Englewood Brewing

Beautiful setting with visually pleasing plates. We had brunch and were pleased. The only downside was the steak was overcooked (dry) and the young waitress didn’t appear to comprehend being please to customers. We will definitely go back though.

Visited on a sunday afternoon. Only the bar in the basement was open as the main floor bar was closed. Engelwood doesnt do 5-oz pours or flights. They only do pints (16-oz). They let me try whatever I wanted with 2-oz pours. Bartenders were super chill. Tried a 2-oz of the Post Melon-W Watermelon Lager (German Pilsner Malt, Amarillo Hops, Fresh Watermelon) 5.2% abv. This beer didnt taste good (personal preference), so I didnt order a pint of this. Tried a 2-oz of the Bam La Bam Red Ale (El Dorado hops, roasted barley, dry and nutty, hints of caramel, 5.5% abv) This was the better of the two options and I actually liked it. Patio seemed like a popular option on this warm/hot day, but I hung out indoors to enjoy this pint while watching some of the Red Zone channel (I requested NFL red zone to be played on the TV and they accommodated it). Upscale brewery with the perfected walls, floors, and tables. Even the bathrooms were super nice with good tiling on the walls and floors!

Stopped in for a (planned) drink after walking through the farmers market. First off, beautiful place, very relax, friendly staff through and through. We happened to be here for happy hour, specials are excellent, but the quality is even better. Englewood beers are super solid, cocktails were excellent. We just got an order of wings (crispy, hot garlic parm) and they are in top 5 wings I've ever had. Crispy, juicy, sauce is full of flavor. Wish we could visit here more but anyone in town for hershey park really should visit, you won't regret it.

July 2025 update: I am pleased to report that Englewood is back, baby!! My latest visit revealed the return of the amazing beer Bam-Ba-Lam. Moreover, the senior staff of excellence has returned, including Mary and Tyler, who should be requested on your visit. Most important was the return of the amazing NY style pizza, the Farmhouse Trio, and Buffalo wings (ask for Buffalo hot). I also had an amazing salad, Berry Walnut, with blackened chicken. I don't want to exclude the amazing mixed cocktails mixed up by Justin (spiked lemonade and blackberry smash). LASTLY, we were treated by an unsolicited visit from owner Stevie, who was absolutely charming and went out of her way to make our visit exceptional. Next time I go, I will be hunting for her and her husband to join me for a meal as they were an absolute delight. It's time to go back to PA's favorite barn brewery, who will welcome you with open arms. April 2025: Ever since they had a flood and finally reopening after 6 months, all of the staff have been replaced, including the kitchen team. PA's best pretzel is gone, beer selection was limited, and the pizza replaced with what tasted like Elios from a box. The pasta and sandwiches were good, but the place is just not the same. I only hope everything comes back, including the beer and pretzel.

Went here with family in a group of 4. We sat in the downstairs area by the bar - this room had an excellent atmosphere! It was busy and loud, which is typical. Our service was good. I was pretty let down by my food orders. I ordered the ratatouille with linguine and this dish was served like a pasta dish. There were three small pieces of eggplant, I really wish I had the pasta on the side, I think it would have come out more like a ratatouille than a pasta dish. The white pizza had a thick layer of the smoked ricotta, which was (in my opinion) way too heavy/dense. My dubbel (barrel aged) beer was great. The orange crush got a great review, as well as the vodka sour cocktail. Our smoked salmon dip appetizer was tasty and others in the party enjoyed their salads. With that all said, I would go back to give things another try - some of the vegan/glute free options peaked my interest! I have confidence that my next visit would have a better review.

This is an excellent brewery located right in Hershey. I frequent other popular breweries in Hershey, and will be using them as a reference. First off, their pretzel is the best in the business. It’s most similar rival is an Auntie Anne’s. It is doughy, buttery, moist, just sweet enough, and not too salty. Korean bbq fries were tangy and hearty. The spicy farmhouse pizza tastes incredible, although they could work on getting the pizza bottom as crispy as the crust. Their food is one of the best you’ll find at a brewery in the Hershey area. There is a great variety of beers, and they are all clean and balanced. The brown ale is delicious and not too malty. Above average for a Hershey brewery. The high table outside is too tall for the height stools they chose. The live music we had on Saturday July 30th was nice, and the outdoor atmosphere is excellent. I will be returning.

Englewood cant figure out what they want to be and change constantly at the dismay of their customers. The food and service has steadily declined and they have a problem with closing for months at a time. Now they've decided to close the tavern off for events only, which is a slap in the face to those who gave them their money for these years. Im not sure who they think they are, but they ain't them. There are a dozen other venues id book before I chose Englewoods tavern for a private event, and im sure the cost is going to be astronomical.... will this spell the end for this establishment?

Everything you would want a trip to a brewery to be. Beautiful location, excellent ambiance, delicious beers, tasty food and friendly, knowledgeable service staff make this a can't-miss spot for craft beer lovers. Could be my new favorite spot in Central PA. Will definitely be back soon and recommend to anyone who will listen!
