The Ultimate Guide to Dining and Drinking in Fredericksburg, Texas | Eater Austin
"Massive pink granite dome and state natural landmark offering approximately 11 miles of trails and panoramic Hill Country views; the area is especially scenic during wildflower season and enforces trail closures (most trails close 30 minutes after sunset) to protect visitors and the site." - Brittany Britto Garley
Breath taking views from the Big Bald rock!!! Bring plenty of water and good hiking shoes. Also try the snow cones after the summit trail.

A wonderful and very different trail, the park ranger was a sweetheart and is at the service of any guests questions, the hick itself was good other than the burning Texas sun I had fun.

Great view and a lot of fun hiking up to the top. Don't be fooled, it is a fairly challenging hike mainly because of the steep elevation. As long as you are prepared for that you'll have a great time and be able to see an awesome view.

Extraordinary park with a few climbable mountains of granite , enchanted rock summit is around 1,200 foot elevation and the rock itself is 425 feet tall. You can stargaze at night at the top of the rock and also camp out at their sites.

Really nice facilities and friendly staff. The parking lot is really well maintained and so is the park. The rock is actually a pretty easy hike. I personally like there is not a super obvious trail so you explore more. There is a great view too!
I think it helps if you get reservations. A Texas park pass is a great idea if you like parks. You can reserve a spot a few days ahead of time so you don’t have to worry about park capacity.

Enchanted Rock can definitely sneak up on you if you’re not pacing yourself. That incline looks deceptively easy from the bottom, but it’s a workout! Taking your time lets you enjoy the views, the breeze at the top, and all the cool rock formations along the way.

Beautifully kept trails that are well marked. The size of the rocks are larger than a house. The actual enchanted Rock is much larger than what the pictures lead you to believe. It's amazing to think how the area was made over millions and millions of years. Very nice gift shop that is well-stocked and friendly people. Make sure to bring plenty of water and a little money to take home a souvenir. Dogs are also allowed on two trails depending on your hiking interests. There are also plenty of places to park and camp areas, restrooms, and showers. Although the shower building was closed when I visited.

You got a great setup My the only downfall is they're parking lot is extremely tiny. Go get there early if you want an opportunity to car camp. I came in late and the only camping that was available was packing which actually ended up pretty nice.
