Eneko Basque

Great experience! While in the lobby area of a hotel, it felt high end and the food was done well. We had both the tasting menu and à la carte because the tasting menu went against some dietary restrictions I had at the time. Everything was well portioned and delicious. My only complaint is that sometimes it felt like it took too long for the next course to come by. It was also very well priced. The best olives I’ve had in my life!

We visited Eneko Basque, located in the lobby of a hotel. The place itself is beautiful and luxurious, with very nice lighting and an elegant atmosphere. Regarding the food, the experience was mixed. Some dishes were good, others were just OK. The presentation was nice, but not all dishes matched the high expectations set by the setting. Unfortunately, our arrival experience was quite awkward. We waited for about 10 minutes without anyone approaching us, speaking to us, or even acknowledging us. We were unsure whether to seat ourselves or wait, as no guidance was given. Eventually, we decided to choose a table ourselves. At that moment, a woman—who seemed to work in the kitchen—approached us in a very rude and angry manner. There was no apology, and her attitude was unprofessional. She took us to another table, and when we asked if we could sit elsewhere, she said she would check but never came back. What truly improved the experience was the gentleman who served us afterward. He was very kind, professional, and attentive, and he made a real effort to compensate for the poor first impression and the unpleasant situation at the beginning. Overall, the restaurant has great potential due to its beautiful setting, but the inconsistency in food and the unwelcoming arrival experience significantly affected our visit.

Extremely disappointing for a Michelin-recommended restaurant. Feels like a hotel lobby, not a fine dining space (fake flowers still with labels). Baby chair was filthy, which is unacceptable. Service was careless: self-service for water and wine, poor wine recommendations, slow pace, and tables left uncleared. Despite clearly stating I don’t eat poultry or derivatives, a dish was served with raw egg yolk and staff tried to justify it before simply removing it, leaving residue instead of remaking the dish. Food was below average across the board: overly aggressive starters, bland courses, overcooked meat, cold sides, and fish with an unpleasant metallic smell. Desserts were forgettable. Not worth the reputation or recommendation. I will not return.

Food was nice. Service could be improved: - repetitively asked to order water after I said no - did not ask preferred level of meat cooked beforehand. Dish came to my table and then i was asked if this is good - forgot to collect spoon for esfuma after steak, so I had two spoons when having dessert - took 40 minutes from my last spoon to checkout, while I very obviously stared every staff passing by. I had to raise hand in the end. More staff or better training suggested Not really sure I would return.

Had the first tasting menu. Everything was perfect until the egg yolk on wheat stew. That dish probably had a whole bag of salt in it. I only had two bites but the server didn’t say or do anything about it. The fish was a little salty too, and the beef was hard to chew. Dessert was great though. I also really like the ambiance here.

This was a very nice menu! The chef combines unexpected flavor, structures and temperatures to match together to a new taste. The staff were excellent, the wine was delicious and on top of that the pricing was very reasonable. I will come back!

We had high expectations of this place, with roots coming from the Basque country. We were not disappointed. From the starters (we tried the first 4, all fantastic) to the mains (we tried the hake, Iberian pork and sirloin steak), they were bursting with interesting flavours and unique takes on regular recipes. Sorry we didn't have space for dessert as the portions were generous and we struggled to finish all of the food. But, it was all good. Ps: we didn't get to enjoy any live piano though.

If you're looking for a place to indulge your senses and enjoy a memorable evening in Seville, l would recommend Eneko Basque. Allow yourself to be swept away by the delicious food, the captivating music, and the welcoming ambiance. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
