The Best Cruise Ships in the World: The Gold List 2025

"While you may think of families when you think of Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Wish is ideal for Disney-loving adults who may or may not be cruising with youngsters. The glittering 4,000-passenger ship highlights Disney royalty around every corner, and once you step on board, you feel like the king or queen of the ship too. Luxe adult-only spaces are found all around the vessel, from wake-facing infinity pools in the Quiet Cove to the signature extra-charge restaurant, Enchante, with a menu by chef Arnaud Lallement of the three-Michelin-starred L’Assiette Champenoise. Alternatively, head to the included rotational dining restaurant, 1923, for a steakhouse-caliber meal without the extra charge. Sip on a nightcap at the Cinderella-themed Nightingale’s piano bar, where whimsical cocktails inspired by bubbles are served—we love the Chocolate Frozen Bubbles, a decadent mix of Baileys Salted Caramel, Absolut Vanilia, and chocolate, served in a hollow ice sphere that you get to break open with a tiny metal hammer. Between the adult escapes, go to the Walt Disney Theater for a Broadway-style retelling of the Disney animated classic The Little Mermaid, play the interactive Disney Uncharted Adventure game, or even head to the kids club during open house hours to virtually build and ride your own roller coaster in the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, and view once-a-cruise fireworks at sea. And besides all of this, at any moment during the voyage, you may find yourself face-to-face with Mickey Mouse himself. Four-night sailings from $2,018 per person. —Megan duBois" - CNT Editors

Disney Wish Food: What to Eat on Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship - Eater

"Then there’s Enchanté, irrefutably the best dining experience aboard. In a refined space with marble tabletops, gold accents, and blue swirled carpet mimicking the seas outside, chef Arnaud Lallemant’s menu of wild halibut with vermouth sauce and a stewed tomato, cooked for 12 hours and served four ways, could very well rival that of L’Assiette Champenoise." - Carlye Wisel

How Cruise Ship Cabins Are Changing to Better Serve Groups and Families

"The Disney Wish, debuting June 2022, has more than 900 staterooms with connecting doors. The designs allow for larger groups and families to remain together throughout the trip, but can also allow for closed doors for quiet time and privacy. The Disney Wish will offer 948 veranda rooms, compared to Disney’s next largest ship, the Disney Dream, which has 901. Though not much is known about Disney Wish’s final room layout, it's clear that organization will be a design priority. “Every stateroom offers enhanced storage options throughout, including roomy closets, extra shelving for toiletries, and elevated bed frames that provide space for suitcases and even bulky items like strollers,” says Claire Weiss, creative director of Walt Disney Imagineering."

Gorgeous from start to finish. The decor is stunning and elegant. The food was incredible and delightful. There were many small courses, but by the end I was full. Each bite was a delightful new flavor experience. Some flavors I've never had before. I still think about the tomato water. It sounded like an odd menu item, but upon trying it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the experience and I want to do it again if I ever find myself on the Disney Wish in the future. My only complaint is It did feel "library quiet." Like as though if I talked at normal volume I'd disturb the other guests or they'd hear everything we said. It's better than an overly loud restaurant, though.

A very unique experience of an exquisite cuisine onboard the ship. Art of food supported by a hand picked wines - delightful experience. You will receive a lot of attention from caring team guiding you through this journey. Highly recommended to all food & wine lovers.

Yelp
Went on Disney Wish as my first ever cruise in August. It was so much fun. The Disney hospitality was everywhere. The cast members were all kind and made sure we had a great time. I know Disney Cruise is expensive. I believe you get what you paid for in return. The food was superb. Service was top notch. Highly recommend if you want a very nice family oriented cruise.

Yelp
A wonderful cruise. It was on the Disney Wish, a monumentos ship. It was my first cruise. I'm not sure I'd go concierge again. But I'd go again. On with the good parts. There were so many star nights but I loved the pirate party. The service was almost impeccable. That's where it took a turn. I took two disabled guests in wheelchairs and they got around somewhat easy. We had an accesible room in concierge so I'm sure that helped. The only big issues were the elevators. Getting up to concierge, you could only use a certain set of elevators to get there so sometimes you had to take two elevators to get up to your room in any reasonable amount of time. That wasn't awful but inconvenient. On a positive note, if you do cruise on the Disney Wish, I would dine at Echante. It is an amazing experience. I've attached photos as it was utterly amazing. Each course was mystifying. Every course had a story and it was worth every bite. It was a must have. This was the best place I've eaten that was associated with Disney. The flavors were perfect. The worst experience was the staff towards the last night. In particular their photo staff. I paid for an unlimited package so I expected to get some photos but there weren't a ton of opportunities for adults. It was mostly character greetings and it wasn't extremely wheelchair accessible. Getting to these should have been a breeze. They should have had these areas roped off for an organized line but they didn't. That means people in wheelchairs and people going beside them had a hard time passing which was a huge fire hazard. The last night I asked to book a photo session since I didn't get many photos. I was told many times that it was very expensive, or at least that's what the crew really wanted to emphasize to me . My mother and I were told that if we came back after dinner we could get our photos taken. We came back after dinner and were met by new staff that told us the same thing (that it was very expensive). If we were staying in concierge, they should have known we were not worried about price. They told us that there was nothing available. So, we didn't get our photos taken. I wanted them taken. I even got my mother a makeover done that day with hair, makeup and nails in their salon. It ended up being a bust. I'm sure others haven't had the same experience as me but I thought I'd share mine. I shared with the concierge staff too and never received a response. So, I thought I'd share here. If you are traveling with disabled patrons, be warned that the adult pools aren't very disability friendly either. If it was just myself I don't think I'd have as many problems but overall for me it wasn't bad but for my guests it wasn't enjoyable. So, the Very Merry Cruise wasn't so Merry for all.

Yelp
Omg this Cruise was simply amazing, words or photos does no justice. This adventure is a must for kids as well as adults. Disney really out did themselves, the courteousness, and friendliness from the staff was amazing. The ship was always clean and the food selection was top tier. Dinner each night in the different diners was magnificent. The Oceaneer kids clubs was phenomenal the kids always wanted to go time after time. All the different activities they had for adults, teens, tweens, and toddlers was thought out with everyone in mind. The diversity on this shop was thought out and even the destination we docked were great. Castaway cay BBQ was great, excellent food choices and plentiful activities for everyone. Please plan on experiencing this at least once in your lifetime. Our family is ready to book a Christmas cruise.

Yelp
What a beautiful ship, what an awesome experience! The Disney Wish is a brand new ship that had its inaugural sailing on July 2022. We were blessed to had our adventure a couple of months after. The experience is like that of a movie. Every corner of the ship is clean. Lighting is perfect. Everythimg seems shiny. Going through the process of boarding the ship is a breeze. Very organized, no long lineups. The area where everyone has to enter is magnificent. It"s very beautiful. They announce your family name as a welcome. Everyone has time to explore the ship, an open house while they put the finishing touch on your cabin. The hallways are neat, the pools are clean. We were on a 3-night voyage. Every night, there is a different restaurant where you are assigned seating but your server remains the same. The food is great! The 1st and 3rd night there is an activity during dining. There is a food area where the pools are and there's a lot of food. You will never get hungry in this trip. There is a nightly performance like a Disney broadway play. Professionally done. Book Hyperspace, the Star Wars bar as it gets fully booked early. Go to Luna, the cinema, the pools, the ride, the place for the younger kids. The ship will pass by 2 islands, Nassau and Disney's own Castaway Cay. We will never forget this trip. It's very memorable. If you are still thinking about it, go for it. I don't mind any questions. If I could help, I will.

Yelp
All around fantastic experience. There are lots of photos of rooms and experiences here. I would only be adding what's already captured. Here is what I would add: Incredible staff. They are all so friendly and really embody the spirit of Disney. You can say everything is magical, but it's only true of the staff acts on it. They all did. From the room staff to the wait staff. Amazing. Food was always on point. You will never go hungry or thirsty. Ever. Amenities for kids and adults are beyond awesome. Do yourself a favor. Don't budget an experience. Go to the spa. Get gourmet coffee. Get a bottle of wine or bubbly for dinners. Splurge. You won't regret it. The broadway style shows are absolutely amazing. Go to all of them. The actors are hands down amazing at their art. This is great for kids and adults. There is no shortage of things to do on board. The terminal and entry/exit was so smooth. So so smooth. Y'all, don't hesitate to cruise on Disney. It's amazing.

Yelp
In April 28th 2023, I was on the Disney Wish. I thought this was a beautiful ship, and I was very excited to travel to the Disney Island. I grew up in Orlando, and I loved Disney. So I understood that Disney was going to be on the expense of side as far as cruises go, and I excepted that. What I found remarkable was that Disney wants to be involved in politics in my state. More importantly, they want to become a nonprofit in the state of Florida. And I'm trying to stay out of the political situation with Disney and friends of mine. I went to Disney World for the 50th anniversary, and have continued to support Disney until this cruise. The shows were beautiful, and the actors were fantastic. Imagine my surprise when we broke down in Panama and had to spend extra time in that port. We couldn't go to Disney island due to a bad storm. Disney offered us, the passengers in a way of compensation was $200 a stateroom and 1/3 off our next booked Disney cruise. I understand that things happen, what I don't understand is how Disney did not give us anything else back. I talked to the concierges desk, and they would not do anything about it. They should've given us a third off of this trip. I was insulted by this especially with Disney attempting to become a nonprofit in Florida. I will never go on another Disney cruise ship again. About four months later, I went on a Royal Caribbean Alaskan cruise ship, where the Buffett was so much better than Disney's and the food in the dining room was equal. It's ironic this ship also had an issue the day after we left it and they reimbursed their passengers, gave them free stuff for a couple of days and helped them change their flights as well as gave them another alaskan cruise for free. It's sad Royal Caribbean is so much more customer friendly than Disney ! The funny part is, I am just now giving this review because I'm still irritated about how Disney treated us. Shame on Disney.

Yelp
I sailed on the Disney Wish from 7/10-7/13/2022. This was a special sailing for Sweepstake winners and Cruising YouTubers and some media people. I was one of the winners but am giving my honest review. I was surprised at how many adults seemed to be so fascinated by the Disney characters on board. Most of them were more excited than the kids!! I am not a huge Disney fan but apparently a lot of adults are. So Disney does cute things like announce your family/group as you board so the whole deck hears...saying something like "Welcome to the Smith Family boarding the Disney Wish!" , giving Wishing wands. Welcome message on your TV in your room again saying "Welcome to the Smith Family". I like that. It makes me feel special. They have a fun water slide I went on multiple times. Aqua Mouse was another really fun water ride that goes around a good part of the 12th deck outside. There are two more water slides on Castaway Cay, their private island. A lot of fun all around. We had a balcony cabin and it was very spacious. I liked that the toilet was a separate room from the shower. You can order Mickey ice cream bars for room service anytime or at any of the restaurants. There are three themed restaurants, Marvel, 1923 and Arendelle. Arendelle does an amazing show while you eat. Overall, they definitely try with the food. The veggies are unique and very fresh. The seafood was all delicious and very high quality. For some reason, none of the steaks we tried were good at all. I love steak so this was disappointing. I would say if you have kids, this is a worthwhile ship to go on, but the cruises are only 3,4 and maybe 5 nights. This is very short to me but works for a lot of people's schedules. And if you just love Disney, I would not feel funny taking this cruise without kiddos.

Yelp
5/5 experience! This was our first cruise (I myself have been reluctant with really bad experiences with sea sickness prior...ugh) Everything end-to-end was amazing with the service, food, drinks, and experiences! The only issue we really had was trying to get a reservation at the Star Wars hyperspace lounge...after we took a really late one we realized we didn't miss too much being there. The island and Atlantis experiences made nice ways to be off the boat and break up the cruising along as well. We tried our best to capture various parts of the experience, and would HIGHLY recommend! Message us with any questions!

Yelp
My husband and I are big fans of Disney Cruise line. We sailed in September on the Disney Fantasy from Port Canaveral for 7 nights on an eastern Caribbean itinerary and had a wonderful time. The cruise terminal is well organized and all of the staff members are very efficient at moving everyone through check in and security. The cruise itself met our expectations for service, food and entertainment. Favorite food items were the lobster, king salmon, lamb shank, black truffle pasta, crab legs and Mickey churro waffles. The Aladdin show was good but the Frozen show was amazing! I recommend going to the DVC presentation - we were given $50 stateroom credit just for attending. The 18+ trivia and anyone can cook sessions were fun and memorable. Our stateroom attendant Richard from Indonesia and our dining team, Nikola from Montenegro and Rafik from India were very helpful and friendly. We were able to enjoy the adult pool and aqua duck water slide on most days. We booked a couples massage which was relaxing but definitely over priced with the 18% gratuity. The mixology classes were worth it with heavy pours and educational. We did two excursions in BVI and USVI: Tortola by Land and Sea, and a tour of St. John. Both were very scenic and we enjoyed the tour guide information. Unfortunately we had to miss our last port of call in Castaway Cay due to a mechanical issue. Generously everyone on board was given $250 on board credit and 25% off a future cruise. We usually do express walk off but for this cruise we put our large bags outside the room the night before debarkation and easily found them in the cruise terminal the next morning. There was quite a long line just to get off the ship and get through customs. We used the DCL ground transportation to the airport and it was a breeze. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned and they were showing Disney cartoons and trivia on the TVs. They drop off at terminal B which conveniently has curbside service for Southwest Airlines.

Yelp
This is a high quality cruise line. You can tell they put attention to detail in everything they do. The bath towels were so plush. The bedding was Frette. The balcony cabin was so spacious. Our room attendant went out of her way to make sure we had extra bath towels and toiletries. She was very pleasant. The ports are limited which I don't care for. We only went to Castaway Cat, their private island. It was nice but I like going to at least three ports on a cruise. The stores had such charming merchandise for kids. I liked the ice cream store which is a la carte. There were definitely some hits and misses regarding the food but most of it was good.

Yelp
Just returned from a four day Bahamian cruise on the Wish. This was our second Disney cruise after doing the Disney Fantasy a few years back. From the design of the ship to the high quality food options, I can't think of anything Disney could have done to make for a more enjoyable experience. The crew on the ships go well beyond the call of duty making sure all your needs are met. The BBQ station on the 11th deck was amazing. Definitely one of the highlights on the ship. The water slide Aqua Mouse was very fun as well. The Marvel dining hall and Star Wars bar were a nice touch. So much to do on the ship, I could have easily done another few days. Looking forward to our next Disney Cruise excursion!

Yelp
Disney Wish: A Wish that is not ready to be granted I decided to split this review into two parts; the positives and the negatives. I aim to be factual and speak from prior experiences on different boats in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, my expense come from the: Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy respectively. Now let's get to the review... Positives: - [ ] Buffet food has improved - [ ] Pool food is arguably better then the main dining options (pizza, BBQ, tacos, hot dogs, and burgers) - [ ] Palo is still good (prefer brunch over dinner in my opinion) Negatives: - [ ] Main dining servers are not clicking with the rest of the staff - [ ] Customer service has a lack of caring or accommodating for guests - [ ] Lack of teamwork or a system ready to combat the challenges or common misunderstandings that happen on a cruise ship. - [ ] Lots of bars-takes away from a welcoming environment - [ ] Kid priority (more kid-friendly areas) adults on back burner (adult pool is like human soap) - [ ] Guest services won't call you up if you're not at your dinner reservation - [ ] A common saying from guest services, "I'm sorry" - [ ] Digital app only-no paper version option - [ ] Waiting for over an hour for appetizers should not be acceptable-yet here we are on the new Wish - [ ] 1923 is a very poor design-tables are packed in even with a restaurant split into two sections. - [ ] Servers seem very nervous, as if they are overwhelmed - [ ] Ship layout is different (note-same layout will be on the upcoming ships; from talking with the crew) - [ ] Pirate night-is regarded as a night of panic and confusion (honestly I'd say skip pirate night as the menu is really unappetizing - [ ] Servers are not clearing the table between courses (it's customary to see this on the other boats) - [ ] The "new" dining experience is a fast food experience-there is NO dinging experience at all. You order everything all at once. The other ships it's a personal experience, and the staff dress up for private night on the other boat, they just wear a broach for this one. - [ ] Some servers just shake the table cloth and replace it with a fresh one after guests have left. - [ ] Crew is made up of a lot of new first time employees and seasoned veterans from other ships-lack of cohesion among cast members/crew - [ ] Disney Cruise Lines continued separation of guests based on age continues to leave some guests confused why certain events can only be accessed by certain age grows (e.g. teens, tweens, or adults) - [ ] With an "online only" option for navigator, you have to stay in an endless virtual queue (at the time of this writing, I have been waiting for guest services for over the entire cruise to get ahold of someone virtually). To be frank, it's best to brave the lines to get your questions answered. - [ ] Over reliance on technology being everything, it's taking the "Disney magic" out of the experience. - [ ] Castaway Cay info desk has this expression on their face like they don't want to be there. - [ ] Draw a character classes are the following: get drawing utensils, sit down in a crowded location, watch a video of the drawing on a small tv screen, the person "leading" the demonstration will pause the video and then will ask "Do you need more time"?, before pressing play on the remote. Honestly, I feel it's a waste of time, you don't see anyone actually drawing it live. - [ ] No directions for controlling light sensitivity/brightness - [ ] Prepare to bang your ankle against this black metal bar for the Murphy bed. - [ ] Accessibility for mobility aides is well...just really really bad I thank you for taking the time to read this exhaustive review.

Yelp
The only line my fiancée and I travel on. You always hear Disney is for kids, but Disney Cruise Line really knows how to cater to the child-free cruiser. Right now, there are two categories of ships, the magic class, and the dream class. The Magic had a sister named the Wonder, and the Dream and her sister the Fantasy. The Dream and Fantasy are the larger of the four ships currently in the fleet (the Wish will be the largest when she launches in 2022). The magic/wonder are such cute ships. They are actually my favorite due to the smaller size (that means less people's, shorter lines, etc). The downfall to the smaller ships is a smaller adult outdoor pool/lounging area. I do like the themes bars much better on the smaller ships, however. The fantasy/dream have great amenities that the smaller ships can have, such as the raft water slide the aquaduck. You can ride this as a single or double as an adult. They also have a larger outdoor water area for adults only. The have a small upper deck with loungers and a wave pool, in addition to the adult pool with bar and hot tubs. While the larger ships have more adult bars, some are very tiny, and during peak times you probably won't be able to get in the door. Service has been comparable on both ships. The fantasy/dream have additional shopping areas with large retailers such as bvulgari and Tiffany & Co. Overall, I'd go on any ship of Disney's anywhere if it means a vacation. Even if you're child free, I recommend it!

Yelp
We did the Disney Dream Cruise for my son's 5th birthday and it was absolutely amazing. The service was sooo great. Norawan was our room attendant and he was soooo sweet. Helwicio and Christian were our servers for dinner and they were absolutely fantastic! The beaches were amazing. I think October is the perfect month there wasn't a lot of people and the weather in the Bahamas was perfect, not too hot and not too cold. However, food on the ship wasn't great. You get your ordinary cheeseburger, hot dog, chicken nuggets and french fries for lunch. But for dinner, the servers tried to make it great and memorable for our boys! BUT will I come back? HECK YES! Side note: I got off the boat and now the level of service doesn't match with the service I got from my cruise :( I'm giving out 1 stars everywhere I go now ;)

Yelp
Im not usually a fan of cruises but this experience was pretty amazing. The ship had characters ready to take pictures with guests every few hours. It was easy to follow the characters schedule and keep up with the ships itinerary on the Disney Cruise App. You can also use the app to chat with your family and friends all for free. My daughter wasn't 3 years old yet at the time, while that's great because she was only a quarter of the price, there was nothing she could sign up for. All the activities were 3+ years old. We spent most of our time in the kids splash zone, looking at characters from a distance (because she was scared of them all), watching live broadway shows such as Beauty and the beast, watching movies like Captain Marvel and End game (which she couldn't sit quietly through), live shows on deck with after party DJs, and on their private island at Castaway Cay. The staff was amazing and friendly! My daughter threw up on our bed while we were changing her, probably due to all the ice cream she ate. Housekeeping came quickly in the middle of the night and changed out all the sheets immediately. It was truly a magical experience despite not being able to sign up for activities, we all had a great time.

Yelp
First review of the year and well earned. I will say Disney Cruise Line, was extremely cautious when is comes to safety. To embark on this cruise, vacination had to be proven and a rapid test was performed prior to boarding. Luckily, there was no issue there. Upon arrival to the port our bags were immediately picked up, we were greeted and welcomed immediately into the concierge waiting area and one of the first to embark the cruise. Our names were announced with a very merry welcoming ceremony featuring captain Mickey and captain Minnie. We were then lead to the Royal Palace dining room for a reception luncheon. After that, I endulged at will. Be it the rotational dining, signature dining, dining hall, cabanas, room service, BBQ on Castaway Cay and taking a nap in the Cabana after, this experience was beyond amazing and indescribable. The shows were Broadway quality, entertainment for adults were separated from kids and the service was outstanding without a glitch. Hopefully, the pictures do speak for themselves because it was amazing. By the way, I am not a Disney adult. Disclaimer: This is the only cruise I have embarked on and we had a concierge state room.

Yelp
Disney cruise ship is the best cruise ever. we came back 2 months ago from cruise and my kids still talking about it. It is good and enjoyable for all ages, very well organized, the team extremally helpful and kind. Just in one word our experience was the best trip ever. Any penny worth it.

Yelp
Disney is top notch in everything..... yes it's more expensive but well worth the extra money.... Food, cleanliness, staff, shows and beauty of the boat itself is why we keep coming back . This is great for families but even better without !

Yelp
This review is far overdue since we cruised on the Disney Dream in the Bahamas at the end of January. Seems so long ago, but very thankful we were able to have a vacation experience pre-pandemic. With 2020 in full swing so I had little time to prepare for the cruise other than making a set of family shirts to wear on board. Probably the most stressful things were making it aboard and disembarking, but once you are on, you can enjoy everything (and anything) that the cruise offers. The number of activities is overwhelming so try to plan accordingly (or don't). I think some folks just lock themselves in their rooms and just come out for meals... it's all up to you. I was afraid the cruise would be specifically all kids, but they have something for everyone. On the schedule, there are singles mixers, adult-only wine/alcohol classes, it's crazy how many things go on. There's even a section of the ship that's 18 and up so you can sit on the deck and get some sun without little ones running around. I feel like there were a ton of parents that would drop their kids off at the daycare and then enjoy couple time. Disney really leaves not detail overlooked. Their various dining experiences are full on themed and you don't feel like you are on a boat a lot of the times. Their theaters are constantly playing their movies... now that Disney owns marvel, there's really something for everyone. All the staffers (from all around the world) are super nice and really get to know you during your stay. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is special from the towel animals, or just even knowing your dinner orders (favorite foods) to steer you in the right direction. I was with my mom and sister's family so her little ones (4 and 1) really had a good time. My niece (the 4 year-old) had many princess dresses for costume changes and she really loved meeting all the characters on board apart from all the shows, food, swimming, water slides, and other countless activities. Overall, the cruise was exactly as the ship was named, a "Dream." I did some research after-the-fact and found out that Disney only has 4 ships and are a very popular cruise line. There's a reason why they have people coming back for more than one vacation!

Yelp
Where do I begin? First of all I have never been on a cruise. And actually I never thought that I wanted to go on a cruise. The idea of being trapped on a boat with no escape kind of scares me. However I've turned 40 and I thought it would be fun to do a big family trip for my birthday and a cruise seemed to be easier. And if anyone can do a cruise that I would enjoy it would be Disney. And boy was I right. I booked the cruise through Costco and it worked out really well because the pricing was the same as the Disney cruise line website however they gave me a Costco Cash card after I returned home. Which was a nice perk. I needed a handicapped room for my mother-in-law and they were very accommodating working directly with Disney to get our rooms close together. We weren't right next to each other but we were just a few doors down which was perfect. We did the 3 night Halloween on the High Seas Cruise. On embarkation day we went through security and went up the escalators to the area where we checked in for the cruise. We checked our luggage and were ready to board the ship. That area was fun because everyone was excited and there was a model ship and Mickey was there for photo opportunities. Once we got to the ship our rooms were actually ready so we checked them out and were pleased. We had a verandah room and it had a spacious balcony with 2 chairs and a great view. Inside there was a queen bed, a couch which turned into a bunk bed (bed from the couch and bed from the ceiling), Also a bed came down from the wall. There was plenty of space. The room was very clean and I loved the 2 bathrooms (one with a toilet and sink and one with a tub/shower and sink) It made it seemed less crammed. Every night we had new towel animals and a navigator with turn down service, and they always left us chocolates and more toiletries. Room service was fast, delicious, and free. And the staff who cleaned and turned down our room was wonderful. Now I will highlight what I loved about this cruise. The service - We had rotational dining and each night was assigned a different restaurant - each with their own theme. Our servers stayed with us for each place and dressed the part at each place. Because of this they got to know us pretty well and gave us little things that made us feel special. Like a special glass of wine or cutting my mother in law's steak and having a ginger ale waiting for her. When my son was in a port hole enjoying the view a kid walked by and puked in the hall. My son looked at me horrified and our server came running out of the restaurant and go go gadget armed him out of the porthole and returned him to us wiping him down all the way. The food - you could have as much as you wanted. The restaurant food was good and they had no issues with us ordering more than one appetizer, entree, etc. Also room service is available 24/7 and is pretty fast. I love that you can bring two bottles of wine or a 6 pack of beer per person on board. I enjoyed a glass of wine on my verandah with some room service cheese. Also the buffet, pizza and burger area, and various coffee shop treats were lovely The entertainment - Fireworks on board? Movies on demand? Broadway style entertainment? GAH! The Beauty and the Beast show was top notch. I can't even believe this was all done on a ship. Room comfort - I don't think I've ever slept better. That bed was just lovely and the staff always kept up with keeping it made up and turned down appropriately. Amazing. Cons: that I had to get off the ship and that I didn't go longer. Oh also its more expensive than other cruise lines, but based on all of the things I listed above, to me, it was WELL worth it! I could go on and on and on but I won't because I can't write TOO much but if you want any feedback on this cruise line hit me up. I am a forever Disney Cruise Line lover.

Yelp
We just got back today from an 8 day cruise on the Disney Fantasy. We sailed to Tortola, Puerto Rico, and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. I'm going to be cheesy only because it's true...it was so incredibly magical!!! When we stepped on that ship, the opulence began. Our family was announced and welcomed as we walked into a gorgeous atrium. The staff hospitality and food service was out of this world. We really lost ourselves and let go of all of our worries. Every dinner you are offered the highest quality options. I am vegan and the chef made a special dish for me every night, off-menu. My son is a carnivore (I see the irony) and he devoured all of his entrees. This is a dining experience I would never have access to in my regular life. The choice of shore excursions at all ports were varied. I am not a zip liner nor am I a snorkeler, and yet, the activities we chose were incredible. We experienced "the baths" in Tortola which is a walking tour through a cave system at the beach. We did a tour of old and new San Juan in Puerto Rico. We hopped on a jet boat that zipped and slided for 30 min at Castaway Cay. Needless to say, we've already booked our next cruise with the Disney Fantasy.

Yelp
A memorable trip indeed. Ours was a 4 night cruise on the Wonder beginning Sunday (we spent a few days at Disney beforehand and then drove to Canaveral that day). Monday and Wednesday were at Castaway Cay (Disney's private island), Tuesday was in Nassau (walk towards the resort part of the island or you won't see some of the nice parts of Nassau), and Thursday was back at port. There is plenty of onboard entertainment- movies, shows, pool, shuffleboard, character visits, dance clubs for teens, fireworks. And the sound of that ship's horn (when you wish upon a staaar). The food- amazing. Themed dinners, two different dinner slots. We started off Sunday night at a seafood restaurant (I got the sea bass), Monday was Parrot Cay (a fun pirate themed restaurant that was replaced by Tiana's where they put fruit pearls in a meringue 'treasure chest' box and more seafood), Tuesday was Triton's (a delicious French restaurant and probably my favorite where I got to try escargot in a butter garlic sauce, duck, and creme brulee- yum), and Wednesday the Animator's Palate (a fun black and white themed restaurant where I got chicken on a mashed potato bed with chocolate cake on the side). Breakfast was a buffet. (There is a pizza/ smoothie stand by the pool deck that we didn't realize charges for their smoothies. We won't make that mistake again. My dad and I agreed that we would definitely go again, but Disney is the way to go. Unfortunately, my mom either got norovirus or a bad case of seasickness on the first night (the ship was really hauling booty- about 30 kts on the first night) and was quarantined to her room. My mom got to keep the room with the window and they let her out 1/2 day on Tuesday and the full day on Wednesday. My dad and I were moved to a smaller room- no balcony, no window. But, Disney was nice enough to subtract my mom's portion off her bill

Yelp
Halloween on the High Seas was EVERYTHING and more! This was our second DCL cruise four years apart but our first DCL themed cruise. I am just recuperating mentally from returning home. My neighbor and I surprised our girls the morning of the plane ride to the Disney cruise line. Let's just say they enjoyed themselves immensely. I found my dgtr sleeping in the bathtub on the last day snoring but as soon as I told her it was time to do something else she jumped up, lol! Here are a few tips I would love to share: 1) If budget is a concern, start with a 3 day cruise and book a $250 placeholder. It allows you to receive a 10-20% discount on future cruises and you may also use the 250 dollar towards your deposit. This cost is also refundable. You will also receive onboard credit. This placeholder is a no brainer if you plan to sail again and you will. 2) If you are interested in exchanging gifts with other cruisers be sure to sign up for the tour travel date face book group. Try searching for Disney cruising, Disney cruise line junkies etc groups within Facebook and it will give you a lot of details 3) Disney's private island is pronounced Castaway Key(spelled Cay) 4) Take time to enjoy the boat and your family. You are going to have an amazing time. Worth every penny!

Yelp
I love Disney Cruise Line! I just went on my fifth one to Alaska. Exceptional customer service and very clean and aesthetic state rooms and cruise ship in general. The food is outstanding. They have a buffet for breakfast and lunch (and dinner if opting to skip the dinner rotation). They also have a place for pizza, ice cream (soft serve), and grilled foods most of the day. They have a movie theater, a theater for Broadway shows and other types of variety acts in the evening, a gym, a spa, clubs for kids of multiple age groups, pools, an adult-only pool, lounges, bars, basketball court, and lots more. I've been on all the ships except the Disney Magic. I've been to the Eastern Caribbean, the Bahamas, Disney's private island Castaway Cay, and now Alaska. A great experience every time! I even got married on the Disney Dream in the Bahamas. It was wonderful.

Yelp
Oh, my pixie dust and magic lamps where do I begin. Let me start with day 1 arriving on the ship. From the moment we parked our car the magic began. We arrived to have a very lovely luggage team handle all our luggage. From unloading our car to seeing it safely onto the ship. Check-in was a little daunting as when I arrived the line seemed awful long however it went really quickly. The cast member was quick, friendly and efficient. She answered all our questions and was super fun to talk with. Because we chose to arrive later in the day we did not have to wait to board the ship we were able to go from check in to boarding in under 20 minutes. Boarding the ship is a fun experience not only do you walk into a beautiful setting but being announced like royalty is very magical. Once onboard the magic only increases from top-notch service in the restaurants we are talking 5-course meals to fun activities aboard. I personally loved the trivia and cooking seminars. Not only is there a multitude of activities from movies, to broadway, shows even sports but the food. Let just say you will never go hungry they have fine-dining, quick service meals oh and did I happen to mention unlimited free ice cream. Then there are the islands along the way from Nassau to Castaway Cay Disney private island where you can fish, scuba dive or just sit back and relax as you watch the waves roll by. Disney Dream is a dream it brings the high quality you expect with the Disney name along with the Disney magic you have come to love.

Yelp
We love Disneyland, go there all the time. But what we love even moreso are Disney cruise lines! Although we boarded Disney's Dream to complete the Castaway Cay Challenge--drifting on over to Disney's private tropical island in the Bahamas to complete a 5k after running Disney World's Marathon Weekend--we really had no idea how amazingly fun the journey would be. From dining at the Enchanted Garden, the Royal Palace, and Animator's Palate (our favorite) to enjoying the live stage shows, like "Beauty and the Beast," the fun never seemed to end. (By the way, speaking of dining, our host had vegetable and fruit purées made for our 7-month-old, so that each night she could look forward to something special as well! Nice touch, right?) Even during lounges at the pool, there was entertainment: full-length Disney movies projected onto giant screens poolside. And if you'd rather, the ship's movie theater impressed you with a line-up including "The Last Jedi" and "Coco." When we eventually reached the Bahamas, the 5k boasted a runner's paradise: sandy white beaches, swaying palms, sparkling turquoise lagoons, and...possibly a bit of humidity. However, you'd look beyond that. Besides, you're snagging the Castaway Cay Challenge Medal. And even if you're not, Disney provides the opportunity to run for everyone, a just-as-cool Castaway Cay medal awaiting. A tip: register for activities early, before the trip begins. Some activities fill quickly. And download the Cruise's app: it'll keep you informed as to daily adventures, like Jack Jack's Diaper Dash! It was our daughter's first competition, and although she didn't budge from the starting line, we were still very proud of her. She looked fierce! And all babies entertained, the dash itself demanding huge applause and encouragement! No other cruise line will ever do!

Yelp
3rd Disney Cruise 1st one was on the Fantasy (best cruise ever!) 2nd was the Wonder (meh...) 3rd was the Magic...almost identical to Wonder + a super cool waterslide Despite my love for the ships or lack thereof...the experience is what really makes Disney Cruises so magical. This cruise in particular was Thanksgiving week and was a Xmas themed cruise...so we celebrated both holidays on the ship.... there was a life sized gingerbread house...yes it was real gingerbread! the aroma wafted through the lobby as we entered the ship. amazing xmas tree adjacent to the gingerbread house. characters came out throughout the week dressed in different outfits (ex: captain mickey, sorcerer mickey, santa mickey etc... I saw goofy in workout clothes, santa clothes. My daughter was excited to see chip and dale doing yoga in the lobby) This one had it's pros and cons... pros... -holiday season -we celebrated multiple holiday's -ports were Castaway Cay and Disneyworld...no lame ports! -food was better than wonder -service was fabulous con's.. -too many little whining kids! i don't remember this on the previous 2 cruises...but those weren't during a school holiday -small ship...not as much fun as the Fantasy... yes of course we will go on another Disney Cruise...but now that I've tried 3/4 ships...i know that i will likely only go on the Fantasy again ..or the Dream (which i haven't tried) or one of the future ships that are soon to arrive!

Yelp
* Disneyland (check) * Disney World (Check) * Aulani (Check) * Club 33 (Check) * 1901 Lounge (Check) Tokyo Disneyland is still on our list, but we've now crossed off Disney Cruise Line (or so we thought). Summer Vacation 2019 (Mid-June) & we booked a Friends/Family trip a year in advance on the Disney Dream. Uncertain as to whether we'd book another Disney cruise, we opted for the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (YOLO). I, personally am a Disney fanatic, though the Brother in-law had reservations about an all-inclusive Disney-themed vacay. That soon changed after about a day aboard ship (or should I say in nautical terms, "The tide had turned."). Is this a Disney experience? Absolutely? Is it just for kids? Absolutely NOT. Pretty much everything (Food, Drinks, Snacks, etc...) are ALL INCLUSIVE. The Ice Cream bar btw? OMG... Exclusions? The premium restaurants (i.e., Remy & Palo) & oddly enough, popcorn @ the theaters, along w/ (though expected) alcoholic beverages (Remy btw was FABULOUS). Day 2, we were able to book a Beer Tasting event at 687 Sports Bar. One of the few spots on the ship with a more robust selection of brews (personal fave being the Loose Canon IPA). Whenever we had a breather from the extensive # of events/activities (Disney Cruise Line Navigator app btw is extremely handy), we'd make our way over to 687 for brews, their crack-ish concoction of mixed nuts or some loaded tots. Bartenders were extremely friendly, as well as the other patrons (Dad's, Grandads, etc...) making small-talk, inquiring on beer suggestions or consistently hearing that "Disney Cruise Lines ruined every other Cruise Line experience for them..." We were even warned before boarding that "If this is our first cruise experience, it's all downhill from here..." Is a cruise ship all about food & alcohol? Well, sorta, but not on a Disney Cruise Line. The amenities & activities are practically overwhelming, with things to do for just about anyone of all ages. If there happens to be a New Disney Film released around the time of your cruise, SAVE YOUR MONEY. Chances are, they'll be playing on your ship (i.e., Aladdin & Toy Story 4 in our case). The live shows on the ship are also INCREDIBLE. Multi-story high-tech theaters with amazing special effects. The Dream had a live performance of Beauty & The Beast that was truly mind-blowing (comparable to what you've seen w/ Aladdin @ The Hyperion back in the day). The # & type of activities (including Magic, Comedy, Karaoke, Game Shows, etc...) would max out my character limit for this review, so you're going to have to book a trip for yourself... The excursions (Cast Away Cay) in particular was an amazing experience. A Disney-owned Private Island? GTFOH! Same expected Disney service, the same level of cleanliness + the quality of food at the buffet was also outstanding. If you book the Disney Dream, however, DO NOT book the Nassau Bahamas Blue Lagoon Island Beach excursion. This IS NOT a Disney owned island, which is shared with every other cruise line. Food was TERRIBLE. Beverages? Well, had we waited another hour or so in line at the bar (in addition to the hour we were already there), maybe we would've eventually made eye contact with the rude bartenders. Island was unbearably hot with no shade (unless you shelled out $25 per umbrella) & cleanliness was "questionable." Never again & easily the most disappointing part of our trip. But guess what? You get Cast Away Cay AGAIN on the way back! (which you'll appreciate even more the second time around). Breakfast/Lunch & Dinner Service... I cannot begin to describe the experience. You're assigned a dedicated crew for Lunch & Dinner who make note of your dietary preferences, what sides you prefer, etc... Truly a VIP experience, having such personalized attention to detail for you & the family. Can't decide on an entree? GET BOTH (no joke!). Though the servers do get a small % of gratuity by default, envelopes for additional tips are passed out prior to conclusion of the cruise assuming you wanted to give a little extra (which you'll feel compelled to do so after the level of service you'll be receiving). This includes the dedicated Stateroom Host who not only cleans your room, but will impress you with their creativity, by folding blankets & towels into animals or familiar Disney characters, etc... I have much more to share (The AquaDuck), but must end the review abruptly due creeping up on the 5k character limit. For anything more, you'll just have to experience for yourself. Prior to returning to Port Canaveral, they will offer you an option to book another cruise within 24 months @ a 10% discount (though you'll have to decide/book before disembarking). Deposit is only $250 & 100% refundable should you change your mind. Will we change our mind? Highly doubtful... We're considering the Alaska cruise next (though who knows, we hear that a Hawaiian cruise is in the works as we speak). Aloha?

Yelp
After our first 4-day Disney cruise on the Dream last year, we booked a seven day cruise on her sister ship, the Fantasy, while on board. That seemed like the longest year of my life while we waited. Just got off the ship yesterday and wow, it was worth every penny. It is a night and day difference between a four day cruise and a seven day cruise. We were skeptical initially if it would be too long, but realize it may not have been long enough. Stayed at the very forward of the shit, room 6501. Not a fancy or big room, but liked it so much more than the room we had last year at the very aft of the ship. Having a very forward room location has some nice perks, namely that you are very close to the forward elevators which take you directly to the adult-only areas of the ship where we spent most of our time. We are so loved our dining room servers, and thought the food seemed to be a little better than on our 4 night cruise last year. They served an unbelievable sea bass with risotta, which they were happy to serve off-menu to me 3 nights. The ship was kept spotless and did not meet one unpleasant and unfriendly crew member while on board. We did the Western Caribbean cruise, and all of their port stops were nice other than Falmouth, Jamaica which was very run down 1 block outside of the port, but the Jamaicans are a very friendly people. Disney also offers many tasting/drinking classes throughout the week at a minimum charge ($20-30 per person) which in our case more than covered the cost of our 4 drinks (2 champagnes, 1 port, and 1 scotch), especially the 30yr Glen Morangie Signet Scotch. We booked another 7-day cruise for next summer while still on board. I think we are lifelong Disney cruisers...

Yelp
If I could give Disney Cruise Lines 100 stars, I would. I have been on two cruises, both on the Dream. My children were 3 and 4 on our first trip, and 5 and 6 on our second. We can't wait to go on our next cruise with Disney and plan to do so every few years. On both cruises, we did a 4 night to the Bahamas, the itinerary being Nassau, Castaway Cay, and a day at sea. Nassau isn't my favorite port, but I learned on our second cruise that it is a great opportunity to stay onboard the ship and enjoy smaller crowds. The boat has so much to offer that even doing this, there is no way you can do everything. Our Disney Cruise bucket list is huge. I highly recommend getting a verandah room if it is within your budget, because there is nothing more relaxing in the world than having breakfast overlooking the open ocean. The rooms are smaller than hotels on land, but there is a surprising amount of storage. The only place that you really feel small is the bathrooms, which are thankfully split- a toilet and sink in one and a bathtub and sink in the other. There is Disney magic all throughout the trip. The character meet and greets are significantly more organized than Disney World or Disneyland. The times are posted daily and most characters have several times to meet. My daughter had no problem waiting in line, even at 3, and the characters and handlers are understanding of nervousness and do everything possible to get a great photo. It took me a while to not feel guilty using the kids' clubs, the Oceaneers Club and Oceaneers Lab, but those are well-oiled machines. I felt secure leaving my children there while my husband and I got some alone time together, which is extremely rare back at home. My kids would have stayed there the entire vacation if I would have let them. The staff in the kids club also work Scuttle's Cove on Castaway Cay, so my children immediately felt safe seeing familiar faces. Scuttle's Cove was open as soon as the boat docked so I could participate in the (free!) 5K offered by Disney on their island. The food is amazing and all included in the price of the cruise. We would frequently take food from the buffet back to our room so we could eat on our verandah. I would suggest bringing your own Old Bay if you love seafood, but I'm married to a Marylander so that's a necessity for us. If you can get a reservation to Palo for dinner, take it! Palo was one of our favorite parts of the entire vacation. I still dream of their food. I can't say a single negative thing about Disney Cruise Line. We will undoubtedly return and speak highly of the memories made on our vacation.

Yelp
We issued a written complaint early on about the inefficiency of shore concierge services on Disney cruise lines. This is a sentiment shared by many that requests made by email are often delayed by weeks or not addressed even at all and the system is terribly ineffective. It's a disappointment given the price point of the service, and we did not experience concern to improve the system while guests of Disney Cruise Line. We issued our complaint in professional capacity and would expect a professional response. Subsequently, we experienced inexplicable errors in service we can only attribute to intentionally discrimated against our child because we complained. They basically made my life as a mom awful, scrambling leading up to the cruise, while they repeatedly evaded helping us correct their mistake. At one point we spent 5 hours on hold trying to make contact with concierge services. We paid for a concierge suite, not because we needed more concierge space but to pay for access to activities and help with pre arrival requests. The description advertised paying for concierge suite detailed we would have activity request access "prior to it becoming available to other Guests on your sailing". The concierge window for Royal Gathering pre arrival reservations opened Sep 2 for concierge guests. On Sep 3 I requested pre arrival reservations for any day and any time for one 5 year old child participant with an accompanying chaperone. On Sep 8 many, many pre arrival reservations across different days and times were made available to non concierge guests. On Sep 4 pre arrival reservations were also granted by phone to at least one other concierge family that we even know about. Our Sep 3 email request had not even specified a certain day or time, but on Sep 8 our child was declined pre arrival reservations across the board for every available day and for every available time. Disney guest services explained it was simply out of their hands to correct their mistake and that if they allowed our single 5 year old child pre arrival reservations to an event dozens of others had fluid time spots for throughout the cruise..... that would be overbooking. Disney Cruise Lines description of concierge services also details, "Requests are processed in the order in which they are received." This procedure was not adhered to for our child, and we were suggested to both spend the days and weeks ahead checking for cancellations ourselves. We paid astronomically for services to experience discrimination, and were made to do more work than if we had just done it ourselves to begin with. Their indifference to a 5 year old girl seeing some princesses was stronger than their desire to correct their own mistake to the point it went against all human logic.

Yelp
Wow...just wow. I've always been a big Disney World goer, but this was my first Disney Cruise and it was an absolute blast! In fact, this was my first ever Cruise, so keep in mind that I don't have anything to compare this cruise line to. However, Disney does a fantastic job that shouldn't come to a surprise, and gets an easy 4.5 stars from me. We pretty much had a stress free time planning and enjoying our trip, and they make the rules and regulations very clear. Booking the cruise was easy, and they also allow you to start with a down payment and pay off the rest at a certain deadline. Getting to the port from Orlando (an hour apart) was also a lot easier than anticipated, which was one thing I worried about in the beginning. We stayed in a hotel on Disney property, and they have a cruise line shuttle that picked us up from there and drove us all the way to the port, as well as back to the airport afterwords. It was $70, but honestly was worth it and would probably cost a similar amount, if not more to get a couple Uber's. The cruise itself was so much fun! It was very similar to the type of experience and customer service that you receive at any other Disney establishment. Everywhere was so clean and beautiful, the food was fantastic and they were endless amounts of activities to partake in. There were a few irks, which weren't too bad but were a couple things that I was not fond of. First of all, I know that Disney is a big corporate company that consistently markets to earn profit. And I don't think there is a problem with that...business is business. But there were times on the cruise that I felt like were a bit pushy and gimmicky to get us to buy things. For example, they would use a professional camera every night at dinner and take a picture of each person and attempt to sell the photo to them. This definitely annoyed me each night as I tried to eat dinner while trying to ignore the constant flashes in the dark restaurant. Another thing I didn't not like personally was how we were seated each night with a bunch of random people. Don't get me wrong, I love meeting new people and making friends, but I wish I could have had just one meal that my boyfriend and I could have enjoyed without being crowded around a bunch of other people. Our cruise went to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay... both places were BEAUTIFUL and they gave us quite a long time each day to enjoy ourselves on the islands. I could go on and on, but overall it was such a magical experience and I cannot wait to go on another cruise with them!! Disney always know how to make everything fun and enjoyable, as well as make us adults feel like we never have to grow up!

Yelp
This cruise line can't be beat. Although I normally like to partake in a cruise casino, it wasn't missed at all in this family trip. The cruise caters to all ages. My group was from age 1 to 60 and everyone had something to do and enjoyed themselves. Children were having fun in their area (where you can leave them as it's like a free day care). They played games, learned, and made new friends. The adults were able to partake in the adults only areas. Their are plenty of shows and bars. Then the whole family can get back together for dinner and a show. What's nice is because you have set dinner times (although you can skip this and do other options too) you have the same servers throughout your trip and they learn your preferences. Sometimes ready and waiting with your drink when you arrive. Though this is a pricy cruise, it is well worth it for the quality of service, details, and overall fun.

Yelp
So. Disney has a loyal customer out of me! I apologize in advance - this review is going to be one of those "stream of thought" type things because I'm still getting excited just reminiscing on it! I made a random decision to go on a cruise. I happened to find a good deal through an external source for a Disney cruise.. kind of just booked it on a whim about 2 months out... then I spent a month and a half biting my fingernails thinking I shouldn't have done it.. I kind of splurged and got a verandah (balcony, 5th floor) for just me, myself, and I. I'm NOT a people person.. and I had NEVER BEEN on a cruise before.. so once I really started thinking about the fact that I was about to be stranded on a floating contraption with a boat load (lol) of people.. I started doubting my decision. But then. My sister came to visit.. and realizing her birthday was coming up we talked her husband into letting her and my 4 year old nephew go with me! (the price for ONE person is exactly the same as the price for TWO, so there was only an additional charge for the kiddo). Disney customer service is thebomb.com (Jay, it is the OPPOSITE OF turtles in peanut butter!) They were prior disney cruise members so it was easy peasy getting them added on.. even though it was less than two weeks in advance. Okay, grown ups: if you pick carnival or whatever else over disney because you have this idea that disney is only for families and kids... you are mistaken. Yes, it is kid friendly... but it was truly a "fun for all ages" type of deal. There are adult only pools, hot tubs, cafes, bars, and lounges.. as well as a fitness facility and spa. And on the PRIVATE ISLAND (yes Disney has its own provate island, and rhat was my FAVORITE part of thw trip!) There is an entire ADULT ONLY beach! .. I'm a kid at heart and a huge disney fan anyway.. so all the other family friendly stuff appealed to me too (water slides, big screen disney movies playing 24/7, characters all over the place to take pics with, interactive games, etc)... anyway, just get the idea out if your head that you shouldn't go on a disney cruise without a whole fanily in tow! Oh, and when we went to port in Nassau (not impressive) we were between two other huge cruise lines.. the Disney ship was like a diamond sitting between two lumps of coal. I wish I would've taken a picture of those big rust buckets to compare... the cruise was awesome and like I said, I love all things Disney.... but actually SEEING the difference in the ships and then overhearing conversations of folks from the carnival cruise about their experience ... THAT'S what is making me so loyal to Disney! But. THE FOOD! Breakfast and lunch are buffet style. And it's got the whole spread.. anything your heart desires, basically. On the private island days, if you're on Castaway you get a smaller BBQ style buffet.. not as much variety, but still good... but DINNER! You rotate dining locations each night (waitstaff rotates with you) and there is a new menu every night. You get an appetizer, soup or salad, entree, and dessert every night.. and they are AHHMAZING! 4-5 star quality food every single night. Take advantage of each course, even if you don't end up liking /eating it.. afterall, you're already paying for it! Non alcoholic drinks are included.. but if you want a buzz, you'll have to pay extra.. speaking of.. Disney is the only cruise I know of where you can bring alcohol on board with you (a 6 pack of beer or 2 bottles of wine in a carry on per person). Gosh, there's so much to talk about... like I said, the private island days were my fave... the ship was immaculately kept... the food was amazing.. and I didn't speak on it, but the kids club was so much fun that that's ALL my nephew wanted to do. Oh! And the nightly shows.. kind of corny, but cute! We watched Golden Mickey's (my fave), Disney Villains, and then another one about teaching a dad to believe in magic.. Oh my.. sorry for the long rambling yall.. but I could go on and on and on and on... I didn't think I'd have such a good time. But it was GREAT! I'm ready to go back!

Yelp
We have been on numerous cruises every year for the past 7 years and when we were able to book this year on the Wish we were extremely excited for the new ship. Unfortunately we were quickly disappointed with the service that was given. The ship is beautiful, however the service is a different story. Out of the 3 nights on board we only got to have dinner 1 night, the other 2 nights were cut short because dinner took over 2 hours and the last night the server gave my daughter the wrong salad that had nuts in it which we did not order a salad with nuts and it was so dark inside that we did not see them. Very disappointing for a brand new ship!

Yelp
Disney service does not disappoint, and the service on the Disney cruise lines exceed the parks by miles! Just wrapped up our second 7 day Disney Cruise and are planning our third for 2021. Don't be misled into thinking this is strictly for kids; there are just as many adult only areas as there are kids areas. And to answer the question, yes we have crossed with other cruise lines, but have found the Disney to be the best. The child care was a hit with our kids and afforded my wife and I a lot of alone time. With a couple of exceptions in the buffet area, the food in both the buffet and rotational dining was on par with several other 5 star restraints I have reviewed. The entertainment was phenomenal! Broadway shows were spectacular and bright the kid out b in me. My wife even got onto me for singing during some of the songs. The adults loved the formal night as did the girls who got to were their special dresses and makeup. Our favorite by far was pirate night with the pirate party and fireworks. Absolutely amazing. This care free trip is a must.

Yelp
Disney is on point with their efficiency. The check in and check out process is by the best in the industry. Disney does a great job with the service provided and the great experiences they show. I was able to watch one of their broadway style shows and forgot I was on a boat. Food is served pretty much all day and there is action packed calendar of activities given daily. We had a great veranda to overlook the ocean and my kids loved the bunk beds. Will definitely do another cruise again but stop on Disney's private island twice instead of once. Great experience, great food and great service

Yelp
Disney is the MOAC (Mother of all cruises), once you go Disney cruise, any other cruises are 3 stars or less! Great staff, friendly, helpful, always asking if we needed something else, they spoiled us! Food was excellent, I and well actually the whole group of us (19) ordered more than one main course (it is French style, so it's very little) and a whole ton of WOW dessert! My personal Fav is the strawberry shortcake dessert (can't get a photo fast enough before I finish them) Room service was good and friendly and the food great! The Salad with Salmon was excellent and we enjoyed it so much we keep ordering it a few times a day Photos with Disney characters could get long, so come early and prepare to wait, but while waiting enjoy the live music, go dance and have fun and meet new people Expensive but it was worth it! If you're one of the people who thinks of an expensive vacation as wanting to get rid of the ghost of the past moments, then go somewhere cheaper, but if you're the type of person who wants the best moments for your family and kids, I believe Disney is the right cruise for you

Yelp
This was my 9th Disney Cruise, I have also cruised with 2 other cruise companies and by Far Disney is the tops , it starts with an amazing and beautiful ship, followed by excellent entertainment , great food and top notch service which you would expect from Disney, even if you don't have kids the Disney cruise does a great job catering to the adults , with a private area at castaway cay, or the adult restaurants Remy and Palao , 5 stars all the way

Yelp
Our family has been on 9 Disney Cruises! We love them. Disney does everything right and has so much to do while on board. They are constantly updating their ships and activities to keep up with popular Disney trends like Star Wars, Marvel, Frozen, etc. The cruise staff is almost always pleasant and attentive to cruisers. One of our favorite things to do is see first run Disney movies in the theaters that are currently in theaters. This past cruise my husband and son saw Rogue One the day it came out. Up until this last cruise we have had hardly any complaints. However, this time around I have been quite disappointed in Disney's unresponsiveness to a major issue we've had...throughout our last cruise on The Disney Dream (suite room 11002) I kept being bitten by something at night. I assumed it was just part of being in The Bahamas and away from home. However, once we got home I continued to find small itchy welts (almost like spider bites) on my hands and body when I slept in my bed. This occurred every day. Then Christmas Eve my 4 year old slept with me and she woke up with a huge welt on her arm and a few more bites on her legs. I started thinking it could be bugs. So we stripped the sheets and pillows on the bed and threw them outside immediately and started washing them. Christmas night I showed a friend's Father-in-law (who is an ER doctor) the bites on both of us and he said undoubtedly those are bed bug marks. We disposed of our King size box mattress, luggage, AND our pillow top mattress and purchased another new mattress at close to $1000. We also had a pest control company come and spray our entire house for bugs. We emailed Disney Cruise concierge to alert them of the situation with pictures of our bites and I left a phone number for them so they could reach out to me. I received an email back from them stating this had been forwarded to guest relations. This was Dec. 25 and today is Jan. 1. Haven't heard a peep from Disney. I even wrote back saying I looked forward to hearing back on the 27th... I understand that bed bugs can easily be transferred from a hotel to the cruise ship. Perhaps the family before us brought bed bugs in on their luggage from where they were staying prior to the cruise then it transferred to the suite and we came in and the bugs transferred to us. However it happened I am certain disney has done everything they can to keep the ship and rooms clean. However, somehow we got bed bugs from the ship to our house. We live in Orlando so we did not stay in a hotel prior. I'm disappointed that Disney has not reached out to check in to see how we are doing or to ask any further questions. I am sharing pics of the bites. I'm sorry they aren't pretty to look at...

Yelp
Advice: Plan ahead and use a travel professional to book a Disney Cruise. My family (Wife with 2 small boys) took the 4 night Disney Dream Cruise to the Bahamas and the Castaway Island over the Halloween week. The Good: --------------- - All around great service and friendly staff. Everybody was all smiles and the kids enjoyed all the attention they got from the staff. - The shows were GREAT! I mean, this is Disney! - I've been to a bunch of cruise ships but never saw fireworks on a boat. The fireworks show was phenomenal. - Kids loved the character meet and greets, although you had to be there early since the lines could get long - Loved the Disney Navigator smart phone application that you could use to message other people on board and also set reminders for interesting calendar events and plan your daily activities. You will need to download this app before leaving home. - The Stateroom was spacious with a comfy bed. The couch flipped into a single bed for our oldest child easily, and the the top part of the ceiling converted into a bunk bed. -The stateroom was refreshed twice a day, which was awesome. - Awesome daycare (Explorers kids Club, etc) where you can drop off the kids and be free to do adult stuff. However, you have to pay extra some of the daycare service. The so-so: ------------------- - Disney cruises are the most expensive out there. Save, and plan in advance...but its worth it for the kids. - The cruise was really rocky, not sure if it was the rough seas, but this was the most rocky cruise I've ever been. Somehow the kids didn't care for it. -There aren't a lot of activities appropriate for children under three who don't yet "get" the characters. My 2 year old son was super scared of some Disney characters, I wish they had a small playground for smaller kids to burn off some of the energy they have. -The lines for the character appearances were always at least 15-20 minute long. You have to schedule in advance what character you want to see from the calendar of events and plan to be there at least 10-20 minutes before they are scheduled to appear. -The pictures are highly expensive if you want to get copies of the official pictures made ($20 for a single 8 x 10, $350 for the cruise CD). - Wifi is also expensive, and timed out on many occasions. - The food at the reserved dining areas (Royal Palace/Animator's Palate/Enchanted Garden) was somehow lacking, wife is a big foodie and she was not impressed with the food in the cruise. However, the food at the expensive dress-up restaurant called the Remy was to die for, but you end up shedding at least $200 for dinner! -Alcoholic drinks are pricey as you would expect from any cruise ship. See tip below to save you some $. FYI: Restaurants will charge a $20 corking fee for wine consumed with dinner. Tip: Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call.

Yelp
Must-do vacation! The level of quality and attention to detail is amazing! The crew gets to know you and truly cares about your day. The dining room servers learn your preferences and are fantastic. There are tons of characters that you would wait hours for in the parks. Their private island, Castaway Cay, is amazing! It is so clean with thousands of chairs, so you don't have to worry about not getting one. The water is crystal clear with lots of big fish in the snorkeling lagoon. The entertainment is nothing short of fantastic! We saw three broadway style shows including Aladdin and Frozen. They also had various other entertainers that were great.

Yelp
Best cruise ever! We went on the dream twice and love t. They have the best kids club and a great thing is they do lunch and dinner at kids club. That is very nice of them, another thing is that it is for all ages! Our server for dinner was doing magic tricks for us which we that was great. We went to the beauty and the beast show and it is free to see it no cash and there was popcorn at the shows to. What I also like is service is super good. Staterooms are good to. What I also like is at dinner you might sit with a different family so you can meet new people. Really good service best vacation you should come.

Yelp
Awesome cruise line, awesome service, and an awesome experience. My 8 year old daughter and myself took a trip via the Disney Dream. It was one of my favorite trips ever. We're already making plans to book another cruise. Everything was top notch. Granted, I haven't cruised other lines, but this has got to be one of the best. Food: People complained the food wasn't all that good, but I beg to differ. I thought the food was pretty good, especially considering the quantity that has to be prepared. Yet, quality didn't appear to be compromised. Service: Our servers and room host were beyond exceptional. Activities: There's so many! You'll never be bored. Room: I'm a budget traveler. I love to travel places but I'm good at finding ways to save money doing so. I booked the smallest room on the lowest level. And guess what? It was awesome...and actually more spacious that anticipated. No sea sickness! Transportation: Parking is available at the port. If you're not driving, you can take DCL Ground Transportation for $35/person each way.

Yelp
Disney just does it right. I would prefer to go on a Disney Cruise than any other adult cruise lines. Just their attention to detail is crazy.

Yelp
We'd heard from others that a Disney Cruise is the best way to get a vacation with your children where you as parents of young children can actually get some down time. So we decided to bite the bullet and make it a memorable trip. We went on a 4-night Disney Dream to Nassau and Castaway Cay with a day at sea. Our family of 4 got a room with a veranda, which had a queen sized bed and bunk beds made from the sofa and a bed that pulled down from the ceiling (complete with a starry night printed on the ceiling). The room was clean, more spacious that I'd expected, and very well cared for by our steward. We started by eating lunch in one of the sit down restaurants, and lucky for us, got a round booth that we could use to contain our excited children. The dining staff is very professional, especially when dealing with the children - special plates, ketchup in the shape of Mickey, drinks with lids, friendly and encouraging reminders for behavior. This professionalism continued throughout the trip. The only thing that I found a bit lacking was our sommelier/drinks server wasn't as seasoned particularly when it came to specialty drinks not on the featured cocktail list or the wine. The food was good, not great, but when you consider the number of people that they're serving in 3 sit down restaurants for 2 seatings, not to mention the buffets that are always open, it really is impressive. In general, I found the seasoning lacking (I love spice and heat), and I thought everything was too sweet, especially the cocktails. Even when we paid extra for the smoothies in the spa area, they didn't have the flavor I was expecting. We did splurge for a meal at Remy, and that was delicious and worth it. The service was impeccable of course, and so many bites and tastes in between actual courses! My husband got the American tasting menu while I got the French - both were amazing and it was great to compare and contrast the two. I loved the little details that could be traced to Ratatouille (the movie) to make it more playful, but not at all childish. Rather than go into Nassau, we played at the water park on the ship, and of course there was the day at sea. The lifeguard staff was great - always professional even when telling the kids not to jump into the Mickey pool for the 100th time in 10 minutes. The lines for the slides can get a bit long, but I was certainly amused at how my 4yo could wait for the Mickey slide patiently for 15 minutes, but couldn't stand still to stay in line for the 15 minute wait to board the boat... The private island was great, larger than I expected, with plenty of activity. We got off as soon as we could to do the 5K, dropping our kids at Scuttles Cove immediately, claiming our chairs on our way to the start line. The race was hot, but they had water and timer, and why not. The day on the beach was lovely, with the boys enjoying the swim up playground and water slide in the lagoon. Kids club staff was awesome, but really all the staff was patient and understanding of kids and parents. The boys enjoyed all the activities and the time there, especially on the island. While we don't think this is something we'll do every year, it was a good experience, and we'll probably go back in a few years.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. Expensive, yes. Busy, yes. But worth it. Cabin - roomy for a cruise. Balcony is a must! Watching the ocean in the morning as your sipping coffee is perfect. The room service they bring to your cabin is awesome, big selection and the food was very good. There are so many things to do on the ship that I don't have enough space to tell you about it. There's constantly things going on, karaoke, games, contest, food things. The ship is first class no question. The movie theater inside is phenomenal and we caught Captain Marvel on it's opening night while on the ship. Yes Disney is expensive but it is well worth it. Try out at least once. Palo The Italian eatery do you have to make reservations for was phenomenal. The buffets were stellar with so many choices of food to eat. The pools were nice although small. Go enjoy a Disney cruise at least once in your life you won't regret it.

Yelp
WARNING!!! IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES DO NOT BOOK A CRUISE ON THE DISNEY WONDER!! Earlier this week, I filed a 7-page, comprehensive, formal complaint, which included solutions, with the Disney Cruise Line regarding numerous and dangerous accessibility issues that we experienced on our May 16, 2018 cruise with our disabled daughter. Our daughter requires the use of a transport-style wheelchair any time she is out of the her home or out of the stateroom. We also copied our formal complaint to Cruise Line International Association, Department of Justice ADA and The Open Doors organization. This review does not allow room for me to include the entire 7-page complaint, so anyone wishing to receive a copy, may PRIVATE MESSAGE me through Yelp, and I will email it to you. The serious accessibility issues that we encountered onboard the Wonder are as follows: 1: Elevators that are too small, doors that do not stay open long enough and door sensors that are inoperable. 2: Exterior to interior thresholds are impassible on Deck 9 without assistance. It took 3-4 adults to get our daughter over the threshold on Deck 9 (Pool, restaurants, coffee shop, movie theatre, etc): 2 people to lift her wheelchair, and 1-2 people to hold the doors open! 3: Severely limited number of automatic, ADA, entry doors. The one ADA door that we found did not stay open long enough to even push our daughter through it before it began closing. 4: A treacherous and narrow gangplank was used in Victoria BC, which had 2 very steep switchbacks. See Photo. Prior to disembarking, we consulted with a crew member at the entry gangway, who assured us, that the gangplank was, "fine," for disembarking with our wheelchair. In reality, it was very dangerous, and took both my wife and I, and all of our strength, to safely get the wheelchair, and our daughter, to the bottom of the steep gangplank. Upon re-boarding the Wonder, there was no assistance available, or crew member present, to help us push our daughter back up the treacherous gangplank. We were forced to plead to a fellow passenger who we did not know to ask for help to push our daughter back onto the ship. 5: There is crucial accessibility information that is intentionally being omitted and hidden from Disney's Special Services Information form. In addition, there are NO warning signs, call buttons or crew members present to offer assistance in the areas of inaccessibility. Nor, are any of the major accessibility issues listed above "revealed" in any written, online or onboard materials. Ana Carter, with the Executive Offices of Disney Cruise Line, called me today to response to our complaint. The essence of Ana's response was dismissive, to say the least. Instead of taking responsibility and caring about what happened to our daughter, and ourselves, onboard the Wonder, Ana, instead, chose to blame our travel agent, stating that she should have informed us that we needed to complete the Special Services Information form prior to our cruise. Fortunately, 100% of the time, we do not require any assistance when traveling with our daughter. We do not use accessible staterooms, require airport assistance, or any other type of assistance from anyone, at anytime. Nothing on the Special Services Information form applied to us so we did not complete it. Had the Special Services Information form disclosed the magnitude of the accessibility issues onboard the Wonder for persons with mobility issues, we would have had a reason to complete it. The only thing worse than the blatant negligence displayed onboard the Wonder in regards to accessibility, was how Ana handled her response to our complaint. She took NO responsibility, whatsoever, for any of our complaint issues. Instead, Ana, blamed our travel agent and blamed us for not completing the Special Services Information form, inferring that had we completed it, assistance would have been available to us at all times. Absurd! Again, had the accessibility issues outlined above been "revealed" on the Special Services Information form, we would have "known" to complete it. We will NEVER entrust our disabled daughter's safety and security to a Disney Cruise Line ship ever again. IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES, THINK TWICE BEFORE CHOOSING DISNEY CRUISE LINE FOR YOUR NEXT CRUISE.
