A West End favorite for wood‑fired pizzas, scratch pastas, and seafood, Bistro Enzo marries Mediterranean spirit with Montana sourcing. Chef James Honaker has earned James Beard attention, and the cozy chef’s counter makes dinner feel like a conversation with the kitchen.

This is my new favorite spot to go when I’m in Billings for work. The wine list is extensive, the food is impressive, and the staff are so incredibly kind. The beef tenderloin, carbonara, and crusted halibut were all phenomenal. I only wish I had room for dessert. Looking forward to my next visit!

Google
I'm giving Enzo 4 stars for the food. The tuna from the ahi tuna tartare was bad. Bad as in old and fishy. We love tuna tartare, and we each had a bite, and we did not want to take another one. They did credit us on that, so not a big deal. If you know about great crabcakes, then these are just decent. The salads were amazing, as well as the wine selection. The shrimp and grits are okay, but IMO, are not worth 35 bucks. That's for sure. I was expecting a lot of jumbo shrimp. Service was great, and I do like the overall look and feel of the restaurant. I would recommend having a really good salad and some wine so far.

Google
Fantastic Italian restaurant. I ordered the veal piccata. It looked excellent, generously portioned, smelled wonderful, and everything seemed cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, halfway through dinner my wife decided it was the right time to let me know she wanted a divorce. The waitstaff was terrific. My water glass was always full, which was helpful since I was constantly refilling myself with fluids as I was draining them out of my eyes. Our server’s timing was flawless, somehow checking in right as I was choking back a fresh bout of painful tears. Mamma mia, my missing matrimony. The atmosphere was quiet and well-lit, perfect for an early evening dinner. Unfortunately, that also meant everyone in the room could hear me trying to process the death of our marriage while she happily cleaned her plate. She really enjoyed her food. Overall, five stars. Great food, great service, great ambiance. Molto bene. Best veal piccata I never tasted.

Google
Enzo's is a perfectly fine dinner out. My wife had the fish, I had the eggplant parm, and both were good. Nothing exceptional, but but no major flaws either. However, Enzo's is a good representation of how lacking the Billings fine dining scene is. It frequently wins awards for things like "Best Italian", and more ridiculously "Most Romantic". Again, nothing wrong with the location or atmosphere, but it isn't the least bit romantic. It's solidly executed mid-tier dining, but sadly it's also about the best Billings has to offer.

My family and I have gone to Enzo's since the beginning. We have always enjoyed their stellar service, attitude, theme, and food. Unfortunately, tonight was the first time that we experienced the worst service. Our waitress (grey hair and glasses) was very rude, entitled, and made us feel very inferior during our entire dinner. Reservation was made for 5pm, we arrived 10 minutes before, we were seated within the main dining area. It was quiet with 2-3 smaller parties present. Once we sat down and received the menu, she immediately started asking us what to drink when we haven't had a chance to look. Then, we were in the middle of a conversation when she starts running through the menu options so fast that she was annoyed with us when we tried to understand what she was saying. Once the restaurant got busier, she became more annoyed when we asked for a menu as we could not hear her for the desserts. She then stated with entitlement "I am the menu" and proceeds to ramble through the selections like it was an auction house. Two of my family members have hearing disabilities and felt disheartened by her attitude. It is very inconvenient to have the main phone line be in the dining room as it was ringing nonstop throughout our entire dinner which made it even more difficult for my family members to enjoy the evening. The food was stellar, the atmosphere was incredibly loud, and the waitress honestly treated us like we were below her. Do better Enzo's.

Google
Jill, thank you for being delightful and serving us an absolutely amazing meal! Three of us dined "family style" tonight and selected 3 outstanding meals to share between us: seared diver scallops with hot honey drizzled fried brussels , coconut prawns with curry, and bigeye seared tuna. So incredibly good, all of it! The fourth person in our party had the burger and was also very happy with his meal. Thank you for everything!

Google
Dinner was tasty - the server was excellent. My husband had his medium cooked steak still mooing, which they corrected. The beet salad was wonderful! Major issue we had was it was SO loud in there, you have to practically shout to hear your dinner mates. Still worth a trip I'd say - but expect the bill to be on the higher side.

Google
The pork ribeye was delicious!!! It’s all about the street fight based sauce I’ll tell ya. Asked my wife to try it and she said “that’s better than my steak” With inquisitive thoughts, I just had to try a piece of her steak. For the 1,359,047th time, my wife was right!!!

Yelp
The experience at Enzo's was outstanding. My girlfriend and I are pretty regular at Marble Table, but Enzo's may just have them beat. I had the lamb, potatoes and asparagus. As a consumate foodie - this was hands down one of the best dishes I've ever had. I spent nearly ten years in the service industry, so greatly appreciated the fantastic service. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and suggested a fantastic wine pairing for our meal. I can't recommend this place enough. One of the best meal experiences, not just in Billings, but anywhere. If youre looking for a place to suit up and bring a date for an anniversary or other special occasion, this is your spot!

Paige N.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere--even despite the restaurant being situated between a McDonald's and a Taco Bell. the service was fabulous. Really attentive and professional servers. We enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer. All the starters looked really good. I almost could have filled up on just those alone! I enjoyed my ribeye for the most part. However, it wasn't as amazing as I was expecting it to be. It was lacking flavor (typically the result of being under-salted before it's seared), though the gravy that came with it was spot-on. But without that, it would have suffered. The lobster mac and cheese was a little disappointing. I feel like my measuring stick for a good mac and cheese is the one at Cheesecake Factory. Super creamy and luscious. This was more like a weak cream sauce with some bits of lobster. It's a pretty pricey place, but it's fun to go there on a special occasion!

Yelp
food was amazing and so service! A great place to eat and chat. not quite as good as the Marble Table but close.

Yelp
We ate at Bistro Enzo for my husband's birthday Saturday May 10. The reservation was for 6:00 for 8 people. The place was so noisy and loud that the people in our group who were sitting beside each other had to yell at each other just to be heard- then that was even a struggle!! I was so disgusted, we couldn't get out of there fast enough!no more eating there for a long while!

Yelp
I ate some pasta which was very good. The service was great and the woman named shaqelli gave great service. The place was very cool and the gorilla statue at the front was kinda scary.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner this past Friday. He is a lifelong Montanan, and I've been here 20 years, and we've always wanted to try it. Unfortunately, I was not bowled over. We ordered the calamari, which was exquisite. The batter was light and crispy, and the calamari was tender. Not an easy feat. However, being Sicilian, I am very picky about pasta and the authenticity of the sauce. My husband got the carbonara, which is just supposed to be egg, pecorino Romano, and guanciale. This had cream and proscuitto, and the linguini was slightly overdone. Not mush, but not al dente, either. I got the lobster mac and cheese, and again, the penne was slightly overdone and the cheese sauce was kind of boring, with tiny pieces of lobster. Not really worth $25. I can make lobster mac and cheese myself, and mine is better. I was also disappointed to see that the menu is still the same from the Summer, and not rotated for the seasons. To sum up, it was good...ish, not great. We will probably come back to try it again. We'll see.

Yelp
Wonderful dinner , excellent attentive service, my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves this evening. Looking forward to another dinner night at Bistro Enzo

Yelp
Great service. Burrata appetizer very nice. My wife's Halibut was cooked perfectly. Santa Fe pasta had a nice depth of flavor but only mildly spicy.

Randy R.

Yelp
Had reservations at the Chefs Table New Years Eve. Service was great! I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the breaded shrimp. Food was outstanding! Had a great time chatting with the couple next to us. Bistro Enzo did not disappoint! Mickey was amazing as always as a chef! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Incredible food, service and ambience! Hands down best in town. Tyler who you can't miss has reenergized this Billings staple. I think every subpar review that's been made about this place is customer error. They have expectations and then right a review because this place didn't serve a certain plate that THEY wanted that they just assumed was on the menu. Killer place. DYOR. Don't miss out

Kelli D.

Yelp
Since my last review I was at Enzo again last night. Food delicious as expected. But this time the service was lousy. We spent quite a bit of money and we expected some attentiveness It was just too much time from the appetizer to the meal.

J H.

Yelp
Save your time and money and either go nextdoor to McD's or to Olive Garden. No idea how this wins awards as Best of Billings....

Brayden W.

Yelp
great food great service, what more could you ask for! Ryan is amazing always keeping an eye on us for anything we might need, a true all star at this restaurant!!! My wife and I had a fantastic experience for her birthday.

Yelp
We do love the Mediterranean flavors and options at Enzo's! It is ala carte but I still order the beet salad (they even allow me to order it without the greens and Gorgonzola cheese). In fact, they are extremely accommodating to all my non-dairy needs and adjust any dish. Great wine selection as well, and there is no hurry to eat and get out. We do enjoy it but it can get very loud on busy nights.

Yelp
Enzo is our choice for a dinner with adult children on special occasions. Calimari appetizer is Wyatt's fav. Always good seafood specials. The ribeye is big enough to share. Ellie likes their no-fuss fries. Service always excellent. Consistently good. Luscious desserts. We tend toward creme brulee.

Yelp
Food is delicious. Great service amazing staff. all the food taste amazing and it tasted like it was freshly cooked not frozen.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Great food & great service. From the apps to the salad to the entree to the desert. Must go!

Yelp
Upscale Italian. We were in the mood for lasagna and spaghetti so were disappointed they didn't offer that on the menu. Be sure to look at the menu! Other than that, the Special stuffed mushroom appetizer was wonderful and the pizza and salad was very good.

Yelp
Oyyyyyyy! I so badly wanted to LOVE this place. We called to reserve a table knowing they closed at 11pm, only to discover the kitchen closed at 9:30 (our ETA). The host was kind enough to accommodate our late arrival by asking the kitchen to stay open a bit longer. What an angel! We were seated promptly, served a tasty glass of wine and some iced water. Our server was kind, professional, and succinct. The atmosphere was okay (I'm a designer so I can be a bit bit-picky) - yet clean! Our 3 courses came out perfectly timed. However, the flavors and presentation was unfortunately lacking. The ribeye was fine. The beets on the salad seemed like they were canned? The portables-mozzarella pasta was...a strange amalgamation of marinara sauce over a bed of lettuce and chunks of mozzarella topped with pesto pasta. It felt like a desperate attempt to make a vegetarian option when a pasta primavera would've been far more elegant and appealing to the palette. Sigh.

Yelp
Oh my! What a treat on my visit to Billings to have dinner with special friends at Enzo's! Crab cakes, calamari, were very tasty, the cod entree was super delicious and the desserts delightful!

Yelp
All I can say is AMAZING! Best food in town. Everything was so fresh, service is unmatched, and the food is the best I've had in Montana. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If we want a fancy night with Mediterranean food the only place in town. Very very good food. Great atmosphere and wonderful serving staff. Don't forget to order the tuna tartare and a glass of red wine. They have a Lotta good wine.

Cary And Paula W.

Yelp
The food last night was disappointing. I hadn't been to Enzo in a few years. The calamari was not even close to what is was before. My beet salad had 2 very small pieces of beets. The veal picatta was a total different recipe and not very good. The service was good but it will be a very long time before I try Enzo again. Very expensive also.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Our server Daisy was fantastic. Food presentation was amazing. Will definitely keep coming.

Yelp
Well, we were excited to go here because of the reviews we have twin eight year old girls almost 9 are very well behaved. They stuck us in the nose bleeds upstairs because we didn't have a reservation. Coincidentally, all the other families with all the kids were upstairs as well seems like they forgot us. We were there for an hour and a half and we only had salads when they said hey do you want me to box that up for you to go? I said we haven't had our dinner yet. Oh yes, it's on its way. Well almost 2 hours into the whole thing we said, just box it up we'll take it home. They overextended themselves. Food was actually good once I had it the next day. We won't be going back.

Yelp
Great service. Great food. Love that the new ownership is easing into the transition. He definitely knows enough to not alienate the demographic that has supported this establishment for years, and is handling the updates with "kid gloves". Well done.
google avatar

Margaret L.

Yelp
I had high hopes coming in and immediately liked the interior and music. The atmosphere was great and the service was good. Prompt but not overwhelming. I drink a lot of water but they were great about keeping my glass full. Unfortunately I thought my entree was only ok. I got the duck which was overcooked for the medium rare I ordered. I could have overlooked this since the meat was still rich and tender however the rest of the dish was equally disappointing. The sauce on the udon noodles was bland and just left me wanting more flavor. I would give it another try but would not get the duck again.

Yelp
Bistro Enzo is a nice Friday night dinner spot for family time or for something a little more romantic. They feature Italian/Mediterranean cuisine with pasta dishes, pizza, and protein-based mains. They even have a vegan main option! I would recommend the tuna tartare as a starter, it's served with mini toasts, which complimented the tuna more than I expected. The pasta dishes are solid, but if you're looking for an authentic carbonara, this is not the one for you. It's made with cream and an optional egg on top. However it still is a solid dish. The other dishes are solid, both in flavor and in portion size. I would not recommend the cheesecake for a dessert option. It was supposed to be a coconut cheesecake, but it tasted more like some frozen cheesecake you could find at Costco. I haven't tried the other offerings, but here's hoping they are better. Service was medium, our server came over a few times but wasn't super attentive. However, given the current situation, I would try this place again when life is a little closer to "normal" Overall impression: solid place for a family meal or romantic night out with good flavors and good portions (7/10)

Yelp
Enzo's was great! I had one of the wood fired pizzas and my wife had the Seafood Trio. For a started we had calamari. The pizza had a great taste to it and it was not over seasoned. Perfect blend of spices. It was the classic margarita pizza. My wife said the seafood trio was delicious and she would recommend it for anyone that enjoys that taste. The calamari was delicious as well. It was not overly breaded and it was well seasoned. And a large portion as well. The atmosphere was relaxing and the smells from the kitchen were mouth watering. The staff was friendly and professional. I believe our server was Nate.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite restaurant in Billings. Ever since the ownership change, however, everything (food quality, service, cleanliness, ambiance, overall experience, etc.) has gone completely downhill. Because it was for several years my favorite restaurant in town and because new management in the food-service industry often requires a fair adjustment period, I gave the new owners several different chances to deliver on my favorite place in Billings. Unfortunately, the last and final chance we gave the new Enzo was in early March 2021 for my son's birthday. The food was completely inedible and made us all sick and the service was completely inept to the point where we had to inquire about the status of the meal we ordered over an hour prior multiple times (and only did so due to having very young children with us whom we had to feed and get to bed at a decent hour). Among other things, our table ordered multiple wise guy pizzas, the ahi tuna tartare, white shrimp and vegetable tempura, truffle parmesan fries, calamari and all the adults ordered the fresh herb crusted scallops for their main course. Everything was way too salty, poorly prepared and the food was not fresh at all. All in all, it was a terrible, frustrating and extremely overpriced experience that gave everyone heartburn and otherwise ruined a very happy occasion. It is a shame, as for years we loved Enzo, and, until recently, celebrated most special occasions there. As such, we have so many excellent memories of this place, but, unfortunately, will not be returning.

Thomas H.

Yelp
Always consistent great food and professional wait staff. Our favorite restaurant in town.

Yelp
I chose this restaurant because it was open late, and the chef is a James Beard award winner (Best Chef, Northwest in 2012, 2013, and 2014). You can't go wrong, right? I was seated promptly without any issues. I started with a caesar salad, and I have to admit I was disappointed. All that was there was lettuce, onions, cheese, and dressing. No anchovies? This seemed strange to me. For my entree, I chose the bison meatloaf. This was definitely more interesting than the salad. The meatloaf was covered in cheese (yum!) and wrapped with bacon, served on top of a sweet potato hash and asparagus (substituted for black beans). Bacon always makes everything better! This was appropriately seasoned, and I would order this again. It's because of this special, I give the restaurant three stars instead of two stars. The service was slow. I got up to get my own condiments since the waiter took a long time. The restaurant was not busy; there were only about 15 cars in the parking lot. The tables on either side of me were empty. If I am ever in Billings again, I would return!

Sue E.

Yelp
I went here with friends a few weeks back. It was amazing! Wish I had photos! I'll go back soon and update, but it was very nice!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I really wanted to enjoy this place. With a full parking lot of MT license plates, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the appetizers and soup were substandard and the main course was so delayed, my son had two bites of his meal and we requested main courses to go. The guitar player was enjoyable while we waited, unfortunately, the delay was beyond reasonable.
google avatar

Purple P.

Yelp
Food was good but extremely slow service. Filled up on appetizers during the nearly two hour wait for my main. Only had room for a couple bites of my main. I took of home but it wasn't great reheated, the sauce separated

Kelsey T.

Yelp
Best place to eat in all of billings! Appetizers are to die for. All entrees and mains are positively perfect. Would recommend for any fancy or semi casual dining needs.

Roland N.

Yelp
Great fresh seafood. Love the calamari. Great pasta dishes. Delicious pizza. Awesome staff.

Yelp
Excellent West End restaurant with outstanding food and service. We enjoy sitting upstairs in the lone booth. Very cozy and warm with window on two side of the corner. For an appetizer we always split the Wiseguy Pizza. For dessert, we're big fans of the Creme Brulee. For the main course, throw a dart... it's all good! They do a pounded/breaded pork every now and then that is fantastic. The steak special is always great. We love the couscous has been on the menu and is full of flavor and spicy also. However, the Veal Piccata is my go-to dish. The sides served with it over the years have changed but it's currently back to it's original form with a side of pasta and broccolini. There are so many other great entrees. I've been going for decades and love this restaurant. Go, eat, enjoy!

Cee D.

Yelp
Everything was excellent! Their recipes are unique and delicious and their service is fantastic. High quality food that makes for a great celebration destination.

Yelp
I don't know why it has taken several years to go here and I am disappointed it did because it was superb! We had both specials lamb bolognese, ribeye with Demi glaze and the bruschetta app and all were delicious! Only complaint of the whole dinner is the bread was very salty, the bread would be great alone or without the butter spread they cook it with! Very good atmosphere and staff was very attentive and friendly! Highly recommend for a date night out or a friend gathering or just because you deserve good food!
google avatar

Dylan B.

Yelp
Table of four. We all wanted to love this place. Friendly staff and good mood of decor. Food was okay

Rose M.

Yelp
I'm not understanding all of these 4 & 5 stars reviews this restaurant has. This is definitely Not a gourmet restaurant that is deserving of more than 2 stars on a good day. We picked up dinner for my grandsons birthday & what a disappointment. Salty overcooked food that gave us the worse heartburn I have ever experienced. The Dairy Queen in Billings is more enjoyable & doesn't give you that awful heartburn that didn't let me sleep all night. The cost per person this place charges it's an outrage considering the heartburn, super salty food obviously cooked by a person in desperate need of extensive culinary training. Enzo has seen better days when the restaurant had an executive chef that is no longer there. Attention Owner: hire an executive chef or risk losing clientele.

Yelp
We've always had quality food and service at Enzos! I think my family and friends have been enjoying Enzos for 15 years!

Sam T.

Yelp
So Yelp says they are open until 11pm but due to Covid they are closing earlier we got there about 10 minutes before they closed. They seated us and were extremely pleasant and friendly. The food was off the charts good! I had the Greek Salad, split the shrimp cocktail and the Halibut special ~ amazing! My husband had the Veal Piccata ~ perfectly prepared. Next time we are in Billings we will definitely be stopping by again. Also they were all in with the horseradish in the cocktail sauce and it was delicious!

Yelp
I asked my husband where in Billings he wanted to go for his birthday, and he chose Enzo's. It had been about two years since we had been here. It was just as good as we remembered! We ordered the Crispy Calamari for an appetizer, which was exquisite! It was both crispy and chewy, and dipping it into the voodoo cocktail sauce created the perfect taste combination. My husband had a steak that was cooked to perfection, along with a draft beer, and I had the Greek salad entrée topped with beef steak. We enjoyed every bite of our dinners. Enzo's no longer serves a bread basket with the meals, but it is still available for a small charge. All in all, it was a very enjoyable dinner and we will be back again for special occasions.
google avatar

Yelp
Very solid meal, from soup to nuts. Best meal I've had in Billings in a long time. Excellent standard menu choices but our group of four all went with the specials for entrees and were not disappointed. However, first the starters. We all split a fantastic burrata salad with some of the best grilled bread I've ever had. Rarely does a couple of slices of bread make the difference but this was exceptional. The Tuna Tartare was very good as well- very fresh and well seasoned. The entrees were exceptional. A hyper-fresh thick slab of halibut was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a very delicate burre blanc with just a hint of lemon. Could have licked the plate. The lamb "steak" (was cut from the leg) was spot on- perfectly cooked to medium, well seasoned and again, very local and very fresh. Combine all this with a very reasonable wine list and attentive service (she seemed to have a bit too many tables our night) and you've got a winner here.

Yelp
Wonderfully consistent food, service and ambiance. After more than thirty meals here, no matter what, the food has been consistently beautiful, well prepared and high quality for the price point. I ALWAYS enjoy the front server, too. I truly enjoy the meal every time. Two critiques: 1) The food delivery is usually by a young person who is not as well versed in the niceties of the restaurant, 2) Stapleton's needs to hang new art; boring to see the same display in the same place for over a year. Thank you for being so good!
