Epiro Nice | Vino e Cucina

Our very first meal stop in Nice, and one we were really looking forward to! The restaurant is tucked just off the right side of Nice Harbour, a little further from the Old Town, making it a cozy spot away from the main crowds. We ordered the pasta and a charcuterie platter. While the presentation could use a little polish, the flavors more than made up for it. The pasta was perfectly cooked to European standards, with a meat sauce that was rich, authentic, and not overly salty. The charcuterie selection was fresh and paired beautifully with their bread and olive oil. To finish, the espresso was exactly what we needed—bold and satisfying. The service was warm and welcoming, and even though the menu doesn’t have English translations, the staff spoke excellent English and were happy to help. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Nice. And fun fact: the owner is a dead ringer for Jeff Bezos!

Cannot recommend Epiro enough! This is truly a hidden gem in Nice outside the chaos of the overly touristy areas. If you are looking for one of the best homemade pasta meals in Nice this is the spot! Our server was extremely kind and answered all my questions about my allergies and dietary restrictions due to being pregnant. I had the Cacio e Pepe and it was truly as good as ones I have had in Italy! The chef makes all the pasta fresh and the desert was delicious. My husband also enjoyed the natural wines and his bolognese!

A lovely small local Italian restaurant. Menu is fairly simple and small. But everything is fresh and homemade from the delicious focaccia to to the homemade pasta and their cold meat is so good. Very flavoursome and well made. A little hidden gem to try if you’re in the area. Try the risotto and the bolognese pasta.

It was a really pleasant meal for me. Marco gave a really good service, and the food was quite delicious and fresh. Highly recommended.

A great little place to eat just off the port. The food was fresh and well presented. Everything was tasty The staff were helpful and took time to explain each dish. Highly recommended.

Wow! This meal was incredible. It’s a small menu featuring seafood oriented appetizers and pasta main dishes with a really exciting wine list featuring smaller Italian producers. From the start, the person who served us guided us to a wonderful sparkling wine from Italy. The tempura style calimari with a red pepper sorbet was a brilliant pairing. The octopus was delicious and perfectly done. The pasta was… incredible. We are in Nice for three days and we asked for another reservation for the next night, it was that good (but unfortunately they were closed). I can’t recommend enough! It’s on the port side of Nice as well so outside the main tourist area. The service was awesome! And to add, they will can (literally put in a can and seal it) spritzes and gin & tonics in case you need a drink to go. Make a reservation!

This is a true gem. A small cozy restaurant with creative and very delicious food. There are also great natural wines and knowledgeable staff. We had a fried fish dish that came with tempura fried vegetables and a scoop of red bell pepper sorbet on top (!). The homemade pasta ragu was delicious and came with a parmigiana cream that made this dish very special.

Nicely designed small Italian restaurant with handmade pasta as its main focus, good natural wines and an overall great atmosphere. A bit pricey but nothing out of the ordinary considering it’s Nice and right by the seaside.
