Englewood Grand

Really nice neighborhood bar with a great selection of liquors. Bartender was very nice and attentive to our party. The popcorn was a great touch. Looking forward to coming back when it is a bit warmer to enjoy the patio in the back. As with all reviews, the quality of the bathroom mirror are important. The lighting here was good, an easy place to get a quick mirror selfie for the ‘gram. Thanks for the good service and the good selfies!

Exactly what you would expect from a South Broadway bar. Our bartender Maxwell was very personable. Sat a chatted with us. We were there on a Sunday. I would guess the weekends are pretty hopping here. I'm sure you can do just a beer and shot here. They do seem to be focused more on craft cocktails.

What a gem! Been coming here since they opened. Moved over a half hour away and still come here as often as we can. Love this place.

Ove been visiting for several years. Great bartenders, great selection, and it is locally owned! Visit for a cocktail and a kooky movie (not sports) on the TV. Maybe get a Grandee sammy or some popcorn. See you all soon!

Best neighborhood bar in Englewood, in my opinion. Bartenders are friendly and always eager to help you come up with a unique cocktail. Friendly vibe overall. I've met some interesting folks to chat with here. Also, check out the new happy hour specials; they are a good bargain in today's inflated economy!

I see a lot of reviewers say that Englewood Grand has the best cocktails known to man. But can they mix a great mocktail? Yes, yes they can. I always like it when a bar has a killer zero proof option and this place certainly does. I had a honey, lime, pineapple drink and it was seriously delicious. I like the spacious layout of the bar and the large wooden booths for more privacy with your party. There’s lots of seating throughout and shuffleboard in the back. Now I can see why this place is Englewood’s favorite bar- the drinks are top notch, the vibe is great, and the staff know how to please their customers 👌

I thought I had written a review, as I frequent the Grand, but alas, I have not yet. So here it goes: I absolutely LOVE this place! It's nestled in a bustling neighborhood and it's the perfect place to grab an after dinner drink, an afternoon happy hour cocktail, or just to go and hang out on a nice day. The Englewood Grand, though offering many different kinds of liquor, is essentially a whiskey bar. The bartenders are super knowledgeable about varieties, brands, and drinks and even have their own house made assortments and mixers. As a Rye drinker, I appreciate that there is an option for happy hour. It's dimly lit and has a prohibition vibe without being stuffy. My 2 most favorite things about this place however, are the selection of music and video that are playing when I come in. There is usually modern punk or alternative playing on the speakers as old black and white films or b-horror movies accompany your visit. Something to try if you haven't yet!

Cool place. Just not sure what exactly is up with the bartender we had a few days ago. Coming from someone who has worked in the industry. First, visibly annoyed that we wanted to order food so as not to drink on an empty stomach. It is the law that a food menu is required when serving alcohol. And it was 5:30 on a Tuesday. He was not slammed. Then, when I pointed out (very nicely) that my drink had the wrong mixer, he proceeded to mock me for calling it by its proper name. "It's like when people order a Cuba Libre." I kindly explained that vodka & cran doesn't have lime, but a Cape Cod does. That was really worth the jackassery to ya?

Chill place with great selection of tequila. Always friendly service. Don't get too freaked out by the mannequins at the bar, they are there to keep you company. Love the throwback movies always playing on TV. Today was Short Circuit.

Phillip always gives great service and the vibes are so cozy here. The mannequins change outfits with the seasons. Popcorn is a must any time you pop in It's also a good chill spot to catch a game without the madness

Stumbled upon this cool bar on a Sunday afternoon. Merlin the bartender took great care of us and we got some cheddar popcorn with our drinks which I thought was super cool. The dirty martini was one of the best in the city so far imo. The old fashion was delicious with some laws 42 rye. Ambiance was great, glad we stopped by for a quick drink.

This is a super fun neighborhood bar, with lots of places to sit and friendly bartenders. I love the popcorn machine and general cozy vibes. Honestly, would be a great date spot in one of the back booths!!

A friend on Facebook (and fan of the only band I ever travel to see) suggested that my friends and I meet for a happy hour drink. Great bartender who, when I asked for a cocktail menu, replied: "I can make you anything you want." There's a pretty outdoor seating area with cozy couches. The bar itself is long and narrow with dim lighting and great music (not obtrusive but transporting). I'm blanking on the gin I had---not Wheeler, which I drank at Geronimo, or Boodles which I had the last of at the Holiday Inn ABQ (there was one shot left in the bottle)---but it was a great martini. The statues of the nun, the rabbi, and Bojack Horseman are a hoot. All the good features of a hipster bar with none of the annoying ones.

Merlin is the best bartender. He knows his stuff, super personable. I highly recommend anyone come here. Dive bar feels with cheers atmosphere

This lovely bar definitely gives you all the feels! Before heading to a concert at the gothic theater, my cousins and I decided to stop in for a drink beforehand. It's warm and inviting, and very festive for the holiday season. Vintage Christmas decorations make it feel special and unique. With mistletoe and garland decor, a piano situated in the corner, and wooden tables and booths, this place reminds me of a down to earth, neighborhood bar. They offer homemade popcorn, and reasonably priced drinks. The bartender helped us choose our cocktails, and I found they make a killer Manhattan! I would definitely make point to return here when in the area!

Possibly the worst bar experience I have ever had. My friend and I went out for her first drink in a year, come to find out her ID is actually 2 moths expired (although she is 26). The bartender/alleged 'owner' physically assaulted and pushed her out of the bar screaming "you fucking suck" and "don't fucking come back". I have worked in the restaurant Industry my entire life and have never seen someone treat a customer so horribly. I understand you can't serve an expired ID, but an honest mistake should not lead to physical and verbal assault by an 'owner' of an establishment. I have never given a negative review, but I would give this place negative stars for this unprofessional experience.

Awesome place to go hang out with friends and loved ones. Very rustic feel and cozy on the inside. It feels like being at home while maintaining an elegant feel. Spacious and prices are awesome!!

Man- this place is a gem. We are wanting to keep this a secret but we also want to just host a fun "get-together" OR maybe ground hog day party lol ?! We would make up a fun party excuse just to host it here- it's so cool. We went on a date and felt like we were at a NYC "chic bar" only 1/2 the price and nicer people and staff. Come here!

Classy, comfortable,with spot on service, everytime. We love stopping in, and chilling for a few cocktails. Beer or wine. Always something local on tap and good tunes to listen to.

I came here with a few girlfriends for after work drinks on a Friday. We arrived shortly after they opened and got a booth. For a Friday afternoon it was not too busy at all, not too loud which was nice. Parking wasn't too bad on the next street over but street parking was hard to find. Their drinks menu is hilarious! And both of our drinks were great. She got the Comrad Yellow Card Blond and I had the C-Squared Ginger Cider. Both were delicious. The smell of heavily buttered popcorn while your drinking is a nice touch even if you're niot eating it.

If you don't know the local crowd not a good bar to frequent. The manager claims to to be independent but he's weak and captiulates to the his locals desires. If you are a local great selections of whiskey. If the manager doesn't know you likeliehood is you wou will be run out of town!

Awesome place! It's kind of divey mixed with glam. Post up at the bar, the bartenders are pretty speedy!! There is also a few cozy wooden booths to sit in mid bar. There's shuffle board in the back which is not visible when you first walk in. The bathrooms are so cute!! They remind me of a modern contemporary boutique.

This bar is the perfect blend of divey and not. It's a dimly lit, neighborhood bar with bartenders who can make anything your heart desires. Strawberry mojito, Paper Plane, gin fizz, margarita-on-the-rocks-no-salt-thank-you-very-much. They are friendly, attentive, and helpful. And I don't know what else to say except that it's just such a good vibe. I come here a couple times a month. I would, perhaps, advise you to Just Say No to the French Dip. Definitely not the best in town as advertised. :)

There is no greater neighborhood bar on South Broadway as this one. Nice atmosphere and superb cocktails. The owner Phil is a super great guy and always accommodates his guests. I only wish that they had live music more often. It's a great space for it.

Love the grand! I've been a regular at this bar ever since they opened a couple years ago. Phil is incredibly kind and really cares about providing a welcoming, fun spot for everyone who comes through the doors. All of the bartenders really know their stuff when it comes to cocktails and they strangely make the best margaritas too. Tons of whiskey options. Order a bartender's choice and let them be creative.

Personally, I love the vibe and atmosphere here. Service was great, as were the drinks, and the drink prices are very reasonable compared to other locations in the area.

I think this is my "escape" bar when I want to find a spot that has a good selection of beer (plus the full bar) that is not wall-to-wall people where I have to push and shove to try and get a drink, even on a Friday night. Very "neighborhood bar" feel, which I love. There beer selection is not the largest, but they've put a lot of thought into it, and you're bound to find something that you'll enjoy. The crowd is really great too, not overrun with hipsters which I REALLY appreciate. Just down-to-earth people who want to enjoy a few drinks.

This is *the* community hub of Englewood, run by one of the most humble and charismatic man I know (Phil). Great neighborhood vibe, friendly staff, excellent drinks at highly competitive rate. I would stop in every time I am near Englewood.

I'm so happy that my local downtown hood is blooming with places like the Englewood Grand. This place is so no fuss, no fluff...all focused on the drink. I've had a few solid weekend nights focused on the serious whiskey drink. I love the vintage decor and the serious drink attention. Thanks for being in my neighborhood.

Outstanding sport. Was there last night -- cool vibe, great staff, wonderful drinks and the played wide variety of music. What more could you ask for... two classic arcade games and a table-top curling set-up. LOVE!

Definitely not my kind of place. 1) Very dark and dingy 2) no table service 3) food consisted of popcorn and the promise of roast beef sandwiches at some point 4) when i asked about wine -- red or white was the response -- never got a brand. tried one glass - yuck 5) moscow mules -- tried that -- pretty yucky -- no copper mug. On the plus side - the bar tender was nice enough. Reminded me of a western movie saloon. Throw a quarter on the bar and get a shot and a beer. They did have a big TV. 81 people gave it 5 star reviews - so this the place some population of people -- just not me.

So...I came to Colorado for an Amos Lee concert at Red Rocks. Not only was it the best concert ever, I had the hottest date to boot. Just when i thought the night couldn't get any more perfect, we stumbled upon this gem of a place. Phil is such a humble person and just an all around amazing guy. He has built a great establishment. Then....we ordered the french dip and OMGGGG. Literally too die for. I have since come back from GA. I blame Phil and the Englewood Grand:) .....(oh and maybe that hot date also)

Overpriced for what you get. The service was good but not a lot of females present. Fellas, don't waste your time here.

Best little local bar. Also- ask the owner about the build. Super interesting. Everything in the bar was made by hand- floors, benches, bar, etc. it was definitely his labor of love. The free popcorn and great beers make me happy.

Pisco sour anyone? I was absolutely delighted when the Englewood Grand opened up its doors to the people of Englewood. This beautiful bar was exactly what the neighborhood needed. While dive bars are great and all, it is really nice to change it up a bit. First of all, this place is GORGEOUS. The bar is gorgeous, the tables in the back are gorgeous and, yes, even the bathrooms are gorgeous. They also have shuffle board, which makes a great way to pass the time! The bartenders are so friendly and talented. Patrons can tell each of them takes great pride in their work. Each drink is made with love and crafted with perfection. I always ask them for suggestions because I will pretty much drink anything they make me. I have had so many beautifully crafted drinks here, but my favorite thing to order is a pisco sour with egg whites. Heaven, my friends, heaven. I will continue to frequent this bar when I am looking for a well made, fabulous cocktail. They even have Locavore's signature Lily Hammer IPA on tap! If you are looking for a cool atmosphere with awesome bartenders that make incredible drinks, stop into the Englewood Grand.

I really like this place! I met a friend here after work for a quick beer on Wednesday. They've got a great selection of both spirits and beer and the ambience is fitting. I hear there's music, food trucks, and some times catering done by local chefs. So happy another solid bar opened up in Englewood. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

I have NEVER had better cocktails ANYWHERE. Really. Go there to impress your date. Go there after work to unwind. Go there to drink with friends. Go to celebrate on a Saturday night, or to drink beer alone on Tuesday night. Take your dad there for a scotch. It's a perfect place for so many things.

Left my purse here and the bartender kept it safe for me until I picked it up the next day. It's good to know that the people who work here are truly good and genuine people. Great drinks, awesome staff, clean bathrooms, and convenient location.

Love this place! The bartenders, Matt and Phil are the best around. The drinks they make are the best that I've had in town. The ambiance is terrific.

Asked for a whiskey sour. In reply I was asked: "With or without egg white?" Sold. Beautiful interior, with excellent service and exquisite cocktails. Request the variation on the Diamondback and slow-play a beautifully crafted drink all evening long. Has instantly become a favorite haunt in the area.

Terrific bar. Staff is very friendly. Mixed drinks are great. Love that you can bring food in from a different restaurant. Just wish they had more beers on tap.

From a fancy cocktail to some delicious craft beers, this place has it all. A modern yet rustic vibe makes this atmosphere A+. The staff is excellent and will go the extra mile to make you the perfect libation! Plus, a great shuffle board in the back makes Englewood Grand a great addition to the neighborhood.

This place is beautiful! The service is wonderful. I can't wait to check out the new patio that opens this week. You can play shuffle board for free and the have free popcorn that they will make fresh if you ask. There is an extensive selection of Whiskey and I would imagine a beer drinker would enjoy their selection on tap. I however had Tito's and soda water with lemon both visits, since I need to stay gluten free, and they were spot on! The bartenders were awesome!

In Englewood, but more of a Denver bar than 95 percent of bars that can be said to have the Denver vibe. They keep the music format consistent with the kind of place that it is, the staff don't under-pour your beer or drinks, prices are reasonable, crowd is decent/friendly and laid back, and in case you occasionally need to recharge or plug in your machine/device, they have a good array of outlets and have good WiFi. They tend to have a very limited late-night food menu, but I like that they tend to usually have a stout or porter on hand, regardless of time of year. Last but not least: they don't invent reasons to close before their posted hours (a huge deal--I don't go back to bars that play games with that and waste our time... these folks have that ethic down, as they should).

Its hard to find bars anymore that really understand neighborhood. You have to throw out downtown, 17th avenue, and RINO and Highlands should be shuttered. This is what a neighborhood bar used to be and should be. Yes the bartenders can make any cocktail you want. It will be measured, poured quickly and with no attitude attached (take note previously mentioned neighborhoods as none of your spots can do any of the three and certainly not all at the same time). They support their community, no your name, are not pretentious and truly love being in the business and love their neighborhood. This is what bars need to be and what they used to be. I can not say enough good things......
