This epoch location is warm and inclusive. It makes you feel welcome and loved. Absolutely love the place and they make fantastic drinks. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe has wild artwork and several clean restrooms. Can't wait to stop here again!

My son and I came here after church and I had matcha hot tea and he had lavender iced drink. I thought the ambience was unique, free wifi, coed restrooms-2 cubicles each which I felt unsafe/ uncomfortable). Pleasant server and a much needed pick me up drinks.

Perfect Spot for Coffee and Focus I dropped into Epoch Coffee and had a flat white—absolutely delicious! Smooth, rich, and made just right. The place was around 70% full, mostly remote workers using the Wi-Fi, and the atmosphere was relaxed and productive. I was there reading on my iPad and felt totally comfortable hanging out for a while. Great coffee, solid vibe, and an ideal location. Definitely coming back!

Came for some warm drinks on a cold day and it definitely hit the spot! Ordered the vanilla latte, matcha latte, and a hot chocolate. Nice place to enjoy a drink while getting work done or catching up with friends.

This place has some legit delicious single origin Guji espresso from Wild Gift roaster! I hope it lasts for a while. The in-house espresso has big body, great texture and nice a pop of acidity coming from that washed Columbia blended in. One of my top coffee experiences in Austin so far.

My favorite epoch location I’ve visited so far in terms of atmosphere. Great place to get some work done, sometimes it can get pretty packed though. The pastries are also delicious, my favorite is the bannana bread.

For my first time at Epoch, they absolutely delivered. I had a delicious chocolate croissant and the life support tea. They even went to the extra trouble of making it iced for me, which was much appreciated. Overall a great experience, lovely people, and lovely art inside.

Great coffee. Who tried European way of brewing coffee won’t go to any other place around. These guys make and serve it well, for a reasonable price. Please don’t order triple sweet cream banana mango coffee here. Take instead a cup of regular cappuccino or latte and enjoy the great taste of coffee, not a sweetener.

One of the best coffee shops to visit in Austin. This coffee shop is laptop friendly and they have plenty of working tables inside and a few outdoor tables to utilize. Within the last few months they've done a bit of a makeover and took over the back community space and have put in a state of the art roaster for on-site roasting. This machine is so nice and I really appreciate the passion they have for their program. Epoch Coffee is an inclusive and safe space and it truly is an open to all business. From gender neutral bathrooms and safe sex protection kits in the bathroom, to signage all around that everyone and anyone is welcome here. This coffee shop is doing some great work. Now moving on to their actual coffee program - wow - it goes without saying they have some of the best lattes and cold brews one could have. What really stands out to me is their lavender syrup which creates a nice balance of flavor without it being too sweet. I really wanted to like Epoch because it's such a classic UT student study spot. I came here on a Sunday afternoon with friends, and we had to be vigilant about claiming a seat when someone left. We weren't able to get our own table, but we sat at the long table with other people. I really like the design of putting a long table so that fewer seats remain empty. The wifi was kind of slow and not working at times. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do love a chai latte when I go to a coffee shop. Unfortunately, the iced chai latte ($4.87) I got here was so watered down. My coffee enthusiast friend tried it and said it tasted like water. It was so bad and very disappointing since this was one of my rare coffee occasions, and I was looking forward to the chai latte. The restroom was very dirty. There was suspicious liquid all over the floor and very grimey. Otherwise I really liked the productive ambience of the coffee shop.

Nice, cozy place with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee tastes really nice, also ordered the banana bread witch was just perfect, and a turkey provolone sandwich - another yum thing on the menu. Service might be a little slow because the place is actually in demand. Spent a couple of hours there, at their outdoor patio to catch up on some things, and it was the perfect setup - sunny and breezy, nice seating, quiet surroundings! Definitely coming back

We were in the plaza and needed a quick pick me up when we saw the cafe. Got a double espresso which was good and strong. Service was short and professional. The space from the outside seems like it would be small but it goes far back and cozy. There was someone at every table working on their laptops. The aesthetic gives me an eccentric/hipster/grunge feel. There's a very large communal table when you walk in but the seats are just so close to the single tables against the wall that my friends and I couldn't talk and catch up without bothering the people who were working without their headphones.

I love coming to Epoch. There's ample parking located in the front and back, it's easy to access, and if you're not wanting to sit inside, you can enjoy your bevy on the property's zen shared patio space. Epoch is the perfect spot for a work from anywhere day. They not only have drinks, but they also serve light bites, including breakfast tacos that really hit the spot. Note: since this is a spot frequented by remote workers, you may find difficulty finding a seat. For the business: I would recommend getting smaller tables meant for 1-2 people, as the larger tables aren't as inviting when you see one person with an entire workstation set up and 3 empty seats. It would allow more people to come in and enjoy a beverage or snack comfortably.

Seriously solid coffee shop. Good coffee, great baristas, not a Starbucks. They have some different seating arrangements, everything from tables to couches, etc. My only complaint is that they tend to keep it a little chilly in there for me.

The best first date of my life ended up here so I'd say it's pretty good. Get your coffee and go sit in the courtyard outside. There is a lovely gazebo and koi pond with lots of seating.

Service was great and friendly! I had a delicious recommendation with the house made pistachio syrup (which was in the sweet foam). That part was really good. I wanted the drink to be a little sweeter, but over all the drink itself at this visit was 3/5 for me. The shop was beautiful, vibrant, fun and lot of beautiful artwork and tons of plants! I love that it's supper inclusive and LGBTQ friendly. I'd come back and try other drinks.. and maybe ask for it a little sweeter next time :)

My iced chai latte was delicious! Perfect degree of spice.  I was offered whole, oat, or soy milk. I appreciate that the ice is very small--keeping the drink cold more efficiently and making it easier to drink. Also, drinks are served lidless; the lids sit across from the counter. I was able to consume my drink and choose not to waste a lid. Of course I'm sure it's for efficiency. Service was delightful. I asked for a chai tea latte and commented that I was apparently being redundant (chai and tea).  Resulted in a charming exchange. I'm happy I stopped in after my movie next door. I'll be by again.

I've passed by this coffee shop one too many times. I finally decided to go in and try it out while I did some studying for school. Firstly, I got a matcha latter with lavender syrup, and it was good! Nothing extravagant just your typical matcha. The service was fast and I enjoyed the merch they had by the register. Overall really enjoyed the vibes here. Even when they got really busy it never truly felt too overcrowded. There is a lot of space inside and out. Bonus for me was the music selection, I loveeeedddd the playlist they had while I was there (Laufey)

An Austin classic hip coffee shop with comfy seats and excellent coffee. Loved my Cortado and you can't go wrong with a little Tacodeli taco which they also serve. Yum!

Stopped by for a hot single origin cortado on my way out of town. I love how warm and welcoming it always feels here, no matter who is working. Also, remember epoch has gift-able Christmas merch for purchase in store as well as gift cards. Perfect for the espresso lovers in your life-

We used to come here, got derailed and ventured out to different places over the years. Finally got back here and it's lovelier than I remember. They took the tables out of the center of the main room, so it's roomier. The patio is great, and we're glad to be back. The birthday latte held promise but I wish I had the mocha, my first love.

Such a great location with so many sweet barista's to caffeinate you. I love their Cortado's and espresso.

I really like Epoch Coffee, I get their mojo which is really good. The vibe is also really chill in the cafe, ppl just hang out they have some board games

Came here for a morning meeting and asked for a chai apple spice. It's not on the menu. Nbd, I'll get something else. No. The barista made it happen. A warm, spicy hug in a mug. Also, the cardamom pillow pastry??? Where can you EVER find cardamom? Delicious. Great vibes, plenty of space to relax or get some work done. This specific location is a bit farther away from my place but it might become my go-to.

The blueberry matcha latte and an iced caramel cold brew so so yummy !! Very generous size for a great price also a great outdoor seating area and a spacious indoor area for studying and what not :)

Oh my goodness. The coffee was so delicious. I unfortunately did not get to try any baked goods. My server was very kind and attentive to my order, and I loved the boutique ambiance.

Cute coffee shop! I needed a place to get some work done and get my coffee fix. I ordered a latte with oat milk and blueberry scone. Both were delicious but my latte could have been a bit hotter. This place has plenty of tables inside and outside to enjoy your coffee and get work done. It does get incredibly loud so bring headphones if you need to quietly focus.

Friendly service. Great snacks. Relatively comfortable...would prefer a wingback chair to sit in while drinking tea and catching up on emails

Out of towners and we stumbled across this place while vintage shopping. We came back daily for our caffeine fix. Best coffee hands down. Try the iced horchata!!! Ambiance is everything - both inside and out.

Love this place so much. It's a wonderful hideaway from the hustle and bustle around you. They make delicious coffee drinks and have some pretty tasty snackage as well. They have super friendly servers and even a place to dine outback that you'd never know they had! Stop in and enjoy some peace and a good cup of coffee or whatever your favorite morning beverage is, this place is a gem.

Plenty of parking in the plaza, this eccentric cafe has all your morning needs. I tried their pillow in everything, amazing little pastry puff filled with cream cheese and covered in everything seasoning. Also their barista was so kind! Besides all the American breakfast pastries, I was also happy to discover some tamales! I'll definitely be returning for a coffee with a friend :)

Service is horrible, everyone has an attitude! Coffee isn't good and the matcha doesn't even taste like matcha, absolutely gross!

I was in the area in need of a coffee and Epoch was one of the first to pop up in my search so I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The atmosphere is literally the definition of cozy coffee shop. It's serene, well spaced out, and seems like the perfect place to work or hangout for the day. I got an iced lavender vanilla oat milk latte and it was great. You can tell the coffee is high quality and the staff was very attentive. I didn't grab any food, but there were plenty of pastry options and I also noticed they had breakfast tacos. I definitely plan on going back and bringing my laptop next time to work the morning with a latte and breakfast! COVID Precautions: All staff and customers are required to wear masks, hand sanitizer was available, and all tables/areas were clearly cleaned/sanitized.

No just no. Its an ok coffee shop if you want to buy and qet a quick exit ....and yes they put the pretty designs on the latte but.... its not starbucks. It is Not Summermoon. It is not as clean as it should be. They play hard core rock music very loud at 9am and won't turn it down no matter how nice you ask. Floor needs a good cleaning. Chairs and Salas really need to be replaced or cleaned. The staff reflect the interior appearance....a bit grundgy. Not one smile. For me this is not it. So, If you want a nicer experience where you can have coffee in the early morning, study or talk not shout at your friends, then am I am very sorry to give a 1 star ... but ..... this is not the place. Recommend alternative shops for early morning coffee. Not this Epoch location.

Wanted to try epoch, but was skeptical as few of the reviewers mentioned about loud music and not so good WiFi. When we entered, I was expecting a loud music but it wasn't. After few minutes it was bit loud and again it went down. Asked about WiFi to the person who took our order, he told, they don't have a password, just connect it, and he mentioned if we want 5g speed to sit nearer to patio, my husband was working and WiFi was good. They had few pastries and tacos from taco deli available, we ordered cappuccino, drip coffee, tacos. I loved my cappuccino with cute art, my husband dint like is coffee much. Service was ok, if you're in the area, give it a try.

Staff is friendly, coffee is good. Not a lot of food options, and around 9am they blast heavy music. I'm into that kind of music, but not when I'm trying to focus on my work. Cool place to go with friends, but don't expect to get much done in the morning.

I have no complaints about the coffee or food offered here. I usually get an iced mojo at whichever location I go to. The turkey sandwich was fine. The barista was preparing the drinks at a great pace and was friendly. My issue with this location is that the wifi is terrible. How are you going to be a coffee shop in this day and age with spotty wifi AT BEST? Epoch and Epoch 5G are both unsecure connections. When I tried to connect to both from my laptop and phone, it wouldn't work. My phone wasn't able to obtain the IP address for either the first few tries, so it basically couldn't connect to the network. It was successful after 4 attempts and then the connection dropped after one minute. My laptop was able to connect but kept saying no internet. I asked the barista and he said that if there are too many devices on the network, you basically can't connect. Y'all, I think there were less than 10 people in and around the shop connected to the network. How is this possible? I already paid for my order and everything. If I'd known this ahead of time, I would've left before ordering to go to another coffeeshop that I could actually work in!

This place is way cooler than I am. I could hang out and drink Chai Tea everyday! They have vegan breakfast tacos that are perfect with a spicy sauce. I love the added kick of cinnamon and spices on top of the Chai tea Latte! The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Great food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere. Nice spot to meet friends or if you're alone. The back patio area is really pretty too

Just had to hop on here and say this hot lavender matcha is just perfect. Not too hot. Just right. The crew here have been pleasant the couple of times we have visited. There is plenty of seating to meet up with a friend or just to get a little work done. We appreciate the variety of music. We look forward to the next time we are in the area.

This is definitely one of my favorite coffee bars for several reasons - the coffee is excellent, the ambiance is lovely, and I love the music selection of this place! It's a great place to come for a quick coffee to go or to sit and chat with a friend for a while. My only reason for deducting a star is cleanliness and cleanliness of a very particular sort. This was a very unusual thing, but the last time I was there while sitting on the couch, I was adjusting my seated position and my hand slipped between the couch cushions.... right into a million and a half crumbs. Absolutely disgusting. I realize that this is not a typical place to clean, but maybe just something to focus on as this location does serve food. Besides that, I really enjoy this place and especially am a fan of the lavender latte they make - absolutely phenomenal! So hopefully they clean the couches but just be careful when sitting in them until they do! I probably just won't be sitting on the couches. Update: I recently had the gluten free lemon poppyseed pound cake and wow....it was absolute perfection!

I've been going to Epoch consistently for about two years. Everyone is so kind and the coffee/tea is good no matter which way you want it. Their north loop location is open 24/7 and you rarely see that nowadays. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Texas mood swing weather had me needing/wanting something to help warm me up. I noticed this was on the way to my son's school so thought I would stop by. Strawberry banana bread? Yassssss. A prefect combination of both strawberry and banana. Their special right now is a strawberry shortcake latte. To reduce the level of sweet, they offered less syrup. They also substituted almond milk for me. This latte is sooooo good! Not too sweet and doesn't taste like that overpowering fake strawberry syrup. There is a great variety of breakfast items that you do not typically see at other bakeries.

Epoch Coffee offers great coffee, atmosphere, and service. Wide selection of teas and coffee options that you would expect to see at any quality coffee shop nowadays. They also offer delicious empanadas, Tacodeli breakfast tacos until 11am, and baked goods. Beyond the excellent food and drink choices, Epoch offers a wonderful atmosphere with spacious interior and exterior seating, large tables to spread out by yourself or with a group, bar seating, and a communal lounge area with a selection of books and board games. Unlike some reviewers, I have never had an issue finding seating for myself at this location. Epoch Coffee also supports the Austin community. They have a bulletin board outside of the bathrooms featuring local artists and events. Today, they had flyers with information on what you can do to stop the execution of Rodney Reed, an inmate who has been on death row in Texas despite shaky evidence since 1998. Every time I come here there is a new set of local artist artwork on the walls. Nothing like a coffee shop that supports the local community. Epoch Coffee provides everything I look for in a coffee shop: deliciousness, quality service, and a community-driven purpose. Check them out if you need a caffeine fix and are in town.

I have always enjoyed Epoch's coffee and like to go there to get work done. Unfortunately, I have now had to pack up and go somewhere else on multiple occasions because they blare screamo music so loud I can't concentrate. Moreover, the staff will scream along with the music. It was so loud and sudden at one point that it actually startled me and made me jump. Please keep the environment calmer and more conducive to a cafe and not a jam session.

Centrally located, with ample parking this spot usually has a constant flow of customers. There is indoor seating as well as patio seating at the back of the shop. It's a great place to complete some work or study. It's an even better place to chill out and read a bit along with a coffee. The pot of tea is something I like to order and sip on. It is not that common to find.

Busy even during midday tells you this place rocks! We sat at the bar and enjoyed the perfectly made coffee. They have seating outside but today was a bit chilly. Get any type of coffee drink, breakfast bites or even Tacodeli breakfast tacos.

One place that gets espressos right... Always in a mug, always with a spoon- ( sorry Starbucks, I can't handle coffee in a plastic coated paper cup ) Good place to study ; music selection is usually okay ;)

I love this place, their coffee is amazing and their staff is always so nice! They also have pretty cool art hanging in the walls that are for sell as well.

From the outside it looks like it is going to be a small coffee shop, but then looks can be deceiving. The place is quite spacious, plenty of places to sit and relax with your coffee. The barista is very knowledgeable and suggested a great single origin espresso for the hubby. My mocha tasted great with very cute latte art. Highly recommend this place.

This place is what I think of when I think coffee shop. It was full but not packed. People were there for all sorts of reasons, all kinda minding their own business but not necessarily in closed off way, more like a college library kind of way. As for the coffee I got an iced coffee and it was exactly what I hoped it would taste like

This Epoch is a great study spot, much more work-oriented than the other location. The wifi is pretty reliable, but finding an outlet can be hit or miss. There is this really strange thing that happens to me sometimes there where the staff picks to play hard rock pretty loud... like this has happened on multiple occasions while I'm studying there. I can dig some hard rock, but geez they couldn't play it any louder!

I would say this place was pretty good! I got the mojo which was really good! And hubby got an iced cold brew which was really good also! Not disappointed with this place at all! It was a nice and quiet atmosphere ! The employees seemed to be really helpful and nice! And I did let them know they were running low on creamer! Again, great service and definitely a place I'd go back to.
