The Best Bars in Athens for Wine, Tapas, and Acropolis Views | Condé Nast Traveler

"Part tapas bar, part wine bar, this cozy, candlelit spot—owned by six friends with ties to Sifnos and Volos—blends a Greco-Gallic wine list with the tsipouradika tradition of serving complimentary small plates with drinks; surprise dishes might include oysters or gravlax. With classic Thonet chairs and round marble tables the packed interior radiates warmth, and while reservations need planning, walk-ins at the bar are possible and it also opens for a relaxed lunch." - Rachel Howard, Katie Silcox

17 Best Things to Do in Athens, From Hitting the Beach to Gazing at Ruins | Condé Nast Traveler

"The flirty scene here is as much about the surprise sharing plates that land with every round as it is about the natural wines—drinking that feels like a party." - Rachel Howard

A nice place with good vibes, tasty food and a great wine list. Service is friendly and attentive. The only downside is that street parking is difficult. I would visit again

Cool and popular natural wine bar with food, beer and cocktail options. Liked it. Wine prices were good, too. Nice choices under €30 and some fun bottles if you like to spend more

This place is exceptional. Trendy (but not in a bad way). Everyone, including the staff, seem to be having a great time. The food is excellent. A respectful tip towards regular Greek food but elevated to a different level by the chef's imagination and skill. All at extremely reasonable prices. Our selection of 3 mezze and 2 a la carte dishes was pretty much perfect (We were hungry, and I'm a big eater but even I had to leave a bit uneaten). Special mention though goes to the wines, and the simply excellent Jason, their sommelier. A super friendly guy but extremely knowledgeable about the wines and will make excellent recommendations according to your tastes. Believe the positive press reviews and make the short trip outwith the usual tourist areas. Definitely worth the effort.

This restaurant offers a fantastic variety of delicious dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. While the beer selection may not be extensive, the focus on wine compensates for it. The staff is attentive and friendly. Every dish we tried was exceptional in both flavor and texture, with the only slight disappointment being the brownie, which would have been elevated with a side of ice cream. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend this establishment.

We had late dinner there and we loved it! The staff were super attentive and helpful. The food, the wine and the whole vibe made for an unmissable experience. Highly recommended!

This place is just amazing! We had 4 days in Athens and went to a lot of casual fine dining places, wine bars and cocktail places: line, pharao and wine is fine, just to name a few. In my opinion this place is the clear winner. Absolutely fair prices, an amazing neighbourhood and a beautiful location and design. What stood out the most was the service we got, especially from Jason who is the sommelier of epta martyres. This guy is just amazing! Super friendly, funny and cool guy. Good expertise of the wine they offered. Thank you Jason, you made our trip so good and we had a blast with you. This place is a MUST VISIT.

Always an excellent value for money place. Good vibes, good service and chef's inspiration drive an amusing night for locals and international people.

Big disappointment in this one. I’m not into leaving a negative review unless the place is really worth one. I have had this overhyped wine bar on my list for around a year now. We passed numerous times by there and it was overly crowded, so we chose instead other places around. What makes it worthy of a negative review, though, is the two times that we actually found free tables to sit. The first time, there were 2 empty tables, without any signage of being reserved. We were greeted, asked what we came for and immediately heard that the place is full, so we had to leave. Second time was today. We came, found a quiet free table and sat. The waiter came after a couple of minutes to inform us that there’s space only inside, while he claimed he had no time to prepare the table, as it was reserved. From now on, we will make sure to let everyone know about the repulsive politics of this bar.
