A New Music Venue Is Taking Over the Greek Cusina Space | Eater Portland

One of the First Willamette Valley Wineries Is Opening a Tasting Room in the Pearl District | Eater Portland

"I'm able to drink Willamette Valley pinots in Erath's new Pearl District tasting room, which replaces its closed Dundee Hills tasting room after the lease ended; the timing allowed the team to renovate a Pearl District warehouse while restaurants were shuttered. Known as one of the Willamette Valley’s first pinot noir producers, the colorful space mixes geometric design touches with exposed brick and unfinished wood and pops of cerulean, turquoise, and brassy golds, and a custom light fixture over the bar spells out “Dundee” in curly letters as a nod to its origins. During social distancing the bar is closed for casual tasting, but the room is taking reservations for parties under six with strict safety protocols—tasting spaces will be sanitized between customers and staff receive temperature checks—and will offer flights with cheese pairings sourced from local cheesemakers (for instance, the lightly oaked Le Choix Chardonnay paired with Portland Creamery chevre and pear-hazelnut pate). Flights and pairings will change over time; customers can also fill growlers with pinot gris or noir and take home bottles. Reservations are being taken for opening day, September 10, by calling (503) 538-3318 or visiting the website." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

We came all the way from Tampa Bay, FL for this experience and were welcomed with warm smiles and service. The host and sommelier were helpful and knowledgeable. The interior is well put together and cozy. We don’t get all the varieties of Erath in Florida so it was nice to try them here at the tasting room!

Google
Our group of four had a fantastic time at the Erath Winery Urban Tasting Room in Portland's Pearl District. Our host was genial and informative, and our flights of wine (plus bonus pours) were excellent. We had a nice cheese board to complement the wine as well. This tasting experience was a great way to get to know more about Oregon wines while having a fun and relaxed afternoon inside a beautiful tasting room. We highly recommend a visit!

While escaping the Palm Springs summer heat, we are visiting Portland for a week. Erath was one of our first weekend stops, and we're so thankful we did. While the entire team was incredible (wine, snacks, space, conversation), Zoe led our tasting room experience like a boss and was personable, funny, and kind. They shared so much product knowledge and really helped us understand about Oregon and Williamette Valley wines. After time in the tasting room, we enjoyed a glass on their patio, which is the converted loading dock of their historic warehouse space. So cool! Stop by for a tasting - you won't be disappointed. And if you can snag a tasting with Zoe, you'll be in luck. Thank you!

Google
Oregon is renowned for its Pinot Noir, and Erath is one of the names that helped put Oregon on the global wine map. The story behind Erath Winery is inspiring—an engineer who turned his passion into a legacy, pioneering Oregon’s wine industry by planting Pinot Noir grapes in the Dundee Hills back in 1969. This dedication to the region’s terroir and history shines through in every glass. We visited the tasting room in downtown Portland and were introduced to some of their reserve wines. As non-experts, we were pleasantly surprised by how smooth and fruity the Pinot Noir was—it was exactly to our taste and just right for special occasions. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to take a case home, especially with the perk of free shipping anywhere in the U.S. if you fly with Alaska Airlines! We can’t wait to share these wines with family and friends over Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you’re looking for quality Oregon wine with a story behind it, Erath Winery is a must-visit!

Google
The tasting room was warm and inviting, with a comfortable sofa as well as single seats all beautifully made. The music was quietly enjoyable, fitting the rustic vibe of the space. Our host was kind and friendly, serving us a few flights of the excellent wine, along with a delicious cheese, spread, nuts & flatbread platter.

Google
Go here for a wine tasting! I was looking for a bright, modern, earthy, relaxing spot and this was exactly it. Spent a good hour and a half here talking to the staff about the wines/life. Great wines and overall atmosphere.

Priscilla M.

Google
Tina very pleasant Yet Not as good service as in the past with Bree and Gene Reservations made, table was dirty and not set up , service slow Long wait for tastings and a reminder was needed after nearly an hour forces Charcuterie board Also if note, at the pick up party I went to the desk and ordered one half case of Pinot She charged me and included a 20 per cent tip. Another customer was standing there so I did not make an issue But, called the next day..I did not think it appropriate !!! Have so enjoyed our visits in the past

Google
We loved our tasting experience here with a widely known wine. It was fancy and chic with a great sommelier interaction. Little bites of award winning cheeses was a great addition. Would recommend and visit again.

Yelp
Erath Winery had a large tasting room in the Pearl district and was not what I was expected when I walked in! They have a wonderful space with high ceilings and a great lounge area as you check in and then large tables in the back that are private. It does look like you can potentially rent out the space as well as there were curtains to create privacy. Came just for a tasting and if you enjoy your reds the tasting here is only $25 which is a pretty good deal. The pinots were enjoyable and they may share some specials that they may have in season too.

Yelp
Fruit of the vine! Wine and a good time tasting and chatting with the wine stewards while sitting at the bar. We learned alot about Erath farming and harvesting grapes while tasting two flights, the Terrior and the Estate. Mostly Pinot Noir which is what you would expect in the Willamette Valley. Also, a Chardonnay and dessert wine rounded out the tasting flights. Casual and contemporary inside with an elegant flair - lots of seating for small parties or very big parties. Very chill tasting wines without the enduring drive out to the Willamette Valley and driving under the influence of fruit of the vine.

Yelp
Erath was our first stop upon our arrival in Oregon! We had scheduled a wine tasting, but ended up being early, but the ladies working so graciously told us it was not a problem. Zoe was our assistant during our tasting! She was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge about Erath, wine, and Oregon! We loved the quaint location and experience, as well as the wine!! Zoe even gave us a complimentary tasting for one of their sister wineries we were visiting that same day! We highly recommend Erath for many reasons!! A great first stop for us!!

Yelp
A few years back (before COVID-19), I spent an afternoon at the Dundee area tasting room. That experience needed to be more robust, and the staff were rude and slow. Fast-forward to 2023 at the Pearl tasting room... and what an incredible experience! When you enter from the street, you are greeted with a warm ambience, plants, and quiet music that beckons you to the service counter. I was impressed with the design of the space and the curated seating areas, which all seemed to be slightly different. The team (clearly) put immense care into a space that adapts to different needs, experiences, and potential guests. After being seated, the staff was fantastic. Since this was my first time here, they spent a ton of time explaining possible experiences, and we ended up settling for the blind-tasting expertise and one of the AVA flights. This was a phenomenal experience since your palette opens up to learn more about the wines, varietals, and more with this double tasting. They have a perfectly executed food menu (in my opinion) that also welcomes you to try new foods and diets, especially when considering the Vegan Caviar... which is fantastic. Several food items would work for an array of people, showing the care and attention to detail the staff must have taken to create a space for everyone. I enjoyed the Willikaia Chardonnay the most, so I did leave with a few bottles, given that summer is around the corner. My only recommendation would be to add patio seating or to open up to the large windows and doors more often when the weather is pleasant. I look forward to returning with friends when folks come to visit. Thank you, Erath!

Yelp
My partner and I have belonged to the Erath cellar society since we moved to Portland two years ago. The wine flights are unparalleled and particularly the tasting bites that come with the cellar society limited release each quarter. Although they specialize in Pinot noir-- which they do exceptionally-- they have a tart Chardonnay that refreshes your taste for the Oakes alternatives in California. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the interior is cozy and inviting. If you're feeling a bit peckish I'd highly recommend their boards. The vegan board is my favorite with locally made dairy free alternatives.

Bella W.

Yelp
Incredible service, beautifully crafted wines, delicious food options, and the whole environment of the tasting room was so welcoming and rustic. It felt like a New York loft with very knowledgeable staff. I work in the wine industry in southern Oregon and have not had service this impressive in a very long time. Will absolutely come back! Huge shout out to our server Claire for an unforgettable experience!

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my time tasting at this location, the wines were great, service and aesthetics. I would return again for sure, it's great for a girls day or a date.

Yelp
The new tasting room is beautiful! It's cozy and comfortable, has bar seating, a few tables and couch areas, as well as some private event spaces. We sat at the bar and ordered the Pino Nior tasting (of course) and the charcuterie board. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable and ended up pouring us some off menu wines for us to sample. Fair prices and a great membership program Cannot wait to go back with some girlfriends!

Yelp
Came here to sit at the bar and read on a weekend- ordered a glass of Pinot from their "on tap" selection. The wine was okay, but I was charged $20 for a 4oz pour. As industry this seemed a little off, but you're better off grabbing a bottle of Erath from Safeway for $11 and enjoying it at home/a park nearby.

Yelp
Hello, not really a review but a memory. I was a little girl maybe 2nd grade. I lived on Kingsgrade Road in yamhill. Next door to me. ( Hippie as my Grandmother called him moved in. He was going to grow grapes and make wine. My grandma said he's from California. It was a small unevened foundation of a home. Not much to look at. Dick gave my grandmother his first bottle. To this day we have Erath wine, one of his first or first. I am 65 today. We all laugh at that story.

Yelp
I came here with a few friends after an Exhibit at the art museum. I'd previously visited their former tasting room in Dundee years ago and it was a so-so experience. The wine wasn't memorable, and the space was outdated. In truth, I had a gift certificate from a co-worker and wanted to share the spoils of it with my small group this time around. The experience this time however, was much better than I had anticipated. The tasting room is a nice blend of industrial ( concrete, metal) and lots of warm wood (the beautiful bar top and tables really warm up the space). Our tasting experience also included some chocolate and cheese boards, which really worked with the wines we tasted. We are big on Pinot (would be criminal to say otherwise in this town). Erath did not disappoint. The stuff we tasted from Willakia and Bishop Creek was especially delicious. The service was friendly and not intrusive. We know what it can feel like to be smothered, especially when out tasting in the valley. Our wine consultant was really great at taking a step back to let us taste on our own. We really appreciated it. We ended up buying a case of wine and some other goodies from their gift section. I love being surprised and Erath really provided me with that. It isn't often we make it back into the Pearl District but we will be visiting this tasting room in the future.

Yelp
Wow! Absolutely love this spot! We had the Wine Tasting Flight & Vegan Cheese Board, made with "cheese" from the local vegan cheese shop. All wines here are also vegan. Make sure to make a reservation so you can get your own comfy chair and couch area. However, it seems the reservation ends after about 2 hours, which we weren't aware of, so just plan accordingly and maybe look at the menu before you arrive. Really lovely atmosphere and would love to come back.

Yelp
the tasting room is nice. they offer 3 tasting flights. one is the artist series st michelle winery wines ... all of which can be purchased by the bottle for $90-$105! that's right, st michelle at $100. and the one i looked up got a solid 88 as a score ..they taste and offer their own preferred wines, again at a $100 a bottle to buy them there ... everything is jacked up in price ... nice experience (not) ... tastings are 40$ and 50$

Chris K.

Yelp
Service was amazing learned a lot about the wines we sampled. Love Oregon wines this was a cool laid back tasting room.

Emma P.

Yelp
Great tasting with knowledgeable and kind staff! Had the Pinot Nior terrior flight and all the vintages were distinctly different but all delicious.

Yelp
I came with my friends who are club members for a tasting for my birthday. Everything was super tasty, and the service was fantastic. We were all well spaced and thoughtfully attended to throughout the tasting. The space was quite airy and had lots of neat art. All of the wine was very good. I appreciated the perfect cheese pairings as well. Fun place to go to try some high quality wine!
google avatar

Trina H.

Yelp
Beautiful building and lovely experience. Just not a lot of wine offerings to choose from. 5 stars for staff 5 stars for experience and pairings 3 stars for flight/sampling offerings 4 stars for value Still will go again but will hope for more wines!
google avatar

Christine D.

Yelp
We used to belong to the wine club here and I really enjoyed it. We ended up with too many wine clubs (I know how could that be)? I had heard that the tasting room was ceasing operation as of March 14, 2020, so I thought I should pay a visit prior to it closing. The wine was good as always and customer service was spot on. There was no mention of the tasting room closing until I asked if they were having the tunes on the terrace as they often do. I was then told of the wine tasting room closing and that they would reopen at a different location as yet unknown. I hope that's true as I've always enjoyed Ste Michelle's wines. The employee did say you could still order wines online. There are a great deal of the more common ones available in grocery stores as well. Hope they reopen.

Yelp
The food was great and the wine was amazing! The service was great! Everyone working there wants you to enjoy your time. Inside was super spacious and very relaxing.

Yelp
I soooo miss this place! Living CA and can you believe CA DO NOT import my favorite Pino Grieo!
google avatar

Jana C.

Yelp
Enjoy the light, sweet 2011 Quail Run Pinot Blanc!! Thanks, MSG.. though not the biggest fan of the tasting room layout ( bathroom oddly placed), i like the outside tables and general outdoor landscaping. Lots of nice space and flowers to chill alongside of! Few food items for purchase...we bought at least 3-4 bottles before heading to Soter, after a visit to Winderlea.
google avatar

Winnie L.

Yelp
We tried the $15 wine tasting and didn't care enough for any enough to buy a bottle: -2006 Pinot Noir, Estate Selection, Dundee Hills -2006 Pinot Noir, Prince Hill Vinyard, Dundee Hills -2006 Pinot Noir, Battle Creek Vinyard, Willamette Valley -2005 Pinot Noir, Leland Vinyard, Willamette Valley They were selling these for $45 a bottle. Oh hells no. Pictures of yesteryear and the history of the winery on the walls, tacky memorabilia and smoked salmon...definitely not a classy tasting room. I would skip this winery and try the others. see pics!
google avatar

Billy F.

Yelp
Beautiful view, knowledgeable staff and a $10 tasing fee highlight Erath. Outdoor covered terrace allows outside food and a place to enjoy the view. Tastings (6) vary from just Pinot Noir, but none were standout or crave-worthy to me.
google avatar

Priya K.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds, good wine. Pinot Gris, Pinot blanc, Chardonnay and lots of Pinot Noir. The lady who poured our tastings was wonderful! She brought the tastings out so we could enjoy the gorgeous view. Regular tasting is $10, premium is $15. We chose regular as it had more white options. The lady was kind enough to pour me an additional tasting of pinot noir rose which ended up being my fav! You can also get a cheese and meat platter for $15.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
This was a first for me to visit a winery. The experts were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were patient with novices. We enjoyed learning about the wine making process. We liked all the wine choices and left with our special bag. :)
google avatar

Kurt P.

Yelp
Beautiful setting, reasonable ($10-15) tasting fee. The views here are unbelievable. Do not come here looking for great wine, it's just OK. Great place to take a couple of photos of your group in the parking lot with the vineyards and mountains as a backdrop. Do the tasting if you'd like a reasonably-priced flight. The wines are nice, but pretty ordinary stuff, and some available in local retail stores. The guy conducting the tasting seemed neither knowledgeable nor enthusiastic about his job. There was a second person there (woman) that had a lot more insight into the wines. We didn't buy any wine here - it was a pleasant enough visit, but that's about it.
google avatar

Janice R.

Yelp
It's a favorite of ours and has been for years. Great scenery, great wine and cheese pairing. One of the largest houses in Oregon, so absolutely worth a visit for contrast with some of the smaller houses!
google avatar

Joyce V.

Yelp
Disclaimer: To be fair, I tend to like big bold wines & Oregon is not the region for that. We stopped at Erath because we just driving through & thought we would try a tasting. $10.00 for the tastings and if you buy a bottle, it's used toward your purchase. We ended up buying the 2009 Estate Selection Pinot Noir which had an amazing aroma but was a light easy drinking wine. The person that was pouring was very knowledgeable and was fun to talk to. The winery view was breathtaking!
google avatar

Zuzana K.

Yelp
All in all, on of the best wine tasting experiences we have had. Ever. Pretty tasting room that was super cozy and not at all stuffy. Danielle was the host working today and she was fabulous! Very accommodating and knowledgeable. The pace of the tasting was ideal, we didn't feel rushed, neither did we have to wait. The wine is tasty and the price reasonable. We were right before dinner so we did not try the food but the selection seemed ideal.
google avatar

Travis T.

Yelp
This was the first stop on my wine tasting tour. The staff was very friendly and provided a great first time experience. They went over a bit of background on each wine during the tasting. The tasting room was well laid out with seating for groups and two bar style countertops for tastings. Most of the wine was average tasting.
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
This was the second winery my mom and I visited in Dundee on Memorial Day. First of all, we were warmly greeted by Gary, who ended up doing our whole tasting. Side note: tasting fee was $15 for six tasting PLUS a free stemless wine glass! Bonus! Gary was great: very knowledgeable and if he didn't know the answer to a question he went and found out for you. We had a total of 6 tastings: two whites - Pinot Gris and Pinot blank - and four Pinot noirs. I am not a huge white wine fan but the two we tasted I quite enjoyed. My mom and I even signed up to be a part of their wine club! Great benefits and four ships a year. I am very exited for the first shipment and I can't eat to return to Erath. An overall wonderful afternoon spent. The tasting room itself is located on top of one of the Dundee Hills and has a marvelous view! Definitely a place to share a bottle of wine and sit back and relax on a beautiful Oregon afternoon.
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Erath has it goin on! Their winery sits up on a very beautiful hill...the tasting room is cozy with lots of wood, reminded me of a nice size log cabin...the tasting bar had plenty of room to linger without bumping elbows... the staff, totally fun! And of course the wine was Delish! A huge party emptied out of a limo while we were there, and we still had plenty of room to mingle about.

Joan B.

Yelp
The tasting room is in a nice place in the city. We opted for the Magique Library tastings. This was a $40 tasting. We knew the bottles would be special, but we didn't expect three of the four on our flight to be priced over $100. The staff were nice, but left us to ourselves with only a little bit explanation on the wines they wanted us to taste. We were disappointed in the taste of the expensive wines. The 2009 Pinot tasted a little moldy. They did not taste their product before serving it. We were just disappointed with the experience. We ordered a glass of wine that we knew we would like and enjoyed that much more than the tasting. We enjoy good wine. I guess it takes a different palette to enjoy this type wine.
google avatar

Leah C.

Yelp
Erath is always so PRETTY and oddly quite homey. The staff are friendly, quick and if you are there doing a flight it's done slightly different but much more streamlined in the case you're there during a rush. They bring all the tastes out and then you pour them in your glass instead of having to stand at a counter or return to the counter which makes it a space to be very social with limited interruption which is kinda cool. I was there with a group of six and we all had a wonderful and relaxing time. If you are in for some adventure they do a 4-bottle mystery box for $65 - I HIGHLY recommend this as a Christmas white elephant gift as long as you don't open it up before so it's actually a surprise to everyone. Everyone needs a little mystery in their life! ..... right? //cheers//

Yelp
I hit up a few wineries in McMinnville today and this was my favorite! Great light Pinot blanc. Good for summer time with some light cheese. The Pinot Gris was also good. A little bit more bold. They had a really good Pinot that was called Prince hill pommard. I bought a bottle. It had a sting bold front with an aroma of pepper and an amazingly smooth finish on the palette. If u buy anything over $30 the tasting $ goes towards it purchase for a nice little discount. The staff pouring tastings was really friendly and informative. We picked up some cheese and crackers on the way out. They have a nice mini fridge with some small snacks to pair with the wine. I recommend this spot for tasting in the valley. Good combo of reds and whites pleasing all taste buds :)

Ines G.

Yelp
It's not wheelchair accessible. The customer service is below average. The owner is unapologetic.

Yelp
I recently visited Erath for the first time after enjoy their wines for a over 20 years. This was one of the best winery experiences that I have ever had. It was a Saturday and they very busy, but Barbara greeted us within 30 seconds. Lots of staff on board so no waiting. MAJOR PLUS. Barbara was amazing. She has the keen ability to make us feel like the most important customers. Engaging and knowledgable. A absolute pleasure. Also Will (I hope that is his name, "bearish" looking guy) was exceptional in his hospitality and customer service. Thank you, Erath!

Yelp
Lovely setting beautiful drive. Great wine and Paul who helped us was amazing. Very informative and personable made our experience so enjoyable. Stop at this winery for a great day and ask for Paul!!!

Yelp
This winery is located not too far from the main town of Dundee. Be prepared because the drive to get here is on a gravel road and gets a bit dusty and your car will get dirty, and the parking is a little bit "tricky". The day I came was on a hot blistering August day. This was my second stop with my friends on our friends daughters birthday winery tour. We had been driving for over an hour and we were SO GLAD we could go INSIDE where it was nice and cool and air conditioned and had plenty of fresh, cool water!! The place was packed! I guess everyone out wine tasting knew to come here because they had air conditioning. Even though it was packed, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The guy running the wine tasting was very bubbly and friendly. The first few wines he brought out were not my kinda wines so I passed. He kept telling me he was saving his sweetest "dessert" wine for last so I happily hung around and waited. When that bottle finally came out and I had a taste I KNEW I had found what I was looking for!!! It's called a Sweet Harvest Pinot Blanc from 2009. My oh my...let me tell you this is probably the BEST Pinot Blanc I have EVER had in my life. Simply delicious!!! I was just disappointed that the bottle was so small!! Well, this Pinot Blanc is $30 a bottle!! I normally do not spend that much money on wine, especially the smaller bottled ones, but it was SO delicious I had to splurge!! When I went to check out the wine guy that had served me this particular wine took $10 off the price!! Needless to say I was jazzed beyond belief and left with a smile. My only regret: not buying more bottles. ;)

Yelp
This was my first visit to Erath Winery. Kim loves Erath wines. This is one of Oregon's historical winery. The wine server was extremely friendly and engaging..
google avatar

Steverino J.

Yelp
Outstanding experience. While this vineyard is now owned by a corporation, you would never know. Its got a small vineyard feel. The Corp is completely hands off and let's them do their thing. The wine itself was really great. There were some types such as Pinot noir Blanc I'd never had before and Oregon Chardonnay is very different than those from California. But the best part of the entire experience was the person serving. Barbara was personable and friendly. More than anything, she knew her stuff. She turned every taste into an experience. So much so that after trying another tasting elsewhere, we came back to enjoy a little more wine at erath, and to complement Barbara to her manager. Too often people only want to voice complaints. Barbara really warranted being acknowledged for how awesome she was.
google avatar

Yelp
Gorgeous views! Great outdoor hangout area and they let you take your tasting flight with you so you don't have to go back and forth. The service was super sweet and friendly. You got a really good deal on the tasting flights. We had a peaceful hangout and got some great photos. They even had a food truck set up. The wines were very enjoyable and they weren't stingy. Make this one part of your tour for sure!

Yelp
We had a lovely time! Delicious wines and Kimberley, who did our tasting, was a pleasure to chat with. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Quintessential........combining earth and heart in every varietal. Of particular note: 2007 Battle Creek pinot noir, 2009 Quail Run Pinot Blanc, 2009 Willamette Pinot Blanc. Their tasting room and staff is/are marvelous. We elected to join their 'wine club', as well.......now we enjoy their seasonal shipments wherever we are. Imbibe.

Yelp
This is my second visit to Erath and the second stop on our wine tasting tour today. Our party of 14 arrived and we were seated on the patio/deck. My son and daughter in law, also known as the Bride and Groom, planned a lunch to accompany the wine tasting. The location is simply beautiful. Our hostess taught us all about the different wines we were served. I like a sweeter desert wine the best and so 3 bottles are being sent to me back home. This winery will kindly hold my wine here in Oregon until the weather is a little more wine friendly in Vegas.

Yelp
Where do I begin? Now my mind may have been a bit hazy last Sunday afternoon...as we hit up five different wineries in the Dundee vineyards area. But I DO remember quite well our visit to Erath. How could I not?? I won't put this lightly...their Pinot, and their whites were beyond the BEST we went to. I am not a wine snob. I don't throw down a bunch of cash for a spendy bottle. I am one of the Trader Joes regulars loving my Charles Shaw....it does the job...shall we say.... :) don't judge...! This is how it went down. My husband and myself were with a large group that should of rolled up in a extra long limousine all already sipping on our mimosas ready for the sights and flights. But our limo canceled on us, so we all devided into two SUVs and found our way through the valley to our googled choices of wineries nearby. (Mimosas still happened though...shhhh..) Dobbes, Duck Pond, Domain and another I can't remember...but Erath was by far the most prettiest, gorgeous old time modern, grounds perfected to a tee, and staff that was beyond lovely and knowledgable. The other winery experiences we went to were more rushing us through and seemed to just want our money and that's all they wrote. But Erath was truly a personable and enjoyable time. For some reason we are always the loudest and most obnoxious group around, we all have way too much fun!!! Especially with good wines in the mix...watch out...you will probably fall into our circle of fun and have a blast with us! :) but our lady who was going through the flight with us was so nice and had such fun with us, I wish I could remember her name, she was fabulous! Okay, now I know wine "Know it alls" are shaking their heads at my trader joes wine shenanigans but I have found a new love. I will conquer more wineries! I will raise my glass up to new adventures of wine tasting and I will turn a slight left turn around the corner two steps behind and away from the mountains of Charles Shaw and find the rows of beloved local wine varieties of Pinots and Chardonnays, grown right here in our Oregon backyard. :) I've been missing out on so much!! I thank you Erath for giving us new experiences and insight to your lovely land that is worth a million smiles. :) oh and btw I ended up spending enough money to buy a small horse with all that glorious wine. So...I guess I just had to be introduced to good wines....it's so worth it!!! :)

Yelp
Lauren was super friendly and I give her 5 stars for customer service. She had lots of stories about the wine, winemaker, and the region. She poured us two pinot gris, two pinot blancs, two pinot noirs including a blend from 20 wineries and one from 5 wineries. Their goal is to produce inexpensive wines and to keep them consistent year after year. You can find their wines coast to coast at grocery stores and restaurants. Given the size of their operation I was surprised at the small humble tasting room. There is an outdoor patio where you can sit and sip or bring some snacks or lunch. They do sell some snacks like cheeses on the premises. As for the quality of the wines, well you have to judge for yourself. I found them good but not worth taking back on the plane with me.

Yelp
A fantastic lineup of wines (mmm La Nuit Magique Pinot Noir) and a friendly tasting room staff. In summer, I'd pack a picnic lunch and sit outside at the tables and look down into the Willamette Valley in all its splendor.

Yelp
Another one that's a little out there, location wise (you just get used to that after a while) ... but really nice wines and worth seeking out. Warm, rustic tasting room...very friendly and down to earth staffers. We didn't get to enjoy the view since it was wet and rainy but I enjoyed their Prince Hill Pinot quite a lot when we were there.
