Stopped here on our way from Chico to Yosemite on Labor Day 2025. Cheaper gas than other places in the area, and has lots of food options nearby, so pretty convenient for a stop.

Ernie's General Store makes really good Deli sandwiches. I go there at least once a week. You can even use your EBT card to get a Deli Sandwich. You can't use your EBT card to get hot sandwiches. Wednesday they have tri tip. Oh so dam good

Don't pay the price for the "special Monday ribeye" sandwich. Waited 20+ minutes for this and there was probably 1oz. of meat on the thing - it was mostly bread. Disappointed and won't be back any time soon.

Me and my buddy German stop by the other day at lunch during work to get a deli sandwich and oh my lord was the quality of me bread and fresh ingredients top notch with flavor and every bite I would definitely recommend you to stop by Ernie's general storey on Waterloo road right off of 99 to pick up a sandwich or some of their freshly made shorbet ice cream

Was going to give it zero stars, but they won’t allow it. Zero customer service, mediocre sandwiches, and an attitude that makes you wonder why anyone raves about this place. They don’t even let customers use the restroom. Save your money there are far better options out there.
