"Enchanté is shaping up to be Southampton’s version of Pastis, with rich mid-century décor and French bistro classics, including a dedicated frites menu and a suitably lavish list of champagne."

"A new bistro owned by Heath Freeman, who happens to own New York Daily News (and a handful of other media sites), premiered earlier this month, with a chic decor and cozy banquette-filled corner.  Look for standards like onion soup, pate, cote de boeuf for two and roast chicken with truffle jus." - Beth Landman

Charming place new to the Hamptons. Such a lovely atmosphere. Mike is amazing host and such great hospitality all around through the team. We liked the great French dishes on the menu, quaint location, and warm decor. I recommend coming for dinner with family or friends - really lovely place! Try the escargots, beet salad, duck, steak poivre and, of course, a great bottle of wine! 🍷

Great food! We sat at the bar and had couple appetizers...Escargo and Salmon Tartare...and drinks. They have live entertainment on Thursdays too.

Amazing food! Such a great atmosphere. We had a great time. We ordered three salads to share and all of them were great. Then I ate the trout which was so delicious with a almond butter flavor. The wine and company made my experience 5 star.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Enchanté Bistro, and I must say that it was an experience unlike any other. From the moment I stepped through the elegant entrance, I knew I was in for a treat. Enchanté Bistro is a true gem among culinary establishments. It surpasses all expectations with its exquisite ambiance, impeccable service, and culinary delights that tantalize the taste buds. This is a restaurant where every aspect of the dining experience has been carefully curated to perfection. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking an extraordinary gastronomic adventure, Enchanté Bistro is the place to be.

Another overpriced American version of a French Bistro. The atmosphere was clean and extremally simple, not particularly charming and very noisy. The house champaign was $38 a flute, the bread looked interesting but lacked taste and certainly not to French standards. My black and blue tuna was served medium well and unrecognizable as fresh fish. The Crème Brulee dessert was pure sugar and lacked taste. On a positive note fresh oysters and scallops entrée were delicious. The service was very professional. We expected much more from the Hospitality Group's new restaurant, hopefully they will work out the kitchen and improve the menu.

I visited in September off-season on a Friday night. Food is ok, probably over seasoned. Desserts are over-the-top. I miss Red Bar Brasserie the French brasserie (“Big Red”) formerly in the same location.

The restaurant was really nice, food really good, but they had a guitar player that was so loud you could not speak to the person across from you. I would only go back without the live music, the DJ was very good after.

As a longtime resident of Southampton and, a frequent guest of the Red Bar, I was intrigued to see if Enchanté could pull it off… They did! From the energetic atmosphere, the moment you walk into the establishment and are warmly greeted by the superb hospitality of the general manager, Corrado, who will pour you a glass of champagne while he meticulously fillets a Dover sole, everything about this place is a winner!! If you are up for it, order the Soufflé for dessert (but make sure you pre order as it does take a while to prepare)...Make sure Corrado introduces you to his wonderful daughter who servers you with her brilliant smile...Can't wait for the fall when the town calms down and we can go and have a nice quiet meal off season...Add it to your lists of "musts".. Yelp
Not as "Enchante"-ing as you think The atmosphere is very nice and elegant. The scallops were tasteful and well presented. Rating: A The Tuna Tartar was different, but not in a good way. The ginger was overpowering without the radish and it left a lingering taste in my mouth. I couldn't taste the tuna or the avocado. Rating: C- The rest of the meal was....a TRAIN WRECK for the rest of my party. The steak had to be sent back 3 times because it wasn't hot. Each time it came back barely warm and more well-done. We gave up after the third time, when, despite them saying they would make a new steak, the same one came back so burnt it was inedible, and STILL NOT HOT!!! If I'm being fair, the fries were exceptional. As they should for any French bistro. The duck was supposed to be "tender" according to our server, but came out cold and tough. When we sent it back and asked them to change it to the scallops, they sent back the duck cold a second time. Finally on the third try they bought a nice scallops dish. Overall rating C+ Service B Atmosphere A Food: C: needs work

Yelp
New this season, in the old Red Bar space, the food firstly is excellent - think a cross between Balthazar and le Bilboquet - the only place where you can get a soufflé and escargot in Southampton. Service is good though when we were there it was a Saturday night and every table was full leading to a little delay between courses though worth it - the food was great. My quibble is the noise level - the low ceiling and lack of noise deadening make the sound (without music) unintelligible. I could not hear the other guests at the table we were at and my Apple Watch started buzzing warning my of temporary deafness if exposed for longer than 30 minutes - as dinner took about an hour and a half I was left with a residual buzzing noise still there at the time of writing this review. Parking is limited aided by a valet and roadside parking - as the neighbors have a lot of unkempt foliage hanging over the sidewalk be ready in The dark to walk into some plant life... Dear Enchante, Please fix the acoustics issue as your food is great!

Yelp
My wife and I had an amazing dinner during our stay during summer 2024. Atmosphere and most importantly the food was on point. I highly recommend it

Yelp
I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt because it is good and we just need some quality places to stick around in Southampton village. It's a cute restaurant. I appreciate their decor. Adorable little swing outside and the interior is very warm and inviting. The food was actually excellent- the gnocchi was fantastic, oysters were fresh. French onion soup was actually sublime - I'd recommend it highly. Only big issue we faced was: we had vegetarians at the table and ordered very specific vegetarian food items but these items came with meat and were then consumed by the veg folks. It feels like there might be an attention to detail issue considering they are new... maybe if you have a life threatening allergy, avoid this and go to a tried and true spot.

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner this evening. Food and service was excellent My husband order mussels which was outstanding I had the beet salad which was delicious and for my main course the scallops were the best i ever had My daughter also enjoyed the beet salad and duck breast for her dinner I highly recommend this place for a great dinning experience

Yelp
This place is A+, for those who understand the restaurant business it takes a place 1-3 months to get a rhythm going. They've got their rhythm now. The atmosphere and the food is amazing. Highly recommend this place. Its become my go-to. The semi-speak easy bar is absolutely awesome.

Yelp
Disappointing in food, service and ambience. Enchante has a sister restaurant in Easthampton where The calls for reservations are taken. Unknown to us when making the reservations, SiSi answered and took the reservation without mentioning There were two restaurants. When we arrived at Enchante in Southampton they did not have our reservations. The "hostess" was belligerent, condescending and argumentative. They finally sat us begrudgingly. The music was too loud. The staff was not well trained. The food was not good enough to return another day.

Yelp
Obviously a new restaurant that needs some time to work things out. To start, we came at the beginning of dinner service and walked through the empty dining room to be sat in a back room with only two tables with no windows? This seemed extremely odd and unprofessional when we had requested a table in the main dining room. The bread was cold and the gougeres seemed like they were purchased frozen and heated up. The escargot and ratatouille were fine, not really to the scale of a fine French bistro. We had to send two burgers back because the medium order came out completely raw which was disappointing. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive each time and did not arrive in time for any of the meal service. Drinks should hit table before placing food orders, dessert arrive before after dinner drinks, etc. A few kinks to work out, hopeful with some updates this could be a fantastic spot! Servers and hostess were gracious.

Yelp
Best French restaurant in the Hamptons! Loved the filet Rossini and the duck. Great vibe and friendly staff. Definitely my new spot in South Hampton.

Yelp
The host was very rude and told us that we may not have a table that we reserved a while ago. We had proof of the email reservation, but was ignored. So we left and will never go back.

Marcy W.

Yelp
We have eaten there twice. It's a new restaurant. The first time there were kinks to get out. They were very accommodating. The staff was attentive and very nice. The food good. It's a beautiful restaurant, and the second time was even better. Remember it's new after 2 years of COVID and staff still a problem across the board give it a second.
