The Summer Lookbook: Seafood Tower, But Make It Fashion | Eater

"A designer noted for coveted oyster-themed jewelry and accessories; her oyster pieces—now no longer available—have been long admired by fashion followers for their elegant take on maritime motifs and contribution to the broader seafood-kitsch moment." - Bettina Makalintal

Erin and I worked together on styling the living/dining area of my family's 2-bedroom apartment in Toronto, Canada. This work happened during a STYLING SCHOOL workshop Erin led, called "How to design a space that brings you joy" and thus was achieved very quickly! We have a young child, and are still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic so while our goal was to create a beautiful and calm Scandinavian and Japanese inspired space, it also has to leave room to work as a dance studio/gym/you name it! It was incredible to watch Erin's process. She very quickly evaluated the space, identified specific areas that were contributing to visual clutter or that were out-of-date, and dug into her magical library of objects to suggest a basket, plant, lamp, blanket, or other item that would help the space fit the brief. At the end of this process I had an image of the redesigned space and a list of steps to follow to achieve our shared vision for the space. Through a mixture of moving our exiting belongings around, editing out a few items, and adding a select few items (one lamp, one new plant) I'll be able to have the space of my dreams within our strict budget. My favourite part of the process was that, after feeling completely stuck about how to make this space work for years, Erin opened my eyes to the possibilities of the space and re-ignited my creative fire! I highly recommend working with Erin to design and/or style your home. She is fun to work with, has impeccable style, and will suit the plan to your reality in terms of lifestyle and budget.

I recently moved in to a modern condo in San Francisco and was looking for a designer who could help me realize my vision for a modern minimalist home. I chose Erin because based on her stunning portfolio, I realized we had a very similar aesthetic. As a result, even in our initial consultation, we resonated straight away. It was fun to work together with someone who loved so many of the same things! I was mainly looking for Erin's help to maintain a consistent theme and color palette throughout my home, to choose unique furniture and decor that fit my space, as well as to have a designer's sophisticated eye supervising everything. I was a bit concerned about how the remote design experience would work (due to covid), however it was a lot more seamless than I thought it would be thanks to Erin's efficient organization and communication. We worked remotely to organize the furniture layout, review samples of the custom finishes together, and select some really special designer pieces that worked well with my budget with a high low approach. I wanted a few statement pieces that I could keep for years to come, while at the same time, stay within my budget. Erin was really cognizant of my needs and was super patient even as I cycled through various options. For my home, we ended up picking a color palette that was warm, earthy and cozy, just like I was hoping for. The open plan living room was a challenge given the big open space and several walls of windows, but we figured out a layout that would be best for hosting my friends and family, reading and watching TV, and selected some beautiful timeless pieces in the process. I absolutely love how my living room turned out! In addition to the living room, Erin also helped select new wall colors for my bedroom, and furnishings as well. My bedroom turned out to be the earthy, Mediterranean retreat that I wanted it to be. This was really my favorite part of the experience - seeing the beautiful designs Erin had rendered digitally coming to life in my home. All in all, Erin is a great designer to work with and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would highly recommend Erin for any home design and improvement projects!

Erin helped me design a dedicated home office space in my garage, designing against the challenges of limited space. I built partitions to define the space, and Erin helped me visualize different layout options to both make a small space feel more spacious and find the best background for my video conference calls. It was incredibly helpful to see renderings in detail, to visually explore different ideas before putting time and money into a permanent solution. Erin was professional and responsive, and felt very much like a partner in finding the right solution for my needs. Highly recommended!

We hired Erin to remotely design our living room and dining room. We wanted to create a light and airy casual feel, something practical and cozy that could still work well in a dog-friendly home. Erin was quick and responsive by email, so the remote design process didn’t feel like a barrier at all. The design boards and renderings were very helpful to visualize how it would all come together, and we liked getting specific advice on artwork sizes and placement to take the guesswork out of it all. She found furniture and decor options that were both good quality and affordable, helping us to transform our space while staying within a reasonable budget. Overall we really enjoyed the process!

We hired Erin to assist us in redesigning our living room space. Our ultimate goal was to maximize our space, be dog friendly, include a work from home set-up and create a light & comfortable look and feel. Throughout the entire design process (which we did remote), Erin was open to listening to our feedback and was quick to move the process along & respond to our questions. The design boards were very helpful to visualize the space. Erin selected furniture and decor that fit our goal, our budget and were good quality. We just completed our redesign and couldn't be happier with the experience and the result. It far exceeds what I could have ever imagined the space could be. We are so happy with the result we are moving onto our bedroom. Now that we finished our bedroom, I wanted to add to my original review. Our goal was to give our bedroom an update with a relaxed, beach vide. Erin was again amazing throughout the entire process. I really love how she incorporated our feedback and was super focused on selecting high value pieces while keeping cost in mind. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. I only wish our condo was larger so we could keep working with Erin!

Erin and I worked on my entire new place (2 bedrooms and living/dining room) for the past few months and all I have to say is - hands down she is one of the best designers out there with a very unique set of design tastes that I was totally amazed by. My place has many different challenges from layout perspective. Specifically the awkward corners in the master bedroom, improperly design dining area - working with Erin to resolve these is a breeze. It opened my mind and invoked so much creativity! Picking out a furniture with Erin is the best part - once she understood your taste, she will help you expand and elevate - results are incredible. I am waiting for the final installation and I cannot wait to see the final product!

I was very clear that I wanted to remodel my historic condo in Charleston, SC in a Japandi Style and couldn’t find anyone local who I felt understood my vision. On a whim, I googled “Japandi Interior Designers” and found Erin. I felt a little uneasy going with someone I hadn’t met without a huge portfolio in addition to designing remotely, but that uncertainty quickly passed once I met Erin and experienced her amazing communication and organizational skills. We accomplished a lot in a short time because of her professionalism, communication, and eye for design. She’s also just a lovely person in general. She was able to propose ideas and guide the design details while also staying true to my vision, making sure that the style, proportions and scale of everything looked good. I’m extremely happy with how things turned out and would work with Erin again in a heartbeat.

Erin is a talented interior designer who is so much fun and a complete joy to work with! She takes the time to listen and collaborate with you to create a vision for your home, and patiently guides you through the process of executing it. She will never make you feel inferior for how much you are able to spend, or dumb for suggesting certain ideas. She is just gonna calmly talk you through figuring out all the thousands of small and large decisions that come along with a remodel so it's not quite so daunting and overwhelming. It is truly so much easier and so much more fun to have her on your team. She is currently based in Brooklyn and we are able to get a ton of work done through weekly virtual meetings. She offers different design hour packages that are flexible enough to meet whatever needs, budget, and degree of desire to be actively involved in the process you may have. I feel very lucky to have found her as I undergo the process of completely remodeling my house.
