The food was phenomenal. I absolutely loved it and it was cooked to perfection. Chicken was tender and flavorful and the arepa was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The taquenos were also cooked to perfection and just the right temperature. However, that is the ONLY saving grace. The service was terrible and the server was super shady. We asked for water and he brought us sams club bottled water. I mention this because sams club charges 25 cents for their water bottles. This restaurant charged 2 dollars per bottle. We didn't ask for bottled water. We expected cups of water free of charge. When we asked why he's charging us for water, he said that he could have brought us the free cups of water, but he decided to bring us the upcharged bottles out of "respect" to us. The menu also doesn't have prices. They wouldn't tell us what the costs were up front. They kept saying we had to order and then they would tell us how much everything costs. I've never heard of a restaurant doing that. When it came time to pay, the QR code to pay didn't work. The server had to pull out his own phone and charge us with apple pay just to get the payment. I recommend take out and not bothering with dining in

I’ve been here a few times and each time has been an excellent experience. The food is always amazing and they honestly have the best arepas in town. The staff are always kinds, courteous and helpful. I spoke to the owner one Sunday afternoon after he recovered a video of their special stew that they only serve on Sundays. I commented that it look great and similar to a stew we have in Panama. The owner offered me a sample of the stew free of charge and it tasted amazing.

Google
One of the best places in Georgia for Venezuelan food. Deliciosos. The atmosphere is great. You need to give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed

Lizz G.

Google
I highly recommend their food! They need better signs to show where the entrance is since we still accidentally walked into the wrong door and was approached hostilely by the owner. Customers shouldnt be approached like that. We still purchased from their business since we just assumed he was not having a good morning. Do better please, many people coming from church do not need to hear profanity in the morning. Occurrence: Sunday, 11/20/2023, 11:20 AM. @Duluth location.

Juan and Franklin were very welcoming and the Arepa Reina was fantastic. For sure recommend!

Google
So delicious. There was only one waitress the day we visited but she was so helpful and friendly! Any questions that I had about the food she was more than happy to explain. They also let us know that for our convenience they're serving in the back side of the restaurant because that's where the AC feels more pleasant, how thoughtful. We were told they have live music on the weekends so we'll have to go back soon!

stacy

Google
great food! the food did take a while but that’s because everything is made from scratch and it’s made fresh to order so have patience. just be wary of the the main entrance being in the back of the building

Whitney M.

Google
Just ate here and it was delicious, some of the best Venezuelan food I’ve tasted before! The empanadas were fluffy, warm, and fresh. The tequeños were also very tasty and full of flavor. The staff member was very friendly and patient. Perfect food and customer service, will definitely be back!👌

Yelp
‼Location has changed‼ Now at 3095 Peachtree Ind Blvd Suite 120, Duluth GA 30097. -Only a few miles down P.I.B. from original location. This family restaurant has always hit close to home (vzlan immigrant 2010), as one of the first Venezuelan Restaurants in Duluth (if not the first!). It was honestly heartbreaking driving my the OLD location (2870 PIB) for almost a year hoping they'd return... and they're back!!! Mi gente Venezolana--- EPA is back with Stephanie Viloria as the Head Chef after receiving professional status & training in Spain. Bringing the new 'Haute Cuisine' add-on to its original name. 100 Sanitation score! Smaller than original location but the rebranding and nee curated space reflects elevated quality of food, service, and overall ambiance. Clean + equipped restrooms (for women). Excited to see how the music area is utilized during events! I apologize I did not take photos of actual food as we ate as soon as we were served, but I have attached some photos of the new menu, space, & the family behind the magic. All photos taken by me except for screenshots of their Instagram page!

Yelp
The best Venezuelan empanadas ever !!!! I tried the "carne mechada" and "mariscos" empanadas. Delicious!!!! Excellent customer service and the restaurant ambience was detailed clean very nice.

Yelp
A decent arepa place. It was empty when we visited but the food still came out fresh and tasty. Friendly service! Only complaint is, it would have been nice if they had any sauce to go with togo orders. Overall a good place to grab Arepa.
google avatar

Yelp
Arepas...... pastelitos... tequeños.... cachapas... mandocas.... This should be enough to tell you to stop by and give EPA a try. Friendly service and good Venezuelan food that won't hit the pockets too deep like other Venezuelan spots. I highly suggest you order a CHICHA drink while you're in... just trust me. Their space inside is a bit on the small side but you typically have a table to sit at. Service is great and friendly and will help you decide on food if you're not familiar. Love Epa and the energy the owner brings!!! Check them out!!

Yelp
Amazing Venezuelan food, fast service and great pricing, this is a must try from Duluth area. Latin ambience restaurant

Yelp
Came in for Arepas con queso the other day and they were amazing! The restaurant was pretty small and not crowded. There is some seating but it's not formal dining or anything. I didn't have to wait long and they made them and had them ready to go within 10 minutes. They were so much bigger than I was expecting and very filling. I would only order 1 next time! I could smell them in my car the whole way home and couldn't wait to try them and they definitely were even better than I expected. The photo was taken in my car but by the time I got home the cheese had melted and they were perfect! I really have nothing negative to say. The staff was very friendly and it was overall a great experience. 10/10 recommend :)

Yelp
We saw cachapas on FoodTV one day and thought, we have to find those in Atlanta! We drove all the way from Midtown to visit Epa! since there really aren't any options in town and boy are we glad that we did. The food was *amazing* to say the least. The pastry covered cheese sticks alone are worth the drive. So delicious. Turns out our server was the owner's son and he could not have been nicer and explained all the menu options to us and gave us some excellent suggestions. The place is a cute space behind the mini mall. Looks like they have a small outdoor patio as well which will be nice when the weather gets warmer. During the weekends they have live music. We can not wait to go back.

Yelp
Cheap Arepas, and I think depending on what you get it could be very fulfilling. Some of them aren't as fulfilling though. Epa! Come Arepa is a very small take out shop and if you ordered ahead of time it's a quick in and out type of ordeal. The choices of the arepa should probably guide you to your decision. For me I wanted to try a little bit of everything. But the arepas that stood out for me was the ones filled with meat. I would say if you want to plain it out with some cheese, go for it, but for me it was a little too bland. The chorizo was the best, as it was flavorful and satisfying. The others that I tried were alright, but they would need a sauce to make it more flavorful I think. Just eating it by itself wouldn't cut it for me. Overall, this place is definitely a place to try out. I would pick the arepas that sound the most exciting, and go from there! I would maybe come back here, but I would eat the Arepas fresh as take out it wasn't as hot as I would have wanted them. If you do take it out I would definitely recommend to reheat before eating.

Yelp
3.5 out of 5 Venezuelan food is probably not for me. It's too plain and salty. I've had it before and even though I did enjoy it. It's not my favorite. I don't think I could eat it again. Ever. This is a cute Venezuelan place. Service is great. Just not loving the food. I wish I could rate this place 3.5 and I couldn't rate it a 4 cause I'm not a fan of it. My coworker and I came by and we both thought the food was too salty and both got areapas. I got black beans and cheese while she got chicken avocado. I feel the arepas would've tasted better with spice, onions, and cilantro added. I wanted the whole Venezuelan feel. We even ordered desserts - flan and a cream dessert. I also got the apple juice. The fan was a bit dense and not that great. I've had better. The cream dessert was very plain and not my favorite. The apple juice is prob the best I got from the meal but it was not fresh. Oh yeah, also got a cheese empanada too, it was fried and not that good. It's worth a visit you wanna try Venezuelan food but if you want more flavors, this isn't it for you. 62/2021

Yelp
My husband and i tried this location for lunch one day. We were in the mood for some venezuelan food. The staff was friendly, and assisted us with a few options to try. We started off with some very yummy cheese sticks (i am sorry, i do not recall the official name for it). Amazing! From there, we sampled a few empanadas (beef, potato, etc). They were all very good. My husband had a beef arepa. He said it was pretty good. I also had a cachapa - it was just ok in my opinion (way too much cheese on top). May try this place again if in the area.

Yelp
I somehow came across this very new Arepa restaurant on Yelp. I bookmarked it, and told myself that I have to try it asap. They are located on PIB right next to Duluth Package Store. I came on a Friday afternoon around 3pm. Lunch rush was definitely over because no one was in line to order food. I got the #7 which was the carne asada arepa and came topped with avocados, pico de gallo and some sauce. It was really good!! There were hugeee chunks of carne asada, and although it was slightly on the dry side, the flavor was definitely there. I'm an arepa newbie, so not sure how they rated amongst other arepas, but they were good to me! They were out of some items that I wanted to try because they had just finished a lunch rush. Bummer. My sister is vegetarian, and they happy removed the meat off of the arepa for her. They cook everything to order, so be prepared to wait. I think we waited around 15 minutes. I suggest calling in the order beforehand if you're on a time crunch. My only issue is there was no AC inside. I was dyinggggg and so glad I opted to get take-out instead of dining in. I wouldn't have survived haha. I'll definitely be back when I'm craving arepas!

Yelp
Looked like your typical small / hole in the wall culture food. But yikes I was wrong. The food was fantastic and FILLING! I need to learn how to stop eating next time I come see them. The bathrooms were very clean and so were the folks attending in the main service area, no issues there. A tad small for sitting - however, they also have a better and bigger area (just walk/drive around the building) with Music and a totally different ambiance, very good vibes! They had live music that night, and it was packed and fun. No alcohol, but the food and drinks made up for that. Take a chance ask for "Cachapas" or "Arepas
google avatar

Minna C.

Yelp
We loved this fantastic hole in the wall. We went in for brunch and ordered tequeños, arepa de pabellon, and arepa con jam on ya queso paisa. Came out fresh and hot. The cheese sticks were perfectly fried, soft shells with a slight dusting of flour that complemented well with the cheese. I love arepas, so it was nice to try some authentic tasting Venezuelan arepas! My old roommate and her mom who came to town made some delicious homemade Venezuelan cuisine. I highly recommend this place!!
google avatar

Fernando M.

Yelp
EPA come arepa was pretty good. The food was fresh and comes out pretty fast . I think it's a lil pricy for the size you get and no side or drink.
google avatar

Shelly L.

Yelp
This is a little GEM hidden in Duluth, I highly recommend coming here if you haven't given it a try. Their Arepas, Empanadas, their soup. It is all so rich in flavor and so delicious. Every bite is made with love and effort. It is amazing how great their food is for its price. The ingredients taste like quality. And I'm in love with it. It's my second time coming back in the span of 3 days.
google avatar

Marisol E.

Yelp
This is the BEST Venezuelan street food you will find in the greater Atlanta area. Definitely worth every penny. We ordered beef and cheese patties to start and in the end ordered more because they were so good. We also tried the brisket arepa with cheese and it was full of flavor. My favorite drink is the brown sugar lemonade the have, a MUST try. The service was excellent, the place was clean and decor was cute. I will definitely visit again.

Marian M.

Yelp
This is a Venezuelan restaurant where you can eat arepas which are more fulfilling, taste better and cost less than a hamburger. The people over the counter were nice. The restaurant is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays which is a great option for late eating if you are in the area. It would be great place for breakfast and from Monday to Friday they offer Lunch Specials.
google avatar

Fidaa M.

Yelp
We got the beef arepas! They were amazing. 100% would recommend this place. The food was filling, the staff was friendly, and the place is very nice and clean. If you are in the area you should definitely stop by!!!!

Kinda J.

Yelp
Venezuelan food is the best, good service and friendly staff, the chupe they serve on Sundays is the best
google avatar

Krystal D.

Yelp
Yes. If you are ever in North Atlanta and feel like having some authentic Venezuelan food then you have to put this place on your list! If authentic isn't your thing, you may not enjoy this place but I was craving it...so...I got it! (NOTE: 4 stars for service/the apps). I called in my to-go order and immediately the woman asked if I spoke Spanish (in Spanish) and I know enough to get by, but opted for English. Please note they only have one employee who speaks English and is not fluent (so be kind) :)) . When she got on the phone I ordered a beef empanada, steak and cheese arepa, and order of tequenos (delicious fried bread dough wrapped around thick salty mozzarella). Everything was ready in 15 minutes and was piping hot. There was plenty of parking as this place is located at the end of a small shopping center. There were people eating inside of the small space and you wait in line to place your order which they will bring to you if you are dining in. The empanadas are on the smaller side but the price is reflective of that. The tequenos come about 4 to an order and are average in size. In my opinion these items are stellar and I would return for these two menu selections alone. I obviously came to try the arepas....but sadly I didn't care for them (and I've had some great arepas). Sadly the steak was overdone, lacked flavor, and was chewy. Now, be warned the arepas are HUGE as in, I literally had half of one per day. So this order lasted me 3 days (the first day belonged to the tequenos and empanda)!!! All in all I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are on a budget as almost all of the items are under $5. And again, please do yourself a solid and try the empanadas and tequenos. Maybe the other arepa options are better but I think I'll just stick to a craving for the former items.

Yelp
Pretty Good Arepas. A nice and clean restaurant. The workers are nice it has a nice and chill environment. It's a great place to grab lunch in between classes or work. I would recommend.

Jeff S.

Yelp
EXCELLENT Arepas. I get the beef with gouda cheese on the crispy arepa. Fantastic sandwich. Friendly staff.
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
My wife's family is Venezuelan. They always get excited about visiting Epa. You have to try their Cachapas. The sweet corn, cheese, and ham ones are my favorite. My wife loves the cheese only ones.
google avatar

Lawrence W.

Yelp
Walked in after golfing across the street and felt I was transported into a Venezuelan shop far from Duluth. All customers seemed to be Venezuelan and speaking Spanish. The menu was a bit hard to read as limited English and the digital menu at the counter kept rotating. So I asked the nice girl for recommendations and she suggested a black bean arepa, good choice. It was #5 on the digital menu. It's self serve ordering but the girl was nice and welcoming. My dad had a chorizo with light green sauce which he enjoyed. Especially liked the crispy yet soft bread and the friend potatoes with cheese at the top of the sandwich.
google avatar

Lynda D.

Yelp
The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Some of the employees don't speak much English, and the health rating is only 88, but the atmosphere is great. The dining area had always been clean when I've visited, and it is usually a hopping place in the evening. I highly suggest the #4!
google avatar

Peter R.

Yelp
Great lunch! We came for a late lunch with a large group of people and made ourselves at home. The place is small, it only has a few tables, but the food comes out pretty fast and it's all hand held food so no dishwashing or mess. We tried just about everything and enjoyed it all. The chicken empanadas were excellent and the arepa special was fantastic. This is definitely a place to check out!
google avatar

Lissette M.

Yelp
The service was great but unfortunately when we saw it was ranked 88 by the health department which is below the standard .

Marcy L.

Yelp
We got take-out from here tonight and it was awesome. The flavors were good without being strong and way everything was put together was perfect. I had not expected the sandwich with the plantains as bread to be so good, but somehow it just worked really well. The corn cake was also a surprise. The cake itself was sweet and fresh tasting. The inner cheese was just the right combo of slightly salty and stretchy. Reminded me of a thicker, hand pulled mozzarella. The outer cheese was probably crisper when it was first done, but it survived the ride home and me munching my way thru the plantain sandwich before i tried it and it was still a great consistency. The empanadas were a real treat. Crispy outside, pillowy soft inside. The spices were flavorful but no heat. We will be going here again and soon.
google avatar

Micah N.

Yelp
Stopped by to give this place a shot and loved it. The number 8 "Marachua" was delicious and extremely flavorful. I recommend getting it with the pernil (pork). Juicy and the texture is something special with the cheese they put inside. Also make sure to grab a mini empanada for 99 cents! I had the seasoned ground beef one and wish I had a few more!
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
I was craving empanadas and found this amazing cafe. We shared the steak arepa and sausage arepa, the flavors were amazing. Highly recommend this place.

Daniel D.

Yelp
We love Venezuelan food so we look forward to eating there. Placed a to go order and left. When we got home we were missing one item. Oh, well, it happens. We ate and enjoyed about half of the items we had... Until the next day, when four out of five of us spent a lot of time in the bathroom. The four of us ate fried food. The fifth did not and was fine.
google avatar

Alby B.

Yelp
I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for one arepa and they told me it will take 25 mins but they got orders that came after me faster. Very disappointed and also they were mean about it when I told them my situation.
google avatar

Bob G.

Yelp
I've been several times since they opened... the food is always excellent! My favorites so far are the Roast Pork Arepa and the Chicken Empanada. Everything is made to order so plan on waiting 10-20 minutes for your food depending on how busy they are when you arrive. It's definitely worth the wait!

Danielle C.

Yelp
EPA! Come Arepa is a small restaurant that fills up fast at lunch time, but the food is so great. I tried the #1 cheese arepa, it was fresh and filled with cheese. I also tried the mandoca and it comes with a side of cheese sauce. Loved it!
google avatar

Cristian C.

Yelp
I came to this place for first time and I'm already impressed with the great food , price and friendly service . The sandwich was fantastic and you feels like at home . Come and see it for yourself . Highly recommended!!
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Great place! Super friendly and happy to answer any questions about the menu, I got an Arepa and it was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Really great food and great prices. They were really accommodating with my large catering order and the food was delicious. The plantains and yucca balls really stood out!
google avatar

Gloria S.

Yelp
One Saturday afternoon I googled places to eat when driving to Gwinnett and Epa came up. I love Arepas so decided to try it. This place is DElish. I had the pork and hubby had the chicken arepas. Both were good. Meat seasoned well and cooked to order. You must have the empanadas! We had chicken and beef and it was sooo GOOD. The prices are affordable, the service was great. Go try it!!

Fred G.

Yelp
Wow! This place is great! The food is authentic and takes me back to Venezuela. It's a shame so many Americans aren't familiar with Venezuelan food because they don't know what they are missing. I got a couple of arepas and some chicha. Both arepas were great but the reina pepiada was outstanding. The chicha was delicious as well. The back area where most of the seating is seemed like a lot of fun and made me want to go back on a weekend night. The people that work there are VERY friendly and generous. You can tell the food is made with love and the owners make you feel welcome. I only wish it was closer to where I live so I could go more often but it's definitely worth the trip from wherever you are. I can't wait to go back.

Waldo R.

Yelp
Excellent ambiance. Better the food. One of the best Cachapas of the city. Will try more plates later.

Tori Y.

Yelp
Great tasting arepas, empanadas, and pastelitos! The decor and artwork around the restaurant are beautiful, creating a nice eating environment. Very clean space and very sweet staff. I will definitely be back!

L C.

Yelp
This is my favorite place! Breakfast lunch or dinner everything I've tried is delicious. Their lunch special changes daily and it's nice to know I can eat a balanced meal for $7.99. The service is incredible also. Come check them out!!!
