En Bruto - Review - Chueca - Madrid - The Infatuation
"Breakfast at En Bruto—a food market, all-day coffee shop, and science food lab in one—is more of an experience than a basic meal. You’ll dine in the indoor courtyard surrounded by several kitchens, food carts, and prep/workshop spaces, and watch breadmakers knead sourdough bread in one kitchen, catch someone whip up fluffy pancakes with bacon on a grill in another, or see a mixology or kombucha fermentation workshop in action. Place your order at the coffee shop, pick your spot to sit, and wait for them to bring your food to you. You’ll find the usual breakfast suspects, plus poke bowls, greens, and specialty coffee, but plan on getting one of the most elaborate avocado toast in the city, topped with cherry tomatoes, olive oil, pecorino cheese, and pickled radishes and onions. And heads up, no laptops allowed—this space is for socializing, relaxing, and eating." - Lori Zaino
