Extremely disappointing stay – ruined my belongings due to mould! We had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel and would not return. Our room was located on the ground floor directly opposite the pool, which meant there was absolutely no privacy. The curtains were far too narrow to cover the full window, so anyone walking by could see straight into our room. We ended up using a chair to hold the curtains together just to feel somewhat comfortable – completely unacceptable. The room also had a strong, persistent smell of mould, which was truly awful. It wasn’t just a minor issue – the smell soaked into our things, and now, over a month after returning home, some of our clothes and bags still stink of mould. I can live without the clothes, but I had very expensive bags with me that are now completely ruined – I’ve tried everything, but the smell won't go away. To make things worse, the wardrobe only had two hangers, so there was no proper way to unpack or hang up our clothes. For a hotel that claims to offer a comfortable stay, this felt incredibly basic and poorly thought out. And as if that wasn’t enough, on one of the nights there was no water at all – no warning, no explanation, and no apology. Just completely unacceptable. I rarely write negative reviews, but this stay was beyond disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone – especially if you value your belongings, comfort, or basic standards of hospitality.

I had an amazing stay at Era in Tulum! The hotel offers a unique, serene atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of Tulum. The design is stunning, with local touches that make the space feel both luxurious and authentically connected to the area. The staff was incredibly friendly, always going above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. The spa facilities, especially the cold plunge and sauna, were perfect for relaxation. The food and drinks were fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Argentinian lady at the front desk was super helpful and lovely! This is a hotel in a great location, with spacious rooms that don't get hot during the day. Superb cocktail bar just next to the entrance. During my visit, the hotel's wifi was not great, so if you are working remotely, check out Nuud cafe just around the corner, reliable wifi for calls.

I had a last minute booking and was a little stranded in Tulum for a day. I booked here and as soon as I walked in felt so at ease. Jumped into the refreshing pool. The Argentinian lady at the front desk was so sweet and hospitable. The room was clean & decorated nicely and the shower was excellent! The location is right off a road with nice restaurants and shopping. As well had a good little taco stand for those like me who like my street vendors!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Era Hotel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The customer service was top-notch, with Teresa and Katy going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. The location couldn't have been better, situated in the heart of Tulum, with easy access to restaurants and bars. And let's talk about the hotel itself - it was truly beautiful, with stunning architecture, and nice amenities. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

“My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was on the ground floor with a window door as the entrance, but upon arrival, I discovered the lock was broken, making it impossible to secure properly. The curtain was too small to cover the entire window, forcing me to use clips and chairs for privacy. The layout was also very inconvenient—the shower was practically next to the bed, and the toilet door had large openings at the top and bottom, offering little to no privacy. There were no clothes hangers provided, making it difficult to store my belongings. Additionally, there was no TV in the room, and on the second day, there was no running water at all. We asked to change room, but the staff told us the only option was to upgrade to a more expensive room. The bicycles provided by the hotel were extremely old, with rusty chains.

My husband & I stayed here for one night (we were in Mexico for a wedding in Cancun). I read the reviews and wanted to check this hotel out for myself, and it did NOT disappoint! |The room was nice. There are no TVs in the rooms, and you honestly don't miss not having one. We didn't even notice right away. |After our long flight we were going to shower and hit the town, but when we turned on the shower, the shower head wasn't working. We went to the office, and they were extremely apologetic and said they would send someone to fix it. The maintenance person came and was unable to fix it. They then would out to purchase a brand-new showerhead for us (the room). The service was five stars! |The pool area is nice and relaxing, and the beds slept like a dream. I would definitely stay here again.||
