18 Places to Eat and Drink in Old Town Fort Collins | Eater Denver

"At the swanky Elizabeth Hotel, the Emporium is an all-day cafe, bar, and restaurant featuring grab-and-go items as well as filling dinner plates. For now, it’s the unofficial town living room and a good place to meet or start the evening." - Josie Sexton

We have had two wonderful meals while staying here at the Perry Lane hotel. We enjoyed a delicious dinner with attentive and friendly service. The escargot and fried green tomatoes were our favorite! The next morning we enjoyed a lovely brunch with so many menu selections, depending on your taste. Hopefully, you are lucky enough to be seated at Eric’s (“Shorty”), table! He is so charming and attentive. He elevated what was already a wonderful experience. Trust me, you’ll be tempted to ask him to sit down and dine with your party. Natasha, the restaurant manager also came by to say hello and ensure we were enjoying our meal.

Visited Jan and Feb 2025. Went into this restaurant twice with reservations! We got Callie as our server both times, and the service was exceptional. Drinks were well made, and one off menu drink request (but was a dark and stormy) was made with no issues. Food options are great, and delicious. Just enough to not be too small, or a single plate too big to enjoy the other options. Quality ingredients, and a good balance of salt/sugar/spices. Will definitely suggest a reservation. We will be coming back to go again.

Eric aka Shorty was the BEST!!!! He was busy working between our table of 14 and another big party….he was on top of it! He made excellent suggestion such as the Beef Hash (which was delicious)! I also had the banana foster French toast and that was amazing! My husband had the omelette with ham. I definitely will come again when I’m in town.

We had a lovely breakfast at Emporium!! Eric was our server and he went above and beyond with his southern hospitality. The bananas foster French toast was incredible as was the biscuits and gravy. We can't wait to return on our next trip to Savannah!

Google
The food was great and the service was exceptional. I sat at the bar and Noah was extremely attentive to all of his customers. He helped make my birthday dinner memorable and I’m thankful for his kindness.

Google
Understandably fried chicken and grits are traditional southern dishes it was refreshing to see trout and vegetables on the menu. The happy hour menu has oyster shooters and shrimp for a $1. These bites along with their cocktails make this a happening bar scene. Recommended by the Ann Apartments hotel manager this place was well appointed with a plant wall separating the dining room from the bar. Given their popularity, reservations are suggested.

Came to eat here for brunch with the family. Food and service was amazing. The kids said “we didn’t like the food, we LOVED it”. Eric and the staff were incredible

Google
I had a great time! I ordered the All American Breakfast and my girlfriend ordered the Beef Cheek. The food was delicious. My server Eric was very welcoming and friendly.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time with our group today. Eric was a great waiter. the food and service was great

Yelp
Picturesque happy hour atmosphere with an active day time bar scene perfect to pair with the exciting zingy happy hour oysters. Their HH deals, staff, and indoor design was such a god send for a steamy weekend day. I loved the paper plane cocktail and much preferred it to their margarita. It's bitters was an excellent pair with the citrus and yummy liquor. Had I not already been 3 drinks in, I'd have easily downed a few more than I did. Their oysters are large portions with plenty of protein, good options for topping and tasted very fresh! The staff was very cool, music was fair, and had tvs available for casual sports fans. Their bar is very stacked and lit beautifully by the natural sunlight coming in from its ginormous window. 10/10 HH experience.

Yelp
This is not your typical menu, it's very unique in the best way! Everything is absolutely delicious!! I suggest starting with the escargot & then the beef cheeks! Great wine selection & creative specialty drinks in a very cool setting with fun servers. All around great dining experience!!

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed an amazing wine pairing dinner here. The decor is upscale and stylish. The service was friendly and attentive. But the food and wine stole the show. The chef's creations were so unique and flavorful. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
We had a great time at this beautiful restaurant located at the Perry Lane Hotel. Our server was super sweet and the food was delicious. I would recommend to head to the library or the rooftop after eating here to continue enjoying this beautiful hotel.

Yelp
Ate at the Emporium due to staying at the hotel. Ordered the Steak Frites and the Cheeseburger. Steak Frites was a unique take and was passable but had some overpowering flavored on the potatoes or the chimichurri. Steak was cooked and season well on its own though. Cheeseburger was cooked well but the bun reminded us of McDonald's and was not memorable. Fries were decent. Portions overall were huge. The service left a lot to be desired. Happy hour is only served at the bar, which is fine. It took 13-15 minutes to get a coke and take our order. It seemed as though the FOH was understaffed with only one, maybe two servers for a nearly full dining room. Also, the restaurant also charges a 3% back of house charge plus tax which was not advertised on any menu. Food: still left some to be desired for a $26 burger and $40 steak dish. Service: nice staff but poorly staffed and included unexpected charges. Ambience: decent UPDATE: Breakfast was much better. The mushroom omelet and French toast were worth getting and the e service was pretty good. DO NOT ORDER THE $23 BISCUITS AND GRAVY. It ended up being cold, not even lukewarm. Luckily they supplemented the omelet instead. We were staying at the hotel so it was included in our rate but we were happy the breakfast was better, improving to a 3 (instead of a 2)

Yelp
While staying at The Perry Lane we had brunch here- Eric was our server and was fantastic! He made sure our girls were taken care of and my coffee never empty, something I really appreciated since we had a long night of traveling with delays

Yelp
Food and services was awesome ! Eric/Shorty was amazing . He is so kind and attentive. This restaurant is so very lucky to have him working here. He's very knowledgeable about everything. Food was brought out quick and delicious. Our coffee cups were never empty . We will be back tomorrow! Visiting from Texas !

Yelp
The restaurant itself is beautiful. Lots of pretty greenery all around. Their menu changes seasonally so keep in mind with that. I got the fried chicken and it was cooked wonderfully. It was nice and crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. The whipped potatoes that came with it was melt in your mouth! They also have a wonderful selection of drinks!

Yelp
Loved the ambiance--it has a great vibe! The service was fairly good, but the food was absolutely amazing. The truffle fries, avocado toast, club sandwich, and waffles were just a few highlights from the delicious brunch menu. Plus, it's extremely vegan-friendly! 100% recommended!

Yelp
What a gorgeous brunch restaurant! The Emporium is located in the Perry Lane Hotel. I made a reservation on Open Table the day before, although I don't think we would have needed one for brunch. The dining room was quiet with only a few other tables. Our server greeted us quickly and was very efficient. We ordered coffees and waters only to drink. For brunch, I enjoyed the avocado toast with a side of potatoes. The toast was beautifully plated and perfectly ripe. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. Everything was excellent!

Yelp
Excellent food and service. I'm not one to eat multiple meals at the same place but this was exceptional. Eric went out of his way to give our kids activities to do at the table - food was out so fast and everything was delicious. Beautiful restaurant but also family friendly and willing to make accommodations for the kids. Would definitely go back when we are in Savannah again!

John S.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast! Ordered the All American Breakfast with eggs scrambled, ham, and grits. All excellent! The waiter Eric "Shorty" was very attentive and we give him an A+!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, beautiful and delicious meal, and superb service. Stopped by on a walk for brunch had the Brie with apples and avocado toast. Great experience. They were fully booked for brunch but there is seating, tables, next to bar and main dining that reservations aren't required for.

Yelp
Great ambience and landing spot for those staying in the Perry Lane hotel. This is a breakfast, lunch and dinner spot with a great bar tender! Our server Brian gave us great dinner service, and recommendations for our first time in Savannah. a must try!!!

Yelp
Went in for Happy Hour, with great prices and an upscale-ish atmosphere, I was very pleased. The service was excellent, I sat at the bar since I was alone, and it was just before the rush, sort of a calm vibe. The oysters were great especially paired with the delicious Sancerre I was sipping on. The wine list is extensive and I'd love to go back again for dinner, soon.
google avatar

Debra M.

Yelp
If I had realized that this is attached to a hotel, I would have definitely skipped it because, in my experience, that usually means poor quality and too-high prices. The food was a huge disappointment, especially the hockey puck "biscuit" that was completely inedible (a sacrilege in the south), but the service was even worse...I mean truly the worst. Ugh.
google avatar

Yelp
Emporium is a great spot for drinks! Parking is either with the hotel (more expensive) or if you can find street parking. We ordered an espresso martini which was incredible! The best espresso martini we had ever had! We also ordered a "not quite cosmo" which was very fresh and fun! Our bartender was absolutely incredible and knowledgeable! We did end up getting the crème brûlée and it looked beautiful, but it wasn't the classic warm crust which was a shame. Overall the service and drinks were a 10/10, it's the parking and food that I took the one point off for!

Rhia C.

Yelp
Enjoyed a delicious salmon toast for lunch. Truly a must-try! Kudos to Jaira for the exemplary service. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Comforting dinner after a long day of driving. Onion Soup, Baked Brie, and Steak & Frites. A little pricier than we had in mind, but delicious nonetheless. Our waitress Casey/Cassie was awesome and obliged my youngest son by bringing him more herbed butter for his steak. It was so good!
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Food was absolutely incredible. I normally wouldn't willingly reserve a table at a hotel's restaurant, as it seems like a last resort for tired travelers. But as a Savannah local, this restaurant is one of the best meals I have had here! The service was exceptional. Every single thing we had was delicious, from the bourbon drinks to the side of carrots. My husband and I talked about the carrots for 10 minutes, trying to figure out if we could make them at home. Long story short, we are just going to come back and order them again!

Tc Y.

Yelp
Again, $18 cocktails ensured we only had one and left feeling like we just got taken as tourists. $12-$14 cocktails and we would have had two or three and left feeling like we got a a fair deal and would come back. And the restaurant would have even made more money and got a better review. Too many restaurants do this to their own detriment.

Yelp
As Beloved and I were staying at the Perry Lane Hotel so we decided to have lunch at their Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market. Just like the hotel, the service is top-notch and professional. I went for their Lobster Croque along with the additional $20 of caviar. The lobster was perfectly done cold water, sweet and tasty with the béchamel and gruyere blending in as perfect enhancements. Beloved had their Emporium Burger which was not at all the typical burger as it came spice encrusted with a garlic curry and sweet-tasting roasted red peppers. It was totally delicious. Then later for dinner, we both had their Lobster Pasta which was of a perfectly done, sweet, and delicious cold-water lobster with an uncredible-tasting yellow chili cream sauce. Totally delicious. Definitely five stars.

Yelp
Many thanks to Eric!!! Made our trip even more special! Our first trip to Savannah and we look forward to returning!

Emily J.

Yelp
Shorty went over and beyond to take good care of us & it is obvious that he delivers the same excellent service no matter who he is taking care of. He is truly one a kind! He turned a casual lunch stop in to a memorable experience!

Andrea R.

Yelp
Always a great experience! Good food, good atmosphere, and gluten free options. That is a blessing for a Celiac, one of the reasons we always head there instead of chancing somewhere else!

Yelp
Stayed at The Perry Lane Hotel and had breakfast here every morning during our stay (as Bon Voyage customers, we were allotted meal vouchers to that covered our meals). Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The customer service, the professionalism, the food options, the decor. You can't go wrong coming here. My favorite options were the salmon omelette and the hash, so yummy.

Yelp
The ambulance is amazing. Super laid back and quiet. The service felt rushed but we did get there close to closing. The food was good.
google avatar

Myra S.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and $12 bread. I ordered the lobster pasta and although it had a heavy musturd taste I ate it all, lol. You are not able to order it without mustard. Not a fan of mustard. Waiter was very kind but service was slow. 02/24

Rose S.

Yelp
This place was perfect for a vacation night out! We had Cali as our server and she was so kind and knowledgeable for our meal. If you have to get anything, get the French onion soup, it's was genuinely the best we have ever had. Overall great service, wine, and food.
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
Update - had the brunch here the next day. The eggs Benedict with pork belly was *chef's kiss*. The breakfast potatoes were flavorful and crunchy. Very happy with this place!

Jill D.

Yelp
Friendly staff but dinner was underwhelming. Croutons on Caesar salad were stale, dessert of lava cake was not good at all and "fresh" decaf coffee was bitter. Would not recommend.

Michael morrison M.

Yelp
Everything. Bar crew Amazing downstairs . Food never disappoints Me Dining room a little Noisy so always sit In the bar

Heather E.

Yelp
The wine and escargot were amazing. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The only steak on the menu is a strip steak and it's priced at 70 dollars. I ordered my steak medium temperature thinking that I'd never had a strip undercooked, it's usually overcooked. My steak came to the table so rare it was purple. I asked for it to be refired. It came back a mere 5 minutes later the same...the side dishes and wine were great. Staff was also great. 70 dollars for a strip steak that the chef couldn't figure out? No thank you!

Yelp
Food: great drinks and food! The corn pancake is a savory meal (which the server provided a heads up on) and on the heavy side given the queso and creama. Service: We came on Friday morning for brunch. We had 10 girls for a bachelorette and were able to make reservations in advance. Service was great! Ambiance: Sooo cute! The ambiance was such a vibe with lots of plants everywhere. I'd definitely recommend coming here!

Yelp
I would need to give this place a big thumbs up. Our apps, escargot and the French onion soup were great. If you like cheese with the pinion soup you found the spot. Slightly salty but otherwise good. Our mains were Trout and Flounder. OMG, they were both amazing. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. Oops, almost forgot the drinks. They two were great. A definite return choice for us the next time in town

Meg L.

Yelp
Went for brunch.Took us forever to order because there were so many good things on the menu. Ultimately landed on the Benedict and bananas foster french toast. Both were very good and large portions (we honestly could have split just one dish). The grits left a little to be desired, but they weren't terrible. Service was impeccable - the manager (assuming he was) brought us a complimentary scone to split while we were waiting which was very good. If you like a craft coffee try to come prior to noon as that is when the attached coffee shop closes. The staff offered to make us a drink anyway, but we didn't want to be difficult so we passed. The atmosphere is wonderful a little moody vibe, clean and comfortable. Would absolutely go back!

Yelp
Everything was perfect. Came for brunch the day before Christmas. It had the hustle and energy of a New York diner and the food profile of the South. We loved the atmosphere and the food, especially the Eggs Benedict, grits were very good and so we're the omelets. I'd definately try dinner here too!
google avatar

Yelp
We arrived in Savannah earlier than anticipated and started calling at 5pm for a 5 person dinner reservations for this evening. The Emporium Kitchen was able to accommodate us at 7:30pm. Very pleasant service and the Skirt Steak, Flounder, Gourmet Burger, and Ratatouille paired with wine and dessert were delicious. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Anastasia W.

Yelp
I loved this place so much I came here twice in a week! The atmosphere is so beautiful and peaceful it's perfection! The staff was so friendly and helpful everything about this place is just amazing! We got the cheese board and the bread for starters and it was amazing and for dinner we shared the Gnocchi which was sooo cheesy it was amazing!! Highly recommend this place!

Mike D.

Yelp
Wow. The Emporium was more contemporarily decorated than we expected ( thought it's Savannah so old plantation must be the norm....nope.) Again, don't make up your mind just based on the menu. It doesn't sound like a great meal - kinda so so. We ordered the beet salad, NY steak and squash. No the descriptions do not do justice to the meal. The NY was covered in brown gravy with capers- simply delicious. A great surprise for the palette. The beet salad was nothing like we have ordered a hundred times. the beets were delicious but not sweet. They sat in a tart cream sauce that was a terrific compliment. Nuts, strawberries and herbs completes the composition. The squash were slices of butternut squash topped with pumpkin seeds, celery, nuts and a touch of flavorful wonder. Wow.

Yelp
Either I'm getting old or ... no, that's not it! I didn't have a good time here. It's BIG, cold, noisy, not a warm environment. Although the very very nice manager tried to set things right a few times, I did not appreciate the service when spending this much $ on dinner. $60 for a steak, it was ok, not great, but it took 15 minutes (and me finally getting up and looking for our waitress) to get some sauce on the side as it came with none. The salad was delicious, taught me the importance of crispy shallots, worth the $14 price. Lots of lgbs kissing and showing off (which is fine but not when you're waiting waiting waiting for stuff and that's all there is to look at while trying to see your waiter somewhere in the distance) The young waitress didn't seem to have worked in a high end restaurant, she would fit better in a diner. Could not find her several times, no water, no inquiring if we needed anything. I would not go back. Felt like I really missed an opportunity to taste a real Savannah restaurant.

Jan L.

Yelp
Five star service, food and cocktails all the way!! Cali, Jess and Chef are the best in the city!! If you want a wonderful night out this is the place to go!
google avatar

Fernando S.

Yelp
Stopes by here for happy hour while visiting Savanah. They have HH from 4-7 M-F. $1.50 oysters and shrimp. Cocktails under $10 as well. The staff is very friendly and the bar is very nice and modern. There's a full restaurant as well that we did not get to check out but will next time. The food looked very good.
google avatar

Kyle P.

Yelp
This place has a luxury yet swanky vibe with a purposefuly curated menu. I decided to go with The Burger with Fries and a French Onion soup because who doesn't love a solid soup. The chefs hand must have been touched by god because the way the burger just melted in my mouth paired with perfectly seasoned garlic fries exceed ALL of my expectations. The service was prompt but not annoying.
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
As we were walking around, we were looking for brunch spots and came across Emporium. They had a lot of seating available. It was 9:30 AM on a Saturday. The ambiance was so cute and cozy. It was filled with plants. Our waiter was super nice. The menu was so easy to understand. There were so many great options. All the food was amazing! It was all gone. When we visit Savannah again, we will definitely have brunch here and try dinner.
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
Above and beyond!! We ended up getting a meal we did not order. Our appetizer was what should have come out and a short rib dinner came out instead. Now, I'm not complaining about the extra food by no means but we came for an appetizer and 1 meal. When we explained what happened to the manager. She had our original meal boxed up. Then she took off the meal we did not order and gave us a discount on the remainder. We were totally not expecting this at all, but it just goes to show customer service is not dead. Can't wait for the new menu to come out Oct 21st we have always enjoyed the setting of this restaurant and the roof top bar.
google avatar

Jenny S.

Yelp
We were so lucky The Emporium was so conveniently located inside our hotel The Perry Lane!! We dined here for breakfast both days we were in Savannah & also tried dinner our first night We enjoyed dinner much more than the brunch menu ---steamed mussels: delicious and I don't usually care for mussels ---market catch: perfectly cooked fish over flavorful pirlou --garganelli: yummy veal cheeks with pasta --Avocado blt/short rib grilled cheese: sandwiches we had for brunch, pretty standard --roasted tomato soup: definitely not one of my favorites I would definitely come again if we stayed in Savannah as we loved our time at The Perry Lane hotel

Yelp
Every time I'm in Savannah, I at least either eat breakfast or dinner here The drinks are creative and one of my favorites is surprisingly the butter lettuce salad. It is so awesome. Thank you!!!
