I am very pleased with this lovely place, worth the drive, food was fast and delicious, and there was a nice outside seating area with a bar under a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We had a little issue with one of our meals but the manager was SO Professional and went above and beyond to make it right. Very very good customer service 👏👏👏 for sure we will come back. Also the theater area was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the movie and customer service there too.

Review is for outside bar not inside: I can’t speak for the inside area, just outside bar. So, I followed your bartender from her old work to the Enzian. Steph is the epitome of class and service with a lot of fun. You do NOT find this at many places these days. The enzian is already great but with her behind the bar you absolutely can’t lose. I highly recommend her and the location. Also, Matt is phenomenal. You can’t go wrong with these two as your service providers. Assets to your establishment is an understatement. Please do whatever you need to do to keep them around.

It's an Orlando GEM and I've been a zillion times now. Cute outside bar with good happy hour deals. I love their indie movie selections and the food is actually quite good. Heads up: it's always chilly inside the theater so bring a 'movie blankie' or dress for the burrrrr

A great option for date night. Be it your first date or an anniversary date. Also, a great way to end a busy day out with friends. Not only do you get to see a movie, you get amazing food. The flatbreads are amazing with great flavor and ingredients. Sizable enough to share. Get two different options and share you will be glad you did. This is a wonderful place to watch a movie, the set up allows for great viewing options no matter where you sit. Put this on your list of must do's, a great way to beat the heat. Or cure those winter blue's.

The seats are comfortable, the food is delicious, and the unique showings are so fun! You can tell the staff takes pride in the theater. It's always clean and everyone is super friendly.

I love the ambience of this theater- I really come here for the food more so than the cheesy movies they play. The workers are nice too the chicken tenders , the smash burger and the fantastic Funghi flatbread are all a hit ! Been coming here for years and made wonderful memories with my hubby and daughter !

Such a vibe! I came for the first time this week, the movie was so good- the volume was perfect even with the sound of eating/ plates. The seats were so comfy! I can not wait to come back again and sample the menu

I absolutely love the Enzian! It is small and quaint inside. It is always very clean and inviting! They have a really nice bar outside and a nice garden area with a fountain. I had their chicken fingers and truffle fries. Their chicken fingers are nice and crunchy and their truffle fries a perfectly seasoned. Charles was my waiter and he was very attentive. They have this new system for when you need anything once the lights go down and the movie starts. On your table is a card on a holder that if you need service you just set it up so they can see it. Before it was harder to get that extra glass of wine once the movie started. A really great place for foreign films and other great films.

Just left the Eden bar 25 min ago & sat at the bar for 20 min with two friends with 8 empty seats at the bar and the bartender never served us or another couple that walked in. Hoping this is a isolated issue as we've typically had great service here.

5 Star update for a renovated lobby, streamlined ordering from the menu, and continued excellence at what they do! I got to watch a great film at Enzian the other day and was blown away by the gorgeous lobby renovations! Think, old Hollywood, meets quirky Florida. I'm truly obsessed with the new wallpaper, huge statement rug, concession stand, and stunning chandelier. A few tips: - Order your tickets online ahead of time. Don't worry about printing them out or having them pulled up on your phone, they'll have your last name on a list at the doors. - Arrive early. They open the theater doors half an hour prior to the movie start time, and unless you're a member (with table reservation perks), you'll want to be at the doors when they open to grab a good table/seat. - Use their new SOS table signs to get your server's attention. This is an update to the way things used to work (which was clunky and involved trying to get a server's attention mid-film). The servers have super-human eyes and are over quickly once that little table sign is up. - Come hungry. I love their grilled cheese with a side of tomato soup (for dipping), but the fried chicken fingers are also delish, as are the chocolate chip cookies. This is a theater worth supporting- it's local, independent, and a non-profit arts org. Get on their email list to know what's coming up (including special screenings!) and always check here before hitting up the big chain theaters. Sometimes they're showing the same films! My pre-COVID-times review: Yet another fantastic experience at my favorite local theater. I bought my tickets early, knowing that they often sell out for weekend night screenings and loved the fact that I just had to show up and my name was on a list (no waiting in lines to pick up tickets). Word to the wise- get there early to snag a good spot! As usual, Enzian was showing something wonderful and special that I couldn't have found in any run-of-the-mill movie theater. I love their themed nights and the screening I was attending was part of a two-day Oscar theme (we caught the nominated Best Live Action Short films). I had a snack at Eden Bar prior to the movie, but made sure to save my appetite for the deliciousness that awaited me inside the theater doors. The servers were ninjas, as always. They make taking orders, delivering food, refreshing drinks, and handling payments look easy- All while the theater is dark and they have to keep their voices down and crouch so as not to disturb other movie patrons. Seriously, I imagine the training for this is similar to that of Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins. I'm always surprised by the quality of the food served at Enzian. You'd expect pretty typical fried food but they offer a great variety and the food is top notch. I decided to go with the Grilled Cheese (creamy Fontina cheese on buttery thick-cut ciabatta bread) ~drool~ and a side of Tomato Cream Soup. The bread on this grilled cheese is amazing! I don't know if they soak it in butter before grilling it, but whatever they do it's seriously good. And don't forget to dip it in your tomato soup! This is a perfect pairing and the soup is definitely not of the canned variety (sorry, Campbells...). And for desert, some hot, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. You get two, but don't be worried that you won't get your $4 worth- they are pretty darn big! Love love love. Love this place!

This makes me want to cancel my regular movie theater subscription and become a member at the Enzian. We walked up hoping to grab dinner at the bar (their food is delicious!) and ended up seeing Die Hard! There were tickets available at the box office and we figured why not try out the theater. We entered 30 min before show time and selected our seats (first come first serve). We selected two that would be good for eating dinner since that was our original purpose and ordered our food. We love the chicken tenders with honey mustard, and also got the chicken Caesar salad (sub grilled for fried chicken). The staff is kind and attentive but not overwhelming as to let you cozy in to watch the movie. If we were to need something, just pop up a sign on our table and they came over. We will definitely return soon. It's so old school, and cool it gave me childhood movie nostalgia.

I love coming here! The vibes are great for a date night or a movie night with friends. I always make sure to arrive early to get good seats. The service is great, and I always enjoy the food here.  They show a variety of films, and it's worth it to sign up for their email list so you can see what's coming next. I recommend buying tickets online for one-off showings of popular films since they often sell out ahead of time.

Every once in a while, I treat myself to dinner and a movie at our beloved Enzian Theatre. This movie house defines "if you know, you know." I've been here for Yelp events, for my annual Oscar-nominated Animated Shorts viewing, etc. Food is actually good here, too. I definitely recommend their Black Bean Burger. They do tons of events and have everything from Peanut Butter matinees to NYE parties. Enzian is also a solid hang. Come, sit, eat, drink, relax. It doesn't get any better than that. Actually, that's not true. Since their renovations, Enzian actually HAS gotten better. And aren't we all the richer for it?

I want to gate keep but I won't! This is one of the best theatres I've been too it has a similar vibe to the Angelika film center in NY. The service is fast and friendly! The featured films are amazing. The food is perfect and the drinks are always on point. The outside bar is also a vibe!

Looks like I originally reviewed Enzian about eight years ago. I've been coming several times a years since then, so I reckon it's time for a review update. Really, though, I don't have much to update. I still love it with the same enthusiasm that I did back then, if not more. The food is about the same. That's my only gripe with the place. It's been the same exact menu for many, many years. I would like to see something different, but honestly, the food is so good, it's not necessary, though. They have the 2nd best chicken tenders in town, the best black bean burger I've had in town, and some of the best layered nachos I have ever seen. So yea, food still banging. The service is still top notch. They have added a new communication system that involved flipping up or down signs on your table to signal that you need assistance. This is greatly appreciated, so you can get a server's attention without making a loud ruckus in the middle of a movie. As for the ambiance, this is something that I'm very glad hasn't changed much after all these years. The dark, intimate vibes they put on are so nice and calming. There isn't a bad seat in the house. And they actually just replaced their already comfortable chairs with even More comfortable chairs. I could sit there all day long. And sometimes, I do. One habit I've picked up is attending the Florida Film Festival with the Film Lover pass, so I can watch all movies possible when I'm not at work. I love the FFF. Don't get me wrong, I'm down for a good Mission Impossible movie with explosions and copious violence, but I also hunger for foreign films, short films, documentaries, and the FFF satisfies that hunger over a week-long bender that is full of those aforementioned chicken tenders. So overall, if you just happen to be reading this, and have never been to Enzian, you have to check it out. The food is top notch, the movies are top notch, and you will come back, repeatedly.

If I could sum up the Enzian theater in a few words, simply put...film, food, friends....and FUN! Pulling into the Theatre parking lot and seeing a lovely, lush garden with a quaint chalet tucked away, immediately brought a smile to my face. The staff and servers are a great group of individuals that seem to enjoy what they do. The seating was arranged in the coolest way for a date or a group of friends. This was my first trip but definitely not my last. My interest in independent films and supporting the arts has heightened and I look forward to helping bring light to the theatre in every way possible.

Pros: The movies they choose to play are modern and super good quality, cult classics that first timers get the chance to see in theaters, or horrific and cringey but on purpose. All great options. The food is top notch. They have some of the best chicken tenders in town, and their flatbreads are crispy and full of toppings. Service is always super friendly and will go out of their way to make their demanding WP clientele happy. The theatre itself is stunningly beautiful and very comfortable. Cons: While their menu is good, it hasn't changed in years and years, and even an occasional special would be nice, honestly. When their members don't show up for movies and their seats just sit there empty, it's pretty annoying that they can't give those away to more deserving people who actually show up on time to things. Tips: Come see movies for the Florida Film Festival! One of the best Orlando events, hands down.

The Enzian Theater and Eden Bar is one of my very favorite places in Orlando. Even with just one theater (currently!), they draw locals to be able to sit back in a comfortable space and watch award winning films and kick back cult classics. While doing so, they've got a menu full of legitimately delicious food (the Chicken & Fries are my absolute go-to - always get the truffle salt and shaved parm added!) and a great drink menu. You can order wine and beer inside the theater, but it's always worth stepping outside to get cocktails and brews on tap outside at the Eden Bar. I'm seeing during my visit today they they're working on renovating the theater - some parts, like most of the different seats and chairs at the tables are already new! It will always be worth your time to come to the Enzian.

Wow, what an old fashioned good time! I loved the atmosphere of the Enzian Theatre. It's small, unique, and perfect for a date night. I didn't get to try the Eden Bad, but definitely check it out an hour before your film time for some good deals. I had the grilled cheese, and oh my goodness, it was delish. Our service was great, and the seats were wonderful. They have a combination of current films, independent, and specialty flicks. I definitely will be back to watch another!

I went to two events, the Oscars showing and their New Year's Eve party and had a great time both times. For the New Year's Eve party is James Bond theme, they had a live band playing, we got the vip that included open bar and tapas/appetizer plates all night, it's definitely worth it to pay for the extra, they have meatballs in a sweet sauce that are so good. Service was superb and I had so much fun and enjoy the shows. Definitely recommended

Beautiful location. Polite friendly service. Ordered the chicken quesadilla. Terrible. Barely any chicken. All vegetables. Didn't enjoy. Drinks were good. Dog friendly. Would go again. They have a theater which I was unable to enjoy due to time restraints. I'd go again but just not order the chicken quesadilla.

"FILM IS ART" The motto above is the tag line for the Enzian Theater. As someone who attends many performances in the Orlando region and other locales, I've appreciated the fact this is Central Florida's only full-time independent cinema. I recently attended an event held by Opera Orlando at the theater but, in previous years I've watched regular feature films and enjoyed the Enzian's variety of food items and the available seating arrangements. There are numerous events throughout the year including the Florida Film Festival and festivals running the gamut from children and teen films to South Asian and Jewish films. From the standard big box office movie fan to those seeking independent or arthouse fare, the Enzian has you covered. I had the opportunity to speak with Bobby, the box office manager, and advised I plan on patronizing their location more often in the new year. This is truly one of the businesses that make Central Florida a great place to live.

Great diversity in the films shown here. We have a membership and use it to the fullest with free popcorn and table reservations. The servers are usually really nice and the food is usually really good. So happy to have traded in our A-List membership for this one!!

I have been going to the Enzian for years and the experience is consistent. Could the inside use some updates (new chairs, upholstery, etc) yes, but it also adds to the class of this place and what makes it special. At least it is clean, then that would be a different story. There are always great cult classics, new releases or shirts you would typically only see if you went to a film festival. I have seen films from local directors here as well and appreciate the support they have for local artists. The food won't knock your socks off but it is good and perfect for watching a movie. You can order beer and wine in the theater but no cocktails. Though if you order at the Eden Bar outside you can bring the cocktail in. So whether you want a fun date spot or just to be able to watch a movie while eating, this is the spot for you.

Every time I go to Enzian, I realize I need to visit more often. It's such a fun spot to grab dinner and drinks and watch a movie -- the perfect date night or meet up with friends! We noticed a movie we wanted to see was playing at Enzian when we saw the sign driving by. We scooped up tickets for the weekend and decided to make it a date night. It's great to get to there a little early so you can pick out a good seat. Some chairs are facing toward the screen and others are sideways around the tables, which is a challenging vantage point. I do love that it's got an indy vibe at that there's table service for dinner and drinks though. The menu has lots of options ranging from truffle fries (really good!) to veggie burgers, flatbreads, soup, and sandwiches. You can also order beer and wine in the theater. If you'd like a cocktail, you can go outside to the main bar and bring it inside, which sounds like a pain but it actually only takes a couple min and is super easy. There are lots of cool movies showing here, even some kids movies coming up for Christmas too! Parking is simple too - lots of reasons to come check out this local staple!

Swung by to catch the Satantics Hispanics flick here to support and to celebrate Latin Heritage month! It was 5 movies in one by 5 different Latin movies directors! Seriously this movie was such a treat and I was so proud of what these directors brought us. I know I am gushing more about the movie than the theater so allow me not to forget to say thanks to Enzian too for showing our community the love as it wouldn't be possible without y'all as well. Highly recommended and highly needed!

I've already written a review on the theatre, so this will be an update specifically for Donn of the Tiki. Not exactly what I was thinking of when I saw the preview. The movie itself was much more sad and dramatic than I was expecting. What an amazing and full life Don The Beachcomber lived. I would definitely recommend it even if you aren't a huge fan of "Tiki" culture.

rating 5 stars bc their tomato soup is the best i've ever had (weird for a movie theater, but just trust). i don't even like tomato soup like that, but i dream of theirs.

I've loved the Enzian for decades but this was my first "uncomfortable brunch" experience. The portions were easily shareable and the food was pretty good. Purchase your tickets online or at the box office prior to getting in line. I suggest going with a partner so you can have one person in line while the other takes advantage of some of Eden bars specials. Definitely a must do.

I've been coming here for years- and I've never seen a movie I didn't like at this theater. The Enzian has such an inviting outside bar area. The inside is just tables and chairs- and you can order food and drinks.I've celebrated Halloween here. I've attended the Florida Film Festival.I've even seen some cult classics on the big screen.

The outside bar has a beautiful bar and they recently replaced the chairs in the theater with ones that are more comfy and sturdy. The staff does a great job bringing us whatever we need while we enjoy the movie and the food is better than any theater. I especially love the cookies that come out hot.

The Enzian Theater is a great place to meet up with friends or have a date. They have an outside bar and great selection of food on their menu. Or you can watch a movie and order food while you're watching the movie.

I've been coming to the Enzian theater since I was a teenager. It's one of my favorite places in all of Orlando. I love it's art house cinema vibes and the movie selections are always excellent. Places like this are hard to come by these days. I love that you can order a good meal here, also. I've tried almost everything on the menu but my favorite is always the thick grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. My friend's know that's all I ever order here now. Cocktail bar and wine selection is top notch, also.

Loved the theater! The place is super welcoming and cozy to go to. I watched Nosferatu with a friend as my first movie there and will 100% come back. Service was super friendly and the food was amazing and a great price.

The Enzian theater is an absolute gem. They play independent movies, cult favorites, and other interesting selections. The menu could be updated, but they bring you food while you're watching a cool movie on a couch so I'm not complaining. You can get delicious cocktails outside at the bar or beer and wine inside. Buy your tickets early because most shows sell out.

Pros: Iconic Orlando movie theater that you must visit once. They show mostly classic or indie movies, so if you're a fan of those types of films, this is the place for you. You can eat lunch or dinner in addition to the fact that there's a bar there. The ambiance is unique and eclectic. Cons: The audio system is outdated and not suitable for the rooms there, making the sound off. In addition, the films sometimes change colors on the screens. As for the decor, it could be updated. Overall score: C-

I have been going here for over 2 years now. Such a great spot for a good date night. They have unique cult classics as well as newer films. The service is always great and the food isn't half bad either. They only serve beer and wine and it's not the best selections but still great. If you get there early you can sit at the bar outside and enjoy some cocktails beforehand. A nice tucked away spot in Maitland.

Such a nice theater, if you have some extra time, please check out Eden bar. Some of the best chicken tenders I've had in my life and some of the best service workers that make you feel at home.

One of my all-time favorite places ever.... tonight I went a little earlier to sit outside and have a nice cold beer. The staff had masks on and the tables were distanced appropriately without making it feel like you're alone. I had their grilled shrimp, and that was yummy. About 30 minutes before the movie started I headed in to my reserve seat, which I love the perk of being a member at this fine establishment.. I ordered the chili to go because I honestly think they have some damn good chili, then ordered the fried chicken salad. I ask them to place it on a plate because I find it easier to eat that way. I usually don't even need the dressing. It was a lovely evening.

Today was volunteer orientation for the 29th annual Florida Flim Festival produced by the Enzian Theater. The festival is an Oscar qualifying festival with aprox 195 films planned to be shared which includes features and short films. Throughout the year various films can be enjoyed along with a meal in the cozy theater. The presentations from staff were specific and informative. The volunteers ranged from 1st time like myself up to over 7 years. The opportunities to volunteer include drivers, events, runners, film pre screening, quality and marketing. There is alot to remember so next steps sign up for your volunteer shifts and come prepared but when in doubt reach out to staff. Hubby attended with me so hopefully we can have some of the same shifts to drive together. We are looking forward to meeting new people, supporting the festival, enjoying the events and of course the films! We hope for great weather and a safe healthy festival!

It felt so good to sink back into one of the Enzian Theater's couches to watch a documentary after a year of watching movies from home. I missed going to showings at this theater because the atmosphere always elevates my viewing experience. The theater has an impressive selection of films from classics to new releases. This is the perfect place to tap into your inner-film buff and experience unique and thought provoking movies. The theater has a variety of seating with high top tables, booths, and couches. The food that they serve during the movies is very delicious. I always enjoy a classic chicken finger platter or get a crispy sandwich to munch on during the films. They will take your order prior to show beginning and the staff is skilled at bringing out your meal without distributing the film. And after the showing, you have to stop outside at the Eden Bar for a fantastic tiki drink! They have had a strong re-opening and the theater still asks patrons to wear masks when not actively eating or drinking. The seating options is naturally distanced and I was able to escape into the film without being worried about COVID-19.

Love the Eden Bar! Great shareable plates and cocktails! Before they show! The outside seating is amazing! It will get you in the mood! The best bartenders in the area!

This is a perfect local theater! I remember these types of theaters when I lived up north. I wish they had more auditoriums, then they could show more than one movie at a time. I will say the food, drinks, and popcorn and a better price than the normal chain theaters. So be prepared to save some money on that!

How have I never reviewed the Enzian?! One of my favorite spots in Orlando. I've been coming here for a few years and it never seizes to amaze me. They critically acalimed films from The Film Festival, New Indie releases, Cult classics and even Movies on the lawn. This is also no ordinary theatre because it's dine in so you can order food and drinks to enjoy while you watch. They make great drinks and food at the Eden Bar which you can also order outside at the bar. Sometimes Enzian is the only place playing these movies and it's nice to know they will. I've seen just about every Wes Anderson release here. Nothing like waiting in line for the a movie you've been waiting all year for. Enzian is the perfect place for a movie night with friends, a romantic date or a movie on the lawn with your family.

Great independent movies house "way up there" 5 minutes north of Winter Park Village/15 minutes north of downtown Orlando. Outside is Eden - a fantastic alfresco bar and café. It's one of my favorite spots in Orlando for a drink, a bite, and just a low-key hang-out on a nice Florida evening. Oh, yeah - there's also an amazing art-house theater attached! It rotates between artsy/indie movies, cult classics, and the occasional blockbuster. Various types of seating in the theater for groups of 2-4, but many are reserved for members. It's first come, first seated, though I've sat all over this theater and there are not any "bad" seats. All are at a table, and there is wait service with a nice menu of drinks and eats. This place is a gem, and one of the unique things about Orlando. It's also very popular, for good reason. :)

The Enzian Theater is Winter Parks best movies night out. You can sit all cozy and order food and drinks. There is an out door bar with great atmosphere. Best of all they are know for featuring the arts and film fest! It is a most go!

I came here last night to watch The Tragedy of Macbeth. Having arrive early and the movie not starting until 9:15 pm, I grabbed a seat at the Eden Bar. There was a couple at the bar eating a flatbread, so I decided to try a Pepperoni Flatbread to go with my Samuel Adams Cold Snap. It did not take long for my order to arrive. Piping hot and cheesy. Really cheesy! So cheesy that Chester Cheetah would be happy! With the doors opening at 8:45 pm for the movie, I went in and grabbed a small table towards the back of the theater. Looking at the menu, I decided to order the Olde Hearth Pretzel Sticks to go with my beer. These are really good. Freshly baked and hot, served with a horseradish honey mustard dip and a spicy cheese dip. I preferred the cheese dip for the pretzels. And the movie is really good. With Denzel and Frances, how can it not be? All in all, it was a wonderful evening. The weather was cool and comfortable for dining outside at the Eden Bar. The servers at both Eden Bar and Enzian were friendly and provided great service, and the food was fantastic. And both the bar and theater are kept well cleaned. It is nice to be able to watch movies on the big screen. I miss it. And I miss this place. Have not been here since this whole COVID19 business started. The Enzian Theater request that guests wear masks except while eating and drinking. Most of the patrons, including me, wore masks. But when that Sam Adams gets here.....! And most of the patrons made an effort to social distance, selecting tables with plenty of space between the next party. I always enjoyed coming here for a movie and a bite to eat. And I'll get in here again when there is a movie I really want to see. If you really love movies and have not been to Enzian, put it on your places to go list.

We always like to go here whenever they are playing some of the retro films and enjoy a cocktail along with some great appetizers and even a burger, they have been around a long time and it's always a fun night out

The food and service was great and the Ambiance was absolutely perfect and perfect sound system and they show great movies and it's perfectly perfect

The only thing I recommend is the film watching aspect itself. Such a beautiful theater with lots of options for seating from chairs to tables to bench style to couch. Really nice and comfortable with good AC. The food, meh. I'm sure the publix frozen food section are happy that they're getting business from Enzian since that's basically what it is. The price is also pretty ridiculous for the food. But again the theater itself is gorgeous. Always enjoyed watching independent films about old women who live in vans or ballerinas that turn into swans and go down on Mila Kunis.

Do yourself a favor and get the chicken tenders!!! They are the best I've had in a long time!! Sitting outside at the bar was a great experience!

The Enzian is a gem of a place. It's a community. From the feature films to the various film events, there's nothing like it in Orlando. Be sure to drop by Eden bar for some drinks before or after your movie!

Fabulous outside bar. Good food and service both outside and in the theater. The ambiance is funky oasis and I like it!
