Engine Room Audio was the first recording studio I ever had the pleasure of recording a song in. Initially, I was scheduled to work with a studio that Engine Room leases its rooms out to, but was informed that this other studio had changed locations recently. Frank was incredibly accommodating and agreed to help me record my song cover at Engine Room instead within 45 minutes, even matching the price of the other studio. I had a really enjoyable time playing their grand piano and collaborating with my sound engineers Nate and Angel. Thank you Engine Room for a memorable experience!

I had David Nguyen at Engine Room master one of my songs and my team is incredibly happy with it. David received my song with enthusiasm and had the master back to me within an hour. Immediately, I could tell the mix was crisper and clearer on my phone speaker, in the car, Bluetooth etc. I also received several different versions for streaming and social media which I really appreciate. David is a thorough, high-quality and meticulous mastering engineer!

My best studio experience so far! Corey, Nate and Raphael were so lovely to work with. Customers service and amenities were ON POINT!! Cannot recommend enough!

We have been working with Engine Room Audio in the production of our CD package and the quality of the final product is excellent. Perfect job and customer service. Beyond an amazing experience! Had a private studio session here and was very impressed. Nothing but professionalism and humbly talented individuals here that make your experience as pleasant as possible. Very accommodating, and the studios are beautiful.

I was here 2 times in about 4 months. One of the nicest and well run studios. 1 time I was thetr to meet with artist and take his picture. Other time there for a listening party in the larger room upstairs. Both times all was A1. thanks for keeping it classy. If you in the BX.. check out damatrix studios

Dope studio in NYC with amazing engineers, producers & equipment. Many famous artists have recorded here, the names are endless, and they have the plaques on their walls to prove it. I've been here three times and whether it's a larger or smaller studio, they are well equipped and have plenty of space to handle whatever job you need done. Check their IG @engineroomaudio for more details. High-end equipment & great, comfortable space to work. If you take your craft seriously, this is the place to go.

This place isn't right Scott hung up on me, I gave them money for a session. And they never provided service. I called and they said I remember you, You was the one that came in Drunk. I don't drink I'm a diabetic and please give my bank my money Back.

I needed to get some music work done , and a Friend told me about Engine Room Audio NYC , I went and i was greeted warmly , the environment was very professional and they made me feel comfortable. I was honored to worked with both Mastering Engineers Mark Christensen & Dan Millice and more recently Mixing Engineer Gabe Mg . Everything I've done there has come out sounding amazing. The Studio manager Scott will provide you with the best Competitive Rates in the NYC area . The Many studio rooms will have all you need to get your sound right . Wow! Sometimes I wonder how some businesses stay in business. I wanted some CD's made with packaging. I called and spoke to a woman and she helped me and gave me a good price quote. I was excited and wanted to get this rolling. I called back to ask a few final questions and was told to email someone. I emailed them and received no response. I emailed them again and since then (about 3 weeks ago) I have had one response from them saying... "I do remember getting a strange message last week with your name attached saying that the message was being held on the server because it was "suspicious." ". I responded to the email saying I wanted to go ahead with the order and still got no response. I tried calling again thinking that maybe they were having email problems but the person I needed to speak with was "...with another client". I left a message with the woman detailing who I was and what I was calling about (mind you, they had already given me a quote). I still have received no response. I have since found another business that gave me a better quote and have decided to go with them. They're very friendly and helpful and seem to appreciate my business. So I say to you E.R.A. What's up with that? Sorry if I bothered you with my business.

Probably one of the best studios I've worked in. Everyone is very helpful and is a great place to focus on work and also take breaks as the lobby and waiting room has a kitchenette, tv, and pool table. All the engineers and interns were pretty friendly and knowledgable.

This is my second Yelp review and I wouldn't be doing it because I don't like to be mean but my friends said I should. I don't know why used these guys so many times because every time I hired them to do a job for me they did it completely wrong!!! Example: After they asked what color I wanted, I told them, and what they gave me was totally different and much cheaper looking. I asked for a specific layout w my font of choice (a no brainer, but they probably had their interns do it: I even sent a clear JPEG of how it was supposed to be, which in fact they had done THEMSELVES the last time) and when I picked the CD's up, it was a different font, different layout. Then they said if I wanted them done over I would have to pay a fee. What?? So far I have tested 2 to see if they are playing correctly and so far 1 was skipping. Am I supposed to sell these to my customers? What did I do to make them so apathetic towards me? Gave them my business? Perhaps it's because I only had 100 CD's printed instead of 1000?.... not sure... Yes they print CD's but I have had nothing but mistakes, problems, rudeness, yeah, I agree: sorry I bothered you guys! (same experience as C.J.) I feel like if I ever went back there it would be totally stupid and the joke would be on me at that point...So lame. Hands down.

Worst company ever!!! Do not go here!! Dealing with them is a nightmare. You're better off printing your CDs at home.

I do not recommend this company. Everyone I dealt with at Engine Room was very nice, but they were unable to deliver the service they agreed to at a professional level. I came to Engine Room to have fifty DVDs duplicated and artwork printed on their faces. When I took the DVDs home I discovered that 90% of the DVDs did not play on most DVD players. Also about half of the DVDs had glaring scratches on the artwork they printed on the front. I told them about these issues, they were apologetic and said they'd determined the cause of problem. I picked up the revisions from them and discovered that somehow a third of the DVDs still didn't work. Plenty still had scratches. Again they were apologetic and printed replacements free of charge. Now, after three tries, finally all 50 DVDs play correctly. However around a third still have scratches on the front. I can tell that they noticed the scratches because in some cases I can see that they tried to hide them with a sharpee. I do not understand why they didn't reprint these themselves until they got the order correct. At this point, after three tries, I do not have time to deal with these people any more.

One of the best studios in NYC. Huge space, they have a great live room and control room equipped with an SSL board. There is another set up for satellite studios downstairs to do tracking, mixing, etc. The in house mastering team is great as well. Perfect place to get each step of recording process done properly. The staff is well versed and easy to talk to, making for a nice environment to create.
