Encantada Tulum

We visited Encantada for our honeymoon and had the most incredible time. The staff were so kind and attentive, the beach was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the service was top notch. We also did a few excursions through the hotel and absolutely loved our guides! We felt so special throughout our stay and definitely hope to be back in the future. ||Also, something to note is that June in Mexico is often sargassum season where there is a lot of seaweed coming up to the beach. However, Encantada had absolute kings out there cleaning it up each day which we were so grateful for. Truly incredible service all around. Would recommend Encantada to anyone coming to Tulum!

We loved this quiet destination in Tulum. Our room "Cielo" was fabulous with a great veranda and views of the beach. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We made good use of the bikes that they had available for heading out to lunch etc.|Unfortunately, we did not have great weather- apparently there was a hurricane brewing in the pacific- we could not go in the water and the seaweed bloom prevented us from taking long walks on the beach. We were told the seaweed dies down in June- be sure to check that out.|We still had a very relaxing time and ate great food. We felt very well cared for at Encantada Tulum.

My wife and I spent a few days at this amazing hotel in Tulum, and it was everything we hoped for—and more. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. Everyone we encountered was kind, warm, and incredibly attentive. You can tell the team here truly cares about their guests and goes the extra mile to make your stay special. The hotel itself is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The atmosphere is peaceful, the design is stunning, and everything feels thoughtfully curated for comfort. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and just steps away from the beach—which made waking up each morning even more magical. One of the highlights of our trip was a surprise I had planned for my wife’s birthday. I asked the staff if they could help me do something special, and while we were out for the day, they beautifully decorated our room. When we returned, my wife was genuinely surprised and touched—it was such a thoughtful gesture that made her birthday unforgettable. Although it was seaweed season during our visit, we were really impressed by how hard the staff worked every day to keep the beach clean. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining the property and creating the best experience possible, even when nature has other plans. While we were out in the evening, the staff went above and beyond by not only tidying up the room but also organizing our belongings—something that’s rare to see in hotels outside of the standard daytime housekeeping. This trip gave us the break we truly needed, and we are feeling refreshed and incredibly grateful. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with top-tier customer service and the kindest staff, this is the place. We’re already talking about when we can come back.

We had a fantastic vacation at Encantada. The facilities and location are perfect, but the service was the true highlight. Our waiter for the week, Ricardo, went above and beyond to make us feel at home and tended to our every request. The staff at the front desk were always efficient and splendid. We also loved how quiet and relaxing it is compared to most places in Tulum. We would stay here again without a doubt.

My partner and I stayed at Encantada Tulum for 6 nights (April 29–May 6) to celebrate our anniversary, and it was honestly the most memorable hotel experience we’ve ever had. The team reached out weeks in advance to help us prepare for our trip, and once we arrived, everything was seamless — including our round-trip SUV airport transfer arranged through the hotel.||We stayed in the Arena Room, located directly on the beach. It was beautifully prepared with rose petals, prosecco, and a heart-shaped anniversary setup. The view from our deck was unreal, and all you could hear at night was the sound of waves — no crowds, no noise, just peace. The bed was a California King, AC worked well, and the room was cleaned daily (or on request).||We loved the breakfasts — especially the banana bread with yogurt, and lemon juice shots delivered every morning. You could even enjoy it right on the beach or your private deck. Their WhatsApp concierge service was truly next-level. We asked for everything from drinks and restaurant bookings to help with taxis, and always got replies within minutes.||One hiccup with traffic during a taxi ride was handled so kindly by Liz, our incredible concierge, who went out of her way to make us feel cared for, even surprising us with daily desserts and small floral touches in the room after that. She made a huge difference in our trip — we’ll never forget her kindness.||Encantada is perfect for couples, honeymooners, or anyone wanting a romantic, boutique beachfront escape with privacy and impeccable service.

This was our first visit to Tulum and it was absolutely fantastic. The Encantada property is absolutely stunning, traditional setting in a tropical location with best views from the rooms on to the beach. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and thank you Liz with helping us arranging our future travel plans. My husband & I just returned from 6 nights at Encantada. We had a really nice time. I do recommend this hotel absolutely. Rooms - The rooms are clean and beautiful with incredibly comfortable beds and a lot of storage space. It can be very noisy as early as 7am with street traffic, septic truck pumps, kitchen noises, etc. The included breakfast was perfect. Service - The staff are warm, lovely and helpful. They were all very kind and always smiling. We did sometimes feel pressure to tip for every small thing (like coffee refills) on top of added service charges and were often reminded that service charge is not a tip. Location - In south Tulum, we were very happy that this was not part of the noisy restaurant strip. There were always beach chairs available and the beach is beautiful here. There is a convenience store just up the road with coffee, drinks and water we used often! Walks to busier dinner restaurants were about 15-20 minutes. We also used the pool across the street at Radhoo when the beach was too windy. All in all, a really great choice for hotel.

My fiancé and I came down to scope out their sister property as our wedding venue together. The staff at encantada were super kind and attentive. We got a premium white lotus experience. :) comfortable beds, helping us get to anywhere we want to go, giving us great food recommendations in the area. We felt very taken care of for our whole stay.

Please DON'T come for peaceful romantic honeymoon. No sleep no peace no rest paid money for horrible memories of my honeymoon, so tired Cried myself to sleep. Encantada ruined my honeymoon in our opinion save yourself, the hurt and disappointment and terrible memories don't do it

La Encantada was an encanto from beginning to end. The staff were all so welcoming and attentive. On our second day there it was my birthday and came back to room decorated with balloons and a cake made of towels. Everyday they would go do housekeeping, but also turndown the beds at night. A special treat was left every night (mini croissants, macaroons, etc). Our transportation from the hotel to the airport left at 7am, before breakfast was available. Becky organized for sandwiches to be made for us to take and eat on our way to the airport. This was above and beyond for me. I also appreciated the calm and quietness of the hotel.

We loved staying here. The views were phenomenal and the food was five star quality. We had a wonderful time and loved celebrating my partner's birthday here. I set up a private dinner for him and we had our own personal waiter. The only downside was that the AC wasn't very powerful, and it couldn't keep up with the humidity of Tulum, so it was hard to rest at night and keep cool. I would suggest adding a secondary AC unit to each room. Other than that, the service was excellent and we loved how private it was.

Tulum offers many hotels and a majority of them have great pictures and reviews. Choosing a right hotel for your vacation, honeymoon, trip with friends is always a big task. Encantada hotel is absolutely on top of everything. This is a hotel where they make you feel like you are in family :) First of all the service is top notch, from the concierge, through bartenders and all the people that work there. They only have eight rooms nicely secluded with beautiful view on the ocean, some of them have garden view only, but you get to choose your own when booking. Our host Eloisa (pardon me if I misspelled :)) was fantastic, we got our welcome drinks and she informed us about anything we wanted to know. When you stay at Encantada you get an option to choose your experience and options are: Mezcal tasting, Massage, Cooking class with a chef from their Nu Restaurant. As e person who love to cook we obviously have taken a third option and the time spent with chef Rafa was absolutely terrific and we had a great time, then you get to eat the delicious food you had prepared. The room itself is gorgeous. I must tell you that looking on the photos from reviews does not justify how great it really is!! The bed is so comfortable and when you wake up you see beautiful view in front of your eyes. room is very spacious, shower is great (they use natural ingredients in shampoo, conditioner and shower gel) and when you use the mirror you can see reflection of the jungle and ocean, remarkably designed I must say.Every room has a table with chairs outside to enjoy your coffee or drinks and a hammock to relax. When you stroll down the beach Encantada has a private setting with day beds and umbrellas to lay down and let go of your worries. You can also walk from the hotel to visit other hotels and restaurants and its just minutes away. Remember that Encantada has its own NU Restaurant where chef Cessar takes you to delicious and enticing journey through his culinary vision. It is definitely a must and it is just across the street. You can simply arrange reservation with front desk or make it on Open Table app. Breakfast in the hotel is included and you have a variety of choices to meet your needs. Where you want to it it is your choice, you can have it at your room, at your deck, beach or a beach deck :) For afternoon or evening they offer a menu of food, delicious drinks and beer. We loved coming back to the hotel where the lights around the rooms where lit giving this place a romantic ambiance. They take an utmost care of the place, room decks are swept from the sand, the sand itself is raked every morning, drinking water in the room is filled, every detail is taken care of. All the people working there are awesome adding an extra dimension to what a hotel should be. This is definitely the place that will leave you happy and satisfied. If you want a romantic getaway with your S.O. or a relaxing time away with friends this is the perfect place to stay! Let me start with the staff - they were so wonderful, took care of all of my questions/concerns before the trip and made the trip super magical while we were there. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a private dinner on the beach one night and they made it absolutely beautiful, also the food they served was gorgeous and so freaking delicious! We stayed in the beachfront upper. All the rooms are the exact same on the inside so you won't go wrong with any but the beachfront upper was something else!! It was absolutely incredible, waking up to the view of the ocean overlooking from the balcony was unbeatable. The food and drinks were amazing!!!! Breakfast was included and they had so many options, they also offered different coffees, drinks and fresh juices. The private beach was so relaxing. The 20 minute massages included on the beach were also heaven. Honestly one of the best places we've ever stayed. We are definitely coming back. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Encantada for making this trip exceed any and all expectations!!

Encantada is a truly special place, with a unique atmosphere and exceptional staff, that is unlike anything we've experienced before. To start, we have to give a big thank you to the wonderful staff who were so friendly and warm, making us feel like we were staying with family. Becky, Ricardo, JP, Anna, Efren and the many others! Efren gets a special shoutout for the friendship he so easily creates and energy he shares in every conversation. It was fun to have the opportunity to chat with him almost every day of our trip and get to know him. The atmosphere of Encantada is very relaxed and peaceful, a true paradise. I think the lack of tv's, pool, etc. are good things and really set the vibe for the experience. The small amount of rooms mean the grounds quiet and private. The rooms feel more like studio apartments than "hotel rooms" and have very comfortable beds. Their food is amazing and their included breakfast is incredible! Each dish was excellent and the portions were more than enough. We were perfectly content eating most of our meals there. Encantada really tries to create an experience and that includes their partnerships and recommended activities. We did a tour of the Tulum ruins and a cenote with Oscar from Primitive Expeditions. This was hands down one of the best experiences we've had! The day with Oscar was so much more than a tour. You could really feel how much he cared and we are very thankful that he was our guide and for the experience he created. There is no doubt that we would stay at Encantada again and we'd recommend it to anyone. In all honesty, our experience at Encantada was so enjoyable and special that we'd never stay anywhere else. To the management: please make sure you change this to "Hotel Encantada" instead of "Encantada." You are losing so much visibility by not popping up under hotels in a yelp search in Tulum! Maria, Javier, Carlos and Alfredo- thank you for the superior service from the second we arrived to the moment we left. You took care of our every need and the majority of the time it was before we even made a request. Customer service is the biggest determinant of how a stay will be and your impression on us at the outset was a great indicator of what our 4 days would be like. For potential visitors, Hotel Encantada is head and shoulders above its neighbors in Tulum! Here's why: - it is towards the end of the strip and because of that much less crowded and excellent access to the better parts of the beach -8 villas. No children under 12. So essentially no more than 16 people ever in the immediate area. Always plenty of comfortable beach lounges. Never too many people to overwhelm the staff and concierge etc. Its quiet, intimate, and incredibly relaxing. - You are less than 25 steps to the beach no mater which villa you are in and all but two villas have a direct ocean view. - Breakfast included and the options are fantastic in addition to the complimentary bread, fresh squeezed juice, coffee, and fruit bowl. - the food is AMAZING. Breakfast lunch or dinner-- we were never let down. Ever. My wife was beyond surprised. Fantastic cocktails as well! - the villas are spacious, CLEAN, have fresh water jugs, some have AC, extremely comfortable beds, plenty of power outlets, fans, screen doors to hear the ocean all night, and a patio or balcony with lunge chairs and a hammock! -the service was top notch. Period. - complimentary bikes to borrow -across from a very cool cocktail lounge called Eden All in all - we never felt like we were missing out on a better place to stay. The sign simply says "Hotel Encantada: your private paradise." It was exactly that. As we walked the beach and passed the dozens of other places none seemed as tranquil or low key as Encantada. This may be an annual stay for us. Highest possible recommendation.

I cannot say enough great things about Encantada! 10/10 recommend. My husband and I went there for a both relaxing and adventuring trip for the first time to Tulum and stayed in the Luna room. We were immediately greeted with amazing customer service from Becky. Everyone on the staff was so incredibly nice (Oscar, JP) and truly cared that we had the best possible time on our stay. They also were very receptive to our needs and tailored the experience to that. The cabana beds were perfect for laying out on and never felt crowded or like you had to rush to grab a spot. The food for breakfast and at the restaurant was so so good! Exceeded our expectations. We ate breakfast on the gorgeous patio overlooking the ocean and tried almost everything on the menu. Everything was delicious, but the standout was the hummus we had one day for a snack, the best I've ever had! Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to eat dinner there as I'm sure it would have been excellent. We took advantage of the spa with some relaxing massages with ocean waves crashing in the background which was perfect. One of the highlights of the trip was our Mezcal tasting at Encantada with Luis. We learned a ton, and had a delicious assortment of Mezcal. Luis was incredibly informative, and also felt like he made the experience unique to us. Encantada then even sent a little tasting of Mezcal to our room a few nights later as an extra treat! The whole staff was always eager to assist with taxis, help setup activities, or advise on places they'd recommend. I'm still so blown away by how fantastic the customer service was. They were quick and easy to communicate either in person or via whats app especially if we were in a hurry to get out to our daytime activities and took breakfast to go. Whenever we get the chance to get back to Tulum (which we hope is soon) we wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else. Encantada has truly set the bar for what we want every hotel stay experience to be!

Encantada = Delighted And delighted we were. Encantada is possibly the most charming, beautiful, peaceful, relaxing hotel I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. After talking about Tulum 5 years ago, and never venturing quite that far south, we decided THIS would be the year. After staying at everything from the Tides in RM all the way up to a "Secret" place on Isla Mujeres, it was time. We decided to book our vacation at Encantada. After a short hour long drive from the Cancun airport, we were finally in Tulum! When we arrived at Encantada, Maria was there waiting to take care of us. The first 30 minutes at Encantada immediately brought my blood pressure down! We had a yummy tropical cocktail and some of the most amazing guacamole and salsas while we chatted with Carlos in the restaurant (who quickly became my best friend because he always knew EXACTLY what I wanted for breakfast, lunch and cocktails!). THEN we saw our rooms! We started the week off in Arena - a bottom floor, beach front unit, and were to move up to Cielo (top floor beach front) for the remainder of the week. I LOVED ARENA! I didn't want to leave - It was absolutely perfect. Literally, you walk up from the beach INTO your room - if that's your sort of thing - THIS is the place for you. I can't complain about Cielo though ... high ceilings, and a view that is just out of this world! Either of these units is muy perfecto! Lots of room, TONS of storage for your clothes and shoes (but believe me - you need to bring A PAIR OF FLOPS and that's it!) fabulous views, fresh water (refilled every day!), the fluffiest, most comfortable beds that are out of this world with fabulous linens, awesome pillows, lights for reading at night - everything you could possibly want. Both rooms were fabulous, very very clean (with daily maid service - and they did not just change the linens ... they thoroughly cleaned the whole place), very updated, I wish I could just move in! The location of Encantada is probably the thing that put it over the top. I can't think of a better location along that beach road. It's not RIGHT in the MIDDLE of everything (remember - Tulum's main road, which is 2 laned, is about the size of the road in front of your house at home! So accommodations are usually pretty much in the middle of it all), so you don't hear the traffic (except for the bread guy riding his bicycle in the early AMs and early eves - it took me all of two days to figure out where the pastry guy was!) - it's all just perfectly quiet. All you hear are the waves. Which reminds me ... leave your doors open at night - the screen doors lock - and just feel the awesome breeze come in and listen to the waves. ahhhhh. heaven. We tried every bit of food in Tulum - from pizza to a new hip NYC-turned-Mexico chef's place, and all the local haunts. HANDS DOWN, the food at Encantada is the best on the street! The breakfasts were awesome - fresh handmade yogurt, awesome granola, local fruits (and I mean REALLY LOCAL - something you can only get in the Tulum area), the yummiest banana bread ever and coffee that is out of this world! The lunch and dinner items are fabulous ... Stuff you would expect you'd empty your pockets for at any restaurant in your hometown! PERFECT! Anything you want to know about the surrounding area, you can find out from the staff. They are extremely knowledgeable and will help you acquire any type of excursion you are interested in. I cannot say enough about the staff. I had my favorites, but EVERYONE was wonderful. There was not a thing that I asked for that wasn't served to me on a silver platter and in a matter of moments. My husband and I stayed at Encantada for 3 nights as the first stop on our honeymoon. We've traveled a lot and stayed at a lot of high end places, but Encantada surpasses anything I've ever experienced when it comes to customer service. Utterly blown away. The first night in a first floor garden view room, the next two nights in a second floor ocean view room (for budget purposes). Both rooms were extremely comfortable and beautiful -- BUT if you're willing to splurge, the ocean view room was worth every single penny!! I didn't even feel the urge to go "down to the beach" - I WAS on the beach! Enjoyed every second from my shaded beautiful porch, ordering drinks and food, etc. What a treat. The beds are incredibly comfortable and you can hear the ocean as you fall asleep. What makes Encantada 5 stars and not just 4 is how they treated my sick husband -- he caught a stomach bug the day before we arrived in Mexico and was not in good shape. They did EVERYTHING to make the two of us feel comfortable, brought him several bottles of Pedialyte from the nearby convenience store, made him chicken broth soup, teas, etc. We never quite needed it, but they also offered that a doctor could visit our room. What also makes the hotel 5 stars is their ability to text with you during your stay -- WOW! Talk about customer service. They gave us their WhatsApp number and throughout our stay we would order food and drinks, request towels, ask questions through the app and get immediate responses!! The food was always delivered quickly and perfectly!! I'm so used to places inevitably getting something wrong or forgetting something, but Encantada was flawless every single time. AND, Carlos' pina coladas were the best I've ever had -- not hyperbole, the truth! Cons? Not for kids or families, and very subdued design-wise, if that's your thing. (Monotone beiges, but still beautiful.) Seaweed on the beach (they rake it up as best they can). Pros? Peaceful, romantic, luxurious, flawless customer service unlike anything I've ever experienced.
