Atari to open hotels with restaurants in Chicago and seven U.S. cities | Eater Chicago

"A Namco-operated arcade bar/restaurant in suburban Schaumburg (formerly known as Level 257) pairs dining with arcade gaming rooted in the company’s Pac‑Man heritage, offering a themed entertainment-and-food experience outside the city proper." - Ashok Selvam

1/1/2025 Hello, this review totally isn’t six months late. Anyways, let’s get into it. The food was good. It wasn’t perfect perfect but it was four stars. I understand since this place is an arcade. So I wouldn’t expect it to be good. But what it lacks in, it makes up for. And I mean the service was perfect. The employees checking up on us making sure we didn’t need anything. The atmosphere was cool. It was nice to see the arcade and the restaurant kind of become one even though they’re on separate sides but it’s still a good five star atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend coming here as it’s a good place to eat and play games.

This place is SO much fun! They have a lot of games, claw machines, the bowling was reasonably priced, pool tables were really cheap. I want to come back and play darts. The mojito as quite good! Usually places mess it up. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Overall amazing place. The bathrooms are really trippy hahahaha but nice. Anyways can't wait to come back, I wanna try the food.

👋🏻 Hey fellow Google Mappers! ☺️ This was my first time going to Enterrium. I’ve seen so many TikTok videos of Enterrium and finally had the chance to check it out. There are many activities you can do at affordable prices is crazy good! From bowling to a full arcade and many mini claw machines with cute prizes. There are 2 entrances, one inside the mall near the food court & it’s own entrance near the entrance of where Sears used to be which is on the left of Macy’s. ⭐️ Customer Service: The staff I’ve interacted with were friendly & helpful. Our server, forgot his name, but he was very attentive. Keep up the amazing work! ☺️ 🕹️🎳 Entertainment: There are many activities to do at Enterrium. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to do bowling, but I had so much fun at the arcade. I really love the mini claw machines which are on the first floor near the entrance. 🛍️ Overall Experience: Overall, I had a great at Enterrium. I definitely plan to come back and try out bowling and the pinball machines. The bathroom was really clean, the food & drinks were delicious, & awesome customer service. 💌 I hope this review helps this Enterrium & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day! ☺️

Went for a special event, had a lot of fun with the pinball but the service and food was basically a no-show. I spoke to several employees who assured me that they were going to bring out more food for our special event but nothing ever showed up.

Google
CBS chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries did not disappoint. Games are fun but the tickets won/points don’t account for much in terms of prizes.

Google
The staff is super friendly, professional and courteous. The bar drinks are put together very well. The food selections are well thought out and everything was prepared with care. Everyone took pride in making our visit a really nice and memorable experience. Although I forgot to take pics of our main dishes and desert, the pic shown is our appetizer which was the southwestern egg rolls. They were put together and prepared perfectly with a balanced and smooth flavor. My wife had dragon roll sushi that is put together in a separate kitchen. If you enjoy sushi do not pass up Enterrtium excellent sushi. I had the CBS, a chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado on a brioche bun. Again prepared with skill and care. If you're an Old Fashioned cocktail fan, Enterrtium mixes them smooth and delicious. My wife had a raspberry cocktail listed on the menu (I forgot the name) and it was so good she had two! So even though Enterrtium is loaded with every type of arcade game you can find along with bowling lanes, don't overlook the fabulous dinning and bar at Enterrtium. Great for a date, couples or the family with kids.

Google
Cool gaming and bar and grill place. Arcade, tons of pinball, bowling. Food was pretty good. Prices were very reasonable.

Google
I had an awesome time. The food was basically bar food, but really good. I had the appetizer sampler amd everything on my plate was good. I had a mai-tai and it was super strong. Afterwards, we played games. The waiter was so awesome, since it was our 1st time there, he gave us 2 gameplay cards to use for an hour. We had a ball...will be returning!

Yelp
Came during a weekday for a drink and the bartender seemed rude at first because there wasn't much space to sit at the bar (I believe they needed to leave space open for easy access to other, not sure). He disappeared for a bit and short time later took our order, we made our way to a table instead with our drinks. The dining area was surprisingly full, there was also corporate party happening at the same time. I noticed a QR code at the table for a free 1-hour game play card for taking their Google survey. I did not eat here this time around so can't comment on the food, but they have nice arcade games.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the management and how they operate. We called in on Friday to see if they are taking reservations for Sunday due to the game. They said no because of the game. So we understood. So we arrived at 5:30 and there is a sign on the door that they are closing at 7 for a private party. So we went upstairs and the staff at the desk didn't know there was a private party at 7. How could they have not known on Friday that there is a private party???!!! The staff heard it from us and another customer. So then a manager approached and explained yes due to the party we can't stay past 7. The only choice we had was to play for an hour and eat somewhere else. They need to get it together.

Yelp
Disappointing, disorganized, and strangely hollow. Enterrium feels like a place that used to be fun and forgot to tell anyone it stopped trying. It's gone thru a few ownership and celebrants over the years since it first opened as a PAC-MAN Entertainment. Service was essentially non-existent. There were no servers on the floor at all--if you wanted food or drinks, you had to order everything at the bar. There may have been a server in the bowling area? Unsurprisingly, this created long waits, confusion, and a bar staff that looked overwhelmed and annoyed to be doing the job of an entire service team. Further, on our most recent visit with three additional families we were charged for multiple kid meals even though they were supposed to be free with an adult entree. The layout makes even less sense than the service model. Pinball machines are now shoved into a weird, separate room, completely disconnected from the rest of the space. It feels like an afterthought instead of part of the experience. To top it off, there is only ONE kiosk to buy or reload game cards for the entire venue. One. So everyone--kids, parents, groups--lines up for the same bottleneck while employees just... watch it happen. The whole place feels understaffed, poorly planned, and uninterested in the guest experience. If the goal is "order at the bar, wander aimlessly, and hope for the best," mission accomplished. If the goal is a smooth dining + entertainment experience, this misses badly. Hard to recommend unless major changes are made--because right now, it's more frustrating than fun.

Yelp
Burger Build Your Own: The burger was better than expected! The patty was thick, juicy, and cooked well. I added avocado and onion to mine, which worked perfectly. The sweet potato waffle fries were a nice surprise, crispy and flavorful. 8/10 Pollo Taco: The taco was decent, but the chicken could use more seasoning. Still, it wasn't bad at all. 7/10 Service: Service was excellent, staff checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. Since we visited on a Sunday, each entrée came with an hour of free gameplay, which was a great bonus.

Yelp
Unorganized , no communication between host ,kitchen and management when I asked for my sushi to be remade ,rice was very hard as if kitchen staff does not check quality for the prep for the day . Took over 30 minutes to redo . Then I asked for the estimate time and then seems as if they forgot ! So just asked for a Togo Box at this point . Workers too occupied watching the tv screens here vs actually serving the customers spending money .

Yelp
This place gives me the Dave and Buster's feel but swankier. The faux leather bench seating and black high top chairs has a nice style with large orb lighting gives this place a nice feel and distracts you a bit from the "noisy- ness" of the arcade. At least I'm comfortable while subjecting myself to the loud sounds and noise of the music/arcade. We bowled for an hour and ordered shareables and entrees. The chicken tenders were battered lightly and super crispy. The fries were thick and "potato"-y but didn't stand out for any particular reason. The appetizer was good portions and as expected from the descriptions on the menu. We had a group of 9 which included 6 children. The service was super attentive and friendly. We needed an allergy friendly accommodation and they were super helpful and caring. We will definitely bring the family back!

Yelp
UPDATE: The pinball machines have all been moved to a separate room at the rear next to the bowling alley. This separate area includes a small bar to serve pinball players. Great idea! I counted a total of thirty-three (33) pinball machines and only one machine was not working.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday after Dave and Busters was closed to the public. There's a separate entrance to enter so you don't have to go through the mall. They have a variety of claw machines, a smaller selection of arcade games compared to D&B and Round One, bowling, pinball games, etc. I paid $40 for 200 something points. You just add money to the card. $40 was too much for the small selection. $20-25 will be sufficient. Best game there that you can't find elsewhere is the King King one. It's very fun and interactive once you sit and put the headset on. Other than that, the games are the typical ones you find elsewhere. We also ate there. There weren't many servers just one guy. The hostess that is supposed to seat you, takes forever. The mocktails are good. The pizzas are solid. Crust is thin and crunchy. We got the margherita and bbq chicken. Pizzas are shareable for a group of 4, you'll need more than one for sure. Overall it's just a 3 out of 5 for the whole experience. It could be a lot better. FYI the prize room needs more variety, not a lot of items that adults would enjoy.

Yelp
My husband and I ate the Enterrium platter, which had potato skins, tater tots, bbq pork nachos and cheese curds, it filled us up and we even took some home. My favorites were the tater tots and cheese curds, crispy and delicious! We then went to use our 2 hour play cards that we got on Groupon. I went for the Skee Ball but found quite a few other games to play that were fun, bean bags, carnival knock down, goldfish bowls, Pacman, air hockey, and an Alien shooter game. My husband liked the race car, motorcycle and Walking Dead games. We were almost too tired to use the full two hours but then we were told about the pinball games and finished out our time in there. Great choices for games, plenty of room to play not crowded at all (Friday afternoon) and there are even some bowling lanes too! Definitely would go again!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to play for adults & kids! Huge bar on the center of the entrance with bowling lanes & video game/arcade area. Ideal for parents to get a drink & catch a game while the kids roam & play. Not my first visit but I recently came here & discovered a Groupon deal for either bowling or arcades. We chose the arcade deal & purchased 4 cards for 2 hours of open play for $80! Not bad but the exception was no prize games or point accrual. I found it fair, so my family & I decided to take full advantage of the 2 hours. We played almost nonstop & I would say we definitely got our money's worth. We purchased the same deal to use at a later date and also another for just a bowling option. Definitely coming back!

Sydney S.

Yelp
Lost my card here. Called for it & they told me they had it drove over two hours the next day for them to tell me the manager is not in & they couldn't open the safe. Then Mike the "manager" told me he doesn't have my card.. then he calls back explaining he has the card but they cut it already.. this place SUCKS DO NOT GO HERE.

Yelp
Feb 2 2018 " This place could be GREAT, but it isn't due to back physical location. They are LITERALLY next to the mall, but there is no opening to and from the mall??!!! That has taken away soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much business away from them that they potentially could have. Also they should have free play days and more arcades. You can go play arcades free in the city so why not in the burbs? If you Level 257 people that run the place don't know check out Replay and HQ Beercade, they're doing things right" NOW, it's a cool pinball place and decent games in decent condition. They got a cheapo day and it has events here and there. KEWL@!
google avatar

Quin B.

Yelp
We popped in here to kill some time. I had a tasty drink at the bar. There is food service, but I opted out. Multiple games offered here including pool and bowling. It was sort of like Dave & Busters on a smaller scale. Money is placed on a card and you pay for games that way. They have a good amount of contemporary arcade games with a few classic and pinball games. I had some fun here.
google avatar

Luan P.

Yelp
Good food & the price is good. The prizes are great quality and well worth it. It's so easy to re-load your card too at the kiosk

Charlene C.

Yelp
Ambiance was wonderful service was okay food was not the best the arcade area was very nice and spacious
google avatar

Yelp
If it wasn't for my salad I would've given 5 stars. This place is awesome for the family or a cute date night. Entry is from the mall or you walk through the main entrance. Whats great about this is that hit has a Dave & Busters vibe but more upscale. Theres a bowling alley and plenty of vintage and new arcade games! If you purchase a meal during certain days you get a free 1hr play card . We definitely utilized that! Our server was amazing the food was great. Unfortunately my salad had old lettuce & I refuse to eat around that. If you get a salad just be mindful and check first .
google avatar

Carlo C.

Yelp
The claw machines in front of the main entrance is a scam. We bought $35 worth of tokens (between 3 kids) in cash from their token dispenser and did not get ONE toy to dispense even though we grabbed at least 20+ times. Once it hit the top of the machine, the claw would ALWAYS loosen and let go of the items.  I was told by the manager that it works similar to a casino and that it's pre programmed to grab items at random. A casino? At a children's amusement place? What?!?! It's called a SCAM! Manager let us choose two items per child from the machines. Not nearly close to what we would've won if the machines weren't programmed to cheat. You people are running a scam! Those machines should be removed.
google avatar

Manda F.

Yelp
I've been going here since it was Level 257, and PAC Man Entertainment. The food is very meh. Drink selection is good. Unfortunately I am on a restricted diet so I cannot have anything on their menu now. FYI they use Soy oil so with a soy sensitivity you are very limited with your options. If you are hanging out and having drinks this place is great, but food selection has never thrilled me. It is alright.

Rudy M.

Yelp
The quantity and quality of pinball machines is one of the best around. Unfortunately slow service and mediocre food and overpriced drink's.

Christina P.

Yelp
So much better than Dave and Busters! Love the drinks I had, and cheese curds were really good. Has the pretzel and it was good, the beer cheese was mah.. I was hoping for a less pastie version of it. What sucked were the mahi tacos. What a disappointment! Service was decent but was with a group. Great environment with tons of games and varieties.. that was fun! I'll be coming back on my next visit.
google avatar

Edward M.

Yelp
Food can be pricey, decent taste, nothing special, friendly staff. Gaming gets expensive quick. FYI, they are very understaffed so they don't open most of the dining room. With that in mind, our waiter was quite nice. Made sure to double check answers if he wasn't sure. Fettucine Alfredo is pretty good, flavorful and fairly thick. The bread sticks that came with it i could do without but at least i could sop up the sauce which was good. Gaming gets expensive quick. So be prepared if you start playing a lot, there are prices on each of the machines to tell you how much.
google avatar

Angel A.

Yelp
Enterrium is your typical restaurant in a mall, but they also have a bowling alley. It's a cool little hangout spot for after work or with friends. The drink deals are pretty solid for Chicagoland. Happy hour every day with a couple decent deals. I went for drinks with friends and got some appetizers. The food and drink there is nothing to write home about. Bowling is fun but other than that it's ok.

J M.

Yelp
Went on a waiting list for bowling. Didn't even let us know when our time had come up Then when we finally got into the lanes. It would not keep score. It would not reset the pins. Everything had to be done manually. Then the lanes completely broke. It was just a nightmare, and then you couldn't go back through the mall. I had to walk the entire mall outside circumference in the freezing cold Made a crappy night even worse and now I have frostbite to boot.

Marcia D.

Yelp
You have to go when Richie/Robert is at the bar and ask for the Sour Almond! One of the best drinks I've ever had! He is an amazing bartender! Love this guy!
google avatar

Debra V.

Yelp
This is a fun arcade with food and bars in the old Sears building at Woodfield Mall. It's big and clean. There are lots of bowling lanes, pinballs, Ice Ball, basketball hoops, silly noisy games, and games to win stuffed animals. We came with a large group and had a lot of fun. An arcade can be played by oneself, so everyone can have a good time even if you don't know anyone. As a large group we were given game cards that were already loaded, paid by the hosting company, so we had hours of game fun. Two bars looked fully stocked. This was a good activity for all ages. A sign noted, Help Needed. Handicapped accessible.
google avatar

Nazia C.

Yelp
I came with a larger group to celebrate a graduation for which we'd had a reservation. Our group was seated in 2 separate tables in the same section, so we were split up. I saw the waitress wrote down everyone's drink orders, but some of us never received our drinks. The food was OK. Thursday is all day Happy Hour so I tried some of the Happy Hour menu items to share with the group. My husband had a Philly cheese, and he said it was OK. There is a huge arcade with lots of games, plus a bowling alley. When I went to buy the game card to play the games, the machine ran out of receipt paper right after I ran my credit card. The cashier asked me to sign a blank paper instead, which they claimed they were going to affix to the printed receipt later on. I was uncomfortable signing a blank paper, so I told them I'd wait for the receipt to print. Then, when they did finally print out my receipt, there was no place on the receipt for a signature. It just seemed shady. unprofessional, and a waste of time.

Dave B.

Yelp
I have to say I am disappointed in my recent experience at this location. We purchased 2 hours of game play only to find out at least 10 machines were broken, off or had the card scanner off so we could not play them. Other machines that required balls were missing many/most balls. These are the ones I noticed, likely more.
google avatar

Caleb N.

Yelp
I am always amazed at the quality of the food. Every entree is always incredible, the people are always friendly, and the games are always fun. The Sunday cheat day is really great, where you buy an entree and then get one free 1 hr play card.
google avatar

Valerie R.

Yelp
The food surprisingly far exceeded expectations! We were looking for a different restaurant experience to take our family for lunch on Sunday. Ran across Enterrium on a google search, since we don't live or work in the area. Saw fried food and pizza (what kid isn't into that? ) combined with the game room / bowling alley so it was an obvious choice. Felt a bit sorry for the wait staff as they were clearly short handed, but did the absolute best they could under the circumstances. The food was reasonably priced, generously portioned, and really really good! The kids played the 'free' games for an hour. (1 hr game play for each adult meal ordered was comped for non-prize machines) While adults got to visit without 'antsy' pre-teens at the table. The cocktails were fabulous, would have had more, but again, the waitstaff was spread too thin. We will be back!!
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
We are regulars here now, the food is amazing like five stars all around amazing. I don't eat meat and I have enjoyed everything from pizza, pasta and more. My family loves the new menu they have updated a few things they love the pork chops and pot roast. The staff is amazing everyone is super nice, friendly and treats you like family. The bowling is fun, decent price just shorter lanes which we didn't mind. The arcade is so much fun it's my happy place. The arcade staff is all friendly and fun to be around also the games are rarely ever broken.

Yelp
Came here for my husband's work party and it was amazing!! We are from Cali and been to many dave and busters but dave and busters had nothing on them. Hands down enterrium much better ! The drinks and food were delicious and the ambiance was great! Loved the arcade one 1 side and bowling on the other. It was the perfect combo! Only reason for 4 stars was the male bartender (shorter hispanic ) he was rude. I understand it was a busy night but everyone else who was there was sweet and atleast nice. We went to the bar 2 times only and each time we saw him he was unpleasant and seemed like he was rushing us and as if he did not want to be there. My husband was making small talk asking what he recommended and his response was "idk i don't drink that so my husband asked what other drink does he recommend regardless of the liquor-- guy said idk man and looked to me said what you want are you ready instead with major attitude. I get it- company parties must be awful to deal with but the least you could do is he pleasant. Bad day or not we watched him with other people and he was the same with everyone. Other than highly recommended!

Mark W.

Yelp
Many issues with the game/bowling machines. The TV's at the bar haven't been working for a couple weeks. Food is adequate for the price. Staff is solid!!!
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
So fun. Lots of games to play and the bartender made a amazing margarita. Definitely will be going back very soon!

Jane T.

Yelp
My son and grandson were visiting from Las Vegas so I treated them and his brother and his grandkids to an afternoon at Enterrium, their favorite special place. They cashed out some great prizes and we had a very excellent dinner. The Broccoli Fettuccine Alfredo was truly special!

Yelp
Came here with my husband again recently, and they changed their name again? This place has literally changed names 3 times within probably 5 years, so it's a little weird. From Level 257, to Pac-Man Entertainment, to currently Enterrium, not much has changed other than the name and less food choices and the quality has gone down since the original. Pretty disappointing. It's also annoying that on Yelp, this place has so many reviews that aren't for this business BECAUSE it has been multiple places in the past. Every time we come here, multiple games are broken and they don't always have signs showing it. We haven't really eaten here again in a long time because the food was disappointing multiple times in the past; they had options that they no longer have, the food quality has gone down so much and I'm not sure if it's because of understaffing or what, but everything tastes frozen and cheap. I must say, though, it does seem Enterrium is trying to add more new options, too, at least. I also got mixed drinks here that were not made well and didn't have good flavor combinations. My husband and I made the most out of our last experience here, but I'd much rather go to Dave and Buster's. We probably won't be back, at least for a long while.

Wine L.

Yelp
It's a very fun place to go to. Especially on Mondays where everything is half priced.
google avatar

Iris P.

Yelp
The ultimate social experience with crafts for the whole crew as well as shared dining! Whether you're going to Pac-Man for the arcade games, bowling, watching a game, grabbing some drinks, or even dining in it's a fun time no matter what you're up to!! The service was great and the ambience is such a good vibe!
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
We had the place to ourselves as part of a group event. The staff was great and the food was surprisingly good for a buffet.
google avatar

Torin W.

Yelp
The food was great but they gave us the wrong menu item. They were out of many drinks and gave us half of a drink. The area is great. The arcade is wonderful.

Ho L.

Yelp
Made bowling appt appt not processed and told us it takes 2 hrs to make lane rdy came back home to eat lunch while waiting got a phone call lane is rdy and can keep it for 10 min immediately drive to their place could not play due to it is past 10 min wtf r u playing with us?
google avatar

Katelyn M.

Yelp
We came for our hang out to try something new, and it was a blast! The food and drinks were delicious. There were plenty of options, all of which sounds delicious. Our sever was very attentive especially for it being his first day serving there he was on top of everything, I didn't get his name but he was great! It was bright, clean, open throughout the building. Some parts were really loud where we had to yell to interact with each other, which is to be expected with an arcade and a bowling alley, but overall it was a great experience! There was a large variety of games from pin ball, to claw machines, shooting and driving games, and your standard ticket games. It was a ton of fun!
google avatar

Mimi D.

Yelp
This place is massive. Lots of arcades. We dine at restaurant and it was fine. Nothing stands out but was not terrible. We mainly went because kids wanted to go to arcade. Price point. For meals and drinks aren't bad. Bowling is first-come first serve, so get your name on waitlist if you want to bowl. I do like that it has a separate entrance from mall. So you don't have to battle the mall crowd just to come here. It is also accessible from the mall through the food court.
google avatar

Joee G.

Yelp
This place is awesome! My husband and I played 1 hour of bowling here for $20 total (including shoe rental). The lane set up is super cute and casual with comfortable seating. The lanes/scoring are electronic and you set up the players on a touch screen. We did have trouble with the lane freezing up several times though they were quick to fix it and add some extra time onto our lane. Afterward, we purchased an arcade card and were able to load how every much (or little) we wanted in order to play some games. They have self serve stations to reload your cards for convenience.

Yelp
There's nothing worse than writing a 1-star review for a place I've spent a great deal of time and money at over the years, but I'm not writing this review for the management's sake. I am writing this for all the businesses and corporations surrounding this establishment planning holiday parties and everyone visiting the mall looking for a place to take their kids to play the video games their parents used to play. I'm part of a large group of professionals that has been coming to this location for an extended amount of time on Thursday nights, even before it was known as "Pac-Man Entertainment." Now it has a name that, if I didn't know better, had likely fallen to two former McKinsey & Company consultants to name a company something so wrong that it would nearly guarantee to get them out of a vast shopping mall lease and settled on something that sounds like what happens after the service at a mausoleum, but I digress. So this large group I hang out with at this establishment eats and drinks quite a bit, so much so, under previous management(s), the bar and wait staff would look forward to our group for the high level of courtesy we'd give the servers, but also the tips! Plus, the space we used to have for 35+ people is now being utilized with Bingo Night; seriously, if I wanted to go to bingo night, I could visit any American Legion hall and have a better time not hearing D-23 echo out of every speaker in the place. Tonight, I counted EIGHT people over by the bingo space; they didn't look like they were drinking, but I know the 30-odd people in the tiny spot they had us on Thursday night were racking up some decent bar tabs; mine was $80+ With record inflation today and a recession around the corner, if you're reading this, consider this your warning to find someplace better to spend your money, as this isn't the place.

Yelp
I am not into video games, but I am into a great beer! While walking in the Woodfield Mall, gathering my steps for the day, I stumbled in to this establishment. Yes, it is filled with kids, but yes it has a nice bar filled with good beer. The Ruebeus Nitro was awesome!

Yelp
A solid place and super fun for a date night. I have been wanting to come here for YEARS and, sadly, waiting until a few weeks ago to finally make the trip. Some of the photos are how the place was before - namely the big lego Pac-Man. That is no longer there - but it's still a very cool place. There is bowling, a restaurant and bar and then plenty of video games! Highlights were the giant Pac-Man game and a bunch of classics like Q-Bert and Tapper. Overall, we had a good time. We liked our food, the beer selection and laughed at not being as good at the arcade games as we remembered (ha!) Shout out to Giselle - server at the bar. She was super accommodating and great with her service. We even started talking to some folks next to us who were enjoying the nostalgia as well! Defiantly a fun place to check out, and there are other fun options in the area too!
