"This Jacksonville Beach brewery is the perfect spot to visit before or after hitting the surf and sand. Engine 15 Brewing Co. features refreshing brews including a seasonal citrusy lemon shandy, and a thirst-quenching lager that’s available year-round. Besides beer, the brewpub is a favorite for its food menu built to highlight and pair perfectly with beer with dishes like Cuban sandwiches, piled high Frito pie, and a smoked tomato BLT." - Megan duBois

Packed on Friday for Happy Hour. A large selection of craft beers. We had the Pils and the Czech Dark Lager. Both of them were excellent. A solid brewery.

Very cool spot with a small outdoor seating area. The beer was great. Need to go back and try more.

Came here for the first time on July 24, 2022. Heard good thing about this place so wanted to give it a try. My first take was with fire department name as such I was hoping to see old fire engine or fire department decor. This is not really the case, it was in name only, pretty much nothing inside said Firefighters or Fire Engine. No big deal, but if your looking for a firefighter bar this is not it. Now on to the beers. Great selection and range of taste, there is something for everyone. Here the let down, I like my beer cold. I understand some beer are served a little warmer, but almost room temp for one is not acceptable. The service was okay, you can tell it has a local following so they get taken care of pretty fast the rest of us need to be patient. It wasn't very busy and a little pricey but worth the visit. I will return to see if they were just having a sub par day. Hopefully I can bump it up to 4 stars.

Google
Great brewery they have approximately 45 taps with a nice selection of guest taps. We had a couple flights, "good beer", and the Chicago dogs. The food was really good. Service was outstanding! I really like this brewery.

Mircea

Google
Great selection of draft beers, Captain AHOP was my favorite. Very good pub food to go with the beer. Very friendly service!

Google
Laid back and welcoming atmosphere. Beer choices are utterly astounding. Lovey gets the beer flight and I always get an IPA. I'm a man of intellectual decisiveness. We like to come here when we are down from the cape in the winter months. The decor is charming and eclectic just like my Lovey. If you are ever faced with the choice of a three hour boat tour or Engine 15, I implore you to choose the latter.

Upon entering Engine 15, we could feel a very friendly local atmosphere within. It was lunch hour and there were some guests sitting on the bar seats, chatting, having a drink and catching the local sport action. We were told by a staff over the counter that we could sit anywhere. She came by with the menu and we were told that we can make the orders at the counter once we’re ready. Here are food and beer menu of Engine 15 Brewery (E15). Located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, Engine 15 Brewery (or simply E15) offers a selection of craft beers, rotating on one of 30 tap lines in the brewery. As a full-fledged restaurant, Engine 15 also offers some excellent bar grubs that goes pretty well with the beers on tap. While browsing the menu, we stumbled upon the Liquid Lunch Menu that is available from Tuesdays to Fridays from 11am to 3pm. If you choose any of the following food items during this period, you’ll get a FREE 15oz DRAFT BEER! 😋 Delicious Eats – Liquid Lunch Menu (Tuesdays to Fridays from 11am to 3pm) Choose any of the following and get a free 15oz draft beer 1. Yelp
I love this brewery. Ben coming for many years. Bartenders always great. Beer selection is always delicious.

Brendia T.

Yelp
My husband was well satisfied with the Beer he had at this cozy spot. He thought the variety of their Beers was top notch. Being a foodie, I thought the bar cuisine was just so so. But we were there for the beer, etc did not disappoint.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
What a sweet brewery! The beers are really good and they have a decent food menu. There are some lunch specials that I want to come back and try. The only food I had was fish dip and that was refreshing and went well with the beer. I love the vibes inside and the bartender was really friendly and let me try whatever I wanted before making a decision. Adding this place to my list of favorite breweries!

Mia T.

Yelp
Engine 15 is a great brewery with a lot of room for activities and festivities. I enjoy this spot because for one it is a super cool venue overall. The staff and beer selection are on point as well. I really like the vibe here and can enjoy a few beers with friends for many occasions. I recently came here for a birthday party and had a great time. They also have plenty of options to keep you entertained while you enjoy some beers. There are board games, outdoor games, places for dogs to sniff around, and things for kids to do to keep them busy. I think this brewery has it all!

Michelle D.

Yelp
I've been going to Engine 15 for several years. They have tons of draft beer options and will let you sample until you find something you like. The vibe was laid back with seating inside and out. They have two sizes of drafts. I ordered the small, which cost $4.84 (with tax). What? A beer for less than $5, and it wasn't happy hour. I had the Art Thiolized IPA. It was refreshing with a light hoppy flavor. Nice! I've tried a few menu options which were original and tasty. Service has always been good. If you like relaxing with a cold beer in hand, Engine 15 is a good place to start.

Christina B.

Yelp
So many great beers and guest taps. Love the beer hall style seating. And the hot dogs and mac n cheese were amazing.

Rick P.

Yelp
I was looking for place for Jacksonville jaguars playoff game. Not too large and would not be too packed and enough screens to see the game. Good reviews for the place. Engine 15 brewing fit the bill. Plenty of different types of beer on tap to meet the pickiest of people for a beer. Only thing, not a full bar with what to offer for alcohol. Started off with a beer and pigs in the blankets. Plenty of sauces for dipping. Even had BBQ sauce for candyce. Really good. I had the 2 brats with saurkraut for my main course. Candyce had the brisket sandwich. She enjoyed it very much. Brats were good and juicy. Others in group really enjoyed the place. Glad I checked it out beforehand. Unfortunately the jags did not win but Plenty of people cheering them on that Saturday afternoon. Will be back. Great venue for meeting friends, have brewpub food and watch games.

Matt T.

Yelp
Awesome brewery in Jacksonville Beach! I was in town for the Gator Bowl and decided to check out Jacksonville Beach on a Thursday night. The brewery is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. There were multiple TVs at the brewery and they had college and NFL football on. I started off with a flight and then ordered a pint. Prices were very reasonable for the beer. My favorite beer was the It's Your Blood (Red Ale - Irish) but everything I tried was very good. Service was very quick. They have food but I already ate dinner so I did not try anything from the kitchen.

Eddie C.

Yelp
Solid brewery in J-ville. Great list of tapped beers. I enjoyed their Dreaming of Minich and Dunkel beer and their Woody Sack a barrel aged brown ale. I als had their frito pie small plate and brats dinner. Good food, Cool vibe, delicious beer and great service. Love the name too since I come from a family of fire fighters.

Scott L.

Yelp
Fantastic beer selection. The pretzel was amazing, fresh and doughy. Fresh, right out of the oven. The brisket was pretty good. The dip made it excellent. I'll for sure be heading back.

Tara K.

Yelp
Very welcoming craft brewery near the beaches. I had the Lager, hubby had the stout, my 15 yr old had one of their craft sodas. All very good. We also had a Sack o Nuts-which are truly delicious-wish every brewery would make these !! It's a Friday night, we arrived about 5-no problem finding a table, by the time we left, the place was packed! Very clean and bartenders are super friendly.

Hannah G.

Yelp
I love Engine 15! They have amazing beer, great food, and their trivia is super fun! Also it's in an old firehouse which is a super cool vibe! All the bartenders there are great.

Allison R.

Yelp
From the outside this brewery looks small but there is so much space indoors and the amount of beers on tap is amazing! There is definitely something for everyone. The "It's Your Blood" red ale was one of the best red ales I've had. We decided to eat there too. Usually I'm hesitant about bar food, but they had this Reuben on special I decided to try. Holy cow, that was the best Reuben I've ever had!! It was huge! Packed full of meat and sauerkraut, with perfectly toasted rye bread and just the right amount of 1000 island dressing. Seriously amazing flavors and great value.

Kristine S.

Yelp
Engine 15 has the best of both worlds - great brew options and elevated bar food! Hubby and I stopped by after work one night and enjoyed a few of their delicious brews and staying for dinner once the menu looked really good. The Nut Sack Double Brown Ale was a great beer as was the Bacon Is My Jam. Engine 15 is up there as far as unique brew options! They have a bunch that they brew in house plus other brews from local breweries in Jax, other states and even other countries. Their food menu is pretty legit for a brewery. We ordered a few items to share. The pigs in blankets were very good! The cocktail smokies wrapped in puff pastry were buttery and hot - yum! The sweet hot mustard on the side was an excellent combination. The order of empanadas came with 2 so that worked out well. I loved the olives and raisins in the beef mixture. The B-B-Cuban was great! It felt half like a BBQ sandwich and half like a Cuban sandwich. The smoky flavor in the pork really came through. Chips and queso were a great side, totally worth the extra $1. Can't wait to stop in again soon!

Patti C.

Yelp
So much fun meeting friends for an evening 3.2 run for charity! The rewards were plenty with the refreshing brews and, not being a sour gal (heh) I really enjoyed the Tiki sour... very island-like! And that Cuban sammie....so yum!

Rob F.

Yelp
Dude! Why I have been driving by this place?? Our neighbor recently mentioned how good the food is here .... We decided to pop in Friday evening. Arrived around 6:45p & snagged 2 seats at the bar - Sweet! This gave us a chance to review the beer selection & "people watch" as folks came up for beers. Upon sitting down, we met Fletcher who was super cool & recommended a few beers for both my wife & I who have different tastes - Score! He nailed both our types & we enjoyed their brews (I like IPA's while wifey likes wheats). He also gave us a run-down on the menu ... we had just missed happy hour on their small bites ('til 7p) but we were hungry & had something bigger in mind. Wife ordered the BLT & I got the beer brisket w/ au jus .... We were expecting pub-grade food but Holy Sh*t Batman!!! I'm not sure where to start on the BLT except to say it's probably The.Best.BLT.I've.Ever.Had!! The bacon & smoked tomatoes w/ their garlic aioli - My mouth is watering just thinking about it while I type this review ... and this was my wife's sandwich ;-) OMG! The brisket dip was Out-Frickin-standing! I'm kind of a beef dip snob but this brisket was a new idea / concept to me they nailed it! BEER Selection - a wide variety so you should be able to find something for everyone's palate. There were several local Engine 15 IPA's that I want to go back & try, including a triple IPA & some West Coast styles as well. Also had some ciders & wine but hey, this is a brewery so I came for the beer! Atmosphere - a normal brewery with your typical set up. Lots of tables & more importantly, several free games to play from Jenga to Battle Ship in case ya want to recreate and do more than sip brews & chat. Can't wait to come back & check Fletcher & crew again. I think I'm getting that dang BLT fer sure!!

Therese H.

Yelp
Excellent little place. Such a cool atmosphere and great beer. Food was reasonably priced and good too!

Jason Z.

Yelp
This is our go to beach craft brewery. The nut sack double brown is THE beer to get here.

Alex P.

Yelp
Great experience when visiting here. Sat at the bar. Enjoyed two flights and a pretzel with my brother in law. The atmosphere is welcoming and not intimidating by any means. The selection of beer was off the charts and this place is not huge by any means. The bartender was more than friendly and very helpful when selecting beers. Sometimes you visit breweries and there's some intimidation with all the choices and busy times. Nice to not feel rushed, ignored or out of place. Other staff was also very friendly asking if we had any questions. Pretzel was a great small addition to the beers. The beers were fantastic and if you try one you don't like don't worry there's plenty more options you can try. I would recommend the flights for first comers like I was.

Anthony C.

Yelp
The place is very clean and the beers are great. The service was excellent. Nice seating area and a small patio out front if you don't mind listening to traffic. I loved the other location before it closed. The bathrooms are single person and very clean. The food smells ama

Jessica V.

Yelp
In addition to an extensive tap list including many local craft beers, Engine has THE BEST bar food. Take my advice and order the empanadas, they are a must with every visit! Not only are they $4 for two, but they are the owner's Nana's recipe. Need I say more? I think not. Other delicious items on their menu that I've tried: Pulled pork sandwich (topped with coleslaw, mustard based bbq sauce, and comes with a side), chips and queso, Brisket Dip Sandwich (topped with sautéed peppers & onions, melted Swiss cheese and a side of au jus). Outdoor seating, game area, and disinfectant on each table.

John O.

Yelp
Always a favorite stop at the beach. Great beers, both house made and other local brews. My favorite is the Nut Sack Brown Ale. Very good bar food as well; smoked fish dip, soft pretzels, frito pie, brats, chili, flatbreads, and wraps. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, lots of room. We haven't visited in a while but that's our fault, not theirs. Recap: great food, great beer, great staff!

Jenifer K.

Yelp
Huge variety of beers on tap and very good food. We got the nuts and couldn't even put a dent in how many you get.. great for a big group. The pigs in a blanket were yummy brisket sandwich was tender and tasty!

Crystal O.

Yelp
Engine 15 has a wide variety of beer types: ales, IPAs, stouts, saisons, lagers. They offer flights which is the best way to sample everything. They offer a good selection of "guest taps" from local and national brews. Special events are held with seasonal beers and other activities. The bar also offers standard soft drinks and specialty "microbrew" soft drinks like specialty root beers, cream sodas, and the like. There is a menu with a variety of snacks and meals. I had the frito pie with beer cheese and the house chili. The chili is heavy on the ground beef, onions, and beans; very filling and tasty. My husband had two bratwursts with steamed buns and topped with chili. Other offerings include soft pretzels, pigs in a blanket, and more. There are multiple large screen TVs to watch sports, a large gameroom with retro 80s video games, and an outdoor area with tables.

Athena B.

Yelp
Awesome happy hour from 4-7! We had the E15 Gose, Cundys summer ale, j'ville Shandy, and the Woody Sack! We loved all of the beers we had! My favorite was the summer ale, which was crisp and refreshing! The shandy was also super refreshing and light. It reminds you of Leinenkugel with even better flavor and not the excess sugar. Ive had the Brown Sack before and it is delicious also! Side note, the place is super clean and the bartenders were ultra helpful in beer selections! I loved all the beers we selected. The women's restroom was so beautiful, I know kinda weird. However, I loved the mirror and the wallpaper.

Hans B.

Yelp
While visiting Jacksonville beach area...I'm checking out some breweries-- & simply put this place at the top of your list! It's in a small unassuming strip mall .... It's a also one of the few breweries with a menu...now I already ate so I did not try the food . The menu is simple bit looks good and is not ovelry expensive. Beers are vast and you can select from the " TV beer menu" or the beer app menu (Untapped) I was kinda full so I kept it light and enjoyed a flight and there Jacksonville shandy. It was smooth easy drinking and delicious! I should also mention the staff is very nice and accommodating; attentive and easy going! I definitely will be back !

Don M.

Yelp
Loved it better than I expected Will be comm8ng back and have a passport, bartender was attentive

Robbie C.

Yelp
I've only been to Engine 15 twice, and for just a quick stop but I like what I've seen! They have a wide variety of brews that are interesting and tasty. They have one of the cheapest flights around at $5 for Engine 15 brews. Would love to come back and try their food as I hear their frito pie is awesome! Check them out if you're at the beach!

Thomas S.

Yelp
They got a delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup meal with great beers and friendly service.

Melody F.

Yelp
Loved the beer selection, particularly the stouts and porters. Great atmosphere. Didn't try the food as we had just eaten a late lunch, but the menu looked good, typical pub fare.

Craig C.

Yelp
I will say the food was good for a brewery. However, the beer wasn't very cold at both visits and they didn't identify if a beer was sour or not. Happened a couple times while ordering a fight, even after the person knew I wasn't into sours. The last time he was filling my flight and the last one, he had it in his hand, he said this one was a sour. I asked if I could change it out but was told no because it was poured. Yet, he knew I didn't care for sours.

Rosa S.

Yelp
Super nice and friendly staff. Super relax and chill place to enjoy a few beers. Nicely decorated and shade provided outside for a sunny day to enjoy a good cold beer.

Calla H.

Yelp
The environment and service is great! Lots of beer options and the food is tasty! They have live sports and good music.

James S.

Yelp
My 50th Yelp review! I wanted it to be on a place that I love, and I've loved coming to Engine 15 for many years now. I remember when it opened, there weren't many other craft breweries in Jacksonville at that time...now there's one that's practically walking distance fr But despite all those new breweries opening, E15 still remains one of my favorites. They have a massive selection of beer on tap, usually about half are house brews and half are guest beers. But regardless of which you choose, there's bound to be more than a few that catch your eye. Engine 15 also does a great job with bottles to go as well as crowlers for most things on tap. My brother lives in Tampa, which has some pretty amazing breweries of its own, but he still requests that I bring down some Engine 15 beer for him most times that I visit. It is a little dark in there, so if you haven't been before, be prepared for that. But if you head all the way to the back, you'll be greeted by several classic arcade games to play while you enjoy your beer. They also have food (assuming you're not here while waiting for a table at Mojo or Taco Lu). Their Cuban sandwich is actually very solid, and surprisingly often better than ones that get recommended to me at other places. Overall I love being able to call Engine 15 a hometown brewery; they may not be nationally known, but locally they make some of the most solidly reliable beers in town.

Wendy L.

Yelp
Been wanting to try here. So 3 of us came for a late lunch. We sat down. They weren't busy, but being our first time didn't realize we needed to go to the bar to order. First impression is that the bartenders were cold and uninviting. Wasn't sure we hadn't made a mistake by coming here. They had a small sign we spotted on the table to go to the bar for service. My bf went to the bar with a bartender that at first wasn't very friendly not did he make eye contact. Finally we ordered our drinks, which we had all sodas. But John had a craft cherry cola that was really good. The bartender did make his way over to talk to us. He was pleasant and engaging explanations of the local Florida brews and special events. We appreciated his forthcoming in making us feel more welcome. I split a brisket sandwich and chips with beer cheese queso dip. The aujus was delicious and the sandwich was quite tasty. The beer cheese queso was very good and not overbearing with beer taste. My son had the chicken Caesar wrap. It was a huge wrap that he said was very good which is big coming from someone who always complains about something. I gave a 4 star because of the food and the rebound of customer service Yes we will go back especially due to nearly 50 beer on tap selection.

Ry D.

Yelp
Definitely a local spot. Reminds me more of a bar than a brewery. Not a bad thing, but I always bring my son so I like the brewery layouts. I did see a few babies in the bar. Beer was good and they had large variety. Service was alright. My son loved the root beer.

Matt C.

Yelp
Engine 15 is much more than a strip mall brewery. It's a laid back location with decent bar food, arcade games and copious amounts of beer. I'd estimate 50 beers on tap; with half of those being brewed on site. The other half are from microbreweries all over the country. My hop-laden tendencies gravitate toward the Double Drop, Old Battle Axe and Route 90. For something darker, I'd recommend the Chupacabra and Nut Sack... (It's the best nut sack out there) What separates Engine 15 from other local breweries is their pub menu. Nothing pairs better with beer than bar bites. The chips w/ beer queso is affordable and tasty. Tonight's short rib sandwich special was adequate, but waiting an hour for food will usually let down one's appetite. The crowd here is a melting pot, which fits Jax to sheer perfection. I appreciate the bottled offerings from Engine 15 that you can find throughout Florida and I'm uber excited to check out their new digs. Cheers to local beer!

Angela B.

Yelp
We were driving down the road and happened to see this brewery. Who can pass up beer on a sunny Saturday? There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is plenty of parking. No reason not stop by. They had a lot of beer on tap and a lot of it was their own beer--definitely a bonus for us. We were there after an Oktoberfest event, so there were lots of pumpkin beer on tap. I tried the Acker's English Remedy Milk Stout. It was very good and it had a low ABV (less than 5%). The hubby had a flight -- the Nut Sack Double Brown Ale, Das Engine Oktoberfest, Cinotti's Pumpkin Donut Ale, Sandy Cove Kolsch Style Ale and the Lager Than Life. He enjoyed all of his beer but his favorite was the Pumpkin Donut Ale. I tried it and it was delicious. Sweet (maybe it was the cinnamon sugar around the rim of the glass) with a nice hint of pumpkin but it was not overkill. The only negative to our visit was that the kitchen was not serving food. Apparently someone was let go and they did not have anyone to make food. So basically chips and salsa or chips and dip were the only things available to eat. Definitely would return to Engine 15 the next time we were in the area.

Ashley Q.

Yelp
I don't know what I enjoyed more about Engine 15- the beers or the atmosphere. Came in for flights last night and my boyfriend and I each tried 4 beers (with their many options, it was hard to do just 4!) As a sour beer fan, I was excited to have multiple beers to try. we both found the summer quencher to be our favorite- very smooth with a caramel note. We paired our flights with the frito pie- the perfect snack. The bar was very inviting- we were able to find a table in the bar area which allowed us to watch the games, as well as people watch. We will be back for sure to try some new beers in our flights soon.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Great beer! Touch tunes, so you can control the music until the bar tenders start playing their own likes. All they play is heavy metal! So that really gives it a weird vibe once they take over. Not really cool that they don't let customers take over the music.

Daren S.

Yelp
First off, Wait staff and bartender were simply rude at best! Never visited here before and asked some simple questions about their beer and it was like I was bothering them, even though the place was empty. Had to even ask for a food menu. IN RESPECT TO COVID, THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE! THEY SAY YOU MUST WEAR A MASK BUT THEIR IN ZERO ENFORCEMENT!!!!!!!! IN ADDITION THE PLACE IS DIRTY. WONT GO BACK.

Whitney M.

Yelp
Just as good as my last review. Tried something different this time and was equally as pleased. AND they are doing things right during rona times.

Erica W.

Yelp
Man.... I really wanted to like this place. Like 5-star like. I'll start of by saying the brewskis are phenomenal. I tried 2 - a non-local cherry limeade one and a engine 15 gose? (I can't remember now...oops) Either way, they were great. A little on the pricey side but that's expected for locally crafted beer I guess. The food is where I had the most issue. I understand when you want a late night snack your first thought usually isn't a local craft brewery. However, for a bar serving 'bar snacks' I expected quite a bit more. We ordered a soft pretzel that came out quite a bit hard and some chips and queso. They serve the same queso with the pretzel as they do with the chips (not a problem, it was tasty) but the chips were pretty stale and nothing special either. The atmosphere was chill, but it does get a little tight when busy. Overall - I might give it another try (because I'm such a local-loving girl) but it probably wouldn't be my first stop. I'll let ya know!

William R.

Yelp
Supporting local Brewz. Great place to hang out 6 feet apart mask required good outdoor seating and they have great Ferrari parking. Recommend getting the J'ville is a Lager - Light style beer good color and tastes great brewed by Engine 15 Brewing Company in Jacksonville Beach, Fl

Jennifer L.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! Comfortable, relaxed and seriously good food as well as beer. Love the game room in the back. Works great for a quick and easy dinner and pints with kids! Plus, everyone loves Brisket the porch cat!

Joe W.

Yelp
We stopped here because of a gift card from a now-former friend, but we are friends no more after this. Weak to Mediocre beer and foods at best. The spot is not worth your time. This spot is not your money.

Bill M.

Yelp
As the saying goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. As though it's always a one-shot deal. It doesn't have to be. And so goes with Engine 15. My first visit was back before growler fills were legal in FL. I'd just moved here and wanted to engage in the brewery scene. The poor way that the law was conveyed as I was leaving, left me with a vow to never return. Fast forward to earlier this year. They were the only brewery close to us that was open and they were serving lunch...a bonus. So I suspended my vow and I'm glad I did. The beer is still quite good and the food is very good. So my lesson is that with a little more information (realizing they had great food, and a mutual frustration with past pesky laws), a bad first impression doesn't have to be the end of a relationship. I'll be back plenty more.

Carol C.

Yelp
We play trivia there on Tuesday nights occasionally with Danny Niblock from The Trivia Guys. The food is good. The bartenders and kitchen staff are nice. I'm told that the variety of beer is good. All craft beers. It's a nice place to kick back for an evening. They have other events too. Upcoming October Fest on Saturday, October 2nd.

Grace R.

Yelp
After a long Saturday night, I was looking for a place to enjoy a beer and some bites. Unfortunately, I came in after 10pm so the kitchen was closed. And my search for a microbrewery with the kitchen open all night continues. With all that aside, the selection of beers is breathtaking. It was overwhelming to pick just one so I enjoyed a flight. Granted it was on an empty stomach, so I had to decline an offer to get a pint of my favorite one. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Not to mention, I love the fact that you can write your picks on the flight holder with a chalk pen. I'll make sure to come back before 10pm to try the good eats along with their delicious brews.

Chris M.

Yelp
Great local spot with a lot of great beers! My personal favorite was the Petrus Roodbruin. Engine 15 has a hole in the wall type feel (I really enjoy hole in the wall bars) with great prices. Definitely would recommend the flights to try a few of their many beers.
