The New Chef at Georgetown’s Ciudad Adds Spanish Influences | Eater Seattle

"With executive chef Jon Langley leaving Dexter Brewhouse to become food and beverage manager at the Sound Hotel, the company is not currently searching for a replacement because the menus Langley created are described as easy to execute and the kitchen staff he hired are strong enough to handle future developments on their own." - Megan Hill

Stopped by w/ the family on a picture perfect fall afternoon. What an incredible place. Great space, super friendly customer service and most importantly, great beer. I had the amber ale and I can't remember ever having a better one. My wife had a sour which was delicous. Kids had Italian sodas which they loved. Wonderful place to enjoy time w/ family and friends.

I dropped by Erratic just to pick up some beer to go, but it seemed like a nice place. The space was open and fairly bright, and the staff seemed nice. I brought home some of their dark lager, Günter, which was very nice and malty. I’d definitely like to stop by someday and spend more time.

We visited over lunch on a Saturday. We bought lunch from Ratterman Bread Haus and brought it over to the brewery. We had a flight and really liked the Chocolate Raspberry Stout. They had sodas and lemonade for non drinkers. The room was busy but there was still a table immediately available. They also sell coffee and hot cocoa. Free Wi-Fi and ample parking, right next to the Border to Border trail.

They hosted the holiday hustle 13.1 mile run. I'm from Canada and came over for the run I stupidly didn't bring US cash. My visa usually works but was unfortunately not going through. Even though the bar was very busy the girl behind the counter was extremely kind to me and didn't make a big deal about an embarrassing situation. I hope to come back and repay their kindness.

Google
Great atmosphere, staff, beer and vibe! We’ll definitely come back.

Google
The client for today's photo shoot recommended that I stop in here. Erratic is kind of appropriate for this brewery. The selection of beers range from decadent to delicious. The headbrewer drew four delicious choice of beers for a flight for me: Shadows, Patches, Gunter, & Brothers Magnus. The name for each beer is creative and whimsical with a couple of obscure movie references you will appreciate.

I can't speak highly enough of Erratic! The atmosphere is great, the brews are tasty (Patches forever please) and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. I have been coming here for a few years now and it is has been great whether I am just hanging by myself or meeting some friends. Cheers to 5 years!

Google
Awesome! Friendly staff, awesome beer selection cool atmosphere! Super bonus that I was able to stop in for a beer while waiting for my vegan sandwich from Ratermans Breadhaus!

Yelp
Went for Friday night trivia. Bartenders were extremely welcoming and helpful. Service was quick. Small area but lots of seating.

Yelp
Great beer AND coffee. Not many places have such a great combination. Right near the trail head in Dexter. We love walking the dog in the morning and getting a coffee in the great outdoor space. Plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas. We like the Adirondack chairs. Staff are always offering to bring out water bowls for our dog. We also come around noon to great beers, wines or coffee. Plus then the bread company (Ratterman's) is opened next door. We'll grab a pizza or a loaf of bread and have it with our drinks. Night time we've come for live music or hang out and get some work done with a drink.

Yelp
I love this place. First visited in July to meet friends on the patio for my birthday. It's was a perfect weeknight gathering spot. Great selection of draughts. The kicker is the pizza from next door if you catch them open. Raterman pizza with a pint was next level in taste, texture, quality and enjoyment of a meal. Happy birthday to me!! The cheese plate was ok. Idk why ordered it. I didn't want cheese but wanted a snack. The music was really good. The staff was very friendly. It was a perfect evening. I've been back twice since and will keep coming back. Love it.

Yelp
Admittedly I haven't had the beer here yet but I am already absolutely in love with this place given the vibe and the coffee! My husband and I were walking around Dexter for the first time in WAY too long and I caught this spot on the Yelp app searching for coffee. Erratic Ale pop up and I was delighted to see that in addition to the brews they also had brews of a different sort. Cold brews, that is! So we wandered over and discovered the most joyous scene! There's loads of outdoor seating and folks were heartily enjoying the beautiful Sunday sipping a variety of beverages while hanging out. Inside, there was a lively bar and a very lovely band playing upbeat, old timey instrumentals on a hammer dulcimer, mandolin, fiddle, stand-up bass, etc. So delightful. We grabbed stepped up to the bar and ordered a couple of nitro cold brews and chatted with the bartender (possible owner?) about the place. He was super nice and chatty and gave us a run down of the place. I didn't' catch if there was a food menu but reviews here do point to not much of one, instead they welcome you to bring in food, particularly from the restaurant right next door. I took a peek and their pizza looked heavenly. We had just eaten so we didn't stay for that but we'll definitely make sure to do it next time! Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Cute place next to Raterman's where you can bring the food from next door. Good selection of beers and nice outdoor seating area. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Nice place. About a dozen tables inside and more outside -weather permitting. Today they had 12 beers on tap and 3 wines plus hard seltzer. Connection with Raterman bread. We stopped in for a pizza and a few drinks. You can bring your food over and enjoy a beverage which is really nice. Dog friendly . Two people working the bar which we were greeted quick and opened a tab. Enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks, a Friday @4:30 pm and was about half occupied. Relaxing and enjoyable place.

Yelp
My husband and I grabbed drinks here to go with the pizza from next door. Drinks were great, service was the same. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
They share a building with the new Raterman's so we ordered food from Raterman and then came here for our beverages. I had an iced coffee and my daughter had a couple tiny flights of beer. They have their own food menu of sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches if Raterman's isn't open (their hours overlap but aren't the same). They also have large doors that open and have screens to let in fresh air but keep the bugs out. The patio seating is dog friendly and had plenty of umbrellas for shade. The bathrooms are handicap-accessible and gender neutral. They are located off Main Street near the cemetery and the dirt lot near the B2B trail.

Yelp
Amazing little brewery off the B2B trail in the quaint town of Dexter, Mi. My first visit was with my daughter after a bike ride on the trail. I found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable on the beer options. The owners, Deb & Brian, greet you as if you were family with welcoming smiles. The variety of beer choices are fresh and flavorful from sours to stouts to ales & lagers. They have a small food menu that is delicious but if you are looking for a fuller meal, Raterman's Bistro, is right next door and you can bring your food over while sipping on a quality beer. They also have an espresso bar with many choices for coffee enthusiasts in the morning! Live music on Thursdays, Trivia on the weekends and outdoor seating to bring your furbaby! This brewery is a GEM!!!

Yelp
I'm a beer guy, and I stopped by this place on a whim, and was very impressed. Really some outstanding unique beers. They sell tasters, and I tried about five, and every single one was top-notch. If you're a beer connoisseur, this place is worth a stop. You can also take beer to go in growlers. Lots of other great things about this place, including the space, which is comfortable and clean and sociable, and their next-door neighbor Raterman's, which makes great food. But the beers are really special. Kudos to the brewmaster.

Yelp
We wrapped up a hike at Pinckney and felt like stopping in somewhere on our way home for a beer. We hopped on Yelp and this place in Dexter popped up. We walked in to find that there was some kind of Irish or Bluegrass music jam happening, which was really cool. The place is pretty cozy and all the indoor tables were taken around 4 pm on a Sunday so we grabbed a seat at the bar. We got immediate service and ended up ordering two beers and a Bavarian pretzel. I got the Saison and liked it. My husband got one of the Belgian beers and liked his too. We scarfed down the pretzel so also ordered a panini with cheese and sun-dried tomato jam. It came with chips and was tasty. My husband is vegetarian so was happy that it looked like everything on the menu was vegetarian-friendly. In general, we were pleasantly surprised that we found this place in Dexter. We haven't spent time in the town before, and didn't know what to expect but this was the perfect place for a couple beers and a post-hike snack. Other notes: -They have gender neutral bathrooms -They also have a coffee area behind the bar with an espresso machine -They also serve some wine -They have an extensive outdoor patio area with heaters

Yelp
What's not to like about this place? - Excellent brews - Great setting with plenty of room to spread out. - Atmosphere and hospitality are great whether inside or out. - Beautiful location away from the Dexter auto traffic that plagues the rest of the town. - Friendly staff with great service and hospitality

Yelp
Excellent beer and friendly service. Trivia on Monday night was entertaining and well-run. The outdoor seating is pleasant and dog friendly, and the atmosphere inside is cozy and inviting.

Yelp
We very much enjoyed this brewery! It was quiet when we came in but that ended up being a great thing! We enjoyed talking to the beertender about the brewery and learn more. We were interested in the stone charm for the tagabrew and were surprised to find out that the name had a geological influence! Erratic refers to a rock or boulder that is different from the surrounding ones. And is thought to be brought in from a glacier. Cool! After learning about the origin of the name, we chose our beers. We really enjoyed our time here and they participate in the hop passport! Such a great deal. Over the years we have saved a ton of money using hop passport!

Yelp
I am not sure why an establishment 50 yards from the bike trail would turn away cyclists. You can tell a child-friendly restaurant by the booster seats stacked near the hostess station. You can tell a pet-friendly spot by the dog water dish by the entrance. Likewise, you can tell a restaurant's attitude to bicyclists by where the bike rack is. At this place it's pushed behind the garbage dumpster out of sight. So, if you are biking through Dexter and want a pre-ride latte or a post-ride ale, don't come here. For coffee and pastry visit the Dexter Bakery or Joe & Rosie's. Or better yet, pedal the 5 miles to Chelsea at give your business to a real bike-friendly restaurant: Zoe Zou's

Yelp
Great place for a fresh beer with friendly staff. Nice outdoor patio, good pizza, we will go again.

Yelp
Friendly service. Tastes offered. Sandwich was tasty. We loved sitting in the spring sunshine, talking and enjoying a good brew!

Jerald B.

Yelp
Quality beers, they generally have a nice amber and wheat beer. This is a nice place to hang out. I recommend it. Friendly staff.

Kevin F.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Limited food menu. Great beer selection. A portion of some selected beer sales goes to charity.

Yelp
Great beer, snacks, outdoor and indoor seating! Awesome addition to the Dexter community! Very great customer experience!

Rock G.

Yelp
Excellent place. Nice casual vibe. Service was standout Also liked the fact that in addition to their own food, could get sandwiches and pizza from the place next door and bring it in.

Yelp
I liked this place and plan to return. The owner, his wife and the staff were all very friendly. My son and I enjoyed both of their IPAs. The Amber was a homerun. It was just a comfortable place to be. Two little nits. The only food was from a pizza truck and their Margarita style pizza was a gooey mess and to be avoided. Later in our visit, some guy came in and setup for some sort of a game night. It was just annoying as my son and I were enjoying our conversation.

Yelp
We stopped in here after a long walk in Hudson Mills--it was our first time in a bar, brewery, or restaurant since March. The brewery is super clean, good outdoor seating with shade, friendly service, and good beer. We liked the hazy (it's actually a perfect summer beer--light with good citrus), the Irish red, and the amber. It's a perfect stop after a bike ride in Dexter, or it's a short walk from town for a pre- or post-dinner beer. Highly recome

Yelp
Super-friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Nice selection of good beer and munchies. Dog-friendly (outside patio). Our dog also gives them 5 stars.

Yelp
Heck yah, this place is superfly. Not usually a fan of stout, but thier Shadows is a favorite now.

Douglas S.

Yelp
Loved the beer and the atmosphere, very cozy environment. Staff was just excellent answering questions, and very friendly. Very warm and non-pretentious, opposite of the typical sports bar chain. Great value.

Riley G.

Yelp
This place is amazing, and probably the best edition to Dexter businesses that I can remember in my 15+ years of living here. The beers are excellent, and the shadows stout was really one of the best beers I have ever had. I was just happy to have a brewery in town, but this place blew me away with how well crafted the brews are. I will continue to support, the outdoor seating is great and the workers are good guys!
