Yelp
Super fun for kids and lots of activities!!!!! Arcade has great variety of games too.

Beverly M.

Yelp
NOT Epic Fun. Frustration and disappointments abound. Even kids I wasn't with were asking me for help. New owners. So many poor choices: ~ The best playscape in Austin... GONE. In its place: a sea of arcade games and many of them have issues. ~ And since pricing for the use of the arcade is timed, reading and explaining the instructions to kids is rush, rush, rush for oh so little to actually activate. ~ And the pricing strategy? What was once three hours of unlimited fun with access to everything, is now a Chinese menu and fistfuls of dollars for mini combos or singles featuring anything that is not an arcade game: bumper cars, laser tag, climbing walls, and so on. ~ The small bumper car ride arena is overcrowded. No room to play. It went from having four standard vehicles, to seven, including three huge adult-sized spinner bumper cars. ~ Now clearly catering to teens and adults. ~ Lots of areas where guests can trip and hurt themselves. See pic. Groupon is the only way to pay for this place. See photo... but that's only for the arcade games. Adding one star because the manager understood that we were unhappy and did his best to accommodate. He explained that Covid had forced the original owners to sell and the new owners (1 1/2 years into this) to reconfigure stuff. Recommendations to owners: + Provide a tutorial on scanning the game card at the entrance for young guests. + Price the arcade by game points, not by time. This way you won't frustrate gamers of all ages when they realize that a handful of the most popular games are off-limits. + Clearly label the point cost on the games - not in fine print. + Remove at least two of the bumper cars. Too crowded! + Remember that guests are here to play and be distracted (and you have a full bar) so be sure to safeguard the place from ridiculous tripping points and spare yourselves a few lawsuits. Good luck, new owners! Austin desperately needs indoor entertainment 9 months out of every year.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place during the week for my family. The kids got to play laser tag, do wall climbing, and do bumper cars. The bumper cars are fun and even have ones that do flips. There are prizes to be won by playing the arcade games. Food is basic but good enough. Plus a full bar for the parents

Med F.

Yelp
Great place for entertainment of youngsters and all ages. Many attractions. Place is clean and staff is friendly. A bit expensive. Nice bar with a variety of food options.

Yelp
Oh my God it was amazing here. I absolutely loved how this was a mixture of an arcade and an indoor playground. I would definitely recommend this to anyone between 5 to 11.

Mia A.

Yelp
Epic was an amazing experience for my friends and I! Greg was super welcoming and funny. I definitely recommend for anyone who wants to have a great time all day!!

Yelp
Yum. Great lobby. Fun cool place. Yummy.have been a repear customer for many years with on going tradition for birthday fun and so close to pluckers the two go hand in hand.

Mya N.

Yelp
came here to have some fun with my family for my daughters 7th birthday and had such a blast! this lovely employee I believe her name was piper was super kind told my daughter happy birthday and complimented her birthday dress and recommended us some of her favorite games to play! The bar had a great selection of drinks and tons of variety in play. We will definitely return for a night out with my family again!!

Corey H.

Yelp
Epic Fun crushes it. So much fun! Take your nephews and nieces !! My kids really enjoyed.

Laura F.

Yelp
Staff were super friendly and helpful. It was clean and food and drinks were on point. Plan to go again! Great prices.

Amy B.

Yelp
It's too small, I don't even know why they bothered to pit in bumper cars as the bumper car ring is far to small. Considered throwing a birthday party here but one look inside and we knew it was a no go.

Hudson B.

Yelp
Could be cleaner but I enjoyed my time there also if you are going to try and get tickets do the one E we're you through balls at the clowns I suggest that yoh do it with someone

Shara C.

Yelp
Under new management - new games, lots to love! We come often and hope the improvements continue.

Frank V.

Yelp
We brought a large group of special needs adults and could not have been better treat or made to feel more special. Amber and her team were all extremely gracious, warm, and welcoming. They made us feel like VIP's. Place was clean and the food was great. Did I mention Amber and her team were simply amazing!!!

Matt P.

Yelp
Wow...they might as well put DILLIGAF on the employee name tags. The service (more accurately, utter lack thereof) made me wonder if employment here is just a total revolving door situation.

Sarah G.

Yelp
Use to love it! Great place to go - especially in the middle of summer. But they have become very expensive and now have tiers of buying credits for arcade games. Not to mention they got rid of the play scape - a great place to take a break from the Vegas arcade vibe going on. So disappointed. Don't waste your time or your money!!

Courtney D.

Yelp
I wanted to go to a Main Event type place, but in south Austin so I am very happy to have found Epic Fun. The staff is super friendly. Good vibes. It's rare to find a place with all nice staff. From the front desk guy to bartender to gentleman manning the prize desk, everyone was very pleasant. The bathrooms were immaculate. The restaurant and bar was also very clean. The games were all new and really interesting. Definitely coming back!

Joni B.

Yelp
Fun place for kids! Full bar and restaurant. Really pricey for the food. And today the food was not worth the price. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich for 16.99. It was awful, drowned in cheese sauce and one tiny piece of grilled onion, nothing else on it. Came with a small portion of fries. I had had one months ago and it was delicious with lots of meat, onions and peppers. Will not order again. At 16.99 it should have been amazing! But it was disappointing and so much cheese sauce I couldn't finish it.

Yelp
The good news is that Epic Fun has reopened! This was a great place to take the kiddos before the pandemic, and was a sad story that they had to shut it down. We were excited to see that it reopened, but under new management, they have made some significant changes to their pricing and approach that would move this from a regular place to take the our family to a rare stop. It used to be about $30 for an all you can play pass that included Ballocity (more geared towards younger kids), Mini-Bowling, Lazer Tag, Bumper Cars, Rock Climbing, and the Sky Trail. You could do all of these as much as you wanted, and they have a full arcade for additional costs. The new pricing structure is more geared towards the arcade, giving you points to use there, with only limited use of the attractions where the top tier card is $70 (with $60 in arcade money) and only has 1-time use of a few of the attractions. We had fun, but the pricing here is not far off from the costs to go to Disneyland. On top of that, half of the attractions didn't have people working on it (including the bumper cars which is the main thing included in every package that they offer). I hope that they can find a way to package things differently. Most of the parents I've talked to didn't see a huge value in the Arcade, and were hoping for a better price point than $210 to take a small family for a couple of hours.

Yelp
This kiddie adventure Park is really clean and new, oxymoron I know. There's an arcade, free ball pit, lazertag, bumper cars, three rock wall climbing structures, Birthday room, and it's lots of fun for all kinds of ages. There's decent food, a bar, and even ax throwing. We went to the bbq place next door and liked that as well. It's been two weeks and my four year old has asked every day when she can go back. It seems as if it might get too crowded at some point, but when we went on a Friday night there were no waits and everything was easy. The pricing is broken out so you can choose a few adventures to make it cheaper, which was great. Like an a la carte activity menu instead of an all-access pass. Since my four year old won't be throwing axes, we didn't have to pay for that option. Just say no to Chuck E. Cheese and come out here. Jack Allen's is right across the road as well.

Jay M.

Yelp
Dirty. Overpriced. Outdated. What the hell is this place? And why does it have this rating? Just close down shop and stop having people come over to waste their money and their time. "Epic" fun.

Savannah G.

Yelp
Shout out to OSCAR who was working the prize concession stand. Went above and beyond for my child and treated him as a total individual despite seeing what's probably hundreds of kids a day. Great place in general, tons of unique activities like bumper cars, wall climbing, and even a full bar area (with great bartenders!). Good layout and doesn't feel like you're going crazy in there. We even stayed an hour after the birthday party!

Micah J.

Yelp
What a great experience and management team! Greg is an excellent manager! Thank you and your team for saving the day for my daughter's 7th birthday party!!  Due to the failures and incompetencies of Urban Air we had to frantically search for a space to have a birthday party at the very last minute.  I called and connected with Greg and explained our plight and was met with empathy and a willingness to help make it right for us. We understood that booking a birthday room on such short notice would not be an option but he was able to think outside the box and work out a solution for us and offer us a place to have her birthday party.  My daughter absolutely loved it! Her and her friends had an absolute blast and were totally wiped after bumper cars, wall climbing, laser tag, playscape shenanigans and the arcade fun!  The entire staff was excellent! Awesome beer selection and bar for the grown ups and the pizza was absolutely delicious! I wish it was closer so I could order pizza from them more often.  All in all, thank you Epic fun team for coming in clutch and saving the day. Greg, you are my hero! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Tammy H.

Yelp
Ok, I'm updating my rating...Huge improvement guys! $24.95 unlimited for bumper cars, climbing, gym, mini bowling, high ropes course, and laser tag! Now that's worth it! Nice job clarifying your pricing!! The arcade is wayyyyy to expensive but there is so much other stuff for the kids to do, I'm not going to complain. We bought $10 worth of arcade plus the $24.95 all-access pass. Then when I filled out birthday prize registration forms for both kids, got another $5 each. So $20 for arcade and she played 3 games! Now, granted the VR game was A-Mazing!!! But that's pretty expensive...either way, super happy about the simplified and reasonable all-access pricing! We came because my daughter's school had a back-to school bash (10% of receipts turned in go to school) so we decided to go. Otherwise, honestly, might not have tried it again. Definitely glad we came back. Oh, one more thing, I didn't buy an all-access pass for me (or any pass for that matter). When my 6 y/o daughter wanted to try blazer tag, they not only allowed me to go in with her and play--they encouraged it. Now that's the customer service that gets people to come back.

K H.

Yelp
My kids (age 2 and 5) love this place. The big hits are the ballocity play area, mini-bowling, and bumper cars. Pricing seems pretty fair. Food and drinks are good. Staff is friendly. All told, we were really sad to see this place close in 2020, and are so happy now that it's back.

Robert C.

Yelp
This is the best place to ever take the kids I highly recommend this place I been going for awhile left a review when they opened and it was 5 stars as well they closed down for a bit but are back up running and this place never fails thank you to the owners for making a place so perfect for our kids

Justin C.

Yelp
It's hard to believe it's been nearly a year since our first review of Epic Fun. We've been back probably a dozen times since then, and we highly recommend it. The reason for writing an updated review: The owners are constantly upgrading things, some small (spotless bathrooms), some big (laser tag, axe throwing and new video games). It's clear they're committed to making this a great family destination. Any time we've had an issue (which is rare), they've been quick to respond. As an example, the last time we were there, my 5 year-old son hit the jackpot on one of the wheel-of-fortune games along the back wall. He was elated! (I was, too!) But for some reason, the tickets didn't transfer to our game card. When I asked the attendants at the ticket counter about it, they asked me to check back in a few minutes in case of a delay. I did, but still no tickets. Without any attitude whatsoever, they promptly credited our card with the correct number of tickets. My son was bursting with happiness. That was a great moment, and I commend the management and staff for doing the right thing. One tiny issue (that's not worth docking an entire star) is that sometimes leftover plates, cups and trash are strewn about the tables and counters. I know it's hard to keep with all that, especially when things are busy. I will say that the last time we were there, they were actively tidying up once things calmed down. That small issue aside, I think Epic Fun is doing a great job. We'll be back soon.

Yelp
Great food cool games and great fun! The atmosphere is awesome. My nieces had a blast. Come join the fun!

Yelp
Took my 9 year old sister and 13 year old brother on a Sunday. We went to celebrate my sisters birthday. Upon walking in, my sisters eyes were glowing in wonder! We bought the basic adventure pass on Groupon. It included the Ballocity (indoor playground), Laser Tag and Bumper Cars. Well my brother decided that he didn't want to do any of the activities included. I asked the front desk cashier if I could have his wristband as my brother only wanted to bowl. We were only in there for a few minutes and hadn't done any activities yet. The cashier said it was no problem at all and gave me a new wristband and we took his off. I went on the bumper cars and played laser tag with my sister while my brother bowled with my dad. Me and my husband also did the Groupon package for axe throwing and gave the $20 game card to my siblings. The axe throwing was just okay, they need to replace the boards you throw the axe at as they were heavily indented. But, it was still fun throwing the axes. Definitely a good stress reliever! In the end, we all had fun and a great time! Everyone found something they liked and our age group ranged from 9 years old to 40 years old! We would definitely come back!

Jai A.

Yelp
I took my 8 and my now 2 other 8 year olds for the twins' birthday. They all had a blast!! We were going to go to Urban Air but we wanted to do something different and we're so glad we picked Epic Fun! They were not overly crowded. It seemed clean. The staff was very nice. Philip was great and very accommodating, I recommend that you ask for him. We got the bundle card where you get so many credits and you can use it on most if not all of the things that they have to do there. My girls definitely loved the bumper cars. They already said that they want to go back! Thanks Phil and Epic Fun for the great time!!

Paul D.

Yelp
Decide to check out this newly opened fun center. As I walked inside the staff let me roam around to check it out. It was like a D&B for little ones. Basically designed for kids below 12 year olds. They have many fun activities from climbing walls, video games, and bowling. Everything is new and fresh. There is even a restaurant to order food like pizza and plenty of seating. There are also private rooms for birthday parties. What like the most was the bowling alley where it used little bowling balls.

Whitney L.

Yelp
This place is so fun. I haven't done the axe throwing yet but I really want to. I love the game that you press all the buttons and play against someone. Unsure what it's called a to be a bit older and still be able to have fun here is awesome. Fun for the entire family!

Susan V.

Yelp
Lots of fun for a group of 8 year olds. Several things broken and some snags in our visit, but the staff was very friendly and did their best to make it right. Support these Small business owners who were present and trying to evaluate where improvement was needed and make things right.

Ben S.

Yelp
This place is a blast! Took my 10 year old son and some friends here and couldn't get them to leave they were having so much fun. I even jumped in and did the ropes course, climbing walls, and laser tag. The laser tag was a blast and way more fun to us than other local ones. Never had to really wait for much- the staff was on top of it and super friendly. Already talking about going back. Can't recommend enough!

Azalia F.

Yelp
Very nice staff. Fun games. As an adult you may think maybe you won't do much, but I ended up doing everything, except for bowling. The highlighting is the rock climbing, laser tag and walking the ropes. Ax throwing was ok. A bit scary and not ad east ad it looks.

Paisley D.

Yelp
My husband and I bought a Groupon for an hour of axe throwing and a $20 game card. We have three kids and don't get a date night often, but this worked out perfectly! We had so much fun, after about 300 tries I finally got the axe to stick in the wall! My husband is an undercover pro, apparently, as he perfected his throw in the first 5 minutes of us being there. The whole "system" was a little unorganized, there was no communication between the front desk to check in and the axe throwing section in the back, so we stood there awkwardly for a moment while the front desk attendant and the axe throwing attendant bickered, but we sat at the cafe and waited our turn, which didn't take long. The games were fun, we won a ton of tickets but didn't get a prize, decided to save it for when we take our kiddos. Ate at Pluckers next door afterwards and it was a nice end to our night.

Ashley A.

Yelp
Just had my child's birthday party here and it was phenomenal. Party host was so attentive- and the food was GREAT. Great bar as well. We can't wait to come back with the kids. 5 stars for sure! Very reasonably priced too!

Angel E.

Yelp
Ax Throwing !! This place is definitely more for kids with the games, rope course, rock wall and bumper cars all designed for kids but the ax throwing was great and the games were still fun me and my girlfriend had a blast ! Wasn't too expensive either. Service dog friendly but be aware the kids will sneak a pet

Steven R.

Yelp
My 10 year old son said it all when I overheard him telling his best friend, "Best Birthday Ever!". Climbing walls, Sky trail rope climbing, arcade games, mini bowling and a great playscape. Oh, don't forget the bumper cars! For the adults? Great local and national beer selection. The food? So much better than the Chuck E alternative. I suggest the Chi-town dog paired with a Stash IPA. Perhaps the best thing about this place is that it was super clean. I usually dread taking my kids to places like this because of sanitary issues, but this place was just about spotless. It was slow when we were there, and the staff we constantly cleaning.

Audrey S.

Yelp
Updated review: We tried epic fun again...my 6 year old, 2 year old, husband, and myself. It was ALOT more fun than last time!! A few times a couple of games were acting funny but we were able to experience everything there without a headache! Great Monday deal as well...free kids meal with package purchase! I noticed the place was definitely cleaner than last time and the management was available at all times..constantly checking in on the customers/employees/atmosphere without being overbearing. Food was brought out in a timely manner and the correct order as well. I'm glad we tried epic fun again and had the experience we expected the first visit! Lots of laughs and smiles this time around!!

Carmella M.

Yelp
Had so much fun throwing the Axes it was a great stress reliever while the other kids played video games my Grandson and I had a blast ,

Leonie L.

Yelp
This place is fun! The kids really had a good time. My 3 year old enjoyed playing on the play structure, and my 5 year old really enjoyed the bumper cars (although we did have to wait in line a long time for that. Birthday groups get priority). The reason I'm giving it only 4 stars is because anyone can walk out with your kid. Unlike Catch Air, Locomotion, Mount Playmore, etc, nobody verifies if the kids are leaving with who they came. This made it hard for us parents to completely relax. Maybe it's because my little 3 year old likes to run all over the place. Also, it's expensive! The staff is SO friendly. It was a pleasant experience, and I hope they keep this nice standard of service.

Sara L.

Yelp
It's open again! The staff is very nice, helpful and encouraging of kids doing activities. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the fancy nachos !

Shsnnon C.

Yelp
This place is pretty cool. There's a lot to do including go karts, laser tag, and a bunch of games. The way you pay up front is a little confusing so make sure you do you're research before. We always have a lot of fun and it's worth the money.

John P.

Yelp
I periodically go to Austin to visit my nephews, but I never get used to the heat (it was 107 when I was there). So I was thrilled to have a fun indoor facility to take them. It was a great time for my nephews so that was a weight off my shoulders - as they were able to stay occupied for hours on end. As an adult, I want to pretend that the reason I enjoyed my time at Epic was just the great beer and food selection, but I have to admit I was thrilled to play the giant space invaders and to traverse the skywalk. I recommend Epic Fun next time you need a fun safe place to take your kids for the day. I will definitely be returning next time i'm in Austin!

Jasmine L.

Yelp
This place has pretty good thrills and fun for the whole family. My family and I stayed there for a few hours and we had good fun. The sky course is big thrills and scary I thought, the climbing structures are way cool. I love how the younger children can do most things here. If your looking for multiple activities in an indoor environment this is a good place to have fun for a rainy cold day.

Bill K.

Yelp
Over priced arcade with basic crappy pizza and hotdogs. I'd rather spend time at Hill Country Indoor in Bee Caves up the street. I don't know how they stay in business. Any kid over 10 will be bored.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Pretty fun for the kids but definitely expensive. Feels like there could be more things added. Clean facilities. Food was decent but took a really long time to get. Overall it's a decent option in Oak Hill.

Leslie A.

Yelp
A little pricey but well worth it for a fun day of family time! My kids and husband both love it!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This place is super fun. I love that there are several opportunities for active play, not just video games. I was SUPER impressed with the staff. They were kind, courteous, and seemed to really be enjoying their work. We're all looking forward to our next Epic Fun adventure.
