"In this modern restaurant that stands out for its terrace (on the 7th floor of the Radisson Collection Hotel), chef Eneko Atxa conjures up cuisine that combines traditional Basque cooking and the occasional contemporary touch. The concise à la carte is well complemented by three tasting menus: Bilbao, Bizkaia, and Vegetariano (a children’s menu is also available). If you’re keen to try one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, make sure you order the egg yolk with “estofado de trigo”." - Michelin Inspector

The location is hard to find when you search for it. It took us 25 minutes longer to get there, and when we arrived, no one greeted us, even though we had a table reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. We chose the tasting menu for 40 euros per person. The only thing we really enjoyed was the bread. The rest of the dishes didn’t have the rich flavors we expected from a Michelin-starred restaurant. However, the timing of the courses was well-paced, which we appreciated. It would have been helpful if the waiters explained more about the dishes, especially since it’s Basque cuisine, which many people may not be familiar with.

Amazing place where the staff is welcoming, professional and speak an excellent English. They helped me to plan a surprise birthday cake in advance by email for my husband, he was so happy!!! The dinner was delicious, we choose the bizkaia course at 69 euros per person which was delightful. So delicate and tasty ! We were quite full at the end of the meal but my husband was very happy of his birthday dinner he said. Thank you for offering us such a good experience!

Nice interior, excellent food, catastrophic service. Waiter was new and did neither understand my fluent Spanish nor any English. She pretended that no wine menu/ card existed although it had been supplied to neighbor table. Then she booked a full bottle of white wine on the bill, whereas I had ordered 1 Glas of Cava and 1 Glas of white wine (the latter never arrived). No advice, that the food ordered did not contain Any side dishes. My plate was taken away while I was still chewing also taking away the bread that I was about to finish. All waiters were carrying microphones and a VHF for connection to kitchen as if we were at Mc Donald’s A pity for the promising evening and the high standard of food. Colleagues apologized, but had also no idea of offering at least a free espresso. Service does not meet at all the standards expected from the Michelin rating. Never again.

I booked a table at this restaurant on the advice of a friend. But there might be a mixup as the chef, Eneko Atxa, seems to have several restaurants in the area with a similar name, leading to confusion. The service was average and the 7 course menu not worth the 71€ price. Only one dish was excellent. The others were OK. Oh and they were too quickly served. In one hour we were done. We took wine by the glass and the wine bottles were poured without any explanation whatsoever. Not even their names were mentioned. After we paid, the staff ignored us completely. They didn’t even say thank you nor goodbye. Last but not least, we were seated next to a cluttered table where you can clearly see dust on the upper left corner (see picture). For a restaurant at this price range, this is a sign that something is wrong. In conclusion: overpriced, unprofessional staff, restaurant not spotless.

Nice Japanese Spanish fusion cuisine. A bit overpriced for the portions. The service was nice but a bit slow for the little guests that were there. Being part of a Radisson hotel set my expectations a bit higher perhaps. Nevertheless a good place for a quiet nice evening dinner. Better to order a la carte rather than the closed menu. Unsure about repeating.

When I was looking into reviews, I just found hilarious comments: I didnt visit restaurant, but giving 1* only as I was disappointed by hotel. So unfair. We tried tasting menu and it was really delicious. I liked the restaurant interior, staff and if I can, chef will deserve more than 5* for the food. Some pics attached, but some dishes disappeared before I realized I might take a pic. Next time in Bilbao I will come back!

We made reservations through the app The Fork when we arrived from the US. What a disappointment. One person working there, no manager to complain to. Disinterest from the server as if she was bored working there. And the place was next to empty. The food was great and the presentation of the food was nice, but the ambience was lacking. There are too many better restaurants in Bilbao than to waste your time here.

Fusion of Basque and Japanese cuisines. Some great courses like baby shrimps nigiri or red mullet. Main course - tuna from robata grill also amazing. Nice ambience on top of it. Very helpful staff. You don’t feel it’s a hotel restaurant at all, which is a complement.
