North Wales Travel Guide Resources & Trip Planning Info by Rick Steves

"▲▲  Home to hobbit-cute villages (Beddgelert, Betws-y-Coed), the excellent National Slate Museum and a tourable working slate mine, several historical railways, the dramatically set Harlech Castle, and tall-by-British-standards Mount Snowdon." - Rick Steves' Europe

Very hard to rate and talk about it . It's an amazing place surrounded with heels and mountains whith a lot of springs and lakes Whits lovely little villages .The views are astonishing and you need weeks or months to cover all locations and places. Honestly it's one of the most amazing places I ever been.

This is the most beautiful country side and to drive through it it's breath taking its a must now and again to the car and just take it all in . September/October is a great time to as the weather is still good but much more quiet just how we like it...

Lot of beautiful scenery, we parked at a lane for £8 I recommend not parking at the visitor car parks or they charge you 40 pound only for couple hours of parking, and I recommend doing it not in summer do it in spring, or else it's just a big crowd on the paths. Enjoy your hike 😊

Breath taking very beautiful I could stand there and look out over the valleys and mountains for ever. I promised mother I would return her to her homeland if she passed away and I did just that After arriving there I knew why she would want to spend eternity there breath taking beautifully like I have never seen anywhere but in North Wales wear my mother was born

Very difficult and long hike. You’ll spend atleast 3-4 hours for uphill and 3 hours downhill. No water and toilets throughout the way, except starting point at pen-y-pass and at the summit, quite shocking and disappointing but the views are very beautiful and picturesque!

Spent a day driving through the national park during our trip to north Wales. Very pictures and not too commercialised. Highly recommend especially if you enjoy natural beauty, mountains, lakes and greenery!

Snowdonia is a national park in North Wales. 🫶 It is home to the highest mountain in Wales and the second highest in the UK - Snowdon. ⛰️ It is the only place on the British Isles where the arctic-alpine plant called the "Snowdon lily" grows. 😉 I spent a lot of time at the summit itself, just wanting to enjoy the view. 🫶

A visit to Snowdonia National Park is definitely worth a visit. If you come to Wales, you have to explore the area. There are a lot of things to do. Hiking in the beautiful mountains. There are quite a number of routes. Taking a tour in the Sygon Copper Mine, where you can explore on your own. So, when you book your next vacation, plan one in Wales.
