14 Food Halls Around D.C. | Eater DC

"The Woodbridge food hall opened in April 2021 with a 14 vendors. Highlights include Bonfire Chicken, which serves up fried chicken wings and sandwiches, a fish and chip shop aptly named London Chippy, and Mr. Big’s Seafood, a Cajun spot serving seafood buckets piled with everything from shrimp to mussels to lobster tails." - Kalina Newman

My family decided to dine in here as my wife had a taste for ramen. Upon entering, it was immediately noticeable that many of the dining choices no longer were operating. More than half of the space was vacant. The shop we selected was JapoRamen. They were quick. The portion sizes were good. The look was good. The taste was great.

This place is so cool! The cocktail I got at the bar was delicious and the bartender was great! We got Japanese food and it was okay. We got dessert to go from the bakery and had to throw half of it away because it had spoiled and was stale. The red velvet cake was edible but mediocre. I loved the atmosphere and hope to see more options! I love all the vegan and vegetarian options too!

I have visited this food hall three times. There are many choices of restaurants to pick from that provide a variety of food items. They have vegan options, a bakery, New Orleans cuisine, Japanese, pho, tacos, and more. Depending on what you have a taste for, they most likely have something for you. If you can't choose, get all like I did. Every time I go, I eat from 3 different places. There are several seating areas. A movie theater style seating area where you can eat your food on a couch with a small table in front of you. There are booths with tvs overhead, high stool seating, lounge seating, and a game area where you can play jumbo jenga or large card uno. All of the staff are friendly. I have met the owner, and he is such a nice guy. There is always more to look forward to, as the restaurants change out and new ones come in. They are expanding and working on an upstairs entertainment area. This is definitely a family-friendly place, and I look forward to going back many times. NuVegan- (2 Stars) I have been here twice, and both times, they said they didn't have an item I requested. The service is extremely slow. The last time I waited 45 minutes. I have had this food at other locations and it was much better tasting. Bon Monge Cuisine- (5 Stars) Chef Darius is very nice if you get to meet him. The food is delicious, and you get to sample the food before you make a purchase. I had the blacken salmon with mashed rosemary mashed potatoes and cabbage. I've never been to New Orleans, but the taste of the food made me feel like I was there. Japomen- (4 stars) Although I only ate one thing here and it wasn't well, I think the other dishes would be better. I got a California roll. The rice was hard, and it didn't taste good. The other menu items looked really good, and they even have tacos, so I am willing to try more things. Pho Harmony and Grill- (5 stars) This is one of my favorite spots. Nice size portions of Pho and you can add veggies to any item. I got a veggie pho while my sister got the chicken with veggies. Great flavor, and pretty quick service. Vegan Sweets- (3 Stars) This spot has potential. When they decide to open and make fresh items, that last, this can make it to 5 stars. I have been waiting to try this place and there was finally someone working when I went. The individual seemed like they didn't want to work and didn't give off interest to the customers. They were in their phone most of the time, even while customers were in line. I went in the evening and got a s'more cookie sandwich. It looks delicious. I like that the ice cream is oat based. However, the cookie was hard as a brick. Even the marshmallow in the middle was hard. The flavor was good, but they have to work on the freshness of the items.

Oooohhh lala!!!!! Where has this place been all my life! I came across this place by chance. Had a meeting 2 minutes away from it and the lady told me to check it out, it's good. At first I was like it's just a food hall nothing special. I got here and I was amazed, this place is EPIC!!!!!. Bartender wasn't all that friendly but everyone else was soooo welcoming and polite. Gosh I wanted to buy everything there. I ended up trying the lamb and chicken plate from the halal place and man was this epic!!!!! Made me miss my check days for a little bit🤣. I saw there's gonna be a paint and sip session happening, told all my girls about it! We definitely gonna be rocking that one. gonna be back to explore more of the place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you in the area. Che k it out. You won't regret it!!!!!❤️

This is a good food hall to visit. Lots of parking available. Accessible as far as wheelchair but don’t remember seeing accessible doors. There are vegan options. There is a “Jamaican” restaurant that is to open soon. I use quotation marks until I see if it is truly Jamaican or “Jamaican inspired”, if you know what I mean. The Hall is also incorporating events, which should be cool. I recently visited again and saw that someone was hosting a celebration as well there. So, it seems that small parties could be hosted at a long table that is available as soon as you walk into the Hall. Not sure if needs to be reserved.

Nice variety of cuisines to choose from, including dessert and an alcohol bar. Went on a Friday night and saw many families and couples.DJ played music from different genres. The food was just okay, not particularly flavorful. Tasted more like fast casual. Not sure I would go again just for the food, but the experience was nice.

Hands down probably the most spacious food hall here in the DMV. I’ve been to a few and this one knocks the others out the park. They have games, a full bar, tons of food options and what looks to be is an area for live bands and music! Now let’s talk about the food. We went to Stacks, Audrey’s fish & chips, Japamen and got a fruit tea from The Sweets. Stacks - we ordered the garlic butter wings from here. 1) they took FOREVER. We watch the girl move in literal slow motion with everything she was doing. The flavor of the wings were bland but the crisp was there. Only ate one wing and decided we were going to take it home to airfry it and season them at home ourselves, so 6/10 for this place. Audrey’s fish & chips - ordered the shrimp roll that came with fries. 10/10 for this place! The lemon:mayo ratio was perfect. Not too much of one or the other. The fries were crispy just needed a little salt which nothing ketchup or their amazing house aioli condiment didn’t fix! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone asking. Japamen - salmon skin roll and pork belly bao buns. Both were delicious. I am extremely picky with my salmon skin rolls so I have started to ask every place I go to if they make theirs crispy. I was so happy with the roll. The Bao buns were great but I think it could have used a little sriracha, I personally thought it was ridiculous for them to up charge if you wanted the bao buns spicy. Overall 10/10, they have my vote. Lastly, The Sweet’s - I am beyond disappointed with this place. Ordered the passion fruit black tea, I tasted NO tea. All I taste is sugar. I am literally drinking a cup of diabetes. I can’t even finish it. It is awful.. perhaps they need to consider asking people sweetness levels for their drinks. But even then, I want to know why I don’t taste any tea in my drink? 1/10 for this place. Maybe in another lifetime, you’ll be better.

So this place is really expensive for what you're getting, but could be worth it depending on which restaurant you eat at. I tried food at London Chippy, The Sweet Bakehouse, Kiki's, Pho Harmony and Grill, and Stacks. *When we went on Saturday the 4th not all restaurants were open. London Chippy: I regret getting the lobster roll! For $18 bucks that's the size of their lobster roll plus a bit of fries; I don't usually regret food purchases, but I wanted to return it when I saw it. All three bites of the lobster roll tasted great, but I would never pay $18 again for getting this little amount of food. That's just steep! Pho Grill: I got the 32oz passionfruit drink that had pieces of real fruit and fruit jellies in it. The drink was worth the 7.99 because of the size, it was delicious, and I loved the fruit pieces. Kikis: Not sure what was going on with Kikis but I also thought 5.99 for the itty bitty cone was high. Don't get me wrong, it tastes great, though we were also told that the soft serve was softer than usual so the way we got the cone wasn't the norm. I didn't mind the mess because it tasted good. I can see myself being a regular if it wasn't 5.99 per cone. Too small a portion for 5.99. *pro tip: Put your topping in the bottom of the cone. It's way better like that. The sweet bake house: just like Kikis I can see myself becoming a regular here if their cakes were a bit cheaper. Each slice is $6+ which is a bit pricier than the bakeries in other places that have larger slices for the same price. Their cakes weren't too sweet and tasted like the flavor they said they were. I got the mango cake and matcha cake. Mango cake was very light, tasted like mango and is topped with a tiny mango slice. The matcha cake had nuts and I think some red bean inside? So good. Stacks: The cheesesteak was from stacks. It came with a side of curly fries which I didn't try. The food hall right now is just okay. While the food is good, their prices border on being steep for the portion sizes which makes it hard to be a regular there. Having had limited places open made it hard to find something good to eat as well. I'm hoping for improvements in the future so I can experience it as it was intended to be. Disappointing for a grand opening. For more food pics/reviews @SergeMagnavox on Instagram!

Yelp
epiQ Food Hall is a food hall located in the Woodbridge area, housing various eateries inside - they currently have Vessel Tea, Halal Kingz, Japomen, Pako's Fresh Mex, Jamaican Breeze, Mike's Philly & Fries, and Blue Southern BBQ. They also have Q Bar, which apparently is under new ownership and is currently temporarily closed due to revamping. The food hall also seem to host various events, such as karaoke nights and celebrating various holidays. There's ample seating, but the tables and the chairs could be wiped down more consistently. Lighting is more on the dim side. Plenty of parking in the large plaza lot. +ample parking

Yelp
I love food halls as a concept. It's a great way for a group of people to all have a great meal despite different dietary needs. I hope that epiQ grows, because right now it's a little sad. There aren't enough restaurants for the size of the building - I think only three were open when I went for a weekend lunch, and I never see many cars in the parking lot (and this is a lot for multiple businesses!). The food was good, but took a lot longer than I'd expect considering that we were the only customers waiting there.

Yelp
Skip this food hall - worst food hall I've been to! There's nothing epic about this food hall. It's pretty much a ghost town. There are about dozen vendors - mostly Asian, tacos, and meat hearty BBQ or cheesesteak places. Sadly, NuVegan Cafe closed. Honestly, none of the food looks appetizing and I regret getting a meal here out of desperation. Japomen (3/5) - While I was impressed by the meticulous packing, I was a bit underwhelmed with the Udon Noodles. Note, it's soup with a mound of congealed noodles and veggies. The savory broth was quite salty and after a few bites, I threw in the towel. After a subpar, dissatisfying meal, I headed over to &pizza near I-95 exit and felt pleased with my pizza!

Yelp
Honestly whoever manages this place is trash. Been here multiple time since they open and each time I go, they have new store in. No business can stay here for long due to high rent. Used to have 13 different small restaurants to choose from and now there is only 3 that's open.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
I've only tried two vendors when I visited EpiQ Food Hall on a weekend evening. I ordered food from Japomen and a drink from Vessel Tea. I ordered sushi, yakisoba, and a mango smoothie. I think the prices are a little more expensive than what I expected. While the food I had was delicious and generous, I think I can get the same quality on a sit-down restaurant. The noise level wasn't something I was comfortable about. Service from both vendors was okay. Japomen was systematic, which I really liked.

Marisol D.

Yelp
I've been to Epiq numerous times and the restaurants are always changing so it's hard to find a favorite spot here. I enjoy the sushi but it is somewhat pricy. The vegan treats are delicious. The Jamaican food is great but there's a lot of bones in the chicken. Bubble tea and treats are awesome.

Yelp
There are new stores that are opening up soon but it was so dead when I went. That was only my second time. My first time experience was, semi "epiq". I loved the food court concept with very good choices. Much better quality than in the average mall food court. There service is good and the ambiance was very energetic the first time. It is very clean and welcoming! This past experience was pretty dull. I'm glad it wasn't packed but so many places were closed or under renovation. The tv experience was lame because nothing was really showing. They do have a very large screen compiled of several attached. Depending on what is being shown can add to the ambiance or kill the vibe. I do like this place and I hope they get the stores opened again. I don't know the reasoning of many of the original eateries leaving (high rent, not enough business, or unpleasant management-?) but I'm hoping the new ones are as equal quality, otherwise, this place not last too much longer. Positive vibes!

Yelp
What a cool place! Nothing like this in my area - kind of like a mashup of a food court and a collection of food trucks. There's a central dining area that is indicative of a mall food court or maybe a Chipotle's dining room which is ringed on 3 sides by a variety of food vendors with specialty foods....I found myself gravitating toward a vendor that sells lobster rolls. Ordered that & some Hush Puppies to make sure my daily cholesterol intake was thru the roof! Good stuff! I went with my girlfriend & her sisters & everybody went to different vendors - no idea what they had as I was intently devouring my lobster roll ...I do know that everyone was pleased with their selections. Don't know when I'll be by again, but I'd definitely stop here if I'm hungry!

Yelp
absolutely horrible! A few years ago this place used to be full of amazing restaurants and always packed, I was craving some of the food in the hall so i decided to come revisit. When i walked in it was deserted, ran down, and empty. Whoever reads this don't waste your time

Yelp
If you only come here for Pakos, you're doing fine. Pakos has these loaded tots that became my VICE when I was pregnant. Delicious tinga chicken and the steak option works too. Even reheated it's divine- the tots just soak up more flavor in the microwave or oven. The people working there are pretty chill too- they saw I was holding my baby and brought our food over for us! Picture is of what I had left of my tots- I forgot to get a picture when I first got it lmao oops

Yelp
I love this place for the variety of food. Some would think it is a bit overpriced, but I say you cannot knock the price for the variety and support of smaller businesses. My new favorite is the sweet vegan shop. I've been there now 4 of the five days since opening, and I must say this is a WIN even if you are not vegan (my son has a dairy allergy, so this is truly a life saver). I had the cookies and two different flavors of ice cream, and let's say I'll be back. Little minors tacos are pretty good, sometimes inconsistent with food temp but good. I've tried the pizza, burritos, nacho, and tacos. Tacos are by far the best thing on the menu. Southern flare is pretty tasty, as I've reviewed them before. The new fish place I haven't tried, and the pho place is always pretty good. The no so good (maybe because I tried it earlier on--like day 2 of the opening was the hot chicken place. (Disclaimer I'm from Nashville, so a bit of bias) when it comes to good hot chicken. This place has temp hot food, but no spice, and the batter was wayyyy too thick on the tenders. I had to ask for a side of the spice mixture even remotely to taste the heat. I am looking forward to the NOLA place and Japomen place. The bake shop is good, although the deserts are cold regardless of which one you pick, and the bubble tea is not very strong. Q bar is always a hit, and I appreciate that the theme nights are always nice. Karaoke is a hit. They can sing well, and the DJ and trivia nights are a family favorite. Keep up the good work but remember, consistency is key!

Alex C.

Yelp
Food is good, a couple good restaurants but timing isn't very good. Also for the food location and service the meals are very very overpriced!

Yelp
Always a great spot to hit up. A variety of food from all ethnicities. They also have different events during the week and holidays.
google avatar

Ashlee A.

Yelp
Nice location for a lowkey hang out spot. We came on a Friday or Saturday and there was a DJ setting up around 7/8pm. Multiple restaurants open to choose from. We originally came thinking it was a bit of a game hall but I think there's like bingo on a weekday only. Drinks flowing, small snacks, and music makes a good place to meet, greet, and catch up with friends.
google avatar

Patu Q.

Yelp
The place itself has some great food joints. The Jamaican place was calling me but I went for A Taste of NOLA and the sushi place for the hubs. Food was amazing and service was great. Friendly staff. As for the food hall ambience, the place was clean but please change the lighting. The cool bright white lights made the ambiance pretty unwelcoming. They should change the bulbs to warm white and dim them a notch.
google avatar

Betsy S.

Yelp
This location has a ton of seating, a full bar, plenty of food choices, and live music. The cons: the lighting was a bit dark, and the bands audio was incredibly loud. The food hall isn't incredibly big but the music was deafening. It was hard to order food or chat with friends. Maybe a better sound system? We had sushi and it was fast and delightful. There were a few locations I wanted to check out so I will be back.

Yelp
4.5 stars overall - really great food hall with a plethora of food and drink options. Plenty of parking in the open lot, plenty of seating inside. Got a drink at Bakehouse, food from London Chippy and the signature waffle pastry from Kiki's. I came here a few months ago, so I don't remember the exact drink I got from Bakehouse, but it was really good. Food at London Chippy was awesome. The mac and cheese was bussin', fried fish was okay, but it was a large serving with a flaky crust, and I tried my friend's shrimp, that right there and the mac and me cheese were standouts. I think London Chippy may no longer be at Epiq though based on their website and also we later tried to go there a second time and the food stand was closed. The cute waffle pastry I got from Kiki's was okay, underwhelming honestly. But I'm open to try their other items though. I personally love food halls - you get to choose from a variety of spots, and usually get the opportunity to try new up-and-coming businesses. Epiq is a nice addition to Woodbridge and the DMV.
google avatar

Stacy H.

Yelp
This another food hall that offers many different food options. Mexican, Sushi & Ramen, NOLA cuisine, Thai, vegetarian and delicious desserts. They have nice seating options plus a bar for watching sports. They have a set up for live music and other entertainment. The Jamaican place hadn't opened yet. The burger place doesn't seem to open until 1pm. I would go back next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
Everything is expensive and very small portions. Food is pretty good but the price point is too high
google avatar

Douglas K.

Yelp
You must try the fish and chips at Audrey's fish and chips . Cooked to order and amazing!! Add some shrimp which were large well seasoned and fresh as well. My only regret was I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures. I also got some yakasobi to go. My review would have been 4 stars if it wasn't for the bar. 5 guys sitting at the bar and a lady at the end of the bar on her computer all enjoying their drinks while I stand there waiting for someone to come take my order. Waited about 5 mins and no one came so I went and just ate and got a bottled water. Basically the bar could use some serious customer service help. But the food ....Wow! Fresh well seasoned and delicious
google avatar

Vincent M.

Yelp
Today we decided to stop by around lunch time and the majority of the stalls were closed. I hadn't seen anything about them being closed, but it was mostly the pastry/sweets/drink stalls that were open. I'm hoping it was just a one-off and I'd be interested in checking it out again if this was a random incident.

Yelp
At first impression this place has the appeal of an upstanding, clean food court with a plethora of seating. The internal portions of this place consist of 10 restaurants, a full bar, an ice cream shop, a cookie/tea/coffee bar, a party zone, and what appeared to be a section that a small party can reserve for special occasions (sorry, gotta take a breath). The four of us each got something different from a different place in order to expand our experience. Below is our orders and thoughts. - Fried fish, plantains, and French fries from Jammin Island. The fries were store bought, the plantains were exceptionally good, and the fish was not bad but still contained the skill. The jerk sauce is extremely hot, and I'm a southern boy who grew up with fish and hot. - Noodles, chicken, and egg rolls from Pho. This by far was the most delicious, nutritious meal we got, as well as aesthetically pleasing. - Ice cream from the ice cream shop. It was pretty good with a strawberry injected bunny that self-glazed the ice cream as the buddy broke open. However, it was relatively pricy. - Fish and hush puppies from London Chippy. The fish was...well, fried fish but the hush puppies were tasty. Overall, this place is unique and an experience in and of itself. I'd like to come back to try out the bar area, though. If you go, be ready, you're going to drop an average of $3 for a soft drink and $13-$15 for an entree. Nevertheless, not a bad place to do something different. Enjoy!

Yelp
I feel bad to everyone that had a bad experience because we had such a great time. We really wanted to play bingo and decided we'd try it out. I was nervous because of the reviews being so varied. We had fish and chips as well as the Jamaican food. Both places had a large portions and everything came out hot. Also they had some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. Fish and chips - crispy fries and lightly breaded fish. It was mostly fish and not breading which seemed worth it for the money. The level of customer service was great. Jamaican jerk chicken- chicken sauce had a great flavor and just the perfect amount of spice. Never had jerk chicken so the flavor to me was very unique and flavorful. They had a lot of sides to choose from. We had the cabbage and rice.

Yelp
This place was so cool! The decor and ambiance of the food hall is super cute. There are plenty of vendors to try it was hard to try just one of them. I went with the fried chicken tenders place (honey garlic) + fries :) I got a thing of free seasoned fries to try ! Then I got the Harmony combo that came with teriyaki chicken, grilled pork, rice and salad. So good! And plenty of food to take home. For dessert I got the soft-serve sweet cream ice cream with a cookie butter waffle. Delicious as well :) I got 6 bakehouse cookies to bring with me to share with my friends. Great food hall and I'll be back to try more things :)

Yelp
Japomen is great! The ramen is one of the best in the areas! I've had the vegetarian ramen several times. The only thing I wish, is that they'd be consistent with the addition of yuzu. The first time I had it, it was amazing and added such unique flavor to the ramen. The next time I had it, I couldn't taste any of it! I've had the sushi a few times now as well and haven't been disappointed. The staff are friendly and Korean owned. They have good roll and sashimi or nigiri combo deals. I'd recommend getting a ramen and a few nigiri or a roll! I'd love to see some more rolls with more veggies.

Yelp
So taking our dear friend for her birthday celebration and this is a cool place. Imagine the food court survives when the mall shuts down the very busy. Good for families. There's a bar and a lot of different types of foods. Very busy. Tacos , sushi, hotpot, bbq, vegan if I lived in this area I would support this spot really good
google avatar

Ken C.

Yelp
There are multiple booths mixed with different style of foods, included Southern BBQ, Mexican, Jamaican and Middle East. After a spicy ramen and I got a boba tea to cool off. The price is normal comparing to other location in NoVA. The service is fast and depending on the time. They have seat that you can do your IG thing. The cashier was friendly and smile : ) at you.

Yelp
This was my first time at Epiq food hall, and I wish I could give it a higher rating. Pros - There's a lot of seating and a variety of restaurants to choose from! In all I counted 13, from tacos, Cajun seafood, pho, Jamaican, British, Italian, snack food, ice cream shop, bakery, and a bar. I came on Saturday night, and there was live music which was great! It set a nice night out vibe that I didn't know I needed. Cons - The actually food was sub par. Between my family we tried 5 places. Pho Harmony and Grill: The pho had a lot of oil in it, which brought the tone and flavor of the dish down. London Chippy: Understandably, the price for crab cake went up a few dollars because of the recent international higher price of seafood. But, the crab cake was not up to standard. It felt like 90% filling, and had only a hit of crab buried in the seasoning and stuffing. Mr Big's Seafood: There was a lot of communication trouble with the cashier. But the Brussel sprouts with bacon were really good. I also got a side of corn; it looked like the corn was soaked in water for way too long because the kernels were so bloated- but hey, it was tastey. Note: after I paid for my order, I entered my phone number and got a text when it was ready. Oki Bowl Express: The toppings were alright. The actually noodles were not good. They claim it's Ramen, it's not. :( but The server was nice and brought out the food to our table when it was ready. Kiki's: Extremely standard ice ice cream. Nothing outstanding. We waited atleast 20 min for our waffle item, and the server was not attentive. We were the only customer. It was a pretty poor experience. It was not worth $12. I'm really shocked there was an issue at each place. Glad I went once, but I'd never go out of my way to go here myself again.

Yelp
epiQ Food Hall [eFH]. (3 stars). Epic huh... as in epic fail? Maybe that's a bit harsh but let me explain... I first noticed a banner on the side of the building as I walked out of my post office which is located just across the street. I was interested in visiting since I knew it would be similar to food courts at malls etc. I pulled up their website & saw a few places I was really interested in trying so I drove over. This food hall is actually a lot smaller than most food courts but that didn't deter me. As I walked around to see all the vendors, I noticed a few stalls said "coming soon" & Kiki's which was a stall I wanted to try (soft serve) was empty. I came here on 2 separate occasions & what I'm finding is that more stalls are closing. I was informed that Bonfire has already closed & when I look at the website, Bonfire & Kiki's no longer have active websites & Bonfire's business number has been disconnected. Also, it's very difficult to plan when the website only says "Opening Soon" but the other vendors say they don't even know when those stalls will open. The Q Bar takes up 1/4 of the food court & the bartender told me they host karaoke nights & other events throughout the week which good for humans who enjoy socializing but the lack of customers that frequent this area is concerning. It is very hard to draw a crowd when stalls are closing at a rapid rate. On my two visits I went during supposedly peak dining times & I only saw a handful of customers. I do hope these businesses are able to stay in business & I'm looking forward to trying the Nashville Hot Chicken stand when it opens. Currently there is a vegan stall, southern food stall, ramen stall, taco stall (Little Miner Taco), pho stall, bakery, & Q Bar. I highly recommend checking their website before heading over since they seem to do a good job of removing business within a few days of those that no longer exist... Parking is ample & available in a shared lot with other businesses. I do wish eFH well & I'll come back & perhaps update my review when more stalls are open.

Yelp
This place had a nice selection of foods, from seafood, to pizza, sweets and beer! I wanted to try them all, only problem was that it took very long for me to get my food. My friends and I were hangry, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Some businesses weren't open, while others were still rushing to prep. I'd say the food tasted good but nothing out the ordinary. To me, the food seemed a pricier than it should be. Like, I'm not spending $40 for a regular sized pizza with some "special" toppings on it. And the portion size of the Pho bowls didn't match the price. I could go elsewhere and pay less for a bigger tastier bowl of Pho. We got there around 12ish, noon and the place filled up quickly within 2 hours. Although I didn't try everything I saw, I'd like to come back during a less busy time, preferably during the weekday if possible. The space is big! But was so packed. And not everyone was wearing masks. No social distancing was enforced. You're temperature is checked at the entrance and hand sanitizer is provided as you enter and other spots within the vicinity. As much as I'd like for things to get back to normal, I still think some rules should apply especially in a food hall like this. I'll be back though!

Yelp
Great place to stop for some variety! Don't come towards the end of the night though! Places were closing before 9:00 We did try Pho and for a chicken thigh noodle dish. That was delicious. It's like a cold noodle salad and the lettuce adds a nice crunch. The egg roll was delicious and you definitely need soy or their garlic sauce. The Bonfire chicken wings were insanely amazing! Everything I've ever wanted in a wing! Very crispy, hot, good size with a good meatiness. SO freakin' amazing!

Yelp
Went to Epiq food hall yesterday evening with some family that was visiting. This was my first time there but knowing what I know about Woodbridge, I didn't have high hopes. It literally looks like a foodcourt that WANTS to be upscale and "instagramable." But it's neither of those things. It felt like a run down mall foodcourt that was doing everything it could to bring in customers by having grass walls and neon signs to take pictures by. Which is comical because do people really go to restaurants for those things as opposed to good/great food??? They also have a huge tv on the wall but some of the sections of it were scrambled. There isn't much of a variety of food. A BBQ spot, Japanese/Asian, Jamaican, and Mexican. There is also a dessert spot. 3 of my family members including myself had the Jamaican food (I believe it was called Jamaican Breeze). It was decent. But expensive for chicken! Also, we didn't enjoy having to pick bones out of our food. My guess is that they grill and cook the chicken first and then chop it after it's cooked causing the bones to splinter and break off. Regardless of the minor inconvenience the food was good 4/5 As we were waiting for the food I witnessed at the neighboring Mexican restaurant a worker dip a spoon into a container of what looked to be some sort of sauce or salsa and taste it. I assumed he was tasting for flavor or texture. Which is fine as long as it's a single use and clean spoon. Well he proceeded to then dip it back in said mixture and taste again. The same spoon. Disgusting and unsanitary! While we originally went there for the Creole Restaurant we were disappointed to find out that the restaurant had closed. It was also disappointing to see that there were only 5 places to choose from. And really only 4 after witnessing the unsanitary conditions of one of them. This location literally has so much potential but it seems as if it wants to be something it's not. Or perhaps the owners just don't know exactly what they want it to be. I wasn't impressed at all and I won't be returning.

Yelp
Epiq is slowly but surely getting it together. The food is changing/improving constantly and Michael(?) is mingling with, interacting, and LISTENING to the patrons. Entertainment is becoming a priority (so much so they opened the other side of the venue for events). I've been to 2 events and have enjoyed each of them. I'm reserving that elusive 5th star because some times the food can be off: Southern Flair's chicken comes out the grease a smidge too early.....the fish spot next to them charged me $18 for a lobster roll that was basically 2 pieces of lobster meat in a toasted hotdog bun....the Caribbean spit is gone(their fault, though). I think with time, everything will work itself out. For now, I'll continue to enjoy my experiences..

Yelp
Great food and event space I the area. With so many chain restaurants every way you turn this is food hall is a breath of fresh air. Lots of seating and foods for all people There is also a bar and they have events throughout the week.

Yelp
Super cool concept! They have lots of different cuisines and a full service bar. Plenty of seating with numerous TVs to watch sports games while you hang out and enjoy your meal. Located in a shopping center so there is ample lot parking. The only thing I wish they had were napkin dispensers on each table. It was a little bit of a pain to get up and find a napkin in the middle of my meal. Other than that, I can't wait to come back and try more food again!

Yelp
Hard to rate this place because each food vendor is different. The entire space Seems like a nice place. Vendors, live music, corn hole, TV's, even had something for kids to do. I tried a steak and cheese and wife got a chopped beef from one of the food stalls, forget the name of the place but it was in the back and opposite of the stairs, but neither sandwich were good. Not sure how you mess up a cheesesteak and chopped cheese sandwich but he sure did. Hardly any meat in cheesesteak, both sandwiches were too salty and too greasy. We may come back to try other vendors but not were we got our food from. They also had live music and the cover band sounded good but it was way too loud for the small space they were in.

Yelp
Amazing vibe, amazing atmosphere, plenty of space, family nights, trivia nights, great food, what more could you ask for? We've been here on a few occasions, and we usually try 2-3 places per visit. It's a pleasure to say we haven't tried anything bad so far. The outside of the establishment really does this food hall no justice. When you walk in you're immediately hit with a great ambience and a great selection of cultural choices. Epiq offers family nights, movie nights, and game nights, and plenty of other activities that will keep you and your family amused. Now on to the food! My 2 favorite dishes so far are the Birria Burrito, Beef Patty, and the Spicy Soy wings. I also like the Jerk Ribs, the only downfall is that they don't have enough of the jerk flavor for my personal taste. But, what they don't have in jerk flavor, they surely make up in the tenderness of the "fall off the bone" ribs. You should be prepared to pay a premium price point here, but i'm sure that you will find something that you like! 3 stellar trips, and hoping for many more! Overall, a 5/5 for me!

Yelp
A lot of options to eat and a nice place to hang for the locals and kids! Would def come back to try other places. Most foods are hit or miss but as far as the venue, I would def come back.

Yelp
This place gets a 5/5 for decor and first impressions. Seriously, its creative, inviting, interactive, and concept-wise, works for singles, families, or couples (and perfect for the gram). However, that's where the 5 stars end. We tried multiple places on our first visit, hoping to get a little taste from everything...but we were not impressed. Unfortunately the food did not deliver, and as a FOOD HALL this was a huge let down for us. We ordered a kids burger and fries from STACKS. Unfortunately it came with cheese - no worries, we took it back and they said they would fix it. By 'fix it' they meant, peel the cheese off and give us back the same burger. This was an allergy issue, not a personal preference, so this was not acceptable. We didn't say anything and instead switched our menu items for the family to compensate - again trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. The burger patty itself was frozen, thin, and the flavor was very off-putting. To be honest, I would rather order fast food then pay another $12 for a kids combo meal. Steak fries were fine- so at least the little ones had something to snack on. We also tried MR. BIG'S SEAFOOD which offers a self serve computer so YOU can put in your order to the kitchen. I liked this concept because it allowed me to think through my selection instead of feeling rushed that someone was waiting on me. We ordered the fried calamari and a bowl from Mr. Big's. The calamari was probably the best thing we ordered that day. The bowl was decent, but they fell short on execution on several things. I ordered a grilled chicken bowl with rice, corn, red onions, spicy mayo, topped with crispy onions and cilantro. The chicken barely had any "grill" marks on it, and looked more like reheated frozen chicken strips that were diced. I would have rather had larger slices of chicken so I could see the quality of the chicken versus dicing it into tiny pieces. The corn was cold, it hadn't been cooked at all - a quick heat on the flattop would have been plenty. The cilantro came in whole stems, which really threw me off. Am I supposed to eat entire stems of cilantro in every other bite or mince it up myself? I'm still puzzled by this one. It was just a lot of small things that made me question the concept completely. I know several of these owners are new restaurant owners and I really hope they are able to work out the kinks in the future. The last shop we tried for redemption was the THE SWEET BAKEHOUSE. We tried 6 macarons, for $11. We tried the vanilla, chocolate, lemon, and raspberry. The macarons had decent feet and chew, but the fillings ranged from good to off-putting. The vanilla and raspberry were probably the best two we tried. The chocolate was good, but the coco flavor was very artificial and the lemon had a bad aftertaste to it. I'm not sure if they were just having an off day, or if these were old. I just was not impressed with the quality and the taste definitely did not wow me. I'm glad I gave this place a try, but I'm not sure I'll be back for the food. There was a cool pizza oven in the parking lot and the owner seemed to be making a movie for the business....so maybe we'll come back for that, haha.

Yelp
The plant based chicken at Nu Vegan is amazing. I had to buy it 2 days in a row. I'm obsessed!!!

Yelp
I'm surprised by how spacious this place is! There are a handful of diverse vendors. You got pho, burgers, Korean fried chicken, seafood, tacos, southern food, sweets... I tried the jerk chicken at Jammin Island BBQ and couldn't be happier with my meal! Every entrée comes with 2 sides. I thought the plantains and collard greens that I chose were solid. For a Friday evening, business seems to be pretty slow at this food hall. It's located in a weird location and the sign outside wasn't lit up, so I thought it was closed. Glad I checked it out though! I appreciated that the place is very clean and there's lots of room, especially during this pandemic. I would definitely try the other vendors the next time I'm in Woodbridge.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while in the area~ Decent food and cute set up, but not all of the stalls were filled and had "coming soon" signs. We liked the quesadillas from Little Miner Taco! We also tried the ramen which was okay, not bad but not mind blowing. The cafe was very cute too! The bubble tea is definitely on the sweet side~ the separate little seating area was very cute :) Food was overall good, not great. I like the concept of food courts so maybe will try again if more stalls are open?

Yelp
Over priced food, charging DC prices in Woodbridge. If you like options then I recommend it. Brings to kind a slightly upscale Potomac mall food court.... I empathize the slightly part

Yelp
If you like cafeteria, food court style eating, this is the place for you. They even have a bar for the adults. This establishment is kid friendly as there are several choices to choose from. I settled in ramen and it was delicious. The service is quick as well. I attended a kids birthday party here and my 7 year old son enjoyed the food. There is plenty of space for a large gathering. The bar is perfect for a date night or happy hour. There are two dessert restaurants to choose from. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
New update - nobody wants a dj at 3pm on a Saturday. The entire room looks irritated. I've watched 20 people walk in and walk right out in the 75 seconds it took to hate what is happening right now. Why is the bar cash only now? So we're supposed to go waste money on atm fees first? Never. Literally walked in and straight back out. This is the same reason why we stopped coming for MONTHS. Can't even take this place seriously. As much as i like this place, the absolute WORST POSSIBLE THING IT CAN DO IS HAVE LIVE BANDS, A DJ, AND RESERVED SEATING FOR A COUPLE FANS! I HATE showing up here and find out they're shutting down 50% of seating and blocking walkways for random bands that nobody seems to be interested in. Don't get me wrong, they're talented people, but RESERVED SEATING IN A FOOD HALL FOR LOCAL ACTS BUDDIES IS IGNORANT AND A BAD BUSINESS MODEL! Its to the point where i dread someone suggesting the place. It was a great concept but you've really ruined the establishment. This isnt a night club for late 40s people

Yelp
June 2021 - COVID Review: I was happy to hear that Woodbridge finally got a food hall of their own! It's definitely nice and spacious with a number of long tables for seating. I was surprised it wasn't too overly crowded when I went on a Saturday morning/early afternoon. There's a lot of vendors with a variety of cuisine options, including drinks and dessert! I didn't try all of the spots when I was there but a few of them did pique my interest for next time!

Yelp
Chef Darius at Bon Mange Cafe serves up amazing New Orleans style cuisine from a very diverse food court in Woodbridge. The food is full of seasoning but not spice or salt. I ordered the sampler with a side of red beans and rice so I could have all of the main courses on one tray. Everything was awesome! Chef Darius stopped me before taking my first bite of the crawfish etouffee as he said it wasn't up to his standards as he just came on duty. He then brewed up a fresh batch and delivered it to my table. It tastes as if somehow he fit an entire stick of butter into a 1 and 1/2 cup serving bowl! Even with my wife helping me, I have plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow. I'll definitely be back!
