Epicuro Chef’s Table in San Juan’s Santurce neighborhood wowed our party of 4 with a flawless 5-star dinner last night—intimate open-kitchen magic, Chef Antonio Pérez’s innovative five-course tasting menu fusing Puerto Rican farm-to-table gems with global twists, like duck with roasted eggplant and decadent chocolate soufflé. Sarah, the chef’s wife and our stellar waitress, delivered impeccable 5-star service with warm hospitality and expert insights. The $90 wine pairing elevated every themed course in this hedonistic culinary adventure. This hidden gem screams Michelin star potential; reserve via OpenTable well in advance for the interactive, theatrical dining thrill!

Once in a lifetime opportunity to eat here. We all felt blessed to get a seat at the table. Only 12 diners every night and reservations book out for months. Highly recommend setting an alert on OpenTable in case someone cancels. We could not get a reservation but got lucky when another group cancelled last minute. Antonio cooks everything in front of you as he passionately describes the theory/history behind each dish. He is engaging throughout the entire meal. Sarah was very attentive during the meal and made sure everyone was comfortable and relaxed. They have obviously poured so much thought and love into the entire experience. Without question the best dining experience I have ever had. I have no doubt that when Michelin makes its way to San Juan that this establishment will have a star.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and it was an exceptional experience! Antonio and Sarah are both wonderful and very attentive. They immediately welcomed us and made us feel as though we were guests in their home. Antonio shared many stories and inspirations behind each dish he prepared (as he was preparing them), and Sarah provided excellent wine pairings and insights, while sharing some of her background as well. The price is well worth the attention to detail and the care provided by each of them! We are looking forward to joining them for dinner again in the future.

Five stars is not enough for the incredible experience that Antonio and Sarah provide at Epicuro! As Chef Antonio said, this is not a restaurant but rather it is his and Sarah’s home that they welcome us into. This 12-seated Chef’s Table is an experience and conversation with those around you as well as with the food that speaks volumes while allowing you to be curious. Chef Antonio makes this experience extremely welcoming and accessible for anyone from all walks of life. Sarah made our day when she was so kind in emails leading up to potentially attending the November Cheese month. I had emailed her to see if there were two spots available and she put us on her list and crossed her fingers for us! When we got the email that two spots had opened (on our wedding day) it was the most beautiful gift to us! Sarah continued to be warm, welcoming, and connective on a human to human level. Antonio took us on a journey of the ingredients and how cheese was highlighted in each dish, not to mention the wine pairing that Sarah would create to emphasize each flavor! Truly one of the biggest highlights of our trip! Beyond grateful that we were able to experience the creation and knowledge of these two.

The best dining experience I've had in San Juan so far! My husband and I had a trip to Puerto Rico planned for my birthday. When I tried to make a reservation at Epicuro for that week, there wasn't one available but Sarah told me she'd let me know if something opened up and that's exactly what happened. I was so happy to be fit- thanks Sarah! As for the dinner, the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We felt like guests in Chef Antonio and Sarah's home. It was awesome getting to know them both, their history, and the stories behind all of the dishes that were served. And it goes without saying that the food was outstanding. The cherry on the cake was everyone singing me happy birthday. Thank you Epicuro! Not just the best dining experience we've had in San Juan, but one of the best altogether! I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

INCREDIBLE evening of food and hospitality. We were very thankful to be able to snag a spot last minute due to a cancellation, and it was absolutely an unforgettable experience. The food is delicious and it’s such a treat to be able to watch Chef Antonio make magic. And… my hot take is that it’s his wife’s Sarah’s attention to detail, wine pairing (AMAZING), and hospitality that makes this experience a can’t-miss experience. To Chef Antonio and Sarah, thank you for being such wonderful hosts and creating the experience of a lifetime. Epicuro is an absolute must for your trip to Puerto Rico. From start to finish, the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality were spectacular. We were here for a cheese-centric meal and it was out of this world. We will be back the next time we visit! I recommend doing the wine pairing and digestif.

An excellent chef with a great personality and remarkable charisma. He is highly knowledgeable about the dishes he prepares, ensuring everything is fresh. With experience working in various places around the world, he brings a deep understanding of the history and origins of food, making this an exceptional and unique dining experience in Puerto Rico. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and an outstanding ambiance, perfect for trying something new.

There are not enough stars here to give this review justice. Epicuro is an intimate gastronomical experience for 12 that Chef Antonio Pérez and his wife Sarah regale us with a different concept each month. This place is solidly booked in months in advance and we can certainly see why. Antonio and Sarah prepare and serve a 7 course meal with 3 wine pairings and optional accompaniments in front of you. Antonio regales you with important information and entertaining about each dish in the meal. The ambience is great. Antonio and Sarah are great hosts and make sure you are taken care of. My wife and I celebrated one of our wedding anniversary meals there and it was time and money well spent. This is a place where you take someone special along for the best meal of your lives. Go. Splurge. Treat yourself. You deserve this. Enjoy the cuisine of the finest chef in the island. It's totally worth it.
