MICHELIN Guide: The Best Hotels in Athens

"Ergon House is first and foremost a multi-pronged food market, featuring a butcher, a fishmonger, a baker, a grocer, and a restaurant, all under the same Ergon Foods banner that’s been exporting upmarket Greek flavors all across Europe for a decade. It just so happens that above this “modern-day Agora” is a 38-room boutique hotel — and the hotel, it turns out, is no afterthought, but a fully realized holistic hospitality experience, one that takes service and comfort as seriously as it takes its cuisine." - The MICHELIN Guide

This hotel is very nice. Our room was very clean and organic feeling, felt very cozy and comfortable. Everyone that worked there was also very nice, helpful, and friendly. The part that really blew us away is the included breakfast. If you stay here make sure you go as it was the best food we found in Athens. We tried other places around the hotel, but the hotel by far had the best food and prices. Even if you do not stay here you must try the food as it really is good!

This review is about the restaurant where we enjoyed brunch twice. I think the food tastes great, and they offer a wide selection of brunch options without it feeling overwhelming. On our first visit, I had a pancake that resembled a very dense pound cake and was far too sweet for our taste. On our second visit, we tried some delicious bread topped with eggs—two different varieties, as you can see in the photo. Wow, they were absolutely amazing! The staff seemed very busy, and it took quite some effort to get their attention, but once we did, they were friendly and welcoming.

Outstanding hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, spacious comfortable. The only negative item was the service in the dining room for breakfast. Everything took too long to arrive at the table. -Even a simple cup of coffee took more than half and hour

Pro: Bakehouse window is amazing with tons of delicious, high quality options. The spanikopita was the best I’ve ever had. Con: Absolutely skip the restaurant / breakfast cafe - the service was truly abysmal and not worth the crazy wait and poor attention. Wanted to love it, but the hospitality is just not there.

Had an amazing stay at Ergon House! We were only in Athens 24 hours and this was the perfect place. They accommodated an early check-in, had absolutely amazing service, a perfect walkable/safe location, AWESOME FOOD, and I really could go on and on. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and genuinely wanted to make sure you had an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!!!!!

**Amazing hotel!**|Besides the famous breakfast that totally lives up to its reputation, what really stood out was the service — friendly, helpful, and always with a smile. Whether it was in the restaurant, at the front desk, or just helping with anything we needed, the staff went above and beyond.|A special thank you to Konstantinos!|We’re definitely coming back and will be recommending this place to all our friends.

We stayed at the XL room. The boutique hotel is on top of a restaurant/food market, but the hotel area is pretty separated and private. As many other reviews pointed out, the a-la-carte breakfast included was fantastic. The room was well and uniquely designed, clean, and well-maintained by housekeeping. The bed was pretty comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is very central. You can walk to anywhere easily. ||The slight issue I had was that the design is more on the aesthetic side and a bit less practical. For example, the sink is small and narrow and has no place to put any personal items. There is a TV on top of sofa bed with metal frame at bottom. The person slept there kept bumping their head on it. These are small things, but I think the designer should try to make the room easy to use in addition to looking good.||Overall it is a very nice hotel.

We had such a wonderful stay at Ergon House Athens! The hotel arranged a driver to pick us up from the port when we arrived late and also set up a car to the airport the next day, which made everything so easy. Jerome at the front desk was amazing — he went above and beyond by ordering gyros for us at 1am and bringing them to our room when we were too tired to go out. The staff the next morning were just as kind and helpful, and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was incredible. Comfortable rooms, outstanding service, and delicious breakfast — truly a 10/10 stay!
