Época Café Bar

As a digital nomad with years of international travelling experience, this may just be the best breakfast place on my list! It's slightly above the legendary Bali breakfasts (if you know what I mean, then you know) for me. And finally that great taste of Colombian coffee.... Right in the middle of the old town. Definitely coming back here again, highly recommended!

This espresso bar was so cute. Loved the coffee hot and iced. Ended up bringing some beans back home and tasted just as good. My favorite was the croissant, literally melted in your mouth. Tons of shops and other businesses in the area also. Can get a little crowed but the service is still good. I would recommend!

Época Café Bar is the kind of place that makes you pause and think—can a café really be this pretty? It’s the kind of spot where you want to stay a while, whether you’re sipping a slow coffee or catching up over brunch. The coffee is top-tier, and the food is equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Service is warm and welcoming, which just adds to the overall charm. A must-visit if you’re in Cartagena and want to experience a café that’s as much about atmosphere as it is about quality. Truly a hidden gem with serious soul.

Everything about this place was awesome! The breakfast was so good! We went here twice and really enjoyed it. One of the best breakfast places we tried while in Colombia. Pancakes we really good and the bacon was nice and thick. Everything was cooked perfectly.

Latin vibes in a beautiful old building. Lovely Buena Vista tunes. Coffee is good, lunch dishes even better! Avocado toast, spicy chicken sandwich, club, orange chicken, chicken salad. We went here twice during our stay in Cartagena. Both times really friendly service from Alonso.

My husband and I stopped in to eat at Epoca while vacationing in Cartagena. The food, the ambiance and customer service was so amazing we ate there every morning of our vacation. Marcel & Wilson were very personable, remembered the drinks we liked and even our names. Their customer service was outstanding. If you’re in the area make sure you visit Epoca you won’t be disappointed.

It started at 5 as all reviews do more or less. But I'll be honest this feels more like a tourist trap than anything. I'm sorry. It took forever to get our order in. Followed by forever to get our food. The portions weren't big by any means. Then, getting our bill was another headache. It really wasn't that busy. The food we got was pretty tasty and the staff when they did speak to you were nice and the restaurant itself is beautiful inside.

The food here was super delicious! It’s a must it was so good I would come back again. I found this place on tik tok and I am so glad I did. The place is super cute and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Our server was Andres. He was very patient with our questions and very nice. However, it is a little pricey but the food was worth the price. Just be aware that if you order water you get an automatic charge for a cold cup.
