The 35 Best Restaurants in Cartagena, Colombia | Eater

"With two cafes located in the heart of the walled city, Época aims to capture the intensity and aroma of specialty beans from coffee-growing regions like Quindío, Risaralda, Santander, and Sierra Nevada. To complement the coffee, they also offer a variety of eggs and omelets, pancakes, French toast, Mexican and Colombian dishes, and pastries. Meanwhile, inventive cocktails feature aromatic infusions of cardamom, rosemary, coffee, or cacao, as well as syrups made from beets or cantaloupe. It’s the perfect place to get some work done, meet friends, or take a quick break from walking around the city. [$ - $$]" - Juliana Duque

Época Café Bar is a must-visit in Cartagena as it is easily one of the best café experiences in the city. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, combining historic charm with a refined, cozy feel. The interior features high wooden ceilings, stone walls, elegant lighting, and a perfectly curated blend of vintage and modern details that make it feel both timeless and inviting. We had the cappuccino, matcha latte, almond and chocolate croissant, and a fresh fruit bowl (everything was excellent). The coffee was rich and smooth, the matcha was balanced and creamy, and the pastries were fresh, flaky, and delicious. The fruit was vibrant and flavorful, clearly high quality. Service was warm and attentive from start to finish, and the staff made the whole experience feel effortless. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely breakfast, a place to work, or just a beautiful spot to enjoy your coffee, Época is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

Amazing coffee & good food! A great place for both lunch and breakfast. They have a large selection of items and are all clearly labeled for dietary restrictions. Went here twice in two days and will probably go again while we are here!

Stopped in for a couple cappuccino’s. Great Place! We already had a little breakfast, but their breakfast items looked delicious. The cafe was perfectly blended and they filled our cups to the brim. We accompanied it with an almond croissant and it was the perfect morning date. 💕 Would recommend to any fellow cafe connoisseurs. ☕️

Época Café Bar has such a beautiful ambiance with a perfect balance between colonial charm and modern style. The atmosphere and decor really set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable visit. The French toast was absolutely amazing, the perfect texture and flavor that really woke up the taste buds. Service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and overall the experience was memorable. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and return to!

The best brunch spot in Cartagena, especially if you're traveling as a foreigner. There's vegetarian options, some of the best chicken and waffles you'll have, and delicious coffee with local caramel. It's a bit pricey compared to local standards, but easily recommend this spot for the food. The inside is nice and air conditioned as well, and staff is very accommodating.

Went here multiple times. Food, coffee, drinks and service were amazing (thanks to Eduardo and others). The house Corozo juice is the best drink you can find to refresh! Located in the building of the church, it gives you an interesting feeling. Coffee very tasty, tomato soup was one of the best I tried in many countries.

Marcel was absolutely hands down the best. Made me feel so at home I continued come back to this location every morning of my vacation. They entire bar staff was as good as it gets. Didn't even investigate other breakfast spots because this felt like home. Highly recommended.

This espresso bar was so cute. Loved the coffee hot and iced. Ended up bringing some beans back home and tasted just as good. My favorite was the croissant, literally melted in your mouth. Tons of shops and other businesses in the area also. Can get a little crowed but the service is still good. I would recommend!
