I got the vanilla latte with vanilla cold foam, habibi latte and shakerato. All of the drinks were absolutely delicious. The coffee it’s very smooth and good quality. They sell coffee beans that are single origin. The entire vibes inside is very cool with the surf boards.

Google
We’ve been here once before, and my husband really enjoys their coffee and almond croissant, so this time we tried a coffee along with almond and chocolate croissants. Everything was fresh and delicious! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a cozy spot worth revisiting.

Google
Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only. ☺️ By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. While i am delighted to see that you are a B lab member who is working at chipping away at his problem, I was kind of sad to see that most of the folks in here working or meeting with friends are drinking out of single-use to-go cups. I understand that the to-go cups you provide are technically compostable, but without any real composting infrastructure on site, these will go straight to the landfill or ocean as well. It looks like you just have one trashcan collecting everything, and just because something is “compostable” doesn’t mean it actually gets processed as such. I wonder if to start, you could better communicate to folks who are staying to have their coffee that they have the reusable option of the mug. Maybe it’s as simple as asking, are you going to be having your coffee here? I also wonder if you might be able to provide a separate receptacle for the compostable cups. And work with some entity in the county to pick up said composting. I love that you don’t sell any plastic bottled water, so kudos on that! And if my observations are wrong, then I stand corrected! But I think as a surf-related, ocean-adjacent, B lab coffee shop, you could interact with customers accordingly to make sure they are aware of—and are normalizing—the for-here, reusable option. Thank you for your consideration, and for the delicious coffee!

Google
Latte was excellent 👌 very cool vibe. Hope to get there for the fantastic coffee and purchase a T-shirt.

Google
Almond croissant is the best I’ve ever had! Very rich. Also got the habibi latte. Would 100% go back!

Google
Been going here since they opened years and years ago. Quality has stayed top tier. Equator is excellent. Love their breve cappuccino. Decent pastry selection. Friendly and helpful staff this morning. Thank you all. Sometimes has long waits when they get busy, but 💯 worth the wait

Daniel G.

Google
Great place to stop for a coffee before going cruising on highway 1. They nail the surf shop/coffee shop vibe. Seating available outside to enjoy the Sun. My iced cappuccino was delicious. My order was made fairly quickly considering how busy they were.

Tori W.

Google
Staff didn’t greet or smile, I was judged for my drink order so loudly my friend heard. The matcha is tasteless/watery. I wanted to love it because it seems to be such a popular spot in town but I would never come again

Yelp
Stopped by Equator coffees in Mill Valley before our hike as it was one of the few places open early in the morning. There was a decent amount of parking available & we were quickly able to order / get our coffee even though there were a few people ahead of us already. We got the Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Shakerato, Cardamom & Chocolate Fika Bun, & The Habibi Latte which were all great. There was a good amount of seating outside as well which was set up really nice / looked cute. Also, after visiting I learned Equator is a BCorp and actually the first B Corp roaster in CA. Love supporting a business whose food not only tastes good but who also does good for the community!

Yelp
Food: - Items: Red Velvet Matcha Latte, Habibi Latte - The red velvet matcha latte was not great, it left a weird aftertaste in my mouth and the red velvet part I could barely taste (3/10) - The Habibi Latte was much better, I could definitely taste some more spices and was overall much more enjoyable, which I would hope since they advertised it on a huge board right outside the shop (9/10) - 6/10 Service: - The servers were nice and served our drinks pretty quick - 9/10 Ambiance: - It's a cute coffee shop in Mill Valley's downtown - Parking is decent although I imagine it would be hard during weekends - Nice interior, could definitely study there if you wanted to, although I'm not sure if there are a lot of plug points - 8/10 Overall Rating: 6.5/10

Yelp
Equator Coffees delivers delicious coffee and exceptionally good breakfast baked goods. This is for the Mill Valley location. For breakfast/brunch food, visit the Sausalito location. We stayed in Mill Valley for a couple of days and, for those who know me, coffee is the only thing on my mind from the time I wake up until I've had at least a 500ml dose. My doctor measures coffee level as a baseline indicator in my yearly blood panel. Well, I had my 500ml at the Mill Valley Equator Cafe and it was great, not good, GREAT coffee. If I didn't already have a coffee subscription delivered to my house, I would order Equator Coffee so take a bag home with you. The croissant I had tasted like it was made in Paris. Everything is clean and well run. Be prepared, this place is popular!

Yelp
We stopped by Equator Coffees on our way to hike Mount Tam, and the interior was very cute! I liked the surfboard on the ceiling, and the pastry selection looked super promising. I ordered the Autumn Spice Latte off the seasonal menu, which was ready pretty quickly. It was sufficiently strong, but the "Autumn Spice" flavor was pretty subtle. Staff members were friendly and cheerful despite the early time of day. Would return to try more items!

Yelp
Received a gift card to this regional coffee shop so thought I'd stop in this location before visiting friends nearby. What a delightful delicious experience! I was greeted with a friendly smile and patience, as I looked over the varied menu. I got a chai tea latte and savory pull apart muffin. The chai tea latte tasted like the perfect blend of spice and milk froth. The muffin had the tastiest combo of prosciutto, herbs, and veggies baked in. Was a delish experience on outdoor seating in the back where locals enjoyed lively fun conversation.

Yelp
Love coming to Equator Coffee! Their matcha latte is one of my favorites! They ask if you'd like the matcha latte sweetened or not, and I always get it sweetened; and then add the vanilla cold foam. The latte is so flavorful, and perfect amount of sweetness. Really enjoy coming here!

Yelp
Lovely service from knowledgeable baristas! Even lovelier coffee. I got the iced almond pride and joy and it is one of my new favorite coffees. That first sip feeling absolutely hit! Wonderful atmosphere to do work, catch up with friends, or make a roadtrip pit stop!

Yelp
We were in town and stopped by to get some coffee and a quick snack. I noticed on the reviews that this place was dog friendly. Side note,we had just taken my dogs to a local dog park. A lot of the reviews mentioned rude service,so I was a little hesitant. The girl taking our order was friendly and didn't say anything about us bringing our dogs inside. It's a small shop, but has plenty of seats, both inside and outside. We of ordered some iced lattes and a almond croissant. The croissant was surprisingly good for a coffee shop pastrie. It was filled with a thick layer of almond paste. The ice lattes were ok , little too much coconut flakes.

Yelp
Was heading to Muir Woods and needed a little caffeine boost beforehand. This place is centrally located right off the 1 freeway but it also means it's a bit hard to turn into depending on the direction you're coming from. They have some parking, we found a spot easily off to the side of the cafe. They have lots of baked goods, including locally sourced pastries like donuts and bagels. I got a seasonal iced shakerato, three shots of espresso w oat milk and brown sugar. I was a little surprised when my drink came out that there was so much room on top, but I guess that's just how they do things here. It was good and definitely not too sweet at all which I was worried about. Nicely balanced drink.

Yelp
Equator Coffee in Mill Valley is such a charming café! Their Swedish cinnamon buns are heavenly, and the matcha latte is my favorite treat. A perfect spot to relax, people-watch, and see bikers stopping by after a ride. They even have a complimentary coffee tasting coming up in November.
google avatar

Kyra K.

Yelp
Whenever I carpool with my coworker to work, we always grab coffee before heading into the office. He knew I'd never been to the Equator and suggested we stop here for a quick caffeine fix. I've only heard good things about Equator Coffees, so I looked forward to trying it! This is the original location of Equator Coffees. The atmosphere is mellow, with surfboards, photos of the ocean, and other nature decor. I enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere. Along with the ordering area, there's merchandise for sale, plus indoor and outdoor seating. Many customers were either chatting, working, or taking their drinks to go. Since it's a popular spot, the timeliness of drinks can vary. We didn't wait too long, and the service was overall lovely. I have always loved trying signature drinks, so I got The Habibi Latte with Oat Milk. The drink was phenomenal--a prominent orange blossom taste and smooth and creamy. Their coffees typically come in double shots, but I asked for a single shot. I'd order it again for sure! The only thing was the size of the drink. For paying $6.50 (without tip), I was pretty surprised the small was the size of my hand. The cup said 8oz, but I could've sworn the smalls were 10oz! For coffee lovers, Equator Coffees is nestled in Proof Lab in Tam Junction. Parking can be found behind the coffee shop. This is their first of many locations where the drinks and service are good. I'm glad we got our caffeine before work, and I wouldn't mind coming back!

Yelp
This place is right next to Hook Fish/ Proof Lab on Shoreline in Mill Valley. Parking can be tough and getting in/out as well since there's always traffics on that highway. When I went on a Sunday afternoon, there was a 10min wait to get my drink. I think they were short staffed or didn't anticipate on the crowd. I think a lot of the people came from waiting to get into the restaurant next door. That was the main reason I stopped in here for a coffee. I heard about Equator coffee but never had it. I ordered a mocha and it was really. The staff was nice. Nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend the coffee here. The place was cute. There's seating indoors and outdoors. Inside they have artwork on the walls by local artists. Seemed clean and bustling.

Yelp
Best latte I've ever had. Worst service I've ever had. The cashier taking our order was very rude and ultimately made us feel like the biggest inconvenience of her day. Otherwise, nice coffee shop, the vibes are really nice too.
google avatar

Carmen B.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way to Muir Woods for a wedding. Highly recommend the blueberry sage cold brew! Our drinks were prepared with precision and delivered promptly surprisingly fast. Casual, earthy, clean, comfortable and immensely cool. Great spot to relax. We will be back!

Christine L.

Yelp
First timer here; stopped by for morning coffee. Service wasn't great. We looked like we were their biggest annoyance simply by ordering coffee. The coffee was incredibly milked down, we didn't finish it. Skip this place, there's other coffee shops nearby.
google avatar

Claire B.

Yelp
Almond butter banana waffle was SCRUMPTIOUS. Avocado toast was yummy, maybe a little bit small. the mocha was great, but the matcha was mediocre (a little milky). Overall good vibe and atmosphere. A little slow but they were pretty busy.
google avatar

Paolo G.

Yelp
Got the signature Maple Black Sesame and some pastries. Delicious and a great drink to get the day started! However, the cashier in the morning was incredibly rude and glared at us right as we went up to the counter. Her attitude changed once the line picked up, which made us feel singled out. At least now we're awake.
google avatar

Alejandra F.

Yelp
This place it's really really nice in all aspects, has great environment, good sit down area, clean, organize, coffee is really good they grains from all over the world, their ice lattes are the beat; They also have a food menu very delicious. Staff is nice and fast, mornings they are pretty full but they are fast though.
google avatar

Kyle D.

Yelp
The cashier couldn't have been ruder. It's like we were interrupting her day by asking how she was doing and ordering a coffee. However, it was one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. Delicious coffee.
google avatar

Caroline H.

Yelp
I really want to like it here because its close to my house but time and time again the iced lattes are wayyy too milky. The one pictured was with an extra shot of espresso- so 3 shots total. And so milky i couldn't even taste the coffee. The cold brew here is okay
google avatar

George S.

Yelp
The BLAT sandwich is terrific. The house chai is very good. The coffees are great. Unfortunately all of it arrives so slowly and haphazardly that it's an irredeemably painful experience visiting at any time of day. I've never seen a less efficient ratio of "people ostensibly making things" to "things being made". It doesn't matter whether the place is busy or empty, or which of the two dozen half-hearted order management strategies they're deploying that day: your drink is going to take an extremely long time to arrive. There will be no explanation or apology. That's just how it is.
google avatar

Mariela V.

Yelp
A solid coffee and breakfast spot! Very impressed by their savory breakfast items. Have tried their .. -croissant breakfast sandwich, comes with side of their delicious equator hot sauce (10/10) - Farmers breakfast. Good potatoes, bacon, bread, well seasoned everything - Chimichurri steak sandwich, cooked to perfection Their coffee is equally good as well. They have lots of baked goods, lots of room indoors and outdoors with different rooms to sit at. This is a Sausalito must visit for me since I've discovered it. Good job Equator!
google avatar

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick afternoon pick me up - ended up getting a cold lavender foam cream coffee and a cherry blossom matcha. Both were delicious - I love lavender and the foam was truly delicious, tasted very natural and not overly sweet or fake. The cherry blossom was also quite tasty although one of my friends that tasted it said it was reminiscent of wax. I didn't think it tasted overly sweet or fake. Would get another coffee from here if we're in the area!
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Really good coffee, cool vibe, and nice staff. It's my favorite spot to grab a coffee and hang out
google avatar

Bjorn t.

Yelp
A bit more consistent of an equator than others I've been to when it comes to their espresso drinks. Perfectly located for after a long run, big bike ride or hiking. Ample outdoor seating. Fast service-- can't go wrong.
google avatar

Jon S.

Yelp
Stopped in after c tough ride up and over from San Francisco. Loved how bike-friendly it was and adored the vegan BLAT!
google avatar

Brandon O.

Yelp
fast service. great coffee and cool surf vibes. Grand start to the trip to San Francisco
google avatar

Yelp
Cute shop with pastries, breakfast and coffee. My favorite coffee shop to drop by on my way to any hikes in Mount Tam or any beaches nearby. The bathroom is always clean (and a good place to go if you want to avoid the pit toilets on trails). Despite the lines and small parking lot, coffee comes out quickly and you can get on with your day.
google avatar

Mireya M.

Yelp
Absolutely love this coffee shop!! I always stop here when going to do hikes at mount tamalpais! The coffee shop is super small and cozy on the side of the road! The coffee itself is super smooth and delicious flavor! I love that they have dog treats as your leaving which is always a plus for dog friendly restaurants!
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
Solid coffee! I love this cute little coffee shop up in Mill Valley. The drinks are consistent and they have a great array of drink options. I had the chai tea latte and it was great! I am a fan of spicy chai and it was on the spicier side (could've been spicier but it was good) but was impressed because most places are just super sweet. I also had a lavender vanilla latte with almond milk and it was great! I would do a different milk as the almond flavor overtook but still a win.
google avatar

Georgia R.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop! Ordered a matcha shakerato before going out to hike at Mount Tam and it was the perfect caffeine boost. So smooth, creamy & delicious and loved the atmosphere. And they even have little dog treats to give to your pup! Great spot to visit when you're out in the north bay!
google avatar

Angel D.

Yelp
Good coffee. Very helpful and very kid-friendly and for adults they have wine and beer
google avatar

Maryann E.

Yelp
Highly recommend the Roundhouse location if you are visiting from out of town. Cherry Blossom Matcha is a delight!
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
Fun, lively, ultra-busy-yet-efficiently-run coffee bar. Solid pastry game; baristas know their stuff. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
The parking lot is kinda tricky being an unpaved dirty road and shared with the surrounding businesses, so finding a spot is pretty competitive. The store is pretty small, with most of its seating placed outside as they're still very COVID-conscience. They don't have physical menus, the only one they had was the chalkboard located behind the cash register which was a but hard to read. I ended up looking at menu photos on yelp instead. The person taking my order was a bit rude- I was the only person in line, though I stood off to the side while trying to decide what to order, yet they asked me to wait outside if I wasn't ordering anything. Once you place your order, you wait outside in the outdoor patio area for them to place your drink on a table near their side-door. I got a vanilla iced latte with less ice- it was a good amount of sweet but comes with a lot of ice (even though I asked for light ice.) Love the coffee- it was strong without giving me the jitters that I usually get with strong beans.

Yelp
Equator has consistently been on my list of the best Bay Area roasters! I'll stop by this location in particular when hiking around Mill Valley or if I'm just driving by. ___The Good___ And there is much to like! 1) For starters, Equator provides a quality cup of coffee without much of the pretentiousness you'll find in some other places. Have a sip! Their coffee is very good. They know and understand where their coffee beans are grown, who grows them, and what methods are used. I'll usually order a pour-over coffee and have yet to be disappointed. 2) A portion of certain purchases goes directly to some good causes. Some of the money I spent on pour-over coffee has gone to orphans in Zimbabwe and cervical cancer screenings. Moreover, when you purchase certain bags of coffee, a portion of that goes to select local restaurants affected by the pandemic. 3) They also offer some interesting lattes. My girlfriend ordered the habibi (orange blossom, cardamom, clove, vanilla syrup, 2 shots espresso & steamed milk) and loved it, though I thought it was overly floral. 4)Their pastries are good. I am particularly fond of the morning buns. ___The Bad___ Of course, there are a few things I dislike. 1) This particular location has a limited menu, so don't come here expecting to order the breakfast frittata sandwich (even though their website indicates Mill Valley should have this available). You're probably better off looking at yelp photos, calling them ahead of time, or just plain passing by to see what's available). 2) Subpar breakfast burritos. I mean, I suppose they are ok if you are a child, but it won't be particularly filling for full-grown adults. Furthermore, I'll get quite a few bites that are mostly tortilla (see photo). Moreover, while an employee claimed that their red salsa was spicy, neither myself not my girlfriend detected any heat. We tried both the red and the green salsas and thought they were the same spice level. She (a San Diego native) thought of the salsas as more gazpacho than actual salsa. If you must order a burrito, I thought their steak was much better than their bacon/egg/cheese. 3) Limited parking. ___COVID-19 Updates___ Currently, you enter through the back of the building, place your order at the register, and pick up at the long surfboard/table in the front patio.

Isaac S.

Yelp
My cold brew tasted like a cup of sweat. The farmers breakfast was lowkey alright tho.

Geni S.

Yelp
Thank you Monica, Alex, Marco, and Gabe for the excellent service and letting me borrow your computer charger!! The food is delicious and house made chai is 10/10. Great spot to camp (sunshine! good music! tables outside!) while waiting to pick up my doggo from AlphaDog.
google avatar

Kathryn Y.

Yelp
I was in the area with friends attempting to visit Muir Woods. We turned back due to all the signs saying you need a reservation to park, which, we didn't have, and we ended up next to this coffee spot. It's a cute little red building that smelled like roasted coffee. Mmm. They have social distancing protocols in place for ordering with plastic shields in front of the counter. The spot seemed popular too as most of the food items were crossed off as not available. The coffee was delicious! Cheers to all and more happy adventures in San Francisco to come! Yes yes, I know, this was Mill Valley. But close to the city. Happy thanksgiving to everyone!

J F.

Yelp
Great service, great coffee, and great location. Excellent outdoors. Motorcycle and bicycle riders be aware that the way out does go over some gravel.
google avatar

Misha T.

Yelp
Not that we dont' have equator coffees in other parts of the bay area but it does feel like a mandatory mill valley stop if I'm in that part of marin. The coffee is always solid and my recent cheddar scallion scone was really quite good too.
google avatar

Sylvia Y.

Yelp
Came here for a late morning drink. I got the White peony hot tea. Yummy! I like that the tea came in a large cup. Worth the price. COVID measures were also in place (social distancing stickers, plexiglass between employees etc). I'll be back!
google avatar

Anneliese D.

Yelp
They gave me decaf instead of regular. Not sure why, i definitely didn't ask for decaf. Cute little coffee shop, but didn't get what i came for.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
Visited this cute coffee shop after walking the dogs near the beautiful trail area. Service was great and fast and bathrooms was very clean which is always a plus! Lots of different coffee options and pastries you can choose from to enjoy. Definitely a must stop by if you're in the area! Can't wait to come back when its warmer with the dogs to enjoy their cute patio.

Christina R.

Yelp
Their service is awful. I've come here twice now and each time the woman working the register is so incredibly rude, and acts like I am inconveniencing her by ordering a coffee. Will not be returning
google avatar

Peter P.

Yelp
one of the best coffee shops in SF, delicious flavorful coffee. they roast in house and sell beans. The coffee is well prepared and the staff working there are welcoming and friendly. they have a little seating area outside in the front. a good value solid coffee for the price
google avatar

Ida S.

Yelp
I got to try this place out today while being in the area. This coffee shop is definitely a small coffee shop with no indoor seating but definite has outdoor seating space. This coffee shop is a coffee lovers paradise because I truly feel like their menu caters to coffee lovers. My husband and I are tSA drinkers but still found something for ourselves. I had a chai almond chai that was iced and he had a cherry limeade. My chai was honestly a lot less sweeter than I am use to but it was still good and my husband liked his cherry limeade. The shop had a augers these and I saw a lot of mention of the Katin on the walls. The staff was friendly and truly quick and efficient with the orders. The pastries looked amazing but didn't get to try! I will have to next time!

Ashley W.

Yelp
I went here for afternoon coffee and got the shakerato. Very creamy and not too sweet, I still think about it even a week later. It's not watered down either even with it being shaken to chill. Parking is not the best in the afternoon so just beware.
google avatar

Frank F.

Yelp
Coffee good, croissant not so much Ordered a croissant with my coffee. Not the quality I am used to certainly was not fresh! I know my pastry, this one was tough, dry and spongy. Love me some flaky almost crispy on the tips, tender and buttery. My bad I should have just returned it . Please monitor your day old stuff. I'll be back
