11/6/2024 Hello! I went here because I wanted some burgers. Let’s start. The food. I got the double epic burger which was super tasty. I would also recommend the chocolate shake. The service. Our cashier was really kind and she was patient when I was deciding. The food came fast and hot. The atmosphere. I would highly recommend going on the second floor to eat. It has a nice view, lots of space, really good overall. For the first floor it’s alright, not the worst but not the greatest. Overall I would highly suggest eating here if you have no other options. Great food, kind servers, and nice atmosphere view. 5 stars! Thanks epic burger!

I ordered an epic burger with fries and as soon as I was about to take a bite out of my burger I noticed that the bun was very soggy. I look down and found out that there was mold. This is not sanitary and I could’ve easily gotten sick. Couldn’t eat my food and lost my appetite. I usually love ordering from Epic Burger but this was truly a bad experience.

Great burgers and shakes. Love sweet potato fries. Eating cowboy burger drinking Nutella shake. Have frequent diner program and happy hour specials $1 off each item.

In town visiting. Wanted to try a new burger place. It was horrible, but I wouldn't recommend. The chicken sandwiches were cooked so hard. The burgers were tasteless (no favor). Positive the restaurant was clean and the staff was pleasant.

Not family friendly , not accommodating, very rude even thou they messed up our order.they just showed the egg into my husband face and left not turning back and not caring. Not saying they lied about the grilled onions, some orders had onions, and for the other they did not bother to give even the raw one

Can’t lie I love it here! Stumbled across this place as I was in search of a fresh turkey burger! Not a lot of places offer them and the whole wheat bun set it off for my healthier lifestyle! The staff is always amazing and it is always super tidy! They also have a vegan option which is super dope! Can’t wait to return!

Tried the location at Lake Bluff yesterday. I got the double classic burger with fries. The meat was fresh and tasty without being salty. The fries was crispy and also fresh. Definitely will go back.

It was just okay. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either. The fries were salty for my taste. The burgers were mid. The shakes were basic but done right. The employees were kind and the place was clean.

This place needs to some serious help in both the customer service department and the food tasting department. I walked in here at 8:20 (knowing that they close at 9) to order food with some friends and the guy behind the counter was extremely rude & had an attitude type of tone. It turned off one of my friends from ordering so she ended up walking out because of the way he was talking to us. I just wanted to eat so I ordered a burger and fries. It was very subpar go say the least. Definitely will not return here if in the area.

Burger was nice and the portion was enough for me. Sweet fries were good The Nutella shake was ok Staff were all helpful and nice despite the restaurant being busy.

I got the Classic Epic Butger. This burger consists of a Single Creekstone (halal) Farms Black Angus beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onion, and Epic sauce, served on a toasted brioche bun! It was pretty good, and the relatively cheap price didn't hurt. It's not going to be the best burger ever but if you go in with low expectations it'll be just fine. Lots of seating and they're also open relatively late for the loop which is nice. They have some amazing prices during their happy hour on Mon-Fridavs which make it a great alternative to Mcds. I especially enjoy their milkshakes, would definitely recommend picking up one too. They have multiple locations so check them out!

Epic burger review We visited Epic Burger's downtown location. If one doesn't have a car, the suggestion is to take CTA-Red line Harrison exit stop. I had to double check our order of added onions on the turkey burger and no onions/added avocado on the regular burger. I took the burgers back to the counter to get my order corrected. I was glad I stayed at the counter and watched the worker correct this because I was not pleased that she used the same glove and touched the onion and the avocado. The overall place was large and clean. One needs a key to the bathroom, which I appreciate. The burgers are good. With the correction to our meal, it took longer to eat. Next time, I'll order a double burger. However, I'll go to another Epic Burger location.

Gosh, I hate this place. I forgot what my last experience was like years ago before the Pandemic at other Epic Burger location, and this is even worse. The food is expensive and lackluster, takes forever to both order and receive, and the restaurant stinks like grease.

I had a surprisingly bad experience here on Saturday for lunch. My bread was super hard. The food wasn't good.

The burgers here were not as Epic as I had hoped. Still a decent burger, fries, and malt shop in the Chicago land area. The location was convenient and even with all of the Swifties in town the service was pretty quick. I love the neon signs and murals as decor with the play on words and punny sayings! I just wish I loved the food a bit more. A decent counter service burger joint if you don't have much time to spare

Was in line at 8:20, they close at 9pm. Guy yelled at us saying to hurry up and order because they close soon. Then I ordered a shake right away and he turned around and yelled "NO SHAKES JUST FOOD". So I just walked away. Don't understand the rude confrontation. Then they decided to take a group's order that came in 10 minutes later with no issue. Plus more people after that.

I've been hearing about this place for years and finally tried it while I was at a conference near by and wanted a quick lunch. I got the build your own burger with some added topics and the Parmesan fries. The fries were SO GOOD. The burger was good as well, nothing out of the ordinary but overall a solid burger. Service was average - I had ordered jalapeños as an extra topping on my burger and they forgot them. The girl taking our order wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to be paying attention so they mistake wasn't surprising. Would recommend for the food but maintain expectations for service. The place has chill vibes, it's clean and simple.

This has to be one of the most poorly managed establishments I've been to. I came in on a Sunday around noon. I ordered the cowboy burger, and then the garlic parm fries, but I was told that they were out of the garlic parm fries. Then I ordered a chocolate shake, and I was told they were out of milk. Then I asked about a fountain drink, and I was told that their machine isn't working. At that point, I just said never mind, I won't be eating there. I left and will probably never go back.

I tried a burger at the Chicago burgerfest. The burger was alright compared to the other burgers I had. The condiments and toppings stood out over the beef patty. The caramelized onions was a nice touch. The quality of the pattty did not seem as great. There was some good flavors working together to make a decent burger. Difficult to make an accurate review because you can probably get a better burger with more selections at the actual location.

Love the food here! Halal food is always a good find in Chicago and this burger is great! Service and ambiance also good. Would definitely recommend everyone to try it out

I don't know why this place gets all the hate. Every time I come in here, the service is great and the food is made fresh. Their hot chicken, grilled chicken, and Turkey Burger are all equally good. There's almost half an avocado on the chicken sandwich. The shakes are also really good and the whipped cream is real cream that's not too sweet. It never takes more than 5-10 minutes to get my food and it's made to order.

The honey hot chicken sandwich I ordered from here on door dash came literally burnt to a crisp. It was actually unbelievable. I cannot believe that someone assembled this sandwich with confidence that this is acceptable to serve to someone. I will attach a picture.

I used to like Epic Burger but after the experience yesterday at the Epic Burger at Sheffield and North Avenue, I don't plan on going back. The beef patty was tasteless and burnt and the chocolate shake didn't arrive until I asked a few times and I was almost done eating. The restaurant wasn't even crowded.

Yo this place FALSE ADVERTISE. the picture shows real burger patty's. The crap you get serviced is not even a real patty I was so shocked and upset bc I was hangry and I thought I was getting an actual burger not a dissolved burger patty. They also got my whole order wrong sadly and it was wayyyyyy too greasy. I know way better quality places for the price they had.

just a place that overly charges for nonsense. burger over cooked one size drink so small I had to buy another drink on the way home. fries look so good in the pictures when you get them so bad I threw them out at the gas station to grab an extra drink from since the one before was a Dixie cup. never will I ever stop in again.

First timer! We actually came into town for the Chicago taste fest, ventured off and found ourselves here! The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed but they were helpful & patient. Great place to go for a good burger and fries! They have 3 bun options, choose your protein (turkey burger, veggie burger, chicken breast, beef, etc.) and add all your fixings. Avocado and bacon are extra. Regular fries were great but they also offer sweet potato fries. I believe they have Milk shakes too. The soda machine was kicking out colored carbonated water, but I'm sure they needed to do whatever one does to make it start tasting like pop again. I would recommend this spot.

Very disappointed. Definitely not worth the price. Still hungry after my farmhouse burger...twelve bucks and it had one piece of bacon on it. My boyfriend ordered a double and got his burger with one patty, but of course was charged for the double. You'd honestly be better off taking ur money elsewhere. Pretty much just an overpriced whatever tasting burger. NOT worth it.

I always stop in there everytime I work in the area, on my last visit i walk up to the counter and was about to order and the person at the counter pointed his finger at me and And said just one minute then took phone call. When it was time to take my order he didnt ask me what I wanted on my burger gave my receipt and walk off, as i was waiting on my food he was talking to the workers a harshly in my opinion and i can tell by theif faces they didnt like it. I wasn't happy with my service at all.

Hamburger good and juicy but fries have changed and not as good as originally. Possibly frozen now. Beef Burger

Okay, I must admit I came here for their 10th anniversary special and the .10 cent burgers. My bill should have been $12.58 plus tax for 2 Epic Cheeseburgers, but, my total was only.22 cents including tax. We got our two Epic Cheeseburgers to go, and I did not find the cheeseburgers to be greasy at all. Perhaps, because they had a chance to sit and relax. I love that their buns are baked daily, the beef is all natural, halal-certified Creekstone Farms premium black angus. Our cheeseburgers were tasty and had a great smoky flavour. Really filling and I especially like the tangy epic sauce. A single pattie burger is $6.29 and a double pattie burger is $7.79, comparable to similar burger restaurants. We came in very late, twenty minutes before closing time. The employee behind the counter was surprisingly friendly and cheerful after a long day of people coming in and out for their 10th anniversary. The service was very fast considering it was the end of the day. As someone else commented, I found the floor in the dining area to be a little too slippery. Is it because the grease gets on the floor or they clean it too often and leave soap on the floor. The thing that I found really weird, is that they do not take cash, they only accept plastic. For a fast, filling meal, head into Epic Burger.

When I say this, I say this with love, my god was that a greasy burger. Not really a compliment, but really not a complaint either. Our first day here and we were in need of some food once we were settled in at our hotel. We did a quick search of the area and decided we wanted to try some burgers and happened upon this place. I like the setup of this place, order your food at the counter, take a number and have a seat. Also, it's a simple menu, nothing fancy here, and I kind of expected that from a burger joint. I had myself a simple cheeseburger, which is referred to here as an epic burger. I had the basic toppings: lettuce, onions, pickles and their "epic sauce." The sauce had basically a tangy kick to it. I also go myself an order of fries and bottled water. I give them props because this is all freshly made. Even the bun is toasted before everything is added. But as I had said, it was greasy. The plate it came in had a nice puddle of grease on it and I went through about a tree's worth of napkins. The fries were amazing and they had organic ketchup which meant I could actually enjoy some. As for the price, it's a bit steep for a burger and fries. Speaking of price, they do not accept cash, so bring your cards.

Epic was so good I ate here two days in a row. Ordering is quick, with the handy guide at the register. I grabbed my number and plopped down at the table. It felt like a matter of moments and the friendly team was sliding my order onto my table. The appearance of the food was beautiful. The smells immediately hit my nose with a wave of joy. I spun the burger around to reveal two beautifully cookies patties topped with avocado, lettuce, and havarti cheese. The burger was juicy and delicious. Make sure to grab extra napkins before you start. This thing tasted so good I didn't set it down. I ate the whole thing before moving on to the perfectly cooked and seasoned skin on fries. As a walked out my belly was full of a great burger. I had to come back the next day to try the same burger with bacon. I highly recommend that combo. It was so delicious.

Ok, someone has to have the worst burgers in Chicago. And someone has to have the worst service in Chicago. So I guess it's good to have both in the same place. First off, I ordered and they said they would bring it out. 10 minutes later I went to check, and they had it sitting up there waiting for GrubHub. Then I had to remind them that I ordered a milk shake too. Got the burger and the fact that it was luke warm because of the delay didn't matter, because it was bad. Basically overcooked shoe leather. The milk shake was decent. Not great but better than DQ.

As a Loyola student, I love Epic Burger. It is right across the street from my campus and is my go to lunch spot. The service is always great and I have never had a bad experience with my good. Their burgers are one of the best I have ever had, and there shakes are second to none.

What exactly makes this place "epic"? It's not the food. That's just meh. Must be the price. Yeah, that's epic for a basic hamburger that I can get for half the price at Steak and Shake. They don't even have grilled chicken sandwich option or Impossible- just the Beyond, which is also not at all epic. Went there years ago and was excited about the Epic. No. Went there today because my husband wanted it, and again, meh.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place, mostly because of the service. I got the beyond burger with grilled onion and avocado, and a side of sweet potato. The taste good, the typical great taste with the beyond meat and the components of the burger were also fresh and balance. The sweet potato was okay. The server was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, very helpful and knew their menu very well and made the whole thing pleasant.

The food came out quick, and I don't know who was on the grill but he made my food with love

Came to hang out with some friends Friday night. Had a ball. Got a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onions comes with 2 pickles and tomatoes. Got my burger without epic sauce. Got fries. They were crisp and salted appropriately. I like the potatoes they use. Also got a Nutella shake. Nice and sweet.

Ordered a few burgers and fries. Tastes just like shake shack! Would love to come again.

The burger here is really good but be aware that not everything is halal! There are visible halal signs in the restaurant, so you would assume that everything is halal or would be stated otherwise, but I learned that wasn't the case. After I placed my order for the epic burger with bacon, I asked to confirm the halal status(which I usually do, especially if there's no signs present) and the cashier told me the bacon was not halal. Firstly, I wear full hijab so I'm visibly Muslim.... shouldn't the employees warn you that you're ordering something that's not halal, especially since they advertise that they do serve halal?! Plus, Chicago is an area that's super diverse, every one knows the basics of each other's religions. Second, why would there not be anything noted on the menu, saying this item is not halal? Or at least put a halal sign next to the items that are, so we can know! I was really upset with that. Imagine how many people haven't asked, because they have signs that say halal! I hope this review alerts management to reconsider how they advertise their halal items. Besides that, the Nutella shakes and the burger were good but way overpriced and everything you add to your burger, has an upcharge. I paid 33 bucks for one burger, 2 shakes, a bottled drink and fries.

I ordered a grassfed burger with cheese and bacon. The difference between grassfed and non grassfed was clearly $6 on the menu. When I went to pay they had charged me $10 extra. The manager came over, they made a change and offered me a decrease of $1. I thought this experience represented poorly both on the manager and Victor, my server.

I picked an excellent burger for "National Hamburger Day." The appropriately titled "Epic Burger" was delicious from the top half to the bottom half of the buttered brioche bun. The burger was one of the juiciest "well done" burgers I've ever had. The aged cheddar added a smoky component to the production, and the tangy epic sauce was the perfect finisher (the veggie garnishments were standard but still memorable). The fries were plain but crispy and flavorful -- there was no way they'd outshine the burger. The bar was set too high. I've found a new "quick burger" spot in the Loop, and I can't wait to go back.

Epic Burger not only met my needs but even superseded them. The selection of meats created a space for healthy and delicious choices. The sweet potato fries were divine when paired with their epic sauce. You could feel the expertise of the master behind the grill in each bite of your Epic Burger. Would I suggest this place to anyone? Absolutely, and I'd do it without a single question.

Delicious burgers & fries. It was juicy and fresh, plus the toppings were fresh. The service was fine. Everything was ready pretty quickly. I wish the fountain soda would've included diet coke. The dining area was clean, and just fine!

We went to Epic for a quick evening meal and we were delighted. Their veggie burger option was perfect. The food was served quick as well. For the buns, you have an option of white or wheat and the sides can be either fries, salad or veggies. The bun was toasted perfectly and the veggie patty was cooked well with cheese on top. The condiments on the side were a delight and the entire burger was a good wholesome meal. I also had the lemonade to go along and it complimented the meal well. They have pre-made cookies that can be a fitting dessert. I will visit Epic when I visit Chicago again.

Halal burger chain all over Chicago- we couldn't resist. However for a place called "Epic" burger, I really thought there would be some unique options to top your burger with but other than the egg option, there wasn't much. Place was spacious and the food came out quick so that was a plus. The burgers seemed quite pricey especially when you add on items which were about $1 each.

Way overpriced. They no longer have homemade french fries. Fries served were frozen fries that any fast food place would have. Bun was also a bit stale.

Epic Disappointment! The restaurant's name and "pub burger" reference had me expecting so much more. Although the burgers did look pub-like, the meat was dry, unseasoned and full of gristle (tiny white remnants of connective tissue like ligaments) in every bite. It's not typically found in quality burgers. I didn't realize this is just another fast food burger... probably because of the branding and its $10 price for a double. No, thanks... never again!

Ordered takeout and spent $40 on 3 sorry looking burgers & cold sweet potato fries (wrong sauce given for that too). They left off grilled onions on one burger, the condiments are ridiculously small, and they were so stingy with the sauce. Not worth it. & I won't be ordering from this location again.

Look. If you have a name like Epic Burger you need to be able to deliver! My burger was OK, but definitely not epic. I ordered a s'mores shake and it tasted like a vanilla Shake with Hershey syrup for a whopping $7! I spent $20 just on myself. This place is cashless which I actually really like. It creates a safer work environment for their employees which i can respect.

Best Turkey Burger in Chicago PERIOD South Loop location is good. The turkey burger is juicy and delicious. Its a must for first time visitors. Near corner of State and Congress on State st across from CVS.

Lots of seating for a quick lunch. Kind of pricey but expected because of the non-go, organic, good stuff here. I went with an Epic Classic burger with bacon---no onions, no tomatoes. It was delicious. Epic sauce reminds me of the sauce from Cane's chicken. The wheat bun tasted fresh and the fries were fresh cut. I loved loved loved the fries. The ketchup at the tables are also GMO free! All natural ketchup! #winning Good for groups. Good for a solo lunch.

Epic Burger is a good alternative to McDonald's or Wendy's. I enjoy these burgers but they can be a tad greasy. They aren't as greasy as Five Guys though. really like the fries - sweet potato and the OG potatoes. I've tried a shake in the past and the lemon flavored one was really good. However, the restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly.
