I train at several gyms around the Las Vegas Valley, including Dragon’s Lair, Torture Gym, and Strength Culture, so I’m very familiar with how well-run gyms operate. EOS Fitness on Blue Diamond is unfortunately the opposite.
This is the closest gym to my home, which is the only reason I signed up. I was injured on duty as a law enforcement officer and was unable to train for an extended period of time. At the time, the previous manager assured me my fees would be waived until I was able to resume training.
That never happened.
I have now been dealing with this membership and billing issue for over a year. The fees have continued to accumulate to an astronomical amount, despite the prior agreement and despite the fact that I have not been able to consistently use the facility.
Due to my work schedule, I’m typically only able to come in late at night or early morning, and there is never a manager on site when I’m there. Because of that, it has been nearly impossible to resolve this issue in person. Calls and attempts to handle this have gone nowhere, and I’ve essentially been stuck in limbo.
What’s most frustrating is that this situation could have been handled easily with basic communication and accountability. Instead, it’s been dragged out unnecessarily, leaving me paying for a gym I haven’t been able to use.
If you value transparency, accessible management, and fair treatment, especially if you work unconventional hours, I would think twice before signing up at this location.
