Best Barbecue Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"This humble eatery in Avondale has grown into the West Valley’s most hyped spot for in-the-know barbecue enthusiasts. Eric’s Family Barbecue nails not only the usual meats — brisket, ribs, pulled pork, turkey — but higher-difficulty specialties like pastrami and beef ribs. The spot utilizes oversized offsets smokers and mesquite wood. Service is cafeteria style, an evolving menu is scrawled on butcher paper, and a few seats sit in the shade outside. Other popular orders include golden-fried tacos dorados and a cheesy, no-frills elote that deserves a place on your tray." - Chris Malloy

Drove 30 miles from a $68 lunch that was extremely disappointing. I ordered the turkey and my husband had the pastrami. Both sandwiches were served in cold buns and tasteless. The side were hot. The beans are very good. The Mac and cheese not so much. The atmosphere is very back yard BBQ. The prices are steep for subpar food. Very disappointing.

Hello all, I have a game changer for you today. I am assuming at this point everyone has at least heard of Eric's barbecue and if you are lucky then you have tried it. Some of the best and most tender barbecue and sides that you will ever try. What brings me here today is that we were driving by early Sunday morning and saw that they now offer breakfast!!! So we made a U turn and went to see what the new breakfast was like. So I got the beef brisket omelet with all the fixings and my girl got the smoked turkey omelet. I was feeling particularly adventurous, so I asked for a side of hash browns and pancakes and that is where the game was changed. You only need one pancake that is shareable made with real butter and made from scratch in my opinion and the syrup; oh my!!! This is the #1 pancake in Arizona in my opinion and you have to experience it to believe it at least once in your life. I will be going back many times to get that pancake. The omelettes are amazing as well and I highly recommend them as well. The hash brown needs a little more help. It needs a little more crispiness to me. One of the top barbecue spots makes great omelettes like no other and a pancake that will change your life. Who new!?! Eric's family barbecue never disappoints!!!

I really wanted to love this place and have been craving authentic BBQ Points for: atmosphere, burger was good, pulled pork itself was good, 1 good worker. Points off: rude under dressed waitress -1star Price was very high for quality and quantity -1star $6 sides- good but not worth it. Small amount and not fresh They run out of sweet tea at the machine- you’re out of luck. Sauces aren’t anything to write home about- but the house sauce is good. Spicy is lacking flavor. If you’re southern or Midwest - this place won’t do it for ya. Comparable to dickeys. Fresh and hot Burgers take 20 min so it’s awkward if your party orders other things The pulled pork is very tender. Good meat to bun ratio. Fresh buns. Burgers were delicious. (They do offer to bring everything out at the same time). Mac and cheese was good. Not worth the price- portions are okay but a $20+ burger… Clean. Enjoyable atmosphere. Nicely decorated. High AC for the summer heat. Meat counter guy was friendly and helpful. He’s the only reason service got any stars. The two counter girls were a bit too caught up in socializing/ on their phone and rushed us through quickly and had attitude-to the point she wrote the wrong name. She was also very inappropriately dressed. I don’t want your crop top and whole butt severing my food. This ain’t a hooters. That’s also a health code violation. Her whole stomach and cheeks were out- nothing to the imagination. She also glared at everyone and just had a pissy face. Felt weird to be watched eating. (Also atleast have a nice body and/or good attitude to pull it off if you don’t)They have a selection of local beers. As well as free to play games. Small things to note: the menus are taped to the wall brown bags? and the amount of flies is annoying. Sauce is watery. Very heavy mustard influence.

Google
Nice little barbeque restaurant off the beaten path, in the West Valley, on the border of Avondale, Glendale, and Phoenix. We had the brisket, which was tasty, even without the sauce. They had a good amount of traffic when we arrived, so there was somewhat of a wait, but they worked the line down quickly. Customer service was fast and efficient, with a smile. My only complaint was that the price to portion size was a bit high compared to Rudy's Barbecue. Instead of a gallon of tea, they sell it by the quart @ $8, compared to $6.50 for a Gallon at Rudy's. Also Rudy's Barbecue is better priced on the meats, and you receive a much larger portion there. Overall I would still recommend Eric's for those looking for a Barbeque meal.

Google
It was ranked among some of the best in the valley … for a reason. We live just a block away & come here often. Food portion is generous & less salty compare to Rudy’s. Love their coleslaw (crispy & fresh).

Google
Looking for a legit bbq joint. You’ve found it. They have rows of smokers out back and server you meats by the lb. They offer up pickled onions, jalapeños, pickles and slices of white bread on the side. The turkey and pastrami are fantastic. Some pastrami on white bread with pickles and their mustard bbq sauce is amazing. Super friendly staff that is very helpful in getting you plates of food.

Google
The food was delicious, hands down the best brisket on the West Side. There were plenty of things on the menu that were not available. Cheese burgers for one and with bringing kids along, that was a huge disappointment. The corn was amazing and the banana pudding was a great way to end the meal. It’s large so we shared it between 3 of us. It is a bit pricey as you start adding sides and drinks but all in all, the quality of what you’re getting is worth it. Except of course for the $4 fountain drinks. Even with the overpriced fountain drinks, I’ll definitely be back here again. That brisket keeps calling my name!

Google
Already went twice. Well made and delicious. Very helpful in deciding what to get and serving size. The place is clean and well kept. Though we have been there during the non-rush hours. They have some cool arcade games and the music is pretty awesome. Worth the drive.

Yelp
What a gem to find in the west valley! Brought the family here for dinner. The food I did not disappoint. Walking in, there were plenty of tables. Not too busy. We got a little bit of everything: brisket, beef rib, shredded pork, Mac and cheese and potato salad. Wow! Flavvvor! You can't go wrong with any of these items. The staff were so nice and accommodating. I'll support anything family owned. We'll be back if in the area again.

Yelp
Several weeks ago my friend noticed that Eric's Family BBQ had hours 6 am to 10:30 , then the normal 11 to 7pm lunch ,dinner hours. I gathered up my lunch buddies and asked if they wanted to go to Eric's for breakfast. With that , 5 of us made the pilgrimage on a Saturday morning at 8 am. We had the restaurant all to ourseleves. Normally that would not be a good sign for eating in the prime breakfast hour. The menu consisted of a Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Sandwich, Omelette, Pancakes, and Hash browns. Brisket , Pulled Pork , Turkey , Pastrami, and not on the menu Bacon were your meat choices. We ordered 2 Omelettes with bacon and cheese, 2 Omelettes with Brisket and cheese, and a Breakfast Sandwich with Brisket. All orders come with arugula, green onions, tomato, and red and green sauce. My Omelette only had the arugula added on , plus and order of Hash Browns. Everything was top notch. The Omelette was cooked perfectly . The Brisket was its usual. Fantastic. The Hash Browns were great. The order of Hash Browns was big enough to share with another person. It did. Your order come out on a metal try with white paper that holds the food. Way different than a plate and silverware. We did have to wait about 1/2 for the food. Plan accordingly if you need be somewhere else. The staff is very informative and friendly. I claim Eric's is great for any meal of the day. They have all the bases covered.

Yelp
Came back to give this place a second try because honestly speaking I was not impressed the first time around. Ordered the brisket sandwich, turkey sandwich, jalapeño sausage, elote, fries and onion rings as sides. Let me start off with the elote. This was my fave item from the menu. I just wish it had a little bit less mayo and a lime on the side then it will be perfect. Fries were very crispy which we loved. The onion rings and Mac n cheese were good too. The jalapeño sausage, last time it was super dry and this time super greasy. Not our favorite though. Turkey sandwich was good according to our 10yo. She approved. Brisket sandwich was good but just as the previous time, it seemed to be a bit dry. People at the counter were very friendly. This place has a lot of seating area inside and outside which is great because they get busy as soon as they open. Very lay back ambiance. Definitely worth a try.

Yelp
Love this place and second time doing review on them. Last one was several years ago. Their barbecue is top notch and the service is excellent! They have become quite popular, so it's very busy around the 11am to 12 time period, but the line moves well. If your on the west side of Phoenix (Avondale-Goodyear) area a definite must try if you like barbecue.

Yelp
Try the brisket! I loved the moist and succulent fat with the tasty crust. The barbecue sauces were pretty tasty. The potato salad was good, not too much vinegar. I wasn't thrilled with the spar ribs, but I think I might like the baby back ribs better. I will try that next time.

Yelp
Still one of my fav's, I just wanted to add a few new photos. Hey you guys, wanna' make it a little more Texan? Add fried okra (Pleeeeease!)

Yelp
Omg!! I'm from Kansas City born and raised so I know good bbq when I taste it and MY GOD this place is it!!!! The brisket was so tender, most, juicy, flavorful! 10/10!!! Whoever is smoking that meat gets a stamp of approval from this Kansas City Girl! And the pastrami was amazing as well! I cannot wait to come back and try the other menu items!!!!! S/0 to the guy who served me up! He was great!!! Also you can order by the slice, quarter pound, half pound, full pound whatever pound lol it's a great set up to allow you to try without spending a ton of money!!! Great prices as well! I will definitely come back!!!!

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow! I came across this place on Yelp when I was doing research for Phoenix. I took a colleague here for dinner while we were in the area for business and it was fantastic! We arrived around 4:00 p.m. and by then all of the burgers were sold out but we came for the brisket so that didn't bother us. I ordered the brisket by weight (1/2 lb.) with mac and cheese and potato salad for my sided. This came with sliced bread and a side of pickles and jalapenos. There was BBQ sauce on all the tables but honestly the meat did not need it. It was tender, moist and beautifully seasoned. The macaroni and cheese serving was generous and oh so cheesy. It was perfectly seasoned and provided so much cheese while the noodles still had great texture. I really liked the potato salad because it had a mustard base and wasn't sweet but beautifully satisfying. I love the addition of pickles as it allowed your palate to cut through the richness. I can't wait to go back. As if this place couldn't get any better, it is family and veteran-owned.

Yelp
I have been told I had to try this place. I am a brisket lover and will try brisket at every opportunity I am faced with. Like all great BBQ joints, it is no frills (that is a compliment). It is a walk up, menu in butcher paper and will cross it out as we run of it kinda joint. This was a solid piece of fatty brisket. There was a lot of flavor and it was super moist. It had a good bark and a nice flavor. The Pork Ribs were big meaty pieces. They had great flavor and fell off the bone. The Pastrami was excellent. Tons of flavor! The sides were really good. I had the elote, which was fantastic. I also tried the potato salad, good, and the Mac & Cheese. M&C was made with real cheese and had really good flavor. This was good BBQ.
google avatar

Rose F.

Yelp
Very good bbq! We ordered the brisket, sausage, and ribs. As for sides we got the potato salad, mac and cheese and beans. All were very good! Definitely a good bbq place on the West Side. I love Little Miss bbq, but it is super far. So this place is next on my list! The staff were also very friendly, and the inside looked very homey and a nice vibe to it. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Back again!!! Omg bbq heaven Pictures is the beef rib, pork rib, brisket, Mac n cheese, potato salad, and beans!!!

Yelp
Came here with my son for lunch my youngest doesn't do barbecue, but my oldest does. I got the pulled pork sandwich and he got the brisket sandwich and then we both got mac & cheese. The people were very friendly. It was easy to order. Everything came out really good. They have the barbecue sauce on the table. I like that. They also have a spicy barbecue honestly it was really good. The portions were big.
google avatar

Yelp
The meat quality is amazing! Juicy ! It is worth the price ! If they could keep more cleaning would even better. This is not that fancy restaurant! But meat is amazing!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Good food and great personalities. I saw that this BBQ place served breakfast and thought heck ya. They had breakfast burritos, omelettes, pancakes, hash browns, etc. I went for an omelette with brisket. It was delicious and the people were awesome.
google avatar

Kelsey E.

Yelp
Amazing, amazing, amazing! This place is a down home, family friendly, local gem! The food is order at counter style by pound with lots of family sized options. They will prepare you with what they're sold out of and know that they only make limited quantities. They will also show you the meat before you order if you want to take a look. Service is quick but order fast if there is a line. You pick your own table and bus yourself.
google avatar

Grecia S.

Yelp
Upon entrance we were greeted but right away we noticed that the cashier and the girl that helped us with the sides had bit of an attitude and were not really helpful (it was our first time there). The guy that help with the cuts was more friendly and helpful. We also got charged for 1 pound of brisket when we only got 1/2 so they charged us probably 20 dollars more than what we should have paid. Food was ok, the BBQ chicken was very very dry and had no flavor. Overall not really impressed and I wouldn't really recommend it.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
I love BBQ and in Arizona this is amazing. Love the brisket, hamburgers, smoked turkey and the Elote. Highly recommended.

Yelp
First time coming in! Had the pulled brisket, turkey sandwich, and the elote. Portions huge. The spicy bbq so so good! Definitely will be back

Yelp
I didn't expect to be amazed today by this restaurant when I was looking for bbq places to try. I was in the area and really hungry so we decided to check this place out. There was a long line when we came in but it was moving quickly. Once we approached the front we were greeted with excitement from the man taking our order. My family and I got the Brisket sandwich, the little backyard cheeseburger, tacos dorados, elote, Mac 'N cheese and the banana pudding. The banana pudding was mouthwatering and the brisket sandwich was so tender and delicious. 5/5. Defiantly the best items we tried on the menu today. They also have BBQ sauces on the table you can use as well for the brisket or any meat you decide to choose. Both spicy and regular BBQ sauce. The little backyard cheeseburger was served with a prime angus beef patty that came with their homemade sauce, pickles and American cheese. Delicious. The tacos dorados are made with corn tortillas that are topped with bbq and cheese. Really flavorful. I'm coming back to try the other meats. Next time we're trying the pulled pork and the pastrami.

Yelp
We came here as an absolute recommend and while we joked with our friend that if place wasn't as great as they hyped it up to be then he would lose his rights of recommendation. We came in as a party of 8 and everyone got something different and not a single person was disappointed. The meat was flavorful and tender. They charge by the pound for their 15 hour smoked brisket and ribs. Both were melt-in-your-mouth goodness full of fat and flavor! The meats and sandwiches do come with pickles, pickled jalepenos, sliced red onions and bread but you have to ask for it. As for sides, those a separate purchase and I can't recommend their homemade MAC and cheese enough! That was cheesy and creamy with a slight kick. It was so good! Their coleslaw was also good and their dressing wasn't too sweet thick or thin. For dessert, do not skip out on their homemade smoked pecan pie and homemade banana pudding!! Both were AMAZING! Needless to say, our friend gets to keep his rights and now is king of food recs. This place was bomb!!
google avatar

Devon D.

Yelp
Excellent BBQ and I am from Texas so this place is the best Brisket in town, heck in Arizona! They also have pork, chicken, sausage and sides too.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
There's BBQ and then there is BARBECUE! Texas, Oklahoma, the Carolinas, you name it. Then along comes Eric's and they say, "Hold my beer!" There's a reason they were rated #3 barbecue in the nation. We picked Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and turkey. Sides were coleslaw and Mac n cheese. All were phenomenal! The ribs, brisket, pulled pork are REALLY, REALLY good. The surprise was the turkey. Holy smokes (pun intended)! My wife and I agreed the coleslaw was some of the best we've ever had. Not to take anything away from the Mac n cheese, it was delicious in its own right. If you are wondering if this place is worth the hype the answer is absolutely! Put this on your must try list. You will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Henry D.

Yelp
If you haven't tried this place you're missing out. Delicious brisket with a wide selection of other meats to include Ox tail. If that's your jam. The sides are bomb too. I really dig the elote. Meats are sold by the lb. Don't forget to ask for the pickled onions and jalapeños. Several flavors of BBQ sauces available in their picnic style tables. Try them all and find your favorite. Customer service is friendly here. They love jamming out to some oldies music while you eat. There is one television available to watch the game. So what are waiting for.

Yelp
Very happy with Eric's Family BBQ.I've lived in Phoenix for so long and I finally found it through Yelp! We really enjoyed the food. We were lucky that they still had all the BBQ meats by 5pm. But sure enough, while eating, they ran out of Beef ribs. So make sure to arrive arou d lunch time and before 5pm for best selection. We sampled pulled pork, turkey, pork ribs, and brisket. With only 2 of us, we decided to do a 1/4 lb of each meat. So average is about $6 or $7 for each selection. With our sides, they are $5 a piece. We went with potato salad, elote, Cole slaw, and Mac and cheese. My favorites were the elote and Mac and cheese. They are awesome to provide some of the delicious top layer of the Mac and next time I would order the elote without hot sauce, but still delicious! We will make sure to be back here really soon!

Yelp
We are new to Arizona so we don't know all the great places to eat yet. I was in line at my CVS in Verrado and the guy next to me started talking to me. He told me if I like bbq then i have to try Eric's. My wife and I were in the area and I pulled up Yelp and there it was. We showed up around 2 pm on a Saturday and it was real busy. Nothing fancy inside but welcoming. We waited for our turn to order and the gentleman at the counter was incredible. Super friendly, outgoing and helpful with our order. We ordered a brisket sandwich Philly style and a chicken sandwich. He pulled the chicken out and cut it off the bone which was delicious. The brisket was amazing as well. He asked if we had tried the turkey sandwich and we said no, so he put some turkey on the side for us to try. We had Cole slaw and Mac and cheese for our sides. The food was amazing, staff, all of them were amazing. The only feedback is maybe smaller sides a little cheaper but I understand these are shareable. We will be back. 5 stars.

Yelp
you're a BBQ lover living in Arizona, you should absolutely consider making the trip to Eric's Family Barbecue. Located in Avondale, it's about an hour's drive from North Scottsdale, but trust me -- it's worth every minute spent on the road. This was my second visit in just ten days, and while I've tried various items on the menu, including their pulled pork and jalapeño sausage, the highlight for me is always the fatty brisket. And coming from Kansas City, where BBQ is practically a way of life, I can say that I know my brisket. I grew up surrounded by family members who prided themselves on their smoky, tender creations, so my standards are pretty high. In my previous BBQ endeavors in Arizona, I thought nothing could surpass Little Miss BBQ, which set the gold standard for me until April 2025. However, Eric's has taken a firm step into the spotlight with their brisket. It's perfectly cooked, juicy, and has that irresistible smoky flavor that keeps me coming back. During my latest visit, I ventured out and tried a couple of side items as well. The yellow elote was decent, but honestly, I found it a bit underwhelming compared to the star of the show -- the brisket. If you're serious about your BBQ, do yourself a favor and make the drive. The line might be daunting, but it moves quickly and the wait only heightens the anticipation of that delicious brisket. So, if you're in the mood for some top-notch BBQ, grab your keys and head to Avondale. Eric's Family Barbecue is a gem that deserves to be discovered Not a fan of the open playlist music I just feel that needs to be managed.

Yelp
10/10 The service for one was outstanding!!! That alone makes me want to come back. And the food was incredible! About to dig into my banana pudding which I'm sure is also amazing. Totally worth the drive!
google avatar

Aubrey J.

Yelp
To be honest, I was very disappointed. Both of our orders were messed up and the burger we ordered took over 20 minutes. I wish the staff took a little more time to ensure orders were correct. The male manager was gracious and refunded us for the mix up. The female manager kept saying she was overwhelmed and took it out on everyone. PS Make sure you know your meats before coming here as there is no explanation to the cuts

Julie N.

Yelp
I bought a green chili cheese burger well done, and when I started to eat it, it didn't taste like the ones I had ordered before. I finally looked at the hamburger patty. It was beyond well done; it was like carbon. The person who made the burger had to have seen how burnt it was. How could anyone in their right mind think they could serve this to a customer. Shame on you!!
google avatar

Rose M.

Yelp
Expecting off the hook brisket , sadly save your money it's fatty dry and not Texas brisket. Service is also terrible. You need to teach your staff customer service skills. If I order and purchase sweet tea don't tell me to get Lipton tea and pop an attitude when I tell you I want sweet tea.
google avatar

Kay L.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful brisket! Definitely coming back for more ! This is our new bbq spot for sure
google avatar

Ethan S.

Yelp
I have to say this was hands down the best bbq I've ever had to date. I got the whole beef rib, mac and cheese, potato salad, and a pork sandwich. I was not dissatisfied. The guy there made sure I got a perfect beef rib (which was a bit expensive $58) but tasted amazing. The rub was peppery but not overbearing the meat was smoked to perfection and the bbq sauce had just enough bite to it. The sides were good as well though nothing to rave about. Overall great experience due to great service. The vibe there was also nice, giving western messy bbq vibes.
google avatar

Theresa L.

Yelp
Eric's has been a spot me and my coworkers go to on special occasions! The food is great, the service is amazing, and the restaurant itself is what you think when you think of BBQ!
google avatar

Jonathan P.

Yelp
I've been here plenty of times now and easy to say this is my favorite BBQ spot in AZ. The service is always great and the food is amazing! The ambiance is a very casually back yard bbq experience. Whenever fam comes in from out of town I make sure to bring them here. From the elote to the pastrami everything is always top notch. If you haven't been I highly recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Oh man, I was excited for the food and they delivered! This BBQ is so good. We had brisket, ribs, pulled pork and pastrami! It was so good everything was perfectly cooked. The surprise for me was the pastrami, I have never had pastrami with bark on it, I don't know if I can go back (to traditional pastrami). The service is unique, they take your order by a combo of shouting and memory, from there it is basically self serve. It works and the food is bomb. Pretty much a get down to business, eat your bbq and cleanup so someone else can sit down, cause they fill up fast. They had some good tunes though, pretty chill overall.
google avatar

Dean H.

Yelp
So we're back in AZ for spring training and of course BBQ has to be had. The service here was great. The people working here were friendly and super cool. The inside of the restaurant was clean and inviting. We ordered the brisket, turkey, and pork ribs. I'll get to the sides in a bit. The brisket was awesome. It had the texture I like with great fattiness. The bark was flavorful and the smoke really made an appearance. The pork ribs were also pretty darn good. They were meaty and had a good smoke on them. Unfortunately, the turkey, although cooked very well, was super salty. We each took a bite and couldn't eat any more. This is where a Star was taken off. As for the sides, we got the mac and the corn. The corn was kinda disappointing. I blame it on the actual kernels of corn. They weren't very good flavor wise and texturally. The seasoning tried to make up for the corn's poor performance but it just wasn't enough. The mac was decent. Overall, I'd say Little Miss is better but Eric's brisket is nothing to scoff at.

Yelp
This place is amazing - you MUST try at least once and you will come back again and again. It is rated #3 IN THE NATION!!We recently took out of town friends and had a platter of various meats. Beef, ribs, pork, ribs, brisket, pastrami, and sausage. We swooned over the beef, ribs and the brisket but the whole platter had melt in your mouth flavors. The Elote (corn) side dish is very tasty and I would recommend. The beans are wuuuuu doggie good! We also shared a banana pudding and boy did that bring back memories of being a kid. The butcher/meat cutter adds to the experience, telling you all about the processing of the meats and entertaining you as well. Outstanding service! Love everything about this place and we are so grateful they are so close to home!!
google avatar

Josh S.

Yelp
Back (again) and never disappoints. Late in the day, meats are popping off. If you aren't sure do your own sampler. The smoked pastrami is 10/10, just fantastic. Brisket has some pepper to it, definitely worth a try. Pork ribs got that mesquite flavor ummm hmm. But the pastrami is show stopper.

Rhiannon G.

Yelp
Really was not impressed and confused by the raving reviews... food was alright but nothing to rave or call the best by far. Mediocre bbq. Better places exist.
google avatar

Sarahir C.

Yelp
The beef rib was very tender, fell right off the bone. The mac & cheese was delicious. The corn was a little too creamy for me but not bad. It was our first time visiting & the staff did an awesome job guiding us through the ordering process. We will definitely be coming back to try more items of their menu!
google avatar

Loralee B.

Yelp
We arrived right as the doors were opening on a Sunday morning. They slice the meats as you go through the line, so that was a quick turnaround. The cashier was trying to move too quickly, so our bill and our friends' bill was wrong. The fries came out as we were finishing our meals. But overall the food was delicious and we will definitely come back when we're in the area.

Yelp
Finally tried this place for the first time, I heard this is the "little miss bbq" of the west side. This is what I thought: Ordered fatty brisket, ribs, and sausages, sides were Slaw. Brisket was great, however ribs and sausages were a bit on the dry side, probably having to do with me ordering in the afternoon hours. Wanted to try beef ribs but I couldn't afford it. Compared to little miss bbq, this is probably a 4 out of 5 overall. What they do better than little miss is their BBQ sauce, their spicy BBQ sauce is to die for! That thing really have a kick! One thing I did not like little miss bbq is that their bbq sauces are too sweet for me, but this place's sauces are right on the spot! I'd say this place sure claims the number one spot on the west side, also it's very easy to park as this place is not in a busy street corner like all the other places.

Yelp
Definitely among the nicest BBQ spots that I've been to. Very accommodating staff. Check this place out if you're looking for a tasty meal.

Yelp
This is basically the best BBQ in the west valley hands down! Come early bc the popular cuts will be sold out. I have taken family members and coworkers to this spot and they all love this place. Even my boyfriend's dad who smokes his own meat told me that this is a solid place. Enough said. :)

Yelp
Solid 4! Been meaning to come here for awhile now, and finally made it. Went with a pastrami sandwich, 2 slices lean brisket, some fries, and a slice of pecan pie. Mexican Coke to drink. How was it? Pastrami Sandwich- Amazing! 5 stars! Best thing here, for sure! Pastrami was tender, and moist and rich. Hell of a sandwich! Really enjoyed it! Brisket- 3.5 stars. Good not great. Served its purpose, little bit salty. Fries- 5 stars. Great fries! Plain old crinkle cut, but they were fried perfectly and tasty. Good side dish! Pecan Pie- 3 stars. Eh. It was ok. Didn't really taste too much smoke flavor, but it was sweet and served its purpose. Probably would not get again. Overall, I thought it was good! The pastrami sandwich was amazing and if/when I come back, I'm getting that and some fries, skipping everything else (might try their burgers...lots of people were ordering them and they looked good being brought out). My buddy got a beef rib, fatty brisket, sausage and a banana pudding. He thought everything was way too salty. Cooked perfectly, but just too salty. Service was great! Nice and friendly! That's all folks!

Yelp
The pork ribs were well seasoned but not over seasoned. The brisket was delicious. The spicy sauce and house sauce were excellent. The spicy sauce loses its flavor a bit when used the brisket and ribs. The house provides a nice balance. I still wish the pickles and onions were pickled. The fry's were freshly made to order which is nice, but nothing else to them. The pecan pie is different and I can't quite put my finger on it. It's maybe not quite sweet enough, a little bitter maybe. I am torn between a 3 star and 4 star. It is above average BBQ. BUT THE PRICE! 1/3lb of brisket, two pork ribs, Mac and cheese, fries, pie, and a drink was $47. Their sandwiches are very reasonably priced. I don't know if I'll be back for brisket or ribs, but some fried tacos or a sandwich, most definitely. Great service, extremely friendly and a welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
5 Stars - Incredible BBQ and Great Service The barbecue here is absolutely outstanding. We showed up about an hour before closing (totally on us), so naturally, most of the meat was already sold out--always a good sign! We ended up with the brisket, which was incredibly juicy and perfectly smoked, and a pulled pork sandwich that was honestly out of this world. No regrets at all--everything was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. It's a no-frills spot with a legit smoke pit behind the building, which just adds to the authentic vibe. The service was super friendly, took the time to explain everything on the menu, and made sure we were well taken care of. The only tiny critique? The music was a bit loud for our taste--but honestly, with food this good, that's easy to overlook. If you're into legit BBQ, this place is 100% worth the stop. Just get there early before they sell out!

Yelp
The service was awesome. I went on March 9, 2025, in the afternoon. I ordered a half pound of brisket and a quarter pound of pastrami. I also ordered cole slaw. The brisket was cooked perfectly but had no taste. The pastrami was tough and dry. The house bbq sauce didn't taste good. It was thin and tasted vinegary. That was disappointing because the brisket did not have any tasted. The spicy sauce was a little better. The mustard sauce was better than the other two. The cole slaw was dry and hardly had dressing. Needless to say I was disappointed. I was expecting better bbq. The prices were high, but they are about the same as other bbq places. The beef ribs are very expensive. I was going to order this item, but when the server weighed it, it was one pound for one rib with mostly bone and very little meat. I refused to pay $40 dollars for little meat. They are not the only place that charges $40 dollar a pound. More expensive than brisket and less meat. I know beef is expensive, but that is way too much for on rib. Sorry, but I was hoping for a better experience.
