementation is disappointing. I'll start with the good. The beer list is legit and the bartender... while a bit aloof and kept disappeared in the the back, was nice enough. The games are affordable .25¢ per play. Music they play was fire! The bad is the games eat your quarters more than provide you with entertainment. The games and tables are sticky...nobody is wiping these down as needed. The frustration of going game to game with them gobbling up my tokens was annoying. And sticking to tables and machines wasnt fun especially when Covid is still a thing. And even if it wasn't. Clean ur SH@T. Lastly the bartender asked the managers for assistance but they chose ignore him and go out front to smoke instead of helping.

Yelp
staff is very rude and condescending. only go to this bar if you are a millennial that's not from nola bc that's exactly what the staff are.

Michael M.

Yelp
If you need a retro game fix this is a perfect option in the New Orleans area. I was surprised by some of the selection of games including Excite Bike, Aliens vs. Predator, Contra, NBA Jam, and Double Dragon to name a few. There was about 8 pinball machines all working and well maintained. In addition they have multiple pool tables and skee-ball machines. The staff were friendly and lots of selections from the bar including specialty cocktails and draft beers. You will need to purchase tokens, so I started off with $5 worth, which lasted at least an hour. It's a nice location in the St. Claude neighborhood too with lots of other bars in walking distance.

Yelp
Terrible management. Terrible safety. Terrible prices. Boring weak drinks. No food. Games don't work. You can tell no one wants to be there.

Kristen W.

Yelp
Went the day after they opened and many of the machines were already out of order and there aren't that many games to begin with. It has a corporate vibe that doesn't fit New Orleans, and especially not St Roch, might as well go to Dave and Busters.

Ju J.

Yelp
Came close to closing. They only have four full tables and it's a free-for-all so there's no a lot of timeslots. Two out of the three basketball machines were out of order along with the machines do not state how many coins are required for each play so it's a little deceiving Great fives as always and live DJ.

Yelp
I do enjoy the arcade games & the atmosphere of Emporium, this place would be nothing w/ out Kendyl. Her kindness, service & all around attitude towards her work is outstanding. I come in every shift she works as often as I can & can say she is the sweetest southern bean I've ever come across. I wouldn't be surprised to see her running that place in no time. Come for the games. Stay for the Kendyl.

Yelp
Guy Bartender was good and cool. He took care of Hubby, Business Partner and I . We had a good time .

Gabe R.

Yelp
I've heard nothing but bad things about what goes on here and management. Well I finally went in to see it myself. Emporium is tacky, dusty, and most games don't work. AND THEY JUST OPENED. How can it be? They do not wipe the tables or games down. Also the staff seems to hate it there. What's going on, it's an arcade. It's supposed to be a happy place. Prices are way too high for all that.

Yelp
My date and I came here because it looked like a chill spot to try. Now since I was driving I didn't drink ,so I cant give you a review on the drinks but the menu look pretty extensive. But I did use the restroom which was very clean on Men's and Women's side according to my date. Also dont let the photos fool you they didn't have a lot of games! The have one Street Fighter 2 and the tabletop machine in the corner is a sit down Ms.Pacman. The rest of the games are split between pinball and skeet/basketball or Machines I've never seen before. The three pool tables were nice and nice amount of playing room. The DJ was meh,his transition between songs or mixes were just uninspiring. At some point it just became white noise. Those picnic tables need to be wiped down more often, I didn't even sit down or leans against the tables. Change machine gives token not quaters and only one works. So all in all its a nice place just don't get your hopes up. It's lowkey and chill if that's what your look for you found it.

Yelp
A local at the art market recommended this spot to us. I'm surprised it has low reviews - because service was good and we had a blast. They have a ton of games - it's busy but still spacious, you'll always find something available to play. Security does not play - someone was misbehaving and security had them by the collar feet dangling and swiftly escorted them out. I would have never noticed had my partner not pointed it out. A+ for that. Drinks are good - great selection. The bartender was a little grumpy, but didn't affect our experience really. And the games are super affordable. We'd love to come back in our next visit to nawlins.

Yelp
Pretty cool bar for arcade, pool, and drink menu. Nice wall art and ambience. Could be good for private parties.

Maria L.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere here but more importantly the bartender Kendyl! On my visits from Philly to New Orleans I always have to stop in for the great hospitality she provides.

Samantha V.

Yelp
If I could leave no stars I would. We asked for a green tea shot and got a whole drink with ice. Okay fine closed out the tab and tipped more than 20% We went back up to the bar and asked for a Jager bomb I kid you not we got it WITH ice, to top it off she literally looked is dead in the eye and put two straws in the cup... haha baffled. We brought up the issue and she replied with "y'all don't have bar experience" mind you I've been bartending 7 years. She was blond with arm tats.. keep steer of her drinks cause it sure ain't one. To note we tipped her 20 bucks on the second messed up order despite it all. Moral story to the owner is get better bartenders. Besos

Yelp
Super fun place, amazing energy and the staff is great! Shout to Kendyl she is the absolute best! If you're ever in NOLA check this place out!
