A Pricey Nightclub Pop-Up Finally Gets to Take Over the Kennedy Center Rooftop | Eater DC

"At Dupont Circle's hotspot Heist, I learned it will launch a rooftop pop-up residency at the Kennedy Center that was postponed last September after the performing-arts center raised public-safety concerns about events with more than 300 people. The rebooted summer residency begins Saturday, June 26, and will run every Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. for the next two months (weather permitting), featuring DJs, bottle service, and 60 VIP tables. Tickets went on sale June 22 at 10 a.m., with table tiers starting at $240 for a Moët & Chandon table for six and topping out at a $1,000 minimum spend for an “Ultra VIP Cabana” for 10 that includes prime real estate next to the stage, private-elevator access, dessert plates, and Red Bull packages. Heist’s parent company Versus (Castas Rum Bar, Morris American Bar) has hired Emmy-nominated producer Robert Pullen to liven the iconic perch with high-tech lighting and artistic projections." - Tierney Plumb

We went to Entrap games on 9/19/25. We selected a room that was for 2-8 (Starlit Lodge) people and we had 6 in our party. It was 100% not accessible for 6 people. We were so cramped and really struggled to include everyone. Since it was a linear room, that made it even tougher to include members of our party in solving clues. Overall, this room was ridiculously easy and we got out with plenty of time to spare. Since we had so much extra time, we decided to do another room (the hardest one available at the time - Off Limits - as the actual hardest room was closed). Two of our party left so there were 4 of us for this one. We got it with 28 minutes to spare which was insane. This room was strictly locks and numbers with nearly no difficulty or creativity. We love doing escape rooms and we usually escape right at the hour mark and need a couple of clues - we're not experts and we only go to one or two a year, if that. These were not exciting, not creative, and only had locks or magnets - nothing to keep you engaged or entertained. I'm seriously bummed that we spent a total of $280 dollars on one hour of simple padlocks. Unless they decide to switch it up with different types of puzzles and more difficulty, we definitely won't be back as the price is nowhere near competitive with many of the other escape rooms in town (which you generally get much more complicated puzzles and more storyline out of).

It was absolutely amazing! The owner Mel was such a joy to talk to and we did the room Off Limits. Very fun and challenging! We're already planning for when we can go again!

Best experient ever!!! Our group played Starlit Lodge and it was sooooo awesome!! We stuck a little bit at first but we got useful hints from the GM (Celia). Will come back for another room soon!!!!

Mel was an awesome host! We came here for a company retreat activity to do LiCastro’s Lair; it was the perfect difficult level and we had an incredible time. We escaped, but will you? 👀🦇

I had an amazing time. The escape room we did was called Starlit Lodge and it was the perfect difficulty for me. It was quite immersive and had just the right atmosphere. Mel was a great host. My family thought it was a good idea to volunteer me as the person who was solo, and that was funny. Great place for my birthday, though. I am very satisfied.

Melanie was awesome. We made it out of our room. If you're into puzzles and codes and solving with clues, then this is the place to go. I've done 3 out 4 rooms and will complete Superfecta. No matter what room you choose, it will be filled with puzzles. Starlight probably has the most "going on" and "Heist" and "Off Limits" are somewhat similiar but alot of fun.

First ever escape room for me and was uncertain if I’d really be into it as it was a gift for a friend. Was a total blast and Melanie was so great and gave just the right amount of nudge. When we needed assist due to a physical limitation she was on it and helped that member out with no real interruption to our play. Can’t wait to go back.

One of the most dynamic escape rooms that I’ve been to! It was fun to crawl through the different spaces and solve different puzzles. Charlie was fun and helped us to not overthink. Very enjoyable experience working in a team!
